During a recent appearance on the My Train Of Thoughts podcast, Jadakiss’ son Jaewon showed off his rapping skills. He spit bars over his dad’s 2001 Kiss tha Game Goodbye track, “Put Ya Hands Up.” Clearly, he’s picked up a few things from his father.

The podcast shared a clip of the 26-year-old’s freestyle on Instagram, getting fans’ attention. Countless commenters note how he appears to have taken after his dad, comparing their flows. Others are demanding that Jaewon drop more music of his own in the near future. “Well the apple don’t fall too far from the tree does it?!” one fan writes. Another says, “You could tell Jada really raised that boy.”

Luckily, based on his Instagram, Jaewon is already in the process of working on some new music. Earlier this week, he shared a photo of himself in the studio. “It’s all coming together… like I said it would. Just how I imagined it,” he captioned the post. While things are good for Jaewon lately, his father looks to be wrapping up his year with some drama. Recently, he put The Nomad on blast for alleged racial profiling. According to him, he was spending some serious cash at the Las Vegas casino when they kicked him out without any explanation.

“Don’t ever gamble at The Nomad ever again!” he told fans. “Last Usher show is tomorrow, I don’t know what happened. I’ve been gambling in here since Wednesday, I’m a tax-paying citizen. I’ve been losing my shirt, socks, everything! They coming to me at the end of the night talking about, ‘I need your…’ I didn’t lose that much, and I didn’t win nothing! Is this racial profiling? Georgia femcee Bktherula has been having a standout year in 2023. The 21-year-old rapper and singer dropped an album and a handful of singles, with presumably her last as of today. She got the year started with her fourth project to date with LVL5 P1. That featured the hit “FOREVER, PT. 2 (JEZEBEL).”

The tape was ten tracks and ran just around 20 minutes. After that, Bktherula put out a fairly unexpected single with NBA YoungBoy. “CRAZY GIRL P2” dropped in late August and featured the off-kilter flows that she is known for. Fabolous Takes Drake’s Challenge To Heart, Spits On “Scary Hours 3” Beat

When Drake challenged other rappers to tackle his Scary Hours 3 tracks by dropping the instrumentals, he probably expected a couple of smaller MCs to step up to the plate, and maybe a titan or two. Well, for that last category, none other than Fabolous came through with a sharp freestyle over one of these beats, and it’s unsurprisingly quite good. It’s nothing wild- after all, it’s only a simple freestyle- but his charisma and ability to deliver with such conviction carries this to a solidly satisfying set of bars. Moreover, the Brooklyn rapper showed off his brand-new Benz truck for his birthday, making it as opulent as Drizzy would want a freestyle over one of his beats to be.

“New truck, but I been driven,” Fabolous raps over the instrumental for “Evil Ways,” a freestyle that he uploaded just a day after Drake dropped the Scary Hours 3 beats. “Pull up and turn your Friendsgiving to a Benzgiving, told my b***h what is givings, what has been given. Even though the 46-year-old’s career peak probably passed a little while ago, don’t let that fool you into thinking he took his foot off the gas. Just recently, Ne-Yo tapped him for the remix of his single “Link Up,” and he dropped plenty of other great verses over the years. Maybe the response to this brief “Evil Ways” freestyle will inspire Fabolous to drop a mixtape and tackle more beats at length. Regardless, if Drake isn’t going to respond to these challenges and give praise, then maybe they should trade some bars instead.

The Game Left With “Chills” After Lil Wayne Freestyles At Fugees Concert

The Game says that he “got chills” after seeing Lil Wayne perform a freestyle during a cameo appearance at the Fugees’ recent concert in Los Angeles. He remarked as such in a comment on Instagram when Rap Marathon shared a video of the performance. In the clip, Wayne raps over the Fugees‘ “Ready Or Not” beat, remixing it with his own lyrics.

The Game wasn’t the only one with a positive reaction to Wayne’s freestyle. Other fans shared plenty of excited responses in the comments section as well. One wrote: “Daaaaamn wtf we need that remix on streaming platforms … Weezy da [goat emoji] no [cap emoji].” Another added: “It’s amazing that we grew up listening to him and he never once fell off, he was confident in his ability so much so, that he ventured into rock. Had a hit, and just kept pushing. Absolute pioneer in the rap game.”

