Diddy Spotted In Miami With The City Girls

We might be getting a collab between Diddy and City Girls real soon. Footage has emerged online of Yung Miami and JT dancing in a Miami nightclub while Diddy makes it rain on the pair. Furthermore, the footage confirms that more progress is being made on the upcoming City Girls album.

It’s been a long wait for City Girls. The pair have not released an album since 2020’s City On Lock, which peaked at #29 on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, their last singles came in 2022. “Top Notch ft. Fivio Foreign” did not chart, while “Good Love ft. Usher” peaked at #70. Meanwhile, Diddy released his first music in five years in 2022. “Gotta Move On ft. Bryson Tiller” peaked at #79 while “Sex In the Porsche ft. PartyNextDoor” did not chart.

New Music Video On The Way?

Yung Miami said last month that a new City Girls album will likely drop this summer. However, the reported music video featuring Diddy is also worth examining. Diddy and Yung Miami split in April. The couple had made headlines after Yung Miami made reference to having received a “golden shower”. This led people to get “#PeeDiddy” trending on Twitter. However, it appears the former couple is on good terms if Diddy, as Yung Miami said. “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single. That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were fucking with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”

During her interview with The Cut, Yung Miami played coy about the release date for the new album. However, she did say that it would “hit different” from the duo’s previous releases. This has fans speculating that an album could coincide with City Girls’ scheduled appearance at Rolling Loud in July. Are you excited about new music from City Girls? How do you feel about Diddy being involved? Let us know all your thoughts down in the comments.

Diddy Now Says He And Yung Miami Are ‘Dating’ Despite Her Saying They’re ‘Single’ Just Weeks Before

You’d be forgiven for being over Diddy and Yung Miami’s back-and-forth over whether they’re actually in a relationship or not. After all, the couple has played coy over the past year, with Diddy announcing a new baby, then going Instagram official after New York’s Eve; meanwhile, Miami just recently told The Cut that Diddy is “not my man.” Then, two weeks later, they showed up on the carpet together at the 2023 Met Gala, where Diddy told reporters that the two are “dating.”

In a video posted to Instagram by Vogue, Diddy appears to finally admit to the couple’s actual status. “Caresha [and I], we’re dating and we’re just enjoying ourselves,” he said. “This is what comes with dating me. Sometimes, we gotta hit that red carpet.”

So, there it is: Diddy and Yung Miami are “dating” again, but also “single” and “good friends.” I’ll let you figure out whatever the hell that means.

As confusing as the couple’s situation has been, it doesn’t appear that fans will ever get enough of watching them like hawks — and commenting on each new tidbit that gets revealed, from Diddy’s unexpected new baby to Miami’s admission that she likes golden showers. While the latter reveal sparked a “Pee Diddy” meme, Miami shut down those rumors herself later — but given all Diddy’s sex advice for James Corden during his appearance on Carpool Karaoke, it’s clear that he and Miami entertain each other as much as they do their overeager fans.

Tyrin Turner Claims He Confronted Diddy At Jamie Foxx’s House

Diddy and Tyrin Turner both had their spotlights in the 90s. Diddy was the hop hop mogul helping define the genre in the decade alongside the likes of Suge Knight. Meanwhile, Tyrin Turner found success with roles in films like Menace II Society and Belly. Despite this, it’s safe to say that Diddy has had a more successful and consistent career.

However, according to a new interview with Turner, it turns out that the two of them might have had a not-so-positive interaction. Diddy was famous for his 90s beefs, primarily the one stemming from his fall out with Suge Knight. According to the actor, he confronted the rapper and businessman at none other than the house of Jamie Foxx.

Turner Opens Up About Diddy Confrontation

Speaking on the Art Of Dialogue show, Turner spoke about defending Jamie Foxx from Diddy’s wrath. “It was a total misunderstanding,” he explained. “I think Puff almost fell and tripped — you know, we was at Jamie [Foxx]’s house. I think he kind of tripped or something. And brother, you know, he kind of laughed. And I guess it wasn’t funny to Puff. You know what I mean?” Turner said. “So Puff kinda put, you know, like — ‘Hey, come here.’ What’s funny, or whatever. And I see it from my peripheral. And I’m like, that’s my brother. Puffy don’t know my brother. This is weird. That ain’t — this don’t look cool. So I’m like — I pushed my brother out the way, and I’m like, hold on.” Turner continued.

