Kim Kardashian Shared A Video For Kanye West’s ‘Come To Life’ Featuring Listening Party Footage

Kim Kardashian showed up to all three of Kanye West’s Donda listening parties, but she played an especially large role in the recent Chicago event, where she took the stage in a wedding dress. Now that Donda is actually out, Kardashian shared a video for “Come To Life,” which features footage of her on-stage wedding dress moment, as well as of West on fire.

This doesn’t seem to be an official video for the song, as it only appears on Kardashian’s page. Rather, it appears to be something she made or had somebody make, to capture a moment of which she’s fond.

She also took to her Instagram Story to share what seem to be some of her favorite Donda moments, which include the title track, “Come To Life,” “Lord I Need You,” “Hurricane,” and “Ok Ok Pt. 2.”

As for Kardashian and West, there have been reports in recent days that the two are apparently working on repairing their relationship. This comes after a June Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion special in which she said of the cause behind their relationship issues, “I honestly don’t think I would even say it here on TV, but it was not one specific thing that happened on either part. I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision.”

Ariana Grande Clarified It’s Not Her Singing Background Vocals On ‘Donda’s Title Track

In the lengthy saga that has been the rollout for Kanye’s latest album, Donda, plenty of artists have been involved — in good ways and bad. While controversial features like Marilyn Manson and DaBaby have been the subject of much discussion, Ariana Grande fans were a little surprised to hear what sounded a lot like her vocals on the album’s title track when it finally dropped today.

But if you listen closely, you’ll hear slight differences that indicate it’s likely not Ari herself. First of all, she rarely AutoTuned and filters her voice to the point the female vocals on “Donda” have been altered — mostly because she simply doesn’t need to. It just hasn’t been her style in the past. And though there’s never been any public beef between Ari and Ye, they’ve never collaborated before or really been in the same realm, musically. Of course, they share a friend in Scooter Braun, but that’s about it.

All this to say, those vocals aren’t Ariana — and she confirmed as much on her Instagram Stories today, praising the actual featured artist, The Stalone, like the class act she is.

“You sound beautiful @thestalone,” Ari wrote, putting the subject to bed once and for all. She’s too busy being a blissful newlywed to work on a Kanye timeline, anyway. Check out the song in question above if you haven’t heard it yet.

Evan Rachel Wood Responded To Kanye Featuring Marilyn Manson On ‘Donda’ With A Cover Song

When the news of allegations about Marilyn Manson’s abusive behavior began to break, it was his longtime partner Evan Rachel Wood who accused the artist of “horrifically” abusing and grooming her, opening the floodgates for more horror stories from women who had been involved with him over the years. Despite the influx of testimonials from women about Manson’s abuse filtering in over the last few months, or who knows, maybe because of them, Kanye chose to feature Manson on the latest version of his ever-evolving Donda project.

Of course, this choice to include Manson despite what survivors of his abuse have come forward with is a slap in the face to those women, and Wood made her position on the matter pretty clear this weekend. Posting a clip of herself covering the New Radical’s still-classic “You Get What You Give,” today she included the following caption along with her cover: “”You get what you give.” For my fellow survivors who got slapped in the face this week. I love you. Don’t give up. @zanecarney @bourbonroomhollywood @ftrlive #newradicals”

Kudos to Wood for both her courage in coming forward, and keeping herself calm in in the face of a pretty blatant, disrespectful move. Further kudos to her for nailing a difficult cover, check that out above.

Soulja Boy Says Kanye West Shouldn’t ‘Hit My Phone No More’ After He Was Left Off ‘Donda’

Kanye West’s newly-released album Donda features a whole lot of names from the music industry: It’s got [deep breath] Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, DaBaby, Marilyn Manson, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, The LOX, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Vory, Baby Keem, Young Thug, and Shenseea. Additional guests on the album include Syleena Johnson, Francis & The Lights, Don Toliver, Tony Williams, Conway The Machine, KayCyy, Westside Gunn, Swizz Beatz, Jay Electronica, Chris Brown, Sunday Service, and Rooga. But there’s one person who’s particularly upset that they were left off the album.

