Wendy Williams’ Manager And Publicist No Longer Associated With Her

A report from Radar Online has revealed that neither the longtime manager nor publicist of Wendy Williams currently working for the TV legend despite their heavy presence in her recent documentary. Publicist Shawn Zanotti has reportedly been out of her role with Williams since May 2023. Meanwhile, manager Will Selby, who featured heavily in Where Is Wendy Williams?, reportedly no longer works for Williams in an official capacity. The news about Selby especially comes as a shock as recently as last month he was confirmed to still be working for her.

The reason behind both departures has not been made public at this time. However, many fans are reportedly glad to see both exits, believing that both individuals were taking advantage of Williams. Despite the departures, Williams reportedly remains in a cognitive treatment facility in Florida. She recently went public with a diagnosis of dementia and aphasia.

Meanwhile, Lifetime’s Where Is Wendy Williams? aired despite a legal challenge to block the program. Just days before its late February premiere, Williams’ filed a lawsuit to block Lifetime from airing the show. Sabrina Morrissey petitioned a judge for a restraining order. However, the move was unsuccessful. Despite this, fans agreed after watching the show that it should not have been aired.

However, fans were confused as to why a white attorney is Williams’ guardian, as opposed to a member of Williams’ family. “Wendy has a son, a brother, a father and a sister that is an attorney. How is this happening, why can’t one of them be her guardian? Who’s advising the son, he’s her next of kin, there has to be some rights he has! Smh, I hate seeing this happen to her. Smh,” one person noted. “Her son needs to fight to be made her guardian. How is this woman I’ll and her guardian is letting her drink entire bottles in her bedroom,” added another.

Nicki Minaj showed love to her former manager, Deb Antney, on social media, on Saturday. Antney, who is Waka Flocka Flame‘s mother, worked with Nicki for a number of years during her career. On top of her son and Minaj, she’s also worked with Gucci Mane and French Montana.

“This woman is somebody who, no matter what I went through — every time I called her, I would be crying […] and she would be like, ‘girl, that ain’t no big deal, stop!’” Nicki said. “It was great for me to see a woman in the music business have my back. You know? And tell me that there wasn’t nothing wrong with me.”

J. Cole’s Manager Responds To Fans Pleading For Shows In Bigger Markets

Drake is also among those names, but now he is going back for seconds after dropping For All The Dogs. While this would still be a great thing for music fans to have Drizzy go back on tour solo, J. Cole joining him just makes it all the more special.

It was announced just a handful of days ago as the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? Tour. Drake is going to make up some dates from his first tour according to HipHopDX. Both J. Cole and Drizzy are hitting the road in Denver on January 18. Then, it will end in Birmingham, Alabama in late March. While fans are stoked some are scratching their heads as to why the tour is focused on heading to small cities. Well, Cole’s manager, Ibrahim “IB” Hamad, addressed those questions.

Max B’s Manager Reveals How His Sentence Was Reduced By 55 Years

During a recent interview with Faded & Fit, Max B’s manager Ty Black opened up about the performer’s prison sentence. In 2009, he was sentenced to 75 years behind bars. In 2016, he took a 20-year plea deal for aggravated manslaughter. Black spoke on the 55-year reduction, and sticking by Max B’s side throughout his prison stay.

According to Black, he decided to stick out the rapper’s incarceration because of their close friendship. “That’s my brother,” he explained. “Why wouldn’t you?” He further described how when Max B wasn’t in jail, he “took care” of him. He adds that it wasn’t only a matter of the NYC rapper’s career for him, as the two of them were friends long before his success. “I didn’t care about the music at that time,” he says. “Gotta make sure he good, cause at the end of the day that’s my man. Cause Max took care of me when he was out, he put me in position.”

According to Black, Max B’s sentence was reduced due to “ineffective [assistance] of counsel,” suggesting that his legal representation failed to meet minimum standards of competence. Though it remains unclear exactly when he’ll be released, earlier this year he claimed it would be soon.

He gave fans an update in May, revealing that he was nearing the end of his sentence. “Y’all know what it is. Shout out to the boy,” he said in a clip. “The birthday boy just checking in. During a recent interview with Allison Kugel, 2Pac’s former manager Leila Steinberg opened up about the late performer’s early career. According to her, he was discovered because she was hunting for someone who was able to strike a middle ground, making topics of social justice palatable to young listeners. She says that upon first hearing the hitmaker’s poetry, she knew he was it.

“The reason 2Pac came about is because I kept saying, ‘Oh gosh, we need a rapper that is about social justice, that gets some of the same things [as me],’” Steinburg explained. “I kept looking for someone that was kind of like me. Someone who read like cr*zy and could tackle issues that we don’t talk about. Public Enemy was too radical. There were artists that were in hip hop that were using their voices, but they couldn’t penetrate the schools, because they were too extreme.”

Obviously, her inkling was correct, and he went on to become an icon ahead of his 1996 passing. 2Pac continues to be one of the most well-respected figures in the history of his genre, largely due to the complex issues he tackles in his music. Unfortunately, elsewhere in the interview Steinberg also recalled him signing to Death Row, revealing that she believes that was what cost him his life. During a recent interview, 2Pac’s former manager Leila Steinberg spoke on the final stretch of the late icon’s career, revealing that she believes he never wanted to sign to Death Row. According to her, he made the move out of desperation, and didn’t fully understand the consequences that would come along with it. She also says that people around the performer were taking advantage of him, namely, Suge Knight. “I don’t think, I know Tupac was exploited financially,” Steinberg explained. “I witnessed it.”

She continued, “I witnessed the direction of his career and the power people that didn’t want to hear my voice or my resistance. I did choose to stop managing him, but I stayed close and there were people making a ton of money from the beginning of his career until the end of his career.”

“Tupac did make some money, but he didn’t have access to it,” she continued. “At the end, Suge controlled all of it. Millions we made. Tupac did own some houses. He saw a million, but what’s a million? It’s crumbs. There were hundreds of millions made off of Tupac. There are people who own homes and property now off of Tupac money, and it’s not those of us that were there grinding and working.” Sadly, Steinberg thinks that 2Pac’s decision to sign to Death Row is what ultimately cost him his life.

2Pac was shot in a drive-by in September of 1996, and died in the hospital days later. According to a witness testimony in Keefe D’s trial, he was looking out for others, even after being fatally injured. “Get on the ground. Apparently, the Public Enemy icon’s fans and sources supposedly close to him are expressing a lot of concern over these new influences in his life. Not only that, but fans rumored that this lines up with the last time that he spoke to his youngest son, which happened over a year and a half ago. The two were starting to form a strong connection when Ellis and Salvaggio intervened and, according to source reports, strayed him away from family.

Furthermore, a lot of this doubt around the potential I’m A Celebrity star‘s career stems from his manger’s credentials. Ellis claims to be a Harvard University graduate, but she only has small degrees and certifications from the institution’s often looked-down-upon Extension Studies program. Moreover, Dreamville manager and close friend of Cole’s, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, took to Twitter to address these speculations. He doesn’t understand how people drew this connection, although it’s not as unreasonable as he paints.
