Ab-Soul Denies Dissing Kid Cudi On “Herbert”

We’re officially only 24 hours away from receiving a new album from Ab-Soul. It has been six years since the Carson, Calif. rapper blessed fans with an album, so the anticipated arrival of Herbert has Hip Hop on the edge of its seat. The reclusive emcee has emerged with a press run to promote the project, and while speaking with the Rap Radar Podcast, Ab cleared up rumors about allegedly taking a verbal jab at Kid Cudi.

“It sounded like you were talking to a specific rapper,” said Brian “B.Dot” Miller. “It sounded like you were talking about Kid Cudi. You mentioned a name, and you said a lot of things in there.”

Ab-Soul seemed a tad confused and denied referencing Cudi. On a track, Ab mentions “cudi,” clarifying that it’s a street term.

“You think I would diss Kid Cudi? The great Kid Cudi? On a song called ‘Church on the Move’?” the rapper asked. “Peace be unto you. Come on, B.Dot. And y’all trust this guy with the lists?”

“No, look. Listen. ‘Cudi’ is a term that we use. It’s kinda on some Crip sh*t, you know what I’m saying?”

We’ve received a flurry of singles from Herbert recently, and Ab-Soul’s stellar look on L.A. Leakers only emphasized the hype surrounding the record. Herbert hosts looks from Jhené Aiko, Joey Bada$$, Punch, and more. There were hints that Jay-Z could be making an appearance, as well, but we’ll have to wait to hear if that materializes.

Ye & Wack 100 Diss Meek Mill On Clubhouse: “I’m Literally In Tears”

Ye has once again gotten the boot from various social media platforms. However, the 45-year-old isn’t letting that stop him from making sure the world hears his thoughts. Most recently, he joined Wack 100 over on Clubhouse, at which time the two industry heads shared a laugh about Meek Mill.

In an audio snippet shared to @theneighborhoodtalk on Instagram, the Graduation rapper can be heard talking about the backlash he received in response to his White Lives Matter t-shirts earlier this year.

“Oh, you know what, let’s go get celebrities,” Kanye West recalled of what the world’s reaction to his antics felt like. “Let’s go get Puff Daddy, let’s get Dave Chappelle, let’s go get Meek Mill… What made somebody think Meek Mill could say something to me?!” he exclaimed before cracking up.

The rapper could barely get a word out without giggling. “Yo, man, I’m about to start crying laughing,” he tells Wack and their listeners. “Somebody thought Meek Mill… Yo, I’m literally in tears.”

“This a world tour or your girl tour, right?” another voice chimed in with the famous Drake lyrics previously aimed at the “Uptown Vibes” hitmaker. At the same time, the Yeezy founder maniacally laughs at the thought of his fellow artist checking him. The majority of the audio is unintelligible due to West’s snickering.

Meek and Ye have been publicly trading shots for some time now. At the end of November, the former made claims that the latter “sold his soul” on his “God Did” freestyle.

“Make a hundred million dollars and still go get my friends after / And that don’t go for everybody, just the only ones that been back for me,” he rhymes on the song. “I will never sell my soul for money, like I’m Kanye / It’s crazy I used to bring you on my cell house on lock day.”

At this time, Meek Mill hasn’t responded to Kanye West and Wack 100’s comments. Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on the rapper’s ongoing beef.

6ix9ine Says He Was Drunk When He Dissed Brittney Griner But Still Stands On It

Blame it on the alcohol.

Just a few days ago, New York rapper 6ix9ine failed to heed previous warning and went through with his trip to Russia, where he performed in front of an adoring crowd – not before taking a moment to diss currently captive WNBA athlete Brittney Griner for the cameras, though.

“F*ck Brittney Griner,” the “GOOBA” artist said in a video shared earlier this weekend, leaning in close to whisper the hateful comment, which he giggled at immediately after delivering.

Those aren’t the only antics 6ix9ine got wrapped up in during his trip overseas. In one video, he can be seen standing shirtless on stage, a bottle of what looks to be vodka in his hands. While speaking to the crowd, he tells them that if anything unfortunate were to happen to him, he would rather be buried in Russia than sent back to America.

Cameras also caught the recording artist leaving the venue, showing love to patrons waiting outside as he walked out – many of whom were clearly star-struck over seeing Tekashi up close and in person.

As for the trash talk, 6ix9ine aimed at Griner earlier, he’s since addressed it and claimed that he was under the influence at the time, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still stand by what he said.

“I’m not gonna lie I was drunk,” the 26-year-old shared on Instagram. “But I stand on that. I’m in Russia while y’all are scared to come here. Argue with yourself, [suck my d*ck], I’m like that.”

He then reminded readers, “Just remember I’m still alive while your favourite rapper is dead. I’ll be mad too.”
