GloRilla’s Abortion Joke Upsets Social Media Users

GloRilla is one of the younger rap divas making her presence felt at this time, meaning she still has some growing up to do when it comes to self-expression. The “F.N.F.” artist has a talent for putting her thoughts into lyrics that become hit songs, but there have been several occasions where her social media posts have landed Big Glo in hot water. The most recent instance was this past weekend when the 24-year-old suggested that she’s eligible for a membership at the abortion clinic after making so many visits.

“Stop asking am I next?” the CMG artist wrote on Twitter after Sexyy Red confirmed that she’s expecting. “Y’all know what I do. I damn near gotta membership at dat place,” she added. Glo obviously didn’t mention abortion by name in her post, but it didn’t take long for followers to infer what she was talking about. “Nah sis, not a good look 😭,” one triggered user replied to the rap diva’s post.

GloRilla’s Tweet Makes People Uncomfortable

“She just wants y’all to stop comparing her and let her live. To each [their] own,” another person declared in Glo’s defense. To be fair, the “Tomorrow 2” artist has spent almost her entire career having her petite frame compared to other women’s BBLs, not to mention their stage presence. For people to presume that she’s ready for children just because her contemporaries are having some of their own is likely frustrating for the rising star, who’s simply trying to craft her own identity in the industry.

Reactions Pour in from Concerned Users

Keep scrolling to see what else concerned GloRilla fans have been saying about her controversial “joke.” Do you think more women with large platforms should be vocal about their abortion experience, or is the Memphis native things taking things too far in exaggerating how easily accessible the process is? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

GloRilla Seems To Suggest She Wants An Abortion Clinic Membership

GloRilla is a bit of a menace on Twitter in the best way; her tweets are often unfiltered, hilarious, and staunchly attitude-driven. However, every once in a while, she gets fans buzzing with cryptic messages, strange confessions or statements, or hints at some scandalous topic. Now, the rapper is raising eyebrows with her latest post on the social media platform for pretty bizarre reasons, in the sense that it’s tough to explicitly confirm that this is what she’s really talking about. “Stop asking am I next y’all kno what I do,” the “Tomorrow 2” MC wrote. “I damn near gotta membership at dat place.”

Moreover, people think that she’s actually referring to an abortion clinic, which does line up contextually. Folks often ask who’s “next” in line to have a baby, clinics do accept memberships, and none of that is taking into account the pro-life or pro-choice debate, which is a massive can of worms. Unfortunately, though, GloRilla’s tweets surrounding this one on Saturday (October 14) don’t provide much further context. As such, maybe this is talking about something completely different, but perhaps we’ll never know.

GloRilla’s Head-Turning Tweet

That aside, she recently was at the center of much more contentious and spicy speculation surrounding her life, relationships, and career. Twitter went wild last week when rumors flew around that the Memphis native and JT of the City Girls got into a physical altercation at this year’s VMAs. This came up months after the ceremony and with no video evidence or alleged clips whatsoever. In other words, this gossip around GloRilla was basically completely unprompted, and responses to it were more viral than the allegation itself.

Meanwhile, that exemplifies another sad instance of femcees being pitted against each other for no apparent reason. Sure, you can talk about artist loyalties, competitive tendencies, and the like, but it still doesn’t excuse fans wanting artists to beef for their entertainment. Until they start scuffling for real or sending shots at each other, we have nothing but assumptions to go off of. For more news and updates on GloRilla, stick around on HNHH.

JT & GloRilla Allegedly Involved In Backstage Altercation At 2023 VMAs

GloRilla, JT

City Girls’ JT and GloRilla found themselves at the center of controversy as news broke of an altercation between the two backstage at the 2023 VMAs. As fans question the validity of these claims, both rappers have remained relatively silent.  Behind The Scenes Of The Alleged Brawl The incident took place on September 12, 2023, […]

GloRilla & JT Got Into Fight At VMAs, Fans Speculate

There are a lot of rumors floating around social media right now that GloRilla and JT had an altercation at the VMAs. Why? Well, it’s completely based off of hearsay, alleged first-hand accounts, and people mostly doubting whether it’s even true. With no video evidence or some real threads from either femcee to go by, take this with a huge grain of salt, as it’s probably just fake gossip. Still, fan response to it has been very strong online, especially on sites like Twitter where fanbases bicker and squabble every day. One particular account, though, claimed to be present at the alleged scuffle… which is just as much of an unsubstantiated claim as everything else involved here.

