Born on June 2, 1964, Simon Iyore Guobadia is a Nigerian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and executive producer. He grew up in Nigeria with seven siblings in what he describes as an upper-middle-class family. Before immigrating to the United States in 1982, Guobadia completed his elementary and high school education in Nigeria. Although he had already started college in Delta State, Nigeria, he had to drop out to move to the States. Subsequently, he was admitted into the University of the District of Columbia, Washington D.C., to study Accounting. Guobadia eventually graduated from UDC with a BBA in Accounting in 1993.

After graduating, Simon Guobadia worked as a Certified Public Accountant “with a focus in Audit & Accounting, Transactional Tax Consulting and Software Development for several global prestigious firms.” However, in 2007, he began his journey down a different career path when he founded Simon & Company. Now known as Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, LLC, the company supplies refined fuels in Atlanta, Georgia.

Over the years, Guobadia has enjoyed significant success through this company and branched out into other industries. According to his website, he has “businesses in Oil & Gas, Renewal Energy, Manufacturing, and Commodities Trading.” In addition, Guobadia has successfully ventured into the film industry. He is credited as an executive producer on Son of the South (with Spike Lee), Jail House Dogs, and Kill, among other movies. Also notable are his works in philanthropy. Described on his website as his “greatest purpose,” philanthropy is something Guobadia takes very seriously.

Love & Family

Altogether, Simon Guobadia has been married four times. While his first two marriages didn’t work out, they bore him his five kids, whom he loves very much. Guobadia seems to be very big on family and often posts photos of his kids on Instagram. His third marriage, as some know, was to none other than Falynn Guobadia. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star became Mrs. Guobadia in June 2019. However, in April 2021, the pair separated.

Subsequently, after one month of dating, Simon Guobadia and Porsha Williams announced their engagement in May 2021. They sealed the deal in November 2022, when they held both Nigerian and American wedding ceremonies. Unfortunately, their marriage is now coming to an end. Over the past couple of months, Michigan multi-hyphenate DDG has put out two singles. Unfortunately, they have not been very memorable in our opinion. His voice seems to be the biggest issue we have with sound. For some reason, it is hard to tell when you hear a song from him. The beats have also been fairly run-of-the-mill. However, DDG is riding a bit of a different wave on “Sh**t Up Your Block.”

The reason we say that is because Cash Cobain produced this cut. If you are not familiar with his style, it is very woozy, low-key, and hazy. He also likes to rely more heavily on bass and less drums. That is the case with “Sh**t Up Your Block.”

Though the charges were eventually dropped by the judge, Kodak remained in police custody. But after a few weeks behind bars, he navigated through the legal system enough to secure his release. That wasn’t without the help of his lawyer though and the impact he had isn’t lost on Kodak. That’s why it’s no surprise that the rapper took to Instagram to shout out his legal advisor.

In a recent post to his story, Kodak shared a picture of the pair together. While it’s an older pic from May of last year, the timing of the post makes its intention clear. Underneath a repost of the picture fans react to Kodak’s lawyer once again coming in clutch for him. “His lawyer might be the goat no lie” one of the top comments on the post reads. “He got a gta lawyer fasho” another top comment reads. JPEGMAFIA Plays Alternate Version Of Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s “FUK SUMN,” Crowd Goes Ballistic

JPEGMAFIA recently performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX in México on Wednesday (March 6), and played an alternate version of the VULTURES 1 cut “FUK SUMN” that made fans in the crowd go ballistic. Moreover, it’s one of a few tracks that he helped produce for Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collab album, along with the opener “STARS,” the dramatic and choral-inspired “BEG FORGIVENESS,” and the closer “KING.” This version is a bit darker and features Quavo on it, some ethereal high-pitched synths, and a slightly different structure and percussion mix. It’s a pretty solid and subtle reimagining, especially considering that we can only hear it through a live recording of it.

Furthermore, a lot of fans are wondering whether JPEGMAFIA will also help this duo out for the next installments of Vultures. However, at least at press time on VULTURES 2‘s previously scheduled release date, it doesn’t seem like this will manifest just yet. It’s March 8, and the album still isn’t out, although this is exactly what happened with the first installment of this supposed trilogy. Regardless, with some listening parties on the cards, we can’t imagine that this is an easy end to this tale.

JPEGMAFIA’s Live Version Of “FUK SUMN”: Watch

Meanwhile, this is also pretty notable because it’s one of the first instances of Peggy acknowledging VULTURES 1 in a while. Last time, it was because of his smoke-searching with Freddie Gibbs, with whom he has a big problem and wanted to engage in beef with. While the Indiana MC responded to JPEGMAFIA in quite the unbothered and mocking way, this was still a really bizarre and unfortunate feud to witness. Maybe we’re projecting here, but their fanbase crossover is much larger than many other rap opponents out there.

Also, this continues the Baltimore creative’s staunch support of Ye, his idol, despite his far-right and antisemitic behavior. As someone who is very left-leaning in his music and interviews -– and literally made fun of not just Kanye despite his love of him, but also the black metal group whose designs the Chicago artist took inspiration from for this album rollout -– this disappointed a lot of die-hards. Eminem Recalled Possibly Being On Ecstasy In His ‘My Name Is’ Video On Its 25th Anniversary

Eminem is one of the most recognizable rappers in the world today, but back in 1999, his debut video for “My Name Is” completely shocked the world. A relative unknown at the time the video dropped, Eminem quickly became a figure of fascination — and controversy –primarily because of the video. It featured imaginative visuals, provocative lyrics, and in perhaps most unusually at the time (at least to the mainstream masses), a white guy who rapped really well. The video boggled the minds of the American public, who still largely thought of Vanilla Ice’s parachute pants when the words “white rapper” came up in conversation.

For the video’s 25th anniversary, Eminem revisited the video with Vevo, revealing some of the secrets of its making via footnotes (for my fellow millennials, think VH1 Pop-Up Videos). In addition to being only the second video of Em’s then-nascent career, it was also a prime case of art reflecting life; in the footnotes, Em jokes that he may or may not have been on ecstasy during the filming.

“If you look closely at my eyes during the scene where I was dressed like Bill Clinton, it may look like I was high on ecstasy during that part of the shoot,” he wrote. “… but that’s just a rumor.”

The Club Shay Shay interview made at least $113,000 from YouTube AdSense and that’s before adding in additional exposure, sponsorships, and onward revenue. The most that Sharpe made in a single season in the NFL was in 2000 when he made $5M. Despite Sharpe’s Hall of Famer career, both his sixth-round draft pick status and inflation must be taken into account.

Elsewhere, Sharpe defended himself against criticism stemming from his now-viral interview with Williams. “I never said I was a journalist. I am not an interviewer. What I always say at the start of my show is that the person who is coming on the show is coming over for a conversation and a drink. I’m a conversationalist,” Sharpe explained to his Nightcap co-host Chad Johnson. Furthermore, Sharpe noted that his show gets the big-name guests that it does because Sharpe offers a “safe space” for them to come and talk.