Hours after Donda was released, Soulja Boy took to Twitter to express his frustration with being elided. It began when a fan asked him for his opinion on the finally released albun. The rapper replied, “Idk how to feel, Kanye sent me that song ‘remote control’ and I don’t hear my verse on it… hmm f*ck that n****.” Soulja Boy then posted texts between him and Kanye that show them discussing the song, whose version on the album features an additional verse from Young Thug. In the caption he wrote, “This n**** Kanye smh. Tell homie dont hit my phone no more.” Lastly, Soulja Boy concluded his attack against West by writing, “That n**** Kanye weird af.”

Kanye West Claims That His Label Released ‘Donda’ Without His Approval

Well, things just got a bit interesting.

On Sunday morning, Kanye West’s long-awaited tenth album Donda was released to the world. It came after three listening sessions in the span of one month and several delays that left fans doubtful that the project would ever release.

Lucky for them, that changed today as Donda and its 27 songs are available for a listen on all streaming platforms. According to the rapper himself, however, the project did not arrive in the way he would’ve liked as he shared an Instagram post claiming that his label released the album without his permission.

“Universal put my album out without my approval and they blocked Jail 2 from being on the album,” an image the rapper shared read. In addition to his own label, GOOD Music, West also calls Def Jam Recordings home, a label that Universal Music Group owns.

West’s post seemingly explains why “Jail, Pt. 2,” which features DaBaby and Marilyn Manson, was not on Donda at its initial release around 8 am EST on Sunday morning. The issue was corrected just a few hours later as “Jail, Pt. 2” was added to the album on all streaming services.

Furthermore, West’s message could also mean that Donda was not intended to be released today. The rapper has spent more than a month making changes to the album while holding listening sessions for it in both Atlanta and Chicago. Either way, I’m sure West’s fans are very happy the album was released today after quite the wait.

Pusha T Celebrates The Arrival Of Kanye West’s ‘Donda’: ‘Continue To Do Things Your Way’

Early Sunday morning, Kanye West surprised the world by releasing Donda, his long-awaited tenth studio album. Fans had been waiting for its release since late July, but after so many delays, some of his supporters began to doubt that the album would ever drop. There was even a bizarre theory that suggested West wanted to make Donda the first official unreleased album.

Thankfully that wasn’t the case for Donda as listeners all over the world are enjoying the album and its 27 songs today. One of those people is West’s longtime collaborator and labelmate Pusha T who took to Instagram to celebrate the release of Donda.

“This is about power, money, influence and taste…nothing more, nothing less,” Pusha T wrote under an Instagram post that displayed a screenshot of Donda on Apple Music. “Watching you “joystick the culture” makes us all proud. Continue to do things your way, congrats, and I’m honored to have been a part of the process. #DONDA.”

Donda and its 27 tracks clock in at nearly two hours worth of music, making it quite the long effort for albums nowadays. Throughout the whole album, fans will hear contributions from Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, DaBaby, Marilyn Manson, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, The LOX, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Vory, Shenseea, Syleena Johnson, Francis & The Lights, Baby Keem, Young Thug, Don Toliver, Tony Williams, Conway The Machine, KayCyy, Westside Gunn, Swizz Beatz, Jay Electronica, Chris Brown, Sunday Service, and Rooga.

Fans React To Kanye West Finally Dropping ‘Donda’ After A Lengthy Wait

Last summer, Kanye West announced that his latest body of work would be titled Donda, in honor of his late mother. What the music world didn’t know at the time is that it would be more than a year until the project was actually released.

Earlier Sunday morning, Kanye released Donda after holding three listening sessions for it — two in Atlanta and one in Chicago — in a month’s span. Altogether, the album presents 27 songs with Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, DaBaby, Marilyn Manson, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, The LOX, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Vory, Shenseea, and more.

The arrival of Donda to streaming services was a pleasant surprise for Kanye fans all over the world as the wait for its release has been quite a grueling and tiring experience. In addition to the aforementioned names, Syleena Johnson, Francis & The Lights, Baby Keem, Young Thug, Don Toliver, Tony Williams, Conway The Machine, KayCyy, Westside Gunn, Swizz Beatz, Jay Electronica, Chris Brown, Sunday Service, and Rooga are also featured on the album.

