Drake Advocates For Tory Lanez’s Release Again On IG: “3 You”

The messy Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez shooting incident is still a hot topic within the hip-hop community. Fans of the genre are damn near split on who to believe. One artist who has proudly shown his support for the Canadian multi-hyphenate is Drake. Even though the two have either been competing or beefing, Drizzy still has love for the incarcerated artist. Drake’s support for Tory Lanez during this fiasco even dates back to August after the latter’s lengthy Instagram post taking responsibility but not apologizing for “something [he] did not do.”

Now, the advocating continues as Drake is back on the Gram to show what team he is on. According to HipHopNMore, he did so by sharing a black and white photo of Tory with the caption, “3 you.” The hitmaker has not been of Megan Thee Stallion it seems, ever since he sent some subliminal shots on “Circo Loco” from Her Loss. “This b**** lie ’bout getting shots, but she still a stallion / She don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling.”

Outside of the beef that “HISS” escalated between Meg and Nicki Minaj, Drake also caught some strays. “These n****s hate on BBLs and be walkin’ ’round with the same scars (Ah).” However, responded by not responding, acting totally unbothered by it all. This will assuredly get the Hotties upset, so be sure to stick with us for any updates.

Drake Celebrates “One Dance” Becoming His First Song To Reach 3 Billion Streams

Early today we found out that Drake’s 2011 album Take Care was robbed of its diamond certification by the RIAA. Numerous reports said that it reached the certain number of units sold to reach that milestone. However, they corrected that saying roughly eight million copies have been purchased. However, when it comes to Drake, this type of stuff rarely phases him. He is so successful that another achievement is sure to come down the pipeline. That happens to be the case today, as one of his hit songs has hit a tremendous streaming goal. “One Dance” becomes his first record ever to eclipse three billion streams.

According to HipHopDX, Drake got a text from his OVO Sound president Mr. Morgan, who is hilariously labeled “Man Like Morgan” in his phone. He congratulated his biggest name on the label on the achievement. You can check that out below. To celebrate this, Drake tagged Wizkid and the song’s producers Noah “40” Shebib and Nineteen85.

What also makes this so special for the Toronto legend is how elusive this mark is to reach. Only six other songs have had the opportunity to join the three billion club. The Weeknd did it with “Blinding Lights” and “Starboy.” Post Malone and Swae Lee’s Spiderman-prepped “Sunflower,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved,” and Harry Styles’ “As It Was,” accomplished it as well. It sort of goes without saying, but this proves that Drake can really work in any genre and come up with a catchy tune that resonates years later.

What are your thoughts on Drake’s “One Dance” hitting three billion streams? Is this your favorite non-rap song from Drizzy, why or why not? Is this his greatest hit track because of this milestone? What will be his next record to eclipse that number and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. The Air Drake is a massive Boeing 767-200 jet with more than enough space to lounge comfortably while flying. With its sleek design and luxurious amenities, it is more than just a mode of transportation. It is a statement of Drake’s unparalleled success and influence in the music industry. However, contrary to what you might think, and Drake’s riches, the rapper did not buy the jet.

It is estimated to cost a whopping $185 million. While Drake’s estimated net worth is higher, that’s probably not a figure he would have willingly spent at a go. He could afford it, but he thankfully did not have to. Instead, Air Drake was offered as a very expensive gift to the rapper. This happened back in 2019 when the Canadian airline Cargojet made the move to give Drake the B767.

According to Cargojet, this was a publicity move. They believed in Drake’s star power and sought to have him serve as a promotional ambassador. Moreover, they also believed that the jet would eventually pay for itself off the publicity that Drake would bring in. Speaking with Air Cargo News in 2019, Ajay Virmani, the CEO of Cargojet, said, “We are very excited to partner with Drake as our ambassador and assisting him with his logistical needs and requirements.” Also speaking to Air Cargo News, Drake stated, “Supporting homegrown businesses has always been a top priority of mine, so when an opportunity came up to get involved in a great Canadian company, I was honored to do so.”

