Latto Gets Gun Charge Dismissed After Community Service

It looks like Latto can finally move on with her life. The “Put It On Da Floor” rapper had a charge related to a gun dismissed. However, it was only after she finished a gun safety course and more than 100 hours of community service. According to TMZ, her case was dismissed on Tuesday by the L.A. County Superior Court. The charge was related to an incident in May 2021 at Los Angeles International Airport. Latto was accused of carrying a loaded concealed firearm. The judge ordered her to complete a safety course and perform 120 hours of community service. The rapper also had to steer clear of firearms. It would appear she has now accomplished all of this.

Latto’s lawyer released a statement about the matter, expressing that it was a favorable outcome. “I am extremely pleased with the outcome and glad my client can move forward with her flourishing career,” Latto’s attorney said. Latto, however, had previously denied a story that she was “close” to completing her community service hours. “Idk who put out that false ass information cause I’m not in no damn program,” she said after the news broke. “Also the situation happened over a year ago & y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the Boom pt 2 verse. Nun to ‘brag’ about. Leave me alone.”

Latto Is a Houswife, Not a Gangster

After making a statement about the story on her Twitter, Latto took to Instagram live to talk further about it. According to the rapper, she is not trying to push any kind of gangster image. “That sh*t blowing me,” she said. “B*tch I’m just letting you know you got the story wrong. I’m not gangsta, b*tches, never claimed to be gangsta. I’m not gangsta. Baby I get money, the f*ck? I got a n***a who suck these toes every night, eat this a*s from the back. I cook, I’m a whole housewife I’m not no gangsta. The f*ck?” It seems that Latto didn’t like people interpreting her having a loaded gun at an airport as her being gangster.

The rapper continued, letting people know that she just wanted to move on from the whole situation. “Who wanna brag…I got million dollar deals. Like plural. Multiple million dollar deals on the table. The f*ck? I’m not trying to push no f*cking gangster image, the f*ck?” she said. “As a matter of fact, we kept that sh*t under wraps. This sh*t over a year ago. We kept this sh*t under wraps. I mentioned it in a song cause I was freestyling that verse, and it slipped out my mouth.” What do you think of Latto’s attitude toward the situation? Sound off in the comments!

Latto Denies Entering Diversion Program To Dismiss Gun Charge

Latto set the record straight following reports that she entered a program to dismiss her gun charges. The Atlanta star took to Twitter where she called “cap” on TMZ’s claims that she’s almost done a 1-year program as part of a deal to have her charges dropped. “Idk who put out that false ass information cause I’m not in no damn program,” Latto said. “Also the situation happened over a year ago & y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the Boom pt 2 verse. Nun to ‘brag’ about. Leave me alone.”

In May 2021, police hit Latto with two charges, carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed firearm. The reports claimed that Latto struck a deal that would drop the gun charges under certain conditions. The report claims she had to complete a gun safety course – which they claimed she entered in April 2022 –, perform 120 hours of community service, and refrain from being near any firearms. TMZ said that she has a court hearing in April. At this point, a judge will decide whether or not they will dismiss the firearms.

Latto Explains Gun Charge

The rapper’s gun charges really only came to light when she jumped on Mello Buckzz’s single, “Boom Pt 2.” The brief mention of the gun charge spurred curiosity among fans, who inquired about the backstory of her bar afterward. “Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours,” she wrote on Twitter. “lmaooo booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time! no cap in my rap TUH.

Latto’s previous run-ins with the law also made headlines recently. A few years ago, she recalled the time when she dealt with a bout of mistaken identity that left her behind bars for a few days. The “Big Energy” rapper spent three days in an Atlanta jail before a judge dismissed her and confirmed there was no warrant for her arrest. “I was profiled for ‘looking like’ sum bitch that robbed a n***a… I’m not no robber man,” she explained. “Jail is NOT for me btw.” We will keep you posted on any more information surrounding Latto’s gun case.

42 Dugg Faces Another 5 Years In Prison After Pleading Guilty: Report

It might be a minute until 42 Dugg comes home. The Detroit rapper became one of the leading figures out of the buzzing Michigan rap scene over the past few years. However, just when he was high off of hit singles like “Maybach” and projects like Last Ones Left with EST Gee, he found himself behind bars. The rapper allegedly failed to report to serve a prison sentence and federal agents arrested him in Michigan. What’s worse is that authorities described his arrest as a multi-state operation that uncovered alleged documents in which he claimed to be a sovereign citizen.

