Wack 100 Tells DJ Akademiks To “Stop Speaking About SZA”

Earlier this month, DJ Akademiks sparked a massive controversy with comments he made about SZA. “Let me keep it a bean, SZA is as fat as me,” he said in the beginning of a long rant about the R&B darling. Additionally, it was the most recent in a long series of disrespectful comments he’s made about women in music. Megan Thee Stallion and Erykah Badu have also dealt with his ramblings in recent weeks which both also received quite a bit of fan backlash. Consequently, Wack 100 revealed some advice he gave Ak about who he targets.

“Now, I really think Ak playing a dangerous game because you are attacking a Black woman” Wack 100’s story begins. “Them SZA fans and them Bey Hive fans and them Meg The Stallion fans and all them fans — boy, they get to posse-ing the f*ck up… 40 percent of their fans be people from LGBTQ communities,” he explains. “They get to protesting against Spotify because that’s where his contract is at, saying he’s using the platform to degrade and disrespect Black women. And they start finding them clips where it looks like its some domestic sh*t going on … Ak will f*ck around and find himself in a bad situation.” You can listen to the full clip below.

Wack 100 Warns Akademiks About Coming For SZA

SZA has been in the news recently for a few reasons. Just a few weeks ago she appeared on one of the biggest rap albums of the year, Travis Scott’s UTOPIA. Subsequently, the song she’s featured on “Telekinesis” has spent its first two weeks in the top 30 of the Hot 100.

Over the weekend, Tyler, The Creator announced the line-up for the 2023 edition of his Flog Gnaw music festival and SZA was included. The festival is notorious for Drake once being booed off-stage during a surprise performance because fans were expecting Frank Ocean. What do you think about Wack 100’s message to DJ Akademiks about criticizing black female artists? Let us know in the comment section below.

DJ Akademiks Continues to Attack Erykah Badu: ‘No One Came to Your Defense’

DJ Akademiks 9 22

The war of words between DJ Akademiks and Erykah Badu rages on. This time Ak follows back after Badu made some cash off dissing him.

“I will give you credit, you are a marketing person and took advantage of this and I’ll give you applause,” Ak said. “Not one n—a came to your defense, that’s how I know you’ve been spreading the p—y all over the industry.”

He later added, “I just had to call you a little used up cum rag because if you know, you know, I’m sorry to tell you I’m keeping it a bean.”

Ak closed with, “I ain’t taking back a motherf—in’ thing.”

In case you missed the previous edition of this back and forth, while live streaming on Rumble, a fan asked Badu to “work your magic” due to Ak’s support of Tory Lanez and the non-belief of Megan Thee Stallion throughout Lanez’s trial. That comment sent Ak into an attack on Badu.

“Erykah Badu, let me tell you this: you keep my name out your mouth too,” Ak said. “That little ‘Everyday Struggle’ shit was another era, my n-gga. I’m down to violate all you n-ggas these days. F-ck what y’all got going on. You don’t mention my name. I don’t fuck with you neither.

“I never fucked with Erykah Badu after she was tryna come on my show and be funny. Bitch, I don’t fuck with you after that. N-gga, wassup now? What we finna do? Bitch, you a old-ass hoe, just keep getting fucked by all these young n-ggas.”

He closed with, “How many rappers ran through you?”

Badu made money in her response. Posting an image of her Bady Pussy incense, with Jerry the mouse on the box. Jerry has on a chain that says “Livingston,” Ak’s government name. “In honor of the biggest pussy in our culture, we’re introducing this limited edition premium incense — cause he deserves it!” Badu wrote. All 1,000 boxes instantly sold out.

Badu likened AK to Jerry the mouse from Tom & Jerry during her Everyday Struggle visit.

DJ Akademiks Continues To Diss Erykah Badu: “Not One N***a Came To Your Defense”

DJ Akademiks’ tirade against Erykah Badu continues. Recently, he took to social media to share more thoughts on the performer amid their beef. Earlier this month, the personality went on a pretty heated rant about Badu, calling her “ran through” and accusing her of sleeping around. Apparently, he’s still hurt over a dig from a few years back. Badu compared him to Jerry from Tom and Jerry in 2017, and Ak still isn’t happy about it.

