G Herbo Announces New Mixtape Titled ‘Best Rapper Alive’

DSC08472GHerbo

G Herbo is getting ready to drop off a new project, and he thinks it will make him the “best rapper alive.”

Speaking with TMZ, Herbo revealed he had new music on the way, a mixtape titled Best Rapper Alive.

In Sept. 2023, G Herbo announced he would be off the Machine Entertainment Group roster, revealing that the label’s executives have monetarily shorted him over the years.

Herbo reveals he has been on the Machine Entertainment roster since he was 16. Machine is led by Joseph “JB” Bowden and Mikkey Halstead. Herbo now states he spent a million dollars in legal fees to get free.

“I been signed to Machine since I was 16 years old,” Herbo said. “I was a minor my parents had to sign me up. I signed my publishing away perpetually for 15 grand. I got to the bottom of it, we got that back. We amended that contract so many times.”

Later, Herbo would reveal someone he trusted with his life was running his business and never touched his residuals. After a meeting, Herbo revealed he was blocked by Machine execs, who also attempted to press charges against him.

You can hear the full details of the bad situation Herbo has found himself in below.

G Herbo was arrested in Chicago in July. According to TMZ, Herbo was arrested at 5:45 PM at the intersection of North Wabash and East Ontario in downtown Chicago.

Herbo was charged with misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon in a public space.

G Herbo did make a bond and will have to return to court at a later date.

Herbo also had almost 300 grams of marijuana in his possession. He will face no charges for the weed.

G Herbo Avoided Prison Time In His Fraud Case, Receiving Three Years Of Probation Instead

When G Herbo pled guilty wire fraud conspiracy last July, he could have faced up to three years in prison. Today, the Chicago rapper — and his fans — can breathe a sigh of relief, as he has been sentenced to three years of probation. While prosecutors wanted one year of prison time on top of the probation, the Massachusetts judge presiding over the case waived that requirement, although Herb was also ordered to pay restitution of $139,968 for each of his two violations (he also pled guilty to making false statements to a federal official, changing his initial plea) and a fine of $5,500.

Herbo was incicted in December 2020 along with five others due to their involvement in a scheme to use real credit card information to falsely purchase extravagant items and experiences, from flights on private jets to designer dogs. The purchases were facilitated by Antonio Strong from March 2017 through November 2018, with Herb contacting Strong about making the purchases, and Strong making the arrangements. Naturally, cardholders would eventually dispute the charges, with the businesses ultimately taking the losses when they inevitably failed to get Strong to make good.

Although prosecutors admit that Herbo himself wasn’t the one utilizing stolen cards, he had knowledge that Strong was doing so, which made him part of the conspiracy. He originally faced two counts of aggravated identity theft, which would have meant an automatic two-year sentence if convicted; his plea deal ensures that he’ll be able to stay out of prison — and hopefully have the chance to make money with his real job, rapping.

G Herbo Avoids Jail Time

G Herbo

G Herbo has managed to evade serious jail time. The Chicago rapper has been sentenced to a few years of probation.

G Herbo Dodges Jail Time

On Jan. 11, G Herbo pleaded guilty to participating in a scheme that utilized stolen credit card information to fund a luxurious lifestyle, involving private jets and designer puppies. The scheme reportedly enabled him to enjoy a lavish life, including extravagant travels, posting photos and videos of himself on private jets, exotic cars, and a Jamaican villa.

The “Statement”  rapper was sentenced to three years probation after admitting his involvement in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud and making false statements to a federal official. Prior to probation, G Herbo was facing five years in prison.

Racking Penalties

Prosecutors had recommended a year and a day of imprisonment, as well as 36 months of supervised release. However, the court ultimately decided on probation as G Herbo’s penalty.

In addition to probation, he was ordered to pay restitution and forfeiture totaling $139,968 each, along with a $5,500 fine, surpassing a total payment of $280,000.

These penalties are in addition to the $140,000 G Herbo had previously agreed to forfeit, which represents the amount he benefited from the $1.5 million scheme involving others.

Users on Twitter (X) reacted to G Herbo avoiding jail time. One user named @AyoErk commented, “This man’s lawyer is the goat. A regular person with a regular ass lawyer is getting 3-5 years in the pen,” and one other user named @mahdAhunnid commented, “Facts I knew n*gga wasn’t going to jail.”

G Herbo Pleads Guilty To Wire Fraud, Faces 20 Years + Concerns Arise For His Children’s Future

G Herbo, known for hits like “PTSD,” is facing serious legal troubles after pleading guilty to wire fraud in an identity theft case. The Chicago rapper admitted to using stolen credit card information to fund his lavish lifestyle and music career, including purchases of private jets, luxury cars, designer puppies, and extravagant vacations. Facing up to 20 years in federal prison, the rapper’s plea deal has sparked concerns about the future of his three young children, born to different mothers, who may grow up with their father behind bars.