Throughout the year since his arrest, there have been few updates surrounding 42 Dugg’s release. However, he continued to deliver a slew of singles to keep fans on their toes. He dropped off “Soon” in May 2022 then dropped, “IDGAF” a few months later. In between those singles, his presence was also felt through a slew of collaborations alongside Lil Baby and Yo Gotti. Unfortunately, things aren’t looking too great for him these days, and it might be a minute until he comes home.

42 Dugg Pleads Guilty

According to Detroit News, 42 Dugg recently pleaded guilty for possession of an illegal firearm, but it might come along with additional prison time. The rapper is reportedly staring down another five years behind bars. During his hearing, Dugg admitted to the court that he purposefully failed to show up to serve a six-month sentence for unlawful carry of a firearm. Unfortunately, it seems as though he could be adding years to that sentence, as well as a fine of $250K.

The rapper initially caught a felony firearm possession in 2020, though he later posted bond. During the time he was free, 42 Dugg allegedly purchased a home in Georgia worth $1.4M that came with 6,500 square footage. It’s an unfortunate incident that should serve as a cautionary tale for other rappers who are beginning to get themselves out of the streets. We’re hoping that he manages to maneuver his way out of the five-year sentence and returns home to pursue his career in hip-hop. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates surrounding 42 Dugg’s guilty plea.

Lil Durk Responds To Akademiks’ Report On His 2013 Arrest

Lil Durk has responded to a report from DJ Akademiks regarding his 2013 arrest. Akademiks shared paperwork from the time allegedly showing that Durk refused to pin a gun charge on a friend of his, despite working to become a star hip-hop artist at the time. In response, Durk commented on Akademiks’ post, “Shhhhhhhhh.”

“Lil durk paperwork from his 2013 arrest shows him unwilling to pin a gun on his homie despite the fact he was a huge star on the come up at that time,” Akademiks captioned the paperwork. “He later resolved that case in court with his lawyer.” Durk also shared the post on his Instagram Story with the caption, “Just shut the f#ck up and you good #thevoice2.0.”

Lil Durk’s Response

In response to Akademiks’ post, many fans made reference to Gunna taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. “Gunna punching air right now,” one user wrote. Another added: “Gunna needs to take notes.” Lil Durk previously dissed Gunna after news broke that he took a plea deal. On a song teased on social media, Durk rapped, “What happened to Virgil? He probably gon’ tell. I let him go because Timo ain’t selling / Thank 7 and Booka I’m bragging on Melvin / When lil boo and them mad it ain’t nothing you can tell them / I can tell you what I did for the streets / you got the paperwork, did it and reached / I got on Clubhouse and got in the beef.” Durk and Gunna both had once worked together on the song, “What Happened To Virgil.”

Despite accepting the plea deal, Gunna and his legal team have said that the rapper intends to plead the fifth if called to testify. “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” the rapper said in a statement.

50 Cent Celebrates Lil Meech’s Cleared Gun Charges

50 Cent just reacted to authorities BMF star Lil Meech’s cleared gun charges from an arrest at a December airport. What’s more is that the Queens rapper was much more to-the-point than usual in his Instagram jabs. Clearly it’s no laughing matter, as the 22-year-old actor faced a felony charge.

Furthermore, his attorneys called the whole ordeal an innocent mistake. According to TMZ, the Broward County State Attorney’s Office dropped its original felony charge against Meech of “introducing a firearm into the sterile area of the airport.” Moreover, said arrest occurred on December 13th of last year. After the whole ordeal, the actor got some bling to commemorate his breakout role.

Police arrested Lil Meech, real name Demetrius Flenory Jr., after airport security discovered a gun in his carry-on luggage. Although all signs pointed to trouble, Meech and his team clarified that the gun and bag belonged to his bodyguard. Reportedly, the bodyguard tried to make this clear, but officials paid him no mind.