He must have really taken the cartoon mouse comparison to heart, as he went pretty hard on Badu. In a new clip, he goes on to hurl additional insults at the artist, continuing to roast her for her sex life. “Not one n***a came to your defense,” he begins. “That’s how I know you’ve been spreading the p***y all over the industry.” He then went on, complimenting her for the way she managed to use his offensive comments to market her incense. “It wasn’t that serious,” he explains, “I’m sorry to tell you I’m keeping it a bean.”

DJ Akademiks Roasts Erykah Badu For Her Sex Life

“I’m not that hurt,” he also adds. Though DJ Akademiks claims he isn’t still upset by the Jerry comparison, it seems like it might still be weighing heavily on him. He admits that his roast was an attempt to “get back” at Badu for her comments, saying that there’s “no expiration” on comebacks. Amid the back-and-forth, some commenters have been warning Ak not to mess with Badu, as she’s known to have karma on her side. He says he isn’t worried about that, however, claiming to be immune. “Ain’t no b*tches putting a spell on me,” he says. “That sh*t don’t f*cking work, the f*ck you talking about? N***a, I’m a human.”

After Akademiks’ initial roast of Badu, she shared her simple response on social media. She posted a new edition of her “Badu P***y” incense, which references her dig at him. The box of incense features an image of Jerry the mouse wearing a chain with DJ Akademiks’ last name on it, “Livinsgton.” It appears that though Ak is pretty heated about the whole thing, she isn’t taking it to heart.

Elliott Wilson Reveals Why He Apologized To Drake

Elliott Wilson is a legend when it comes to the hip-hop media world. He used to be the editor-in-chief over at XXL, and these days, he hosts the Rap Radar Podcast. Overall, Rap Radar is an incredible outlet that has delivered interviews with some of the biggest artists ever. Wilson has interviewed the biggest legends, including the likes of Jay-Z and Drake. However, Wilson found himself at odds with Drizzy following his interview with Bobbi Althoff.

If you remember, Wilson questioned why Drake was seeking interviews with white interviewers who are outside of the culture. Subsequently, Drizzy responded with some remarks about Wilson’s work at Rolling Loud and how he looked like Yes Julz. Eventually, Wilson decided to apologize to Drake which sparked a bit of criticism. Recently, Wilson went on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast, where he revealed why he opted to apologize. Ultimately, it all has to do with the relationship he cultivated with the artist.

Elliott Wilson Speaks

“People clown people in Hip Hop if they apologize,” Wilson explained. “I apologized to Drake because we have a great rapport. He’s been respectful. He’s given me more interviews than anybody. I’ve had six interviews with him. […] Drake and I built something to the point where I should’ve at least let him know my feelings before I aired it out to the public. I should’ve owed him that respect. I would’ve did it with [Jay-Z], and I owe him that. That’s why I was wrong.”

This is all very interesting when you consider how Althoff is now no longer on good terms with Drake. The two have unfollowed each other and even the interview was taken down. Hopefully, Drizzy has a change of heart soon and decides to do a sitdown with someone like Wilson. There are a lot of things that people want to know from the music side. At this stage in Drake’s career, it would be fascinating to learn more. Let us know what you think of this situation, in the comments section below.

Drake Shoots Down “For All The Dogs” Rumor On Instagram

All summer Drake has been teasing his new album For All The Dogs at various stops on his “It’s All A Blur” tour. He’s repeatedly promised that the album is “coming soon” though those promises have never materialized into any new music or a confirmed release date. Over the weekend a poster seeming to promote the album popped up in Toronto. It got enough attention that DJ Akademiks posted a picture of the poster to his Instagram seeming to assert its authenticity.

Shortly after that post was made though, Drake himself slid into the comments to confirm that it isn’t the case. “Lol who did this,” reads the top comment on the post from his champagnepapi account. Quickly the entire comment section began to focus more on his comment than the poster itself. “I know AK giggling with joy Drake commented on his post,” reads one comment. “This don’t even look like a Drake album cover, sh*t trash” says another. While the rapper didn’t specifically confirm that the post is fake that’s how many fans interpreted his comment.

Drake Clarifies “For All The Dogs Poster”

Releasing new music could help get Drake out of some hot water he’s been in recently. The rapper’s support for Tory Lanez amid his trial for shooting Megan Thee Stallion has divided fans. Last night he was caught liking a post in support of Tory despite Lanez apologizing and taking accountability for the case after the sentencing was handed down.