So Turner, a long-time friend of Foxx’s, confronted Diddy about it. “And I asked Puff, ‘you know him?’ And Puff is like, ‘Nah, playboy,’ and I’m like, ‘Aye, n-gga, that’s my brother. I’ll touch everything in here for my brother. Period.’ So me and Puff, we end up having a conversation, as men, we shook hands and everything was great.” According to Turner, the confrontation did not go any further than an exchanging of words, with the pair able to squash their temporary beef. While the story is nothing more than a tense interaction many years ago, it’s an interesting story behind two 90s heavyweights.

Diddy And Doja Cat Host Met Gala Afterparty

Diddy and Doja Cat capped their night at the Met Gala with a big party. The pair hosted a glamorous afterparty for the event at The Box nightclub in New York City. The event was attended by a plethora of celebrities, including Cardi B, Paris Hilton, Emily Ratajkowski, Teyana Taylor, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, and Bad Bunny. The hosts pulled out all the stops. Nearly-nude women danced on a platform for guests. Another woman flew back and forth on a swing hanging between the ceiling’s chandeliers. It was a party for the books.

The stars in attendance were all dressed to the nines, as well. Doja Cat looked stunning in a 1920s-inspired outfit. The singer no longer had her cat face prosthetic on, but her afterparty outfit did feature cat ears. No word on whether or not she continued to vape. Emily Ratajkowski wore a stunning backless sequined dress. Diddy donned a shimmering black silk top that exposed his chest. Jared Leto, who wore a cat mask at the Met Gala, carried the mask at the afterparty and mingled with other guests.

Diddy and Yung Miami treated the Met Gala as a “date night.” Recently, Miami told The Cut that the two had broken up. “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends!” she said in the interview. “But we’re single. That’s not my man. We had our own situation. I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were f*cking with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him.” However, it looks like they may not be as broken up as they thought. The two spoke on their relationship status while on the carpet for the event.

“We definitely go together real bad!” Diddy said of their relationship. “She’s my date for the night. … We don’t put titles on it. Everybody wants us to put a title on it, we don’t put titles. This like my best friend in the world, one of the most beautiful people God has blessed me with. And I’m blessed that she’s my date tonight.” Yung Miami chimed in to agree with Diddy, simply saying that it was indeed a good date night. What do you think of Diddy’s afterparty? 7 Rappers Who Have Received Honorary Degrees

Various universities and colleges have recognized rappers for their contributions to music and culture, as well as their activism, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship. Each has significantly impacted hip-hop, paving the way for future generations of artists. Cultural influencers like Diddy, KRS-One, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott, and Queen Latifah would go on to be recognized by higher education officials.

An honorary degree is also a significant achievement recognizing their dedication and contributions to society. It also inspires young people interested in pursuing a music or art career, showing them that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. While this list is not exhaustive, we’ve pulled together seven names in hip-hop who have been bestowed with honorary degrees. The acknowledgment speaks to just how powerful music’s movement can be and how many doors it can open.

Diddy: Howard University

Sean “Diddy” Combs received an honorary doctorate from Howard University in 2014 for his ongoing contributions to entertainment. The media mogul has also employed thousands through various companies and branding, but his philanthropic work stole attention. The New York native is known to give back to the communities that helped raise him. Those efforts did not go unrecognized.

Further, Diddy has strongly advocated education, establishing a scholarship fund to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds who aspire to attend college. In 2016, Diddy announced that he would donate $1 million to Howard University, his alma mater, to establish the Sean Combs Scholarship Fund. The donation is reportedly the largest in the university’s history. It has helped to provide greater access to higher education for students from underprivileged communities.

LL Cool J, a hip-hop pioneer, received an honorary degree from Harvard University in 2018. He started his career in the 1980s and later branched out into acting and entrepreneurship. His trophy room may be pouring over with awards, including several Grammys, but his social justice and philanthropy efforts are what warmed hearts. He is a strong supporter of the American Cancer Society, especially as his wife endured her battle with breast cancer. LL Cool J has also worked to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection. Additionally, the rap icon has been involved in various initiatives to promote education and fight poverty in disadvantaged communities.

