Gillie Da Kid reflected on the worst part of losing his son during a candid interview with former NFL players Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor, and Ryan Clark on The Pivot Podcast. In doing so, he detailed what it was like washing his body.

“The worst time had to be when I had to wash his body. That was the worst, but it was also the best because I became a man that day,” he said as he began to cry. “I thought I was a f**king man, but I wasn’t… I thought I was a man because I did man s**t. I paid bills. I took care of my family. I took care of my sisters. I took care of my dad, my mom, and kids that’s not even my kids because they lost their dad.”

He continued: “When I washed my son’s body, it was a gift and a curse. It was a good thing and a bad thing because it was a very painful thing to see your son laying there cold and stiff, but I know I sent him off right.” Later, Gillie revealed that Freeway was by his side through the process and gave a shoutout to the Philadelphia rapper. “I want to thank Freeway from the bottom of my heart. You were there every step of the way with me, brother,” he said. “Washing my son’s body, the hardest s**t I ever had to do in my f**king life. I will always love you and respect you, brother, for life.”

PnB Rock’s girlfriend, Steph Sibounheuang, says that she’s been battling the “deepest depression” while coming to terms with the one-year anniversary of the rapper’s passing. She reflected on the incident and how she’s dealt with losing her partner in a lengthy post on Instagram, Tuesday. She added several photos of the two of them together from over the years.

“I’ve been in the deepest depression for a lil min contemplating todays date, which makes a year since your transition,” she wrote. “I argued with God about openly reliving this day and i absolutely did not want to, so this is an act of obedience. This same day last year, you could look into my eyes and and tell my soul was not in my body. All I could hear were the gunshots over and over and they were so LOUD I couldn’t hear myself think. I was so terrified and heartbroken.”

As per Loop Barbados News, the “Diamonds” singer’s cousin, Tanella Alleyne, died suddenly in her home country last month. It’s an especially tough loss for the Fenty clan, seeing as the 28-year-old’s brother, Tavon, was fatally shot just six years before, which still weighs heavily on their hearts. The outlet notes that Tanella’s funeral took place on Monday (August 28) at St. George Parish Church.

It’s unclear whether Rihanna was able to attend so soon after giving birth. We can confirm her beautiful ballad “Lift Me Up” was played at her cousin’s celebration of life. A member of the family, Miguel Fenty, sent a message out on Twitter afterward reflecting on recent events. “What a beautiful funeral service Tanella [had], like it’s still surreal to me,” he wrote. “Seeing her in that casket really hit me and I cried not too long ago.”

Though the circumstances surrounding his alleged death remain unclear, chatter online suggests that he was shot, and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The up-and-coming rapper is said to have died in his hometown of Chicago. The tragic news comes as a major disappointment to fans, who have given their condolences across social media.

Tray Tray previously worked alongside notable artists like Young Thug, Tory Lanez, Doe Boy, and more. Countless social media users are weighing in on his passing, noting that he was likely yet another victim of gang violence. The suit concerned Future’s 2018 Beast Mode 2 track “WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT.” The man, Daquan Robinson, claimed that he had ripped off his own song, “When U Think About It.” In the lawsuit, the man noted thematic similarities between the two songs, like money, guns, and jewelry. Memphis Police Name Prime Suspect In Blac Youngsta’s Brother’s Death

Blac Youngsta and his family recently suffered a tragic loss, that of his brother Tomanuel Benson. Moreover, a shooting at a Memphis gas station in the early hours of Friday, August 18 took his life, and officials soon confirmed his identity. Shortly after, they also issued a call for help in identifying the shooter in question, who they suspected drove off in a vehicle after the crime. To do so, they shared an image from security footage that depicts who they believed was the man responsible. Now, according to Fox News in Memphis, they expressed their belief that they found the prime suspect, and are now searching for him.

Furthermore, the Memphis Police Department reportedly named Randy Ewing as the lead person of interest in this crime. In addition, they also released another image of the individual, which seems to match up at first glance with the earlier image that they released. That was a controversial decision in many’s eyes, since it could ruin the person’s life if they were actually innocent in this scenario. While it’s still not confirmed that Ewing is the man responsible for this tragedy, authorities still brought forth charges of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

After news broke of Benson’s death, Blac Youngsta took to Instagram to share a pained and unfortunately vengeful tribute to his brother. “I Love U Baby Brother Rest Up,” the 33-year-old wrote on as an IG Story post. “I’m Gone Make The World Pay. Meanwhile, this is still a developing case and an open investigation, so this is no surefire assurance of Ewing’s guilt. The wrestler, born Windham Rotunda, died unexpectedly according to Triple H. He was 36-years-old, and his cause of death has not yet been revealed. Moreover, the Three 6 Mafia hype man claimed that her brother E Gutta (real name Eric Mitchell) is responsible for her death. Mitchell also overdosed the night that the Memphis MC passed away and was with her, but recovered in the hospital. Still, Black cited an Instagram comment from someone who allegedly went to jail with Mitchell and made several posts alleging this conspiracy. Despite people telling him to stop clout-chasing, the 48-year-old maintained that this was true and refused to back down.

Two-time Emmy Winner Ron Cephas Jones Dies At 66

Actor Ron Cephas Jones has passed away from a “long-standing pulmonary issue” at the age of 66. Jones studied theatre at Ramapo College in New Jersey before moving to Los Angeles. There, he became a transit worker, driving a bus for four years. He returned to the East Coast in the mid-1980s and began spending time in the familiar artist’s haunt of the East Village. After honing his craft with stage work and on Broadway, Jones transitioned to television and film. Additionally, his breakout role was in 1998’s He Got Game.

However, his best-known roles have come in more recent years. After a small role in Mr. Robot, Cephas Jones played chess master Bobby Fish in Luke Cage. He would also appear in a minor role in Hulu’s John Green adaptation, Looking For Alaska. But Cephas Jones’ best-known work to modern audiences will be as William “Shakespeare” Hill in This is Us. The biological father of Sterling K. Brown’s character, Jones appeared in 31 episodes of the hit show. Jones won Emmys for the role in 2018 and 2020.