Renovation Costs

This photograph taken on February 25, 2022, shows the Boeing 767 aiplane dubbed “Air Drake” belonging to Canadian recording-artist Drake, parked on a runway in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. – From a 14-minute flight by Drake’s private plane to Taylor Swift’s carbon footprint, celebrities are struggling to shake off a firestorm over their jet emissions amid the climate crisis. British sustainability marketing firm Yard named and shamed the “worst private jet CO2 emission offenders” among celebrities. While Drake escaped the top 10 list, the Canadian rapper faced heat over a 14-minute flight between Toronto and Hamilton in July, especially after he said that the “Air Drake” plane was empty. Before becoming Air Drake, this B727 used to be a cargo jet. It was reportedly built in September 1996 and was operated for 22 years before being acquired by Cargojet in April 2019. Following its acquisition, some renovations needed to be made before it was gifted to Drake. According to E! News, renovation alone is estimated to have cost up to $100 million. As such, it reportedly costs $3 million to fly on Air Drake, as the rapper recently revealed to Adin Ross.

The Interior Features Of Air Drake

As aforementioned, Air Drake is a large business jet. It is 180 feet long (54 meters), with a 156-foot long wingspan (47 meters), and stands 52 feet high (15 meters). Following the renovations done by Cargojet, it fits the preferences and specifications of Drake.

The interior of Air Drake is a marvel of design, featuring lavish amenities that rival those of five-star hotels. With a seating capacity of up to 30 passengers, the jet is equipped to accommodate Drake and his entourage in comfort and style. Plush leather seats, sumptuous carpeting, and mood lighting set the stage for a truly luxurious traveling experience. In addition, Air Drake features three private suites and two living rooms. There is also a theater room, a business lounge, and an entertainment room. Furthermore, the inside of the cabin features a mix of golden and wooden surfaces, with the furniture colored either beige or brown.

Custom Exterior Design

In addition to its onboard amenities, Air Drake is also a sight to behold from the outside. The exterior was custom-designed by the late, great visionary designer, Virgil Abloh. The exterior of the jet is painted a beautiful baby blue, with white cloud-like designs. Additionally, it features Drake’s iconic owl logo prominently displayed on the tail, making it instantly recognizable on airport tarmacs. Also, the “AIR DRAKE” logo is boldly written on the side of the jet near the wings. Finally, under the belly of Air Drake, the words “IF YOU’RE READING THIS WE LEFT” are written in a large font. It is a clever reference to the rapper’s 2015 mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

Drake’s “Take Care” Not Certified Diamond RIAA Says Contrary To Original Reports

Drake is one of the most successful rappers in hip-hop’s nearly 51 years in existence. The Toronto, Canada icon has racked up hits, numerous great albums, tremendous features, and many sold out tours. One of his magnum opus moments in his storied career has to be the release of his 2011 album Take Care. Even after its 12 years of shelf life, it still sits really high on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. It is currently at the number 30 spot, and it has been on the chart for 572 consecutive weeks. Just last week his third project was at number 23. However, even after all this time, Drake’s Take Care is still not diamond.

According to XXL they had a direct conversation with the RIAA about incorrect reports saying Take Care reaching this coveted milestone. For those who do not know that stands for the Recording Industry Association of America. They handle and track all of the record certifications. Several music accounts on social media originally shared that Drake’s record sold the 10 million copies, the amount needed for diamond status.

Drake Still Has A Ways To Go Before Take Care Reaches Diamond Status

Unfortunately, the RIAA confirmed and corrected the original reports, saying it is sitting at eight million copies sold and is yet to pass that mark. While it may be a tiny bit disappointing, Drake is most likely doing just fine. Eight of his records are still on the charts and his It’s All A Blur – Big As The What? Tour is bringing in big crowds. It might take a couple more years, but Take Care holds a special place in a lot of rap fans’ hearts regardless of its certification status.

What are your thoughts on Drake’s Take Care reconfirmed to be not diamond yet? How much longer do you think it will be before it reaches that mark? Is this album still in your rotation? If so which songs and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section.
