Altogether, Simon Guobadia has been married four times. While his first two marriages didn’t work out, they bore him his five kids, whom he loves very much. Guobadia seems to be very big on family and often posts photos of his kids on Instagram. His third marriage, as some know, was to none other than Falynn Guobadia. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star became Mrs. Guobadia in June 2019. However, in April 2021, the pair separated.

Porsha Williams Guobadia just confirmed kicking the door in again with a triumphant return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 16, and get this, she reportedly signed an impressive new scripted deal with NBCUniversal.

ICYMI, Porsha exited RHOA after Season 12, having been on the highly popular Bravo reality show since Season 5. Here’s the drop, if you haven’t followed her real-life storyline … She married Simon Guobadia, an Atlanta businessman. He was on a brief spinoff, Porsha’s Family Matters, that came and went. Porsha also made an appearance in Season 4 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

In addition to her return to RHOA and as reported by Shadow and Act, she also signed an overall scripted deal with NBCUniversal, which will position Porsha with “scripted project opportunities across the company’s broadcast and streaming properties.”

First, I bet you didn’t know Kandi Burruss was reportedly earning $2 million bucks a season as a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which by all standards makes her the highest-paid “Bravolebrity.” WOW. So it is a big surprise that after 14 drama-filled seasons, Burruss is exiting the franchise as she just announced what she calls “a break.”

ICYMI, Burruss first came to the show in the second season. She was already a celebrity in her own right and gave credibility to the franchise as the first big name from outside the Bravo reality world to join the cast. She has used the platform more than most housewives as a bonafide entrepreneur with her adult toy line, restaurants, cosmetics, clothing, acting on series like The Chi, and most recently, acting AND producing Broadway productions. But we say all that to say the news hits the Bravo world during a major cast shakeup for RHOA.

Burruss made the surprise announcement on the red carpet for the 2024 Grammy Awards. She spoke to Variety and exclusively confirmed her exit. “I’m not really keeping up right now,” Burruss said, “I’m not keeping up. I already said it, so I’ll tell you. I decided I’m not coming back this year. It’s been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I’m super excited about those things.”

Then she added, “But it’s not just that. It’s just like, after you really have time to think, and a friend of mine was like, ‘Why do you keep doing it?’ And I was like, ‘Well, I think because I’ve just been doing it for so long, it feels weird to think not to do it?’ So I was just like, ‘You know what? I’m going to take a break, I’m going to take a moment… I’m not coming back this year.’”

If you were keeping up, Burruss previously mentioned on her Instagram Live stream that “she grew frustrated with waiting for casting decisions to be made. She won’t skip a beat with the varying projects she is part of,” as reported by Shadow and Act.

For months there have been rumors that Bravo was planning a total reboot for The Real Housewives of Atlanta and wiping the slate clean to make room for new housewives. Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore spoke with ET online and spoke on the rumors.

ET online reports:

Speaking with ET’s Brice Sander at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Friday, Burruss shared her thoughts on the possibility of a total reboot for RHOA, saying, “Oh, you mean like a total reboot? No, I don’t. I feel like it’s hard enough for them to find one new person a year or two new people a year, to find a whole entire cast. That’s my personal opinion, but you know, hey, they could try.”

Moore added her perspective, declaring, “I would like to just say for the record, we are irreplaceable, okay, period.” Burruss chimed in, highlighting the enduring appeal of her and Moore, saying, “The cool thing about us is that no matter what, you’re always going to see us. We keep it going, and we keep it poppin’. We always have something going on. So, I just respect the franchise in itself. I’ve seen people come and go, or whatever, so I don’t have anything to really say about whether they choose to do it, but you asked me if I think it can be done as a total rebuild, and my answer is no.”

In August, a source told ET, “A major shakeup is coming to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Before the women filmed their recent reunion, they were told that they should expect a big change with the franchise moving forward.”

The source added, “They hinted at a reboot like New York got, but it also could be moving forward with only a couple of the current stars. The cast is on edge about their future and has no idea where the network plans to go. Although their ratings are still strong, the network is listening to fans and their desire for a change.”

A second source, however, told ET no decisions have been made and likely won’t be made until after the reunion airs.

The Real Housewives franchise cast members are no strangers to drama- especially RHOA cast member Kim Zolciak-Biermann, whose current divorce situation with her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, is playing out in the media in real time. In addition to requesting a significant divorce settlement, she now also wants the former NFL player to submit to a hair follicle drug test as part of the divorce proceedings.

Court documents show that the middle age reality star has petitioned the Superior Court of Fulton County to determine if Biermann, 37, is currently using drugs or has in recent history.

The case would require that Biermann “submit to a five-panel hair follicle drug screen” and he would not be allowed to “cut or remove any of his hair until such time as the screen is complete.”

The request comes following Biermann’s filing for “sole physical and legal custody” of the couple’s minor children, who range in age from nine to 11 years old. (Zolciak-Biermann has two older children from a prior illicit relationship.)

Zolciak-Biermann, meanwhile, has requested primary physical custody of the couple’s four children, joint legal custody, and significant spousal support from Biermann as well as the restoration of her maiden name.

Zolciak-Biermann stated that she requested the hair follicle drug test because she “has serious concerns for the safety and well-being of the minor children,” according to court documents.

Despite the fact that Zolciack-Biermann is requesting the drug screening, the court filing states that she expects her soon-to-be-ex husband to cover the drug screening costs.