Earlier this week Drake received yet another major chart milestone in his career packed with spectacular numbers. His album Certified Lover Boy achieved its 100th week on the Billboard 200. Drake has an impressive history on the chart with his past 7 studio album all hitting number one on the chart. Last year he also released a collaborative album with 21 Savage that also debuted at number 1. There’s no reason to think that For All The Dogs wouldn’t follow in line. What do you think of the fake “For All The Dogs” poster being exposed? Let us know in the comment section below.

Erykah Badu Subtly Destroyed DJ Akademiks After He Lashed Out At Her Over A Six-Year-Old Meme

It’s a bad week for DJ Akademiks (who, it must always be stated, is not a DJ). Not only was his good buddy Tory Lanez sentenced to 10 years in prison — after Ak did a fair amount of shilling for him over the past two years — but Ak walked himself into the roast of the century after lashing out at Erykah Badu over a six-year-old meme.

While reacting to the news of Lanez’s sentencing, Akademiks went off on Badu after a commenter evoked the soul singer during his livestream. “Erykah Badu, let me tell you this: you keep my name out your mouth too,” he said. “Listen, that little Everyday Struggle sh*t, that was another era, my n****. I’m down to violate all you n****s these days. F*ck what y’all got going on. You don’t mention my name, please. I don’t f*ck with you neither. I never f*cked with Erykah Badu after she was tryna come on my show and be funny. Bitch, I don’t f*ck with you after that… Bitch, you a old-ass hoe, just keep getting f*cked by all these young n****s.”

Wild levels of misogyny aside, Akademiks is clearly still salty about the time in 2017 when Erykah Badu appeared as a guest on Everyday Struggle, the Complex music talk show hosted by Akademiks and Joe Budden and moderated by Nadeska Alexis. During that interview, Badu joked that Akademiks resembled Jerry Mouse, from the classic cartoon Tom & Jerry, launching hundreds of memes on social media he’s never been able to live down. (It’s also telling that he went off on Badu, a woman, when he was also pressed by plenty of male performers in his time on the show, from Migos to Vic Mensa… Hmmmm.)

It seems he might have picked exactly the wrong fight, though, because Ms. Badu is a down-home Dallas girl behind all the mystical trappings and she can play the dozens as well as anyone. In this case, she didn’t even have to say a word. Yesterday, she posted a new edition of her much-touted Badu Pussy incense called “Biggest Pussy Energy.” The box features a pic of Jerry Mouse, wearing a chain reading “Livingston” — Akademiks’ real name. Ouch. Even worse, Badu reported back a couple of hours later that all 1,000 boxes had sold out. Yike.

Maybe Livingston should take the rest of the year off, because he’s accumulated Ls at a terrifying rate, turning LL Cool J, Freddie Gibbs, Russ, and even Diddy against himself. When even Diddy has had enough of you, it’s time to chill.

Erykah Badu Responds To DJ Akademiks’ Diss In The Most Funny & Disrespectful Way

Recently, Erykah Badu had a nasty and checkmate-like response to DJ Akademiks’ rant about her. Moreover, the media personality and podcaster had sent a lot of shots at the neo-soul legend, years after she compared him to Jerry, the titular mouse of Tom and Jerry fame. With that history in mind, they both came through with a lot of disdain and jokes about each other. That being said, Ak was certainly more angry and indignant about the whole thing, whereas Badu just clapped back in simple but effective fashion. It’s one of the oddest beefs you’ll see all week, but also one of the funniest and most unique responses.

“Erykah Badu, let me tell you this: you keep my name out your mouth too,” DJ Akademiks said on stream. “Listen, that little Everyday Struggle s**t, that was another era, my n***a. I’m down to violate all you n***as these days. F**k what y’all got going on. You don’t mention my name, please. I don’t f**k with you neither. I never f***ed with Erykah Badu after she was tryna come on my show and be funny. B***h, I don’t f**k with you after that. N***a, wassup now? What we finna do? B***h, you a old-a** h*e, just keep getting f***ed by all these young n***as. How many rappers done ran through you?” he asked in relation to her previous relationships.

Erykah Badu Sells Out Incense Mocking DJ Akademiks

Furthermore, Akademiks was reacting to the news of Tory Lanez’s sentencing, and an Instagram user trolled him by asking Erykah Badu to “work her magic” against him. That’s exactly what she did in response on Wednesday (August 9), putting up another edition of her “Badu P***y” incense with Jerry the mouse on the box cover wearing a gold chain that says “Livinsgton” (Ak’s last name). “Badu Pussy Just went live ! Limited supply. http://baduworldmarket.com,” the 52-year-old captioned her post. “In honor of the biggest pussy in our culture, we’re introducing this limited edition premium incense — cause he deserves it!” the product description on the website states.