“I was at the vmas,” the user @NATERERUN wrote this week. “JT & glorilla argued but nobody got hands laid out on them lmaooo relax. Sexyy Red & her publicist stepped in between & stopped it so it wouldn’t get physical. End of the story.” Regardless, this is just one supposed side of a lot of clashing perspectives. As of writing this article, it doesn’t seem like either collaborator has responded to these rumors outright on Twitter or Instagram.

Twitter Speculates On Alleged JT & GloRilla Argument

Furthermore, this is some bizarre gossip to begin with, as the two have worked with each other in the past. Not only have they made a song together with the “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” remix, but they’ve also supported each other on their own individual career endeavors and in public. For example, GloRilla tapped JT to provide a special guest appearance as her therapist in the music video for “Nut Quick.” As such, we don’t have any idea as to why these rumors are spreading with no evidence, video, or even subliminal shot in sight.

Meanwhile, both artists are having a great year so far with singles, performances, new project teases, and a whole lot more. Hopefully this is just somebody mishearing something and not two colleagues turning sour on each other. We’ll have to wait and see just how much weight there is behind this. For more news and the latest updates on JT and GloRilla, keep checking in with HNHH.

GloRilla Revealed That She Was Fired From Nike After Singing A Beyoncé Deep Cut On The Job

Last year, GloRilla‘s life changed after years of putting in hard work. Before making a breakthrough with hits like “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2,” she worked various part-time jobs. However, she admitted that those jobs didn’t always work out.

In an interview with HipHopDX taken at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the Memphis rapper revealed that she once got fired from a job for singing a deep cut by one of her favorite artists.

Glo shared that she worked at Amazon, Walmart, and Nike, but her first love was always music. She always had fun on the job, however, Glo noted that having fun while working these gigs would often result in her getting fired.

“Me and my friend, [rapper] Gloss Up, we were singin’ a Beyoncé song and we got fired from Nike,” she said.

The song in question was “Dance For You” from Bey’s 2011 album, 4. And while she may have gotten terminated from the job, it wasn’t a total L for Glo. Elsewhere in the interview, she revealed that she attended three shows on Beyoncé’s critically-acclaimed Renaissance World Tour this year.

It’s safe to say that Glo’s pre-fame work experiences didn’t break her soul.

You can see the interview above.

GloRilla Recreates Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes’ Look At The BET Hip-Hop Awards

The 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards are fast approaching. Filming began yesterday on October 3 and they will premier on television on October 10, which is on a Tuesday. Plenty of heavy hitters are being nominated for this year’s show, per usual. Metro Boomin, Nicki Minaj, Drake, 21 Savage, The Alchemist, and plenty of others could be taking home more hardware. We already have seen some wild things going on in Atlanta, with Boosie Badazz proudly displaying his ankle monitor. Another artist who is making the headlines from the event is GloRilla.

Memphis rapper, GloRilla has had a big year overall. She continues to grow her catalog with big features and singles. Her most recent releases can be found on her label’s newest posse album, Gangsta Art 2. Glo has a couple of tracks on the CMG project including one that got some negative backlash from streamer Kai Cenat. The rapper definitely has a unique and deep voice that is shaking up the music industry for years to come. She has been nominated for Best Collaboration, Best Hip-Hop Video, Song Of The Year, and Hip-Hop Album Of The Year. On top of all of these recognitions, she is also turning heads with a throwback fit.