G Herbo Admits To Wire Fraud

Rapper G Herbo, real name Herbert Wright III, has pled guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of lying to federal agents in an identity theft case. The charges stem from his involvement in a wire fraud scheme, where he and five other defendants obtained stolen credit card information from “dark web sites” and other sources.

The group used the stolen funds to finance their luxurious lifestyle and music careers, leading to financial losses for the unknowingly defrauded cardholders.

According to the indictment, G Herbo and his co-defendants “purchased private jet charters, private yacht charters, exotic car rentals, luxury hotel and vacation rental accommodations, private chef and security guard services, designer puppies, limousine and chauffeur services, commercial airline flights, consumer goods, and meals, among other things.”

Indictment Statements

The indictment stated that the defendants used fake IDs, driver’s licenses, and e-mail accounts in the names of aliases and real businesses to defraud people and companies.

“The actual cardholders discovered these transactions on their accounts and disputed the charges, resulting in payment card companies reversing payments and charging back the transactions to the businesses and individuals, who consequently suffered financial losses,” says the United States Attorney’s Office.

The Chicago drill rapper allegedly sent a direct message to Strong over Instagram around July 7, 2019, requesting a reservation for a private villa in Jamaica, according to the indictment. Strong allegedly made the reservation with stolen payment information, and Wright reportedly stayed at the villa with his associates from July 7 to July 11.

The indictment outlined several other alleged fraudulent payments, including renting a Maybach S600 and Bentley CGTC on March 6, 2017.

Potential Consequences & Sentence

The wire fraud conspiracy and substantive wire fraud charges carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, up to five years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. Despite this potential sentence, the rapper’s admission of guilt may lead to a more favorable outcome, including probation.

However, the consequences of his actions extend beyond legal ramifications, raising concerns about the impact on his family, especially his three young children.

What About His Three Kids?

In 2022, G Herbo welcomed his first daughter and shared two sons with different partners; he could face the prospect of his children growing up with their father behind bars if he is sentenced to prison. As the legal proceedings unfold, questions arise about how this potential absence may affect his children’s upbringing and future.

Neither of the two mothers of his children has publicly addressed the situation, leaving many to wonder about the family’s well-being during this challenging time.

An Ominous Comparison To Young Thug’s Case

In response to the plea deal, G Herbo made a statement on his Instagram story, expressing confidence in his defendants and indirectly referencing a 2022 RICO case involving Atlanta rapper Young Thug and Gunna. The reference to “telling on Thug” raises concerns about potential implications in the legal proceedings and how it may impact the case’s outcome.

The Chicago artist also faces gun charges in a separate case after being found with a firearm during a traffic stop on July 9. After failing to use his turning signal, he was pulled over by Chicago police, where the officer ultimately discovered a Glock 33 in the vehicle.

YSL Indicted On RICO Charges

In 2022, the well-known “Check” rapper Young Thug was indicted on federal RICO charges along with more than 80 additional codefendants, including another Atlanta rapper Gunna.  The “Fukumean” sensation was released after his guilty plea, resulting in speculation which accuses him of snitching.

Sexyy Red Is Dropping A Deluxe Edition Of ‘Hood Hottest Princess’ And The Release Date Is Soon

Two weeks ago, Sexyy Red teased a forthcoming deluxe version of her Hood Hottest Princess album, which initially dropped in June. She posted an Instagram video showing the presumed deluxe album cover soundtracked by her rapping, “F*ck my baby dad.” (The St. Louis-bred rapper is pregnant.)

Luckily, we don’t have to wait much longer to get the full Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe). In fact, that is a gross understatement. The album drops in less than 12 hours — at midnight, December 1.

Sexyy Red shared the tracklist on Instagram, which includes the aforementioned “Booty Meat (F My Baby Dad),” “Ghetto Princess” featuring Chief Keef, “Perfect Match” featuring 42 Dugg and G Herbo, “I Might” featuring Summer Walker, and “Hood Rats” featuring Sukihana.

Sexyy Red just wrapped her Hood Hottest Princess Tour, which spanned from October 16 to Wednesday night, November 29, at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California.

Most recently, Sexyy Red released the video for “Free My N***a.” At the beginning, Sexyy Red says to her pregnant belly, “Say ‘Free My Daddy,’” and we hear a manufactured baby’s voice say, “Free dada.” After that, Sexyy Red — in red lingerie — leads a protest to the gates of a prison and visits with her lover inside.

Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe) is out on 12/1 via Open Shift.

G Herbo Sentencing Date Reportedly Moving To Early 2024

Agreeing to a plea deal isn’t easy for any rapper to do, especially after witnessing the ridicule Gunna faced for signing one in his YSL RICO case. However, G Herbo felt it was best for him and his family to follow in the “fukumean” artist’s footsteps with his own wire fraud and identity theft investigation back in the summer. The Chicago rapper and his crew were arrested in December 2020, at which time they were indicted on fourteen charges. Among them were “booking trips, services, and other luxurious purchases while using stolen identities” on numerous occasions.