Kanye West Reveals Why DaBaby Was Initially Not On The Official Version Of ‘Donda’

More than a year after the album was first announced, Kanye West finally released Donda to the world on Sunday morning. The project made its way to DSPs three days after West held a listening session for it at Soldier Field in his hometown of Chicago. It was the third event the rapper held to showcase the album, with the previous two occurring at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Donda currently stands at 26 songs with features from a healthy cast of acts that includes Jay-Z, Roddy RIcch, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Fivio Foreign, Lil Yachty, Ariana Grande, Ty Dolla Sign, and many more.

One noticeable name that was initially absent from the album was DaBaby, who appeared beside West during the third listening event for Donda. Hours before the project was released, West shared a pair of text message screenshots to Instagram that explained why DaBaby — who was sent to appear on a part two version of “Jail,” with part one featuring Jay-Z — was not present on the album.

“DaBaby manager isn’t clearing ‘Jail.’ So we won’t be able to Upload unless we take him off,” reads a text message from a contact saved as ‘Bu [dove emoji],” who is presumably West’s manager Abou “Bu” Thiam. West asks why DaBaby’s verse on “Jail Pt. 2” isn’t cleared and Bu says he’s unsure, adding that neither DaBaby nor his manager were answering their phones. West, who seems upset about having to leave DaBaby off the album, says, “I’m not taking my brother off,” adding, “He was the only person who said he would vote for me.”

In the second post, West shows a conversation that seemingly takes place between himself and DaBaby. West appears to inform DaBaby that his verse was not cleared for the album, who says “Hell nall I ain’t know . Ima hit em now.” West suggests that his collaborator’s manger is “trying to destroy you” after they “tried to stop you from coming in” to an unknown location. Despite this, the Donda rapper ensures that “God got a bigger plan,” to which DaBaby replies, “A plan that can’t be stopped!!” Luckily for the respective rappers, it seems like their teams were able to work things out as “Jail Pt. 2” was added to the album with an additional contribution from Marilyn Manson by Sunday afternoon.

Kanye West And The Weeknd Reunite For Their First Track In Five Years On ‘Hurricane’ With Lil Baby

Ladies and gentlemen, at long last, Kanye West’s Donda is here.

The album arrives with 26 songs and a slew of guest appearances, but a highlight from the new project comes on “Hurricane” with The Weeknd and Lil Baby. Six years ago, West and The Weeknd revealed their first collaborations with “Tell Your Friends,” from the singer’s second album Beauty Behind The Madness. The following year, they reconnected once again for “FML,” from the rapper’s 2016 album, The Life Of Pablo.

While The Weeknd provided the hook for his and Kanye’s collaboration, the GOOD Music rapper was solely responsible for the production on “Tell Your Friends.” Both tracks were strong efforts from their respective albums, but since the 2016 track’s arrival, fans had yet to receive another collaboration between the acts. All of that changed on Sunday when Donda finally made its debut.

Kanye and The Weeknd reunited once again on “Hurricane” with Lil Baby from the rapper’s latest album, Donda. Just like “FML,” the song finds The Weeknd on the hook while Lil Baby and Kanye each lay a verse on the bass-heavy track. The new collaboration officially arrives nearly a month after The Weeknd expressed his desire to work with Kanye again during a GQ profile that was released at the beginning of this month.

“I’d love to work with Kanye [West] again,” the singer said, adding, “Especially on production.”

Soon enough, Kanye made a phone call to the singer, which he revealed through a now-deleted screenshot of his call log that he shared to Instagram. It was just a few days after this conversation that West premiered “Hurricane” during the second listening session for Donda in Atlanta.

The track appears on the long-awaited and long-overdue release of Donda. The rapper dropped his tenth album on Sunday morning, just three days after his third listening session for the project, and it comes attached with 26 songs and additional features from Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, The LOX, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Vory, Shenseea, and many more.