While fans were loving Wayne’s appearance, the overall response to Lauryn Hill’s tour hasn’t been universally positive. Other attendees have complained about the artists’ tardiness to shows. Hill responded to those complaints during the Los Angeles show. “They say, ‘Oh, she’s late’ and ‘She’s late tonight,’” Hill said. “Yo, y’all are lucky I make it to this bloodclot stage every night.”

Meek Mill Drops Bars On Funk Flex Freestyle: Watch

Meek Mill and Rick Ross are red hot after dropping their first collaborative project together, Too Good To Be True. It dropped this past Friday, November 10, and it looks like it is going to bring in around $35,000 in week one. Do you think these sales are shockingly low? He is definitely right about the last statement. There are plenty of nice tracks on the record. There are also some solid guest performances. Some of the more surprising ones come on the “SHAQ & KOBE (Remix)” with Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal. Meek is continuing to ride high, especially after this latest Funk Flex freestyle on HOT97. He and Rick Ross hit up the radio station and Meek laid down some hot bars over a few beats.

Nicki Minaj Delivers A Freestyle Alongside Her Vogue Shoot

Earlier today, Nicki Minaj took to social media to share her new Vogue cover shoot. Alongside the series of gorgeous photos, she also did an interview and a special 73 Questions video. On top of all of that, she sat down to perform a freestyle in the middle of her 73 questions. The clip dropped in tandem with all the rest of the material from her Vogue collaboration earlier today.

She begins the freestyle with a clever double entendre referencing Anna Wintour. But despite the clever bars, fans in the comments are mixed on the quality of her performance. “She’s a pen a paper rapper, which is fine, ain’t nothing wrong with this lil freestyle tho,” one of the top comments reads. Others agree saying things like, “She’s a WRITER, not a freestyler. It’s a play freestyle. Nicki Minaj is gearing up for the release of her new album Pink Friday 2. After multiple delays the project is now expected to arrive on December 8. Just earlier this week she was teasing new material from the album. As a part of the tease she promised fans that they can expect a club banger on the forthcoming album. Jamie Foxx is reportedly thinking about a marriage and more children. According to Radar Online, the Oscar-winning actor is looking to take his relationship a step further with Alyce Huckstepp.

Sources close to the actor state Foxx wants to have his first child with Huckstepp, whom he has dated since 2022. The two are detailed as “smitten,” and the efforts to have a child are “absolutely in the plan!”

In September, Foxx was spotted in Cabo with his girlfriend Huckstepp, enjoying a baecation.

Previously, Jamie Foxx shared another update on his health. Sharing a collection of photos in a white tee, with a knit bucket and holding red crocs, Foxx let fans know -he was in an “unexpected dark journey.”

“You’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally startin to feel like myself… it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light…,” Foxx wrote. “I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… u just don’t know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day…”

MF DOOM & Nas Once Freestyled: New Details Emerge From DOOM’s Former Assistant

MF DOOM is a rap legend in every sense of the word. Often describes as “your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper” he garnered respect and admiration from across the genre’s landscape. It’s been three years since his tragic passing and in all the time since fans of the late rapper have poured out a variety of tributes for him. The most recent came from an editorial posted by his former assistant Courtney Brown in The Source.

In the piece, Brown sheds some light on a long-rumored legendary crossover between DOOM and Nas. “I moved to L.A. to assist him as he worked on DangerDOOM. During that time we spent a lot of time finding inspiration for that album and hanging out with my best friend at the time Kelis and her husband, rapper Nas,” she begins. “One day after a bougie L.A. dinner I convinced them to come back to my hotel room where DOOM put on some beats and Nas began freestyling. This lasted nearly an hour. DOOM had his Special Herbs CD on him and it was a historical moment not captured on camera or recorded.” Check out the full story below.

While MF DOOM and Nas never got to formally collaborate, they did express admiration for each other. DOOM said in a later interview that he always wished they had recorded some of the freestyles the pair did together. He mentioned one Special Herbs beat in particular that Nas crushed in a freestyle but it never made it to release.

Earlier this year questions began to arise about the health care that resulted in DOOM’s untimely death. After his wife expressed concern publicly over the rare reaction he had that ultimately proved fatal, the hospital where he eventually died offered an apology.