Kendrick Lamar is considered a leading voice in contemporary hip-hop spaces. The Los Angeles native shines a light on the lives of the marginalized and disadvantaged, even earning himself a Pulitzer. His innovative production, fusion of genres, socially conscious lyrics, and unique style set him apart from his contemporaries. It’s no wonder that in 2018, the University of Hartford in Connecticut awarded him an honorary degree.

In addition to his music, Lamar has been involved in various social justice initiatives. He has used his platform to raise awareness about police brutality, systemic racism, and inequality. His music has also been celebrated for its ability to address these issues meaningfully and powerfully. He’s hailed as a role model for young people passionate about social justice.

Missy Elliott: Berklee College Of Music

Missy Elliott is arguably one of the most beloved talents in the industry. She received an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2019, and it didn’t come as a surprise. Missy has a longstanding influence in entertainment. When she isn’t topping the charts, she’s helping a new generation of creatives find their footing. She’s been hailed as a GOAT in music, but her socially conscious efforts haven’t gone unnoticed.

Queen Latifah: Rutgers University

From the onset of her career, Queen Latifah has dominated. Her music videos stunned young girls around the globe as the rapper was a commanding force, often surrounded by street bikes and crew primarily made of men. She is a hip-hop pioneer unlike any other, demanding that the world refers to her as “queen.” Outside of winning Grammys and storming hip hop, Dana Owens developed a lucrative acting career that has continued until now.

Queen Latifah has always used her platform to advocate for the disadvantaged, especially about issues involving Black women. She has also been involved with the Lancelot H. Owens Scholarship Foundation, which provides financial assistance to students who want to pursue higher education.

His work on the fronts of activism, education, and sharing the lesser-taught facts of Black history has made him an admirable figure. He has been involved in various initiatives to promote equality and fight systemic racism, including the Black Lives Matter movement.

He has gone from being perceived as a rapper with a chip on his shoulder to an actor who has starred in family-friendly films. Additionally, Cube has long spoken out about the plight of his community. This was made evident in his fight against systemic racism with his proposed Contract with Black America initiative.

Diddy and City Girls’ Yung Miami stunned arriving at the 2023 Met Gala together. When walking the stairs of the stories museum, the duo was asked the question we all were thinking by La La Anthony: “Do y’all officially go together real bad?”

After sidestepping the question, Diddy circled back with an answer. “We definitely go together real bad,” Diddy said.

He added, “She’s my date for the night. We don’t put titles on it. Everybody wants us to put a title on it, we don’t put titles. This like my best friend in the world, one of the most beautiful people God has blessed me with. And I’m blessed that she’s my date tonight.”

Just last week, Yung Miami provided insight on her romance with Diddy. The City Girls rapper is the subject of a new feature in The Cut, where she details the conclusion of her romance with the Bad Boy mogul. Speaking on the relationship, she says, “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single.”

Going in deeper, Miami said, “That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were f–king with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.”

Diddy’s 2023 Met Gala Look Was His Clothing Brand Sean John’s Formal Debut At The Revered Fashion Event

Diddy might’ve had a lot of sex advice for James Corden on Carpool Karaoke. But do you know what else the entertainer has a lot of? Businesses. During his recent surprise appearance at the music festival, Something In The Water, he presented his vodka company, Ciroc. On Monday, May 1, the producer used his appearance at the 2023 Met Gala to promote his clothing brand, Sean John.

While being interviewed by his longtime friend, actress Lala, Diddy was asked to detail his look for the evening. “This is Sean John’s [Met Gala] debut, as you can see. First time I designed in 10 years, and we’re feeling good,” he said.

Diddy also told Lala that the look was designed along with his longtime collaborator and respected stylist and designer, June Ambrose.

Back in 2016, Diddy sold a majority stake in the company to Global Brands Group Holding Ltd. However, in July 2021, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, resulting in the brand and its other assets being auctioned.

Now, according to Forbes, Diddy recently won his bid to regain a majority stake. During the earlier 2000s, the brand gained mainstream popularity and was prominently placed throughout several of his music videos. Diddy was also photographed wearing the line at many hip-hop events.