Glo wore a funky all-brown get-up that reminded fans of someone who originated it. Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes donned this look at the 1999 Source Hip-Hop Music Awards. However, instead of keeping her hair straight, Glo added some mini buns. A lot of fans are praising the look in the comments section of the IG post above. “I love when people do tributes to left eye ❤🙏🏽” Another says, “RIP LEFT eye.. 🫡 GLO 🔥💪🏽

What are your initial thoughts on GloRilla recreating Lisa “Lefteye” Lopes’ outfit at the BET Hip-Hop Awards? Do you think she did a good job paying homage to it? Kai Cenat Does Not Approve Of GloRilla’s New Song: Watch

Kai Cenat’s streams have only continued to gain more and more popularity over the course of the past year. The 21-year-old from New York has had some incredible moments in his young career. He has been able to meet some of the biggest rappers and social media personalities and it is truly incredible. Cenat’s net worth is hovering around $9 million to $12 million, which not many young adults can say they have at this point in their lives. Over the past couple of weeks, he has been getting his fans ready for big-time collaborations.

In the latter half of September Kai hinted that a stream with him and Travis Scott could be on the way. Apparently, the two met and bonded and there is a decent possibility of this happening. Kai also reacted to UTOPIA and Travis shouted him out on his IG story a few months ago. In addition, Drake could also be another featured guest. The streamer disclosed some of their conversations after the met. “He’s saying, ‘bro, I want to pull up to the crib. We gotta get a stream in,” Cenat said. As we mentioned, Kai also likes reacting to music on his channel, and it another reason why his success has grown.

One of his most recent listens was a new GloRilla and Fivio Foreign track, “Cha Cha Cha.” The song blends a few different samples. One includes the beat from J. Cole’s “Album of the Year (Freestyle).” GloRilla then does an interpolation of the classic dance track “Cha-Cha Slide” from the late legend, Mr C The Slide Man. On top of that, the beat also includes elements of drill due to Fivio’s inclusion. Kai was not digging the sound. In disappointment, he said, “I love Glo bro. I love Glo but no.” Did you have the same feelings as Cenat?

What are your initial thoughts on Kai Cenat’s reaction to GlorRilla and Fivio Foreign’s new song “Cha Cha Cha?” Do you agree or disagree with the streamer’s take on the track? Is Kai the best live streamer right now? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. GloRilla Blasts Twitter Hater Saying She Fell Off, Says She’s Not Going Anywhere

Femcees are at the top of the hip-hop game right now, with GloRilla being one of the biggest stars of the new wave. Between high-profile co-signs and performances, huge hits following “F.N.F.,” and a sought-after social media presence, she’s starting her career off with fireworks. Still, short-term memory loss is a very real thing online, and many believe that the Memphis rapper already fell off after a couple of months being a bit more under the radar. However, she’s not letting any of these assumptions define her right now, and she has no reason to. Moreover, the “Tomorrow 2” hitmaker recently clapped back at a hater on Twitter who thinks she’s done for.

“Glorilla, we will remember your run from May 2022 through September 2022 but it’s over,” the cynical listener wrote on the social media platform. In her response, Big Glo was quite blunt and direct, as she tends to be when dealing with trolls online. “I’ll never go nowhere & I’ll bet every dollar to your name,” she responded to this particular tweet. The industry can be pretty fickle, but probably not enough to stop the CMG signee in her tracks.

What’s more is that this commenter didn’t even time the tweet properly, because you can’t chastise her for a lack of effort. After all, GloRilla just appeared on the CMG compilation Gangsta Art 2 a couple of times, namely alongside Fivio Foreign on the track “Cha Cha Cha.” In fact, she’s been celebrating the drop on Twitter, engaging with fans that are loving the material and building up hype around it. After dominating on her own for a bit there, it’s exciting to hear the 24-year-old step into other artists’ spaces and vice versa to further develop her skills and repertoire.

Meanwhile, she’s always going to be one massive song away from recapturing the excitement behind her breakout onto the scene. Charisma, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to what made the music special will take Big Glo very far. All that’s left to see is how long it takes for the haters to hush up. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on GloRilla.
