Kodak Black’s feature on Don Toliver’s new album HARDSTONE PSYCHO, specifically on the track “BROTHER STONE,” sees him calling out his haters in quite the unfiltered and personally offended way. “B***hes say I’m ugly, they can kiss my a**,” he raps on the cut, making a particular emphasis against people who make fun of his appearance and attractiveness. “N***as hating on me, but they copy my swag / F**k respect and love, as long as these n***as don’t do s**t to me / Throw shots all you want, as long as s**t’s not literally.” We can’t help but wonder what inspired Yak to come through with this energy.

Regardless, Kodak Black has to deal with a lot of drama right now thanks to the odd and unfortunate situation between him and two of his baby mamas. Moreover, one of them allegedly assaulted the other after she found out that he was spending time with that family, and apparently smashed his car windows, too. Overall, it seems like a pretty complicated and contentious situation that social media probably shouldn’t be the spectator of. Nevertheless, people are still commenting on the situation and seeing how this links into the other gossip timelines around the Florida rapper’s relationships.

Now, Blue’s grandmother Tina Knowles spoke out on the matter during a recent interview with Vogue‘s The Run Through podcast. Specifically, she revealed some interesting aspects of the advice that Queen Bey gave her daughter when it comes to dealing with negative attention and a lot of scrutiny.

Furthermore, Tina Knowles began by remarking on how blown away she and Jay-Z were by Blue Ivy’s dancing performance during the “My Power” and “Black Parade” cuts of the RENAISSANCE tour. She called her moves “the best” and recalled how “every night, her dad and me would get on this platform out there and we would just be screaming our heads off, like, with no shame at all.” Of course, some of the negativity towards Blue hampered this otherwise glowing family reception, which must have been somewhat of a blow. “One of her friends came back and showed her some negative comments and it was a great life lesson,” Tina Knowles said of Blue Ivy and Beyoncé. “Because her mom basically said, ‘Listen, if you let this get you down, then they won. So you should go and work harder. And, you know, just work harder and get your skills together and go out there and blast it.’ So it actually worked in Blue’s favor because she was only supposed to do it one time. But now her mom was, that mama bear was on to it. It was like, she was like, ‘You go out there and kill it,’ and she did. She just grew so much from that experience.”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé had previously revealed during the RENAISSANCE tour documentary that Blue Ivy advocated hard for herself to stay on the show after what was supposed to be just one performance. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” the Houston superstar stated. Moreover, she has a former alleged best friend trying to expose her. But through all of this, she seems to be unbothered. SZA Has A Big Problem With Online Haters For This Reason

As one of the biggest superstars in music right now, it’s fair to say that SZA’s dealt with an unfair amount of hate online for a sadly large variety of reasons. People aren’t just content with hating on one’s art anymore: they have to speak on their looks, their words, their moves, their friends… it’s a lot to handle, but surely something that stardom, passion, and moolah can alleviate. Still, the St. Louis singer -– who’s yet to drop LANA thanks to leaks -– thinks that some folks aren’t genuine in their negativity, or at least, that they hate for the wrong reasons.

“Pretending someone is wack Or untalented cause you don’t like them personally is so lame to me lmao,” SZA wrote on Twitter on Wednesday night (April 24). “U gotta Get that hater s**t up out cha spirit.” Funnily enough, this also kind of relates to a recent instance in which her manager, TDE’s Punch, had to defend her amid some hate she received from Brian “B.Dot” Miller. He called a Spotify billboard proclaiming “Snooze” as the best R&B song of the streaming era “propaganda,” causing Punch to clap back and say that he can’t be a hater for his whole career. At least this seemed in good spirits and merely a disagreement over a single song, but maybe they just had to play it off for social media.

Elsewhere, SZA is also not afraid to speak up on issues much larger than music that will definitely earn her a lot of hate due to the difficult and divisive nature of them. For example, she recently said “Free Palestine” at a New Zealand concert, referring to the current abhorrent conflict between Israel and Palestine that, despite its roots tracing back centuries, particularly escalated recently in a way that is causing a lot of death and destruction. While it is a firm stance, perhaps the most important takeaway from artists doing things like this is how it brings attention to the issue and encourages folks to do their research and understand the issue for themselves. It shouldn’t merely result in blind following for either cause.

The rapper was responding to resurgent claims that her Pink Friday 2 tour was not profitable and was only being done to cover her debts.

However, randos on social media are not the only people who have had to eat crow over the tour. DJ Akademiks’ plan to prove Minaj was “washed” backfired when the controversial social media creator discovered live on stream that the rapper’s Pink Friday 2 tour was genuinely sold out. Akademiks, a longtime critic of Minaj, had jumped online to “prove” that the claims of Minaj’s tour sales were overblown. However, try as he might, he was unable to any of her tour dates that had more than a few tickets still available. Minaj continues her tour tonight (March 10) with a show in Seattle.

As mentioned, Minaj has only hit up Oakland, Denver, and Las Vegas so far on the 57-stop tour. The tour runs until July 14, when Minaj will close out with a performance at the Les Ardentes Festival in Belgium.

Saweetie has no time for those hating on her new track “Richtivities”. “yall support a lot of mid music maybe I’ll fit in ,” the rapper wrote in response to someone calling “good looking” but having “mid” music. Furthermore, she took issue with people calling her out for never having “struggled” as she said “Richtivities” was inspired by music that made her “hustle harder”. “praying u have more discernment since u believe everything u see ,” she replied to one critic. “Part time receptionist, part time jordan ambassador, part time coder, part time waitress, created my clothing line MMM & successfully ran it by myself. What’s this called then?” she shot back at another.

“Richtivities” dropped after being teased by the rapper last month. Saweetie posted up poolside to preview her new track. The hook (“I’m doing rich sh-t”) played on repeat as the rapper vibed in pleated corset top and dark pants. From what is heard, the track has Saweetie’s classic pointed vocals and hard, hype-style beat. Fans online seemed pretty pumped for the track. “I kinda like it her music b gettin me hyped when i b doin my makeup & she talkin dat pretty b shi shes not the most lyrical obviously but it b a cool lil vibe,” one person said.
