According to reports, Future’s Freebandz artist Tray Tray passed away earlier this week. Though the circumstances surrounding his alleged death remain unclear, chatter online suggests that he was shot, and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The up-and-coming rapper is said to have died in his hometown of Chicago. The tragic news comes as a major disappointment to fans, who have given their condolences across social media.

Tray Tray previously worked alongside notable artists like Young Thug, Tory Lanez, Doe Boy, and more. Countless social media users are weighing in on his passing, noting that he was likely yet another victim of gang violence. As for Future, the performer recently got his copyright lawsuit thrown out by a judge, after a man sued him for allegedly using elements from his song. The suit concerned Future’s 2018 Beast Mode 2 track “WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT.” The man, Daquan Robinson, claimed that he had ripped off his own song, “When U Think About It.” In the lawsuit, the man noted thematic similarities between the two songs, like money, guns, and jewelry. Memphis Police Name Prime Suspect In Blac Youngsta’s Brother’s Death

Blac Youngsta and his family recently suffered a tragic loss, that of his brother Tomanuel Benson. Moreover, a shooting at a Memphis gas station in the early hours of Friday, August 18 took his life, and officials soon confirmed his identity. Shortly after, they also issued a call for help in identifying the shooter in question, who they suspected drove off in a vehicle after the crime. To do so, they shared an image from security footage that depicts who they believed was the man responsible. Now, according to Fox News in Memphis, they expressed their belief that they found the prime suspect, and are now searching for him.

Furthermore, the Memphis Police Department reportedly named Randy Ewing as the lead person of interest in this crime. In addition, they also released another image of the individual, which seems to match up at first glance with the earlier image that they released. That was a controversial decision in many’s eyes, since it could ruin the person’s life if they were actually innocent in this scenario. While it’s still not confirmed that Ewing is the man responsible for this tragedy, authorities still brought forth charges of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

After news broke of Benson’s death, Blac Youngsta took to Instagram to share a pained and unfortunately vengeful tribute to his brother. “I Love U Baby Brother Rest Up,” the 33-year-old wrote on as an IG Story post. “I’m Gone Make The World Pay. I Swear To God Nobody Safe. Standing Over Everybody. Everybody #4LIFE. Gone Make Sure They Feel Me I Promise. Life Will Never Me The Same But God Got Me. I’m The Strongest Man N The World.”

Meanwhile, this is still a developing case and an open investigation, so this is no surefire assurance of Ewing’s guilt. The wrestling world suffered a tragic loss today (August 24), as it was revealed that former WWE champion Bray Wyatt passed away. The wrestler, born Windham Rotunda, died unexpectedly according to Triple H. He was 36-years-old, and his cause of death has not yet been revealed. Triple H shared the news on Twitter recently, claiming that Mike Rotunda informed him of his passing.

Moreover, the Three 6 Mafia hype man claimed that her brother E Gutta (real name Eric Mitchell) is responsible for her death. Mitchell also overdosed the night that the Memphis MC passed away and was with her, but recovered in the hospital. Still, Black cited an Instagram comment from someone who allegedly went to jail with Mitchell and made several posts alleging this conspiracy. Despite people telling him to stop clout-chasing, the 48-year-old maintained that this was true and refused to back down.

Two-time Emmy Winner Ron Cephas Jones Dies At 66

Actor Ron Cephas Jones has passed away from a “long-standing pulmonary issue” at the age of 66. Jones studied theatre at Ramapo College in New Jersey before moving to Los Angeles. There, he became a transit worker, driving a bus for four years. He returned to the East Coast in the mid-1980s and began spending time in the familiar artist’s haunt of the East Village. After honing his craft with stage work and on Broadway, Jones transitioned to television and film. Additionally, his breakout role was in 1998’s He Got Game.