In addition, Herbo was in police custody in July 2023 due to illegal gun possession, only potentially worsening what lies ahead at his sentencing. Before accepting a plea, he was looking at up to 20 years in prison. Interestingly, the lyricist was in trouble again for lying to federal agents about his fraud case in 2021 after denying his guilt. As 2023 comes to a close, many thought Herb might have answers by now, but according to @ChicagoScene88 until Twitter, he’ll get to spend the holiday season with his children before heading to court in the new year.

G Herbo May Get to Spend Christmas with His Kids

“G Herbo’s (NLMB) sentencing is moving forward to January 11, 2024,” they announced on Sunday (November 19). It’s unclear exactly what caused the delay, though social media users are pointing out that Herbo will be happy to have more time to secure funds to bulk up his commissary money through posting advertisements on his Instagram page. “That boy Herb been getting that commissary money ready, all them damn weed promos,” one person commented on @akademiks’ page.

It’s already been almost six months since G Herbo accepted a plea deal in his wire fraud and identity theft case, but still, the “Chi-raq” collaborator is waiting on the final details of how much time he’ll be serving for his crimes. Read more about the agreement between the embattled rapper and prosecutors at the link below, and leave your estimate as to what his sentence will be in the comments.

Chris Brown Asks Funny Marco Why He Let G Herbo And Southside “Bully” Him

Last month, Funny Marco’s interview with G Herbo and Southside went viral, as many social media users accused the duo of being rude guests. The two artists repeatedly berated the personality, and even ended up breaking his $30K watch. Fans were upset by their behavior, and overall, found the video to be a pretty tough watch.

Recently, he sat down for a far more pleasant chat with Chris Brown, who asked him about the viral interview. According the the Virginia native, he reached out to speak to Marco simply to ask him why he didn’t push back when the duo started to “bully” him. “Why’d you let G Herbo and them do you like that?” he asked. The comedian explained that once the interview started to take a turn for the worst, he felt as though there was nothing he could do to stop it. He adds that while it was all going downhill, all he could think to himself was, “Damn, this is happening.”

Chris Brown Curious About Funny Marco’s Viral Interview

Though Brown didn’t appear to be convinced by Marco’s explanation, he’s previously stated that he didn’t fire back during the interview in order to keep things professional. “I was upset while it was going on,” he revealed once the interview gained some traction. “But I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me, I respect people on my show.”

He continued, noting how he didn’t want to stoop to their level. Luckily, he says that he at least managed to pick up a few things from the experience. “I didn’t want to match they Energy. It’s so many L’s I took on my Journey I wish I could show I don’t hide anything,” Marco explained. “So I feel it was only right to put the episode out myself. G Herbo Gets New Veneers Before Five-Year Prison Sentence

G Herbo will soon have to go to jail to serve his five-year sentence for wire fraud, which is a disheartening development. Still, it looks like he wants to appear fresh and bright behind bars, which is why he treated himself to a little makeover. Moreover, the rapper recently shared a video of him going to a dental office to get new veneers ahead of his prison time. It’s quite the short clip, with him and the doctor in charge of the procedure smiling for the camera right before they got to work. Overall, it seems like it went well for the Chicago MC, and he’ll have new pearly whites for his stay.

Furthermore, it’s still unclear how this prison sentence will affect G Herbo’s life, career, relationships, and more. Of course, all we can realistically speculate on is the music, as he will surely face a lot of private challenges and support in his regular life. When it comes to new music, though, this could make the process of developing this artistry and continuing to engage with and feed fans much more difficult. However, it’s entirely possible and probable that the 28-year-old will still drop material from jail, whether it’s recent recordings or older demos or scrapped cuts.

“New York is hip-hop,” he concluded. “New York is what I fell in love with, New York is the culture of hip-hop. The foundation of hip-hop, of rap music. That s**t bigger than G Herbo. Drill is cool. That’s alright. Bet, G Herbo’s part of drill. I’m a part of history, too though. I’m a part of hip-hop. Southside Blasts Responses to His Funny Marco Interview: ‘Stay From Around Me’

Southside

Southside isn’t here for any of the comments about how he and G Herbo acted during their interview with Funny Marco. Hitting Instagram, Southside had a stern warning, “If you a b—h a– n–ga stay the f–k from around me.”

Many people think all interviews and live recordings are often scripted, especially when things go wrong. However, that was not the case in Funny Marco’s interview with G-Herbo and Southside. In an interview that was discovered to be 100% real and unscripted, Marco was bullied, insulted, and even had his $30,000 watch deliberately broken by Southside and G-Herbo.

Funny Marco took to social media to let everyone know that the incident was not scripted, and he posted it on his socials so that his followers could see what actually happened and also so that he could learn from this humiliating experience.
