Asian Doll Apologizes For Calling Wale Ugly But Still Sends Shade His Way

Asian Doll has apologized to Wale for calling him ugly but still described him as “mean.” It comes after she previously labeled him the “worst celebrity” in a since-deleted post. “Why that girl call me Ugly,” Wale asked on Twitter, Monday. “All jokes aside I’m sorry fr you not even ugly just mean,” she wrote back with a crying emoji.

When The Neighborhood Talk shared the tweets on Instagram, fans shared plenty of laughs about the candid response. “So basically pretty in the face but his attitude stanks?” one user wrote with a laughing emoji. Another added: “At least she took the ugly part back and apologized.”

His back and forth with Asian Doll wasn’t the only drama Wale partook in on Monday. He also responded to Meek Mill calling him out while attempting to avoid any escalation. “When u get in other people unserious drama in this industry 90pct of the time they be back friends… eventually ..and then u look silly… in the end… so I love minding my business,” he wrote. “If a photo can create such vitriol, one has to ask himself some questions. Happy Monday.” Meek had accused him of never liking him and threatened him with physical violence. He was unhappy that Wale posed for a picture with his former friend, Dean Stay Reddy.

Lil Yachty Has A Theory As To Why Rappers Are So Angry: “They’re Ugly”

Lil Yachty says that the reason rappers can be “so angry” is because they’re “ugly as f*ck.” He teased the hip-hop community in a video circulating on social media while calling himself “gorgeous.” “I personally think that rappers are so angry and so mad and so ‘grrr’ all the time because they’re ugly as f*ck,” he joked.

Yachty added: “A lot of rappers don’t like what they see when they wake up and they realize that they probably only get women because they get money. Me, on the other hand, I’m gorgeous. And, it’s like I’m happy, life’s great. I got some money, decent looking. I smell great.”

Finesse2tymes & His Girl Diss JT & Lil Uzi Vert: “Who Man You Calling Ugly? Have You Seen Yours?”

JT is best known for the bars she’s created as one-half of City Girls, but the Florida native certainly knows how to run her mouth outside of the studio too. Earlier this week, she found herself in the midst of some nasty internet drama after comparing a baby to Memphis rapper Finesse2tymes, calling both of them “ugly” in response to an internet troll hating on her partner, Lil Uzi Vert. “Ugly baby and dead father 😿,” she wrote. “That baby looks like Finesse 2 x’s. Please leave me alone. I’m not bothering no one 🙂 ❤.”

Following that, the “Twerkulator” hitmaker headed over to Twitter to share some thoughts. “I’m the most unproblematic person ever,” her rant began. “Idgaf ’bout nothing, but if I find time to throw a shot back I will. Nothing personal all love.” In another post, JT went on to say, “[People] will constantly pick on you and call you upset when you respond. I’m not mad, have no reason to be mad! But you mad ’cause I’m not giving you the clarification you want? So you gone constantly bully me for what you wanna hear? Nah, Ima talk about you bad without clearin’ up nothin’. I’m innocent.”

JT Throws Shade While Defending Lil Uzi Vert

The 30-year-old may think that she’s innocent, but Finesse2tymes and his new girl definitely don’t agree. “JT, WHO MAN YOU CALLING UGLY?” FNG Shugga wrote on her Instagram Story after reading the rap diva’s comments. “HAVE YOU SEEN YOURS😕?” she also asked, seemingly poking fun at LUV’s unique new Leslie Chow alter ego they’ve been sporting since Rolling Loud Thailand. The “How to Act” hitmaker also defended himself, threatening to “break” JT in a post on his own profile. “Guess she mad ’cause I said can’t do nun [with] no skinny ho 🤷🏽‍♂️😂,” he typed over a black screen.

As if that weren’t enough, the southern lyricist also addressed the situation during an IG Live session a few hours ago. “Ain’t gone let no hoe get a pass… I’ll stand on a n*gga in the same way,” he told viewers tuning in. Scroll on to see what FNG Shugga and Finesse2tymes had to say for yourself, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Slowthai Is Ecstatic On His Jaunty New Single ‘Feel Good’

Slowthai announced his new album UGLY last month and unveiled the single “Selfish.” In a statement, he said the LP “is completely me — about how I feel and what I want to be… it’s everything I’ve been leading up to… This album was me trying to emulate the spirit of the brotherhood ethos that bands have.”