However, his best-known roles have come in more recent years. After a small role in Mr. Robot, Cephas Jones played chess master Bobby Fish in Luke Cage. He would also appear in a minor role in Hulu’s John Green adaptation, Looking For Alaska. But Cephas Jones’ best-known work to modern audiences will be as William “Shakespeare” Hill in This is Us. The biological father of Sterling K. Brown’s character, Jones appeared in 31 episodes of the hit show. Jones won Emmys for the role in 2018 and 2020.

What’s more saddening about this situation is that Quando Rondo continues to grapple with loss to this day. Shy Glizzy Is Alive Despite Rumors

Earlier this week, some reports surfaced suggesting that Shy Glizzy was dead. For obvious reasons, the news was shocking and managed to sadden those who believed it. Fortunately, however, it appears as though he’s still very much alive, according to his DJ. The DJ, DJ Flow, took to Twitter to set the record straight, even providing fans with proof that Shy’s still kicking. “SHY GLIZZY IS ALIVE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YALL,” he wrote.

He then went on to share a screenshot of a text conversation between him and the DC rapper, in which he asks his friend to confirm. “Just confirm with me you good bro,” he tells Shy Glizzy. Glizzy then responds with a photo, letting the DJ know that he’s okay. “For the weirdos who need confirmation,” DJ Flow captioned the image.

It appears as though the rumors all began when a local news outlet reported that he was the victim of a fatal shooting. They later followed up with a correction, confirming that the individual shot wasn’t Shy Glizzy. They also went on to reveal that the person who was shot hadn’t died either. “@Jefe is alive and the person shot tonight is conscious and breathing and isn’t him!!!” the outlet wrote. It’s safe to say that fans are relieved to hear that Shy Glizzy is still alive. With that being said, this isn’t the only shocking controversy he’s been a part of lately.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the rapper allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, Amaya Colon. In her request for a restraining order, the model accused her ex of having “anger issues.” She went on to detail an alleged incident which saw Shy Glizzy follow her in her vehicle and bang on her windows with a firearm. He denies ever threatening Colon. In July, it was revealed that the artist won’t be facing charges in the case, as the court was unable to find sufficient evidence. The search for Young Capone, also known as Dopeboy Ra or “RaRa,” has come to an unfortunate end. The 35-year-old rapper has been found dead, and the cause of death has yet to be revealed. His publicist, Aleesha Carter, took to Instagram on Tuesday (August 15) to confirm the news, as well as offer the late rapper a tribute. “This is with a heavy, heavy heart that I’m even posting this,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “We made magic when we strategically put out projects, always.

Carter continued: “Young Capone, aka Dopeboy Ra, aka Rara, was one of my first Hip Hop/ Rap clients, and I can’t believe the news I just got of his unexpected passing! A friend…a client, and just huge in East Atlanta. This is not the easiest post at all. Rest easy, RIP @dopeboyra.” Prior to this news, Capone, real name Rodriquez Smith, had been reported missing in Chicago earlier this week. Around the time of his disappearance, there were concerns about his mental health.

The underground Atlanta rap star grew to prominence in the early to mid-’00s. He’s worked with industry heavyweights like Daz Dillinger and Jermaine Dupri. Evidence Points To Angus Cloud’s Death Being Accidental: Report

Angus Cloud, the late Euphoria star who passed away, earlier this month, did not leave behind a note with his death, according to TMZ. The outlet cites multiple law enforcement sources involved in his death investigation. The 911 call placed to the family’s house noted a “possible overdose.”

Despite the 911 call, some fans initially theorized that Cloud’s death was a suicide. The statement confirming his passing referenced that he had been dealing with mental health struggles in the wake of his father’s recent passing. “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” the family said.

Cloud’s mom, Lisa, later clarified that she did not believe her son to have died by suicide. She wrote in a statement: “I don’t know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art project’s, fell asleep and didn’t wake up. We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.”

Cloud was 25 years old at the time of his death. In addition to his role as Fezco on Euphoria, he also had small roles in the independent films North Hollywood and The Line.