Since then, Flenory Jr.’s attorney Bradford Cohen presented prosecutors with a purchase receipt, gun case, and license to carry that disproved his client’s ownership of the confiscated materials. Also, he explained that, given the similarities between Meech’s bag and his bodyguard’s, they mixed things up at the airport.

Moreover, authorities decided to retract from potentially charging the actor with a misdemeanor, based on evidence presented by the “defense.” Even with some hiccups along the way, it seems last month smoothed over well enough for Meech.

Still, 50 was much quicker than the court with his reaction, response, and post-clearance moves. “Ok that’s out the way, now let’s go!” he wrote. Then, his BMF star thanked him in the comments. “Your loyalty is unmatched. I love you and i thank u for everything,” he wrote. Both starts are looking forward to the show’s third season, which was renewed earlier this week.

However, what do you think about 50 Cent’s reaction to Lil Meech’s dropped gun charges? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest from 50 Cent and his TV universes.

Both are for criminal possession of a weapon and stem from incidents in 2019 and 2020. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of one year, with the maximum time he could serve being three years.

In an Instagram post from November 24, the “ROLANDO” rapper let his fans know that he’s planning to turn himself in. “HAPPY THANCSGIVIN TO ALL MY SUPPORTS N PEOPLES. I WILL BE TURNIN MYSELF IN ON DA 30TH OF NOV,” he wrote.

Regardless, the drill rapper has been continuing to drop music while behind bars. Earlier this month (on December 5), he released his six-song EP, CATCH DA FLU.

This caps off a busy year for Locane, serving as his fourth project of 2022. His ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN EP arrived on September 2, followed by SAY DAT just three weeks later. As a collab project with fellow New York drill artists, Rah Swish, Ron Suno and OnPointLikeOP, the latter is an eight-song collection of hard-hitting bangers.

Although locked up, it does appear as though the Brooklyn native is in good spirits. “ALIVE IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE. THEY LOCCED ME PHYSICALLY BUT MY MIND IS FREE. I APPRECIATE THE LUV N SUPPORT, FREE ME,” he wrote in a tweet on Wednesday (December 21).

Ever since Pop Smoke‘s tragic murder in 2020, there have been a number of artists stepping up and keeping the New York drill scene alive. Thanks to his impressive output, Locane has certainly been one of them. The “Dior” rapper was undeniably the leader of their wave, helping to bring their sound to the eyes of the mainstream with his charisma and gruff delivery.

Locane and Pop were childhood friends, growing up in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn together. The “ROLANDO” rapper has even drawn comparisons to his late friend, with a similarly aggressive flow and delivery. We can only hope that the 23-year-old will soon be free.

Kevin Ware Jr. Pleads Guilty To Drug & Weapon Charges

Kevin Ware Jr., a former NFL tight end, is facing charges in his girlfriend, Taylor Pomaski’s death. She died last year after a mysterious disappearance.

In May 2021, Pomaski’s family reported her missing, fearing that she was “possibly endangered.” An ensuing investigation found that she was last seen the month prior. Her disappearance reportedly “appeared suspicious.”

The remains of the deceased were found in Harris County in December 2021. Subsequently, they were positively identified in April this year. Ware faces charges, including murder for his alleged involvement in her death.

Furthermore, a September report from CBS Sports indicates that the former San Fransisco 49ers player has other accusations. These stem from allegedly tampering with the body and evidence.

On Monday (December 12), Ware Jr. agreed to a plea deal on drug and weapon charges from a separate incident.

According to First Assistant District Attorney Michael Holley, the deal was made for two different charges including intent to deliver a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

The accused agreed to a 15-year sentence for each charge but will serve them simultaneously.

However, if he is convicted of the charges stemming from his girlfriend’s death, he could additionally receive up to life in prison.

The NFL’s History With CTE

This case continues a scary trend of former NFL players facing charges for violent crimes like murder, as well as gun charges. More and more research is continuing to be done about the possible head trauma caused by the game of football and its effects on former players.

A 2017 report from The Journal of the American Medical Association discovered that CTE was present in 110 of 111 deceased NFL players.

CTE, otherwise known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy, is a brain disease that causes degeneration. The main cause is repeated head traumas. With this in mind, it’s easy to see how NFL players can easily fall victim to the disease.

As a result, the NFL agrees that modifications are needed for concussion protocols within the game.
