Coi Leray and Trippie Redd went their separate ways roughly five years ago, but it looks like their feelings for each other never really went away. Recently, they decided to give their romance another chance, this time with a bit more wisdom and life experience. In a sweet clip, the two of them are seen standing onstage at a concert when she pulls him in for a kiss. Hopefully, there will be a happier ending this time around for the fan-favorite couple, who’ve been rumored to have rekindled their relationship for months now.

For those who don’t recall, Coi and Trippie didn’t exactly have a clean break back in 2019. He addressed their messy split on his track “Leray,” which appears on his mixtape A Love Letter to You 4. “It was love at first sight and misery after two months/ Always feeling f**ked up either by love or no love,” he confesses in the emotional song.

Coi Leray & Trippie Redd Share Sweet Moment Onstage

Coi didn’t take kindly to the song at first, telling No Jumper at the time that she feared he was using her name for clicks. On the other hand, she praised Trippie for his ability to express himself through music. “At first, no, I didn’t like it. It was very like, what the f**k, because I always thought we really had something outside of the music,” she explained. “Just like me, I’mma put my feelings in a song and my emotions in a song and he does it very well, and that’s one thing I gotta give to him.”

Of course, both of them have come a long way since then, both personally and professionally. This likely means they’re more ready than ever to stick together for the long run. Federal Judge Rules The No-Knock Warrant Did Not Cause Breonna Taylor’s Death, Charges Against Officers Dismissed

A federal judge decided that two Louisville Police officers who were charged with submitting a false affidavit to search Breonna Taylor’s home were not responsible for her death.

U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson said that Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, was responsible for her immediate cause of death by firing at the officers, causing them to respond with lethal force.

Back in 2022, Detective Joshua Jaynes and Sgt. Kyle Meany were charged with submitting a false affidavit to search Taylor’s home before the raid and then creating a fake story to avoid responsibility after Taylor was killed during the raid. They were also charged with felonies for using a dangerous weapon to deprive Breonna of her Fourth Amendment right to defend herself against unreasonable search.

Both officers would’ve have received life sentences of they were found guilty. Both are also stil facing other pending charges, with Meany facing one charge of false statement to federal investigators, while Jaynes has been charged with two counts of falsification of records, conspiracy to falsify records and witness tampering.

Jaynes could get up to 40 years if convicted and Meany could get 5 years behind bars. They both have been fired from the Louisville Police Dept.

DJ Akademiks had some strong words for Yung Miami following her viral clowning of Joe Budden’s “Pump It Up” going Gold two decades after its release. Moreover, the streamer took issue with her laughter, saying that Budden has benefitted more from his career than she ever will from her own. Also, Ak posited that the former City Girl doesn’t even write any of her own lyrics, and that she shouldn’t be making fun of artists like this. In addition, he also said that she isn’t getting support from her label and that people don’t want to write for her anymore.

Elsewhere, this is what DJ Akademiks said of Yung Miami’s alleged involvement in her former boo Diddy’s legal situation. “With all due respect, you are a pretty girl,” he posited on his livestream. “But there’s a lot of pretty girls. Beauty, especially seeing all these girls get lip fillers, they’re wearing fake hair. That ain’t their hair, right? They get some implants, they put their t***ies up to their neck.

“Like, it’s easy to create the idea of beauty that a man would be appealed by,” DJ Akademiks went on. “So what makes you special? Is it because you have some fame? No, Diddy’s messed with way more famous women than you. He had J. Lo, for God’s sakes. What makes you special? I’m going to tell you. If you disagree with me, it’s because you don’t know no n***as in the industry. Because I talk to these n***as. Like, what is it about this girl?

“You know what they say?” DJ Akademiks finalized. “A chick like Yung Miami… She do everything. Put it like this: self-respect is the kryptonite of rich n***as. Women: self-respect is the kryptonite of rich n***as. They don’t want to be around you when you’re saying, ‘Ah, I’m not doing that.’ The women who are in the game, they know this, too. DJ Akademiks Defends Nicki Minaj’s Possible Explanation For Her Ice Spice Beef

Nicki Minaj recently sparked a whole lot of fan speculation with some recent moves that some Barbz interpreted as shade towards Ice Spice. For those unaware, the former unfollowed the latter on Instagram and then told fans to stop asking questions about “other people” amid this drama. As such, many put two and two together, but this equation doesn’t really confirm whether or not there are real issues at play here. Nevertheless, DJ Akademiks recently responded to this during his livestream, defending the Trinidadian MC for her choices and for the way in which she’s conducting business with these artists.