In fact, she sold out all incense boxes in just a few hours. “Y’all quick !!!” Badu expressed in another post. “Lol SOLD OUT 1000 boxes.” Previously, she addressed Ak’s rage in an Instagram video. “I learned something super valuable today. You have to really be careful what you think and what you say out here. I learned today that something I said five years ago in jest, when we all laughed, actually triggered someone’s really deep-rooted trauma. They kept it bottled up for a while and it hurt them so bad. Had them out in these streets acting real p***y.” For more news and the latest spicy updates on Erykah Badu and DJ Akademiks, stick around on HNHH.

DJ Akademiks Tells Megan Thee Stallion To “Bring The Lawsuit”

DJ Akademiks has long been a supporter of Tory Lanez which must have made his sentencing yesterday sting a bit. After a long-lasting trial over a shooting that took place years ago, Lanez’ fate is finally clear. The rapper will spend 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot in July of 2020. After being found guilty in December of 2022 he was officially sentenced to 10 years behind bars yesterday. In the fallout of the case one of Lanez’ lawyers specifically pointed out that Lanez had been leaking court documents and medical information to Akademiks.

It was long suspected that DJ Akademiks had been receiving material from Lanez and his response to it came off a bit unhinged. When a fan in his comment section suggests he should be arrested, Ak loses it. In the following rant, he references a long-lasting beef he’s had with Megan Thee Stallion after being mentioned on her Instagram story. Megan accused him of being a “blog on payroll” and of purposefully spreading misinformation. Now in this new rant Akademiks has a simple message for everyone criticizing him, “bring the lawsuit.”

DJ Akademiks Asks To Be Sued

Fans in the comments of a repost of Akademiks’ video clearly sided with Megan more. “This level of rage towards a woman who you don’t even know is wild!” reads one of the top comments. “He don’t need a lawsuit. He need that chair from Alabama,” another comment jokes. Elsewhere in the comments fans speculate on why Akademiks seems to start beef with almost any woman he can. “I’m convinced he hates all women,” reads one suggestion. “He must have Mommy issues, bc he always have so much aggression towards women,” says another.

Following the announcement of the sentencing yesterday, Tory Lanez offered Megan Thee Stallion an apology. He claimed to still see Megan as a friend and explained why they connected to each other in the first place. What do you think of DJ Akademiks newest livestreamed rant? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Yachty Corrects DJ Akademiks Over Genre Change

Earlier this year Lil Yachty made one of the most interesting surprises in hip-hop this year by transcending the genre entirely. He surprised fans by dropping an entire rock album. Not just a regular rock album but one inspired by classic and psychedelic rock. While he’s commented plenty about what inspired him to make that shift, not everyone made the right connections. Recently DJ Akademics claimed that Playboi Carti was one of the inspirations for Lil Yachty to change his sound. That wouldn’t be completely unexpected as Carti reinvented his own sound in 2020 with styles of rage and vamp music. But once the clip was posted to Twitter Yachty felt the need to correct him.

Lil Yachty apparently did tell DJ Akademiks that another artist inspired his change in sound, just not Carti. In a tweet responding to the original video Yachty clarified. “@Akademiks u r so insane, I didn’t tell u this at all. Stop drinking bro. I said Tyler encouraged me to take that route. Wtf,” his tweet read. It wasn’t the only rumor he had to clear up in Twitter recently. After some reported that Yachty claimed Playboi Carti and NBA Youngboy had an album coming soon that would be “the collab of the year.” Yachty shut down the rumor with a simple tweet. “I didn’t say this.”

Lil Yachty Corrects The Narrative

Lil Yachty recently grabbed fans’ attention in Poland, unsurprisingly. He played his viral smash hit “Poland” six times during the show. The crowd was with him all the way taking the unique opportunity to celebrate the song in perhaps the perfect place.

Lil Yachty made his surprising shift into rock music when he dropped Let’s Start Here, back in January. He followed it up a few months later in April with the new single “Strike.” The song has also gone on to become a bit of a hit adding to Yachty’s already strong year. What do you think of Lil Yachty correcting DJ Akademik’s story? Let us know in the comment section below.