Today, he’s back with the new single, “Feel Good.” It features backing vocals from Shygirl, and it’s an ecstatic adventure with an infectious beat and a simple message: “I feel so good / I feel so good / I feel so good,” he says over and over.

UK fans of the rapper have a reason to feel so good: He’ll be playing intimate shows there for only a quid, which translates to about $1.23. “I make music for myself but I wouldn’t be where I am without my fans,” he said in a statement. “It’s important to me that people can have access to me and my music so I wanted to go to some new places and play this album first. Times are tough for a lot of people and working with Jägermeister has helped me keep tickets to only a quid.”

Slowthai Announces New Album & Shares “Selfish”

Slowthai’s new album is around the corner. The rapper announced the project along with his new single, “selfish.”

“Selfish” marks the first single from slowthai this year, as he comes through with a genre-bending effort. Though he continues to showcase his wordplay and bars, he’s leaning deeper into the punk rock bag on this one. Dan Carey and Kwes Darko cook up an electronically-tinged production, that carries the grungy rhythms of British punk. At the same time, he proves that he can walk the line between punk and hip-hop effortlessly.

The new single will appear on slowthai’s upcoming album, UGLY, due out March 3rd, which stands for “U Gotta Love Yourself.” The project serves as his follow-up to 2021’s TYRON with Carey and Darko largely handling the production.

In a statement, the “i know nothing” rapper further explained the new sound. Following the release of his debut album, he said he wanted to capture “the brotherhood ethos that bands have” through his sophomore effort.

“Music is about the feeling and emotion that goes into it. Like an artist making a painting, it’s the expression of that moment in time,” he said. “I really felt like I didn’t want to rap, whereas before, rap was the only way I could express myself with the tools I had. Now that I have more freedom to create and do more, why wouldn’t we change it up?”

Check out the new single below.

Quotable Lyrics
Rich get rich and I been one of them
I still see it in my friends, the jealousy
They wanna be me, the grass ain’t always green on the other side
A scary sight at Halloween
I got a few tricks, so we can get a treat

Slowthai Announced His Third Album, ‘UGLY,’ And Shared A Grungy New Song Called ‘Selfish’

Slowthai is set to return with his third studio album this spring. His latest, UGLY, a backronym for U Gotta Love Yourself, will arrive in March. On the album, Slowthai will deliver his signature searing, politically charged raps, but will also experiment with more melodic sounds.

He said in a statement:

“The first album was the sound of where I’m from and everything I thought I knew. The second album is what was relevant to me at that moment in time, the present. And this album is completely me — about how I feel and what I want to be… it’s everything I’ve been leading up to… This album was me trying to emulate the spirit of the brotherhood ethos that bands have. Music is about the feeling and emotion that goes into it. Like an artist making a painting, it’s the expression of that moment in time. I really felt like I didn’t want to rap, whereas before, rap was the only way I could express myself with the tools I had. Now that I have more freedom to create and do more, why wouldn’t we change it up?”

Ahead of UGLY, Slowthai has shared “Selfish,” a new, grungy rock-influenced track, on which he lets go of the expectations of others, in favor of a better life for himself.

[WATCH] Nas’ “Ugly” Video Exposes Universal Hood Struggles

Nas Ugly Official Video 0 2 screenshot

Nas has always used his craft to raise the consciousness of his fans. Whether it’s inspiring the youth with songs like “I Can” or waking the world up to what goes on in the ghetto with “N.Y. State of Mind,” the Queens native always spoke truths in his raps.

His new video, “Ugly,” is no different. Nas and Hit-Boy, get chauffeured around New York, revealing the ugly things that plague low-income communities. He speaks about poverty, jealousy, and hatred. It even exposes the problems people face who are aiming to escape the struggle. The “Ugly” video is shot in black and white because Nasir’s message is pretty simple; the struggle is still real for people apart of the ghetto.

“Damn, big dog
Dove in that water and got hit with a cannonball
Ugly Christmas sweater party with no Santa Claus
Companies profit off of black trauma
That’s ugly, mad ugly just like Sheneneh and Wanda,” raps Nas.

“Ugly” is a single released from Nas’ Magic project. Magic, which dropped in December of 2021, is the fifteenth studio album from the New York story-telling hot-spitter. It was also the second album that Nas dropped in 2021, along with King’s Disease II, nominated for a GRAMMY. Magic is a nine-track project produced by Hit-Boy, and it adds to the historical Hip-Hop catalog of Nas.