Of course, Ak’s main point of defense for Nicki Minaj’s treatment of Ice Spice was to compare her to her Young Money partner and his fav, Drake. He said that Drizzy rubs a lot of artists the wrong way for taking control of publishing and masters, but the media personality justified this through the notion of the “Drake stimulus package.” He’s already defended this model to death before, so it’s no surprise that he understands why Nicki is moving in the way she’s moving. To be clear, this approach from a massive artist to a relatively smaller one isn’t necessarily an automatic point of condemnation, as any sort of deal in the music industry can turn sour if executed irresponsibly.

DJ Akademiks Speaks On Nicki Minaj’s Label Comments Seemingly Aimed At Ice Spice

Here’s what Nicki Minaj had to say about rappers signing to white labels instead of her Heavy On It imprint, which many saw as an Ice Spice dig. “Motherf***er tell somebody they don’t want to sign with Heavy On It,” she expressed. “But then they’ll go and sign with the white peoples. And guess who the white peoples finna call? Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty. They always get the attention of the Barbz. If your name is not on [the new version of] Pink Friday 2, they’re not a Heavy On It artist.”

Meanwhile, this is what Ice Spice had to say about Nicki Minaj recently. “We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she posited. “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”

In a clip from her Instagram Live, she asked fans whether or not she looked pregnant as she anticipated the results.

Eventually, she unveiled the test, along with the box to prove it was the real deal. Fortunately for Jania, it was negative, meaning that she was not expecting. Based on her reaction to the news, the test may not have been taken entirely out of boredom, as she seemed extremely relieved.

Jania Meshell Celebrates After Confirming She’s Not Pregnant

Offset Appears To React To Pooh Shiesty Making His Move On Cardi B

Yesterday, Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty was not going to let anything stop him from shooting his shot with Cardi B. Currently, the “Back in Blood” creator is behind bars, doing time for federal conspiracy charge from January 2022. He is now almost two years into the sentence, with just about three years and two months to go. At various points, the former 1017 signee has popped onto social media, and it almost always causes a stir amongst fans. However, Pooh Shiesty attempting to woo the ex-wife of Offset definitely takes the cake over everything else he’s done online while behind bars.

Cardi B went on Instagram Live the other day and the Southern hip-hop star was ready to risk it all. “I’m 5 mins away baby open the door”. Obviously, she is going through quite a bit right now. Cardi is currently pregnant with her and Offset’s third child, and they are also going through their second divorce. It’s still pretty unclear as to what led to her coming to this decision. Lil Yachty Seemingly Cancels His Podcast, But Co-Host Mitch Ensures That There Is No Beef Between Them

In his own words, Lil Yachty has had enough. Over the past few weeks, the “Sorry Not Sorry” rapper found himself in the focus of a public hate train. From backlash over his uncleared Mr. Hotspot sample usage and regrets over speaking on Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s beef to Karrahbooo leaving Concrete Boys, Yachty hasn’t left Twitter’s (currrently X) trending topics list.

Unfortunately, today (August 23) that won’t change as Lil Yachty seemingly suggested that he’s canceling his podcast, A Safe Place. Yesterday (August 22), during an Instagram livestream, Lil Yachty revealed that he and co-host Mitch weren’t in a good place after their interview with Key Glock, which was intensified when a viral tweet (viewable here) hinted at friction in their friendship.

“Y’all talking about Lil Yachty disrespecting his friend in front of Key Glock,” he said. “I didn’t even want to do a podcast bruh.”

He went on to say it was Mitch who presented the idea of “doing something in life,” to which Lil Yachty answered by helping to build him a platform starting with a podcast.

But that seems to be over as he yelled: “F*ck you and the podcast.”

Like thousands of users Mitch watched that video (viewable here here) and took to his X page to respond but to defend Yachty.

“Please don’t let that clip misguide you,” he wrote. “It doesn’t represent me and Yachty’s friendship at all. We joke around pretty harsh sometimes too much fr sometimes but irl it’s nothing but respect and love. I can’t even get on here and act like it’s not.”

He also shut down rumors of Yachty supposedly stealing money from him. “If you don’t hear it from me it’s not true,” he wrote. “Bro never stole from me and we don’t have no shady history or anything along that nature so that’s cap.”

The future of A Safe Place podcast is unclear. However, Mitch won’t be waiting around either. He shared that he is ready to launch a new project.

“I’m dead,” he wrote. “The next podcast will be epic ion even think we need a guest this time lol. see ya around.”
