Diamond D Recalls 2Pac Shooting “Drunk” Cops After Clark Atlanta University’s Homecoming

Diamond D recently recalled a time that 2Pac shot two “drunk” and “rogue” police officers who were “harassing a Black man” nearby. The incident occurred after the two attended Clark Atlanta University’s homecoming in 1993. Diamond D posted about the night on Instagram on its 30th anniversary, earlier this week.

“It was 30 yrs ago last night when me, Pac and Stretch flew to ATL for his show at Clark U,” Diamond D wrote. “Afterwards as we were approaching the Sheraton hotel off 14th & Peachtree (it is now called The Starling Hotel) is where the infamous incident happened when Pac shot 2 drunk rogue plain clothed white cops who were harassing a Black man.” From there, Diamond D claims 2Pac “intervened to help” the person “he didn’t even know.” In retaliation, the officers apparently “smashed the driver’s side window.”

“I was in the back seat watching this shyt. Pac got out the car and as the cops walked away pac got down to one knee in a firing stance and hit em both in the ass. He beat this case because both cops were drunk and both had guns they took from the evidence room from their station…plus they were from another county so they were wrong all the way around they were outside looking for trouble and they found it.” According to AllHipHop, 2Pac was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, but the charges were dropped when it was discovered that one of the officers was using a gun he’d stolen from the Henry County evidence room. 2Pac Was “Exploited Financially” By Suge Knight, Feared For His Bodyguards’ Safety

During a recent interview, 2Pac’s former manager Leila Steinberg spoke on the final stretch of the late icon’s career, revealing that she believes he never wanted to sign to Death Row. According to her, he made the move out of desperation, and didn’t fully understand the consequences that would come along with it. She also says that people around the performer were taking advantage of him, namely, Suge Knight. “I don’t think, I know Tupac was exploited financially,” Steinberg explained. “I witnessed it.”

She continued, “I witnessed the direction of his career and the power people that didn’t want to hear my voice or my resistance. I did choose to stop managing him, but I stayed close and there were people making a ton of money from the beginning of his career until the end of his career.”

“Tupac did make some money, but he didn’t have access to it,” she continued. “At the end, Suge controlled all of it. Millions we made. Tupac did own some houses. He saw a million, but what’s a million? It’s crumbs. There were hundreds of millions made off of Tupac. There are people who own homes and property now off of Tupac money, and it’s not those of us that were there grinding and working.” Sadly, Steinberg thinks that 2Pac’s decision to sign to Death Row is what ultimately cost him his life.

2Pac was shot in a drive-by in September of 1996, and died in the hospital days later. According to a witness testimony in Keefe D’s trial, he was looking out for others, even after being fatally injured. “Get on the ground. They’re going to shoot you,” he recalled 2Pac telling his bodyguards. Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on 2Pac.

Tupac Murder Case: Police Reportedly Arrest Suspect In Drive-By Shooting

The murder of Tupac Shakur is one of hip-hop’s most tragic and infamous stories, one that continues to spark interest, mystery, and controversy. Of course, his feud with Biggie Smalls and his subsequent loss also adds to that dark context and intrigue. However, despite this case being open for over twenty years, there is still hope that we will get some answers. Sure, those answers have mostly been conspiracies up until this point, but it seems like we might get an official closure on it soon. Moreover, according to reports from the Associated Press, Las Vegas police arrested a suspect in the fatal 1996 drive-by shooting.

No further details emerged surrounding this arrest as of writing this article, so things are still pretty unclear. What’s more is that this follows a couple of other interesting developments in the Tupac case as of late, especially concerning Keefe D. Many believe, including prosecutors, that he’s responsible for the murder, but recent forensic examinations point to other conclusions. For example, authorities found bullets in his home that don’t match the crime scene in this case, and his testimonies and legal battle reignited speculation around this.

Tupac Murder Suspect Arrested, AP Reports

“Well, the story I heard that was portrayed in the murder rap movie or whatever, it was Greg Katie accounts that supposedly Keefe D gave,” Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal, expressed to The Art of Dialogue of the Tupac case in a recent interview, calling cap on Keefe’s denials. “If you ever been in an interrogation or anything that has to do with some law enforcement, right? Before they get to that videotape, before they get to that camera, it’s already written down what you’re going to say. They going to tell you what they need for you to say and how they need for you to think and what you need to do to get out this situation.

“And Keefe D- no disrespect,” Deal continued. “To me, he did what he had to do to walk home. He said what he had to say to be a free man. All the players is dead right now. He’s the only spade left on the table. He gon’ win, or he gon’ lose.” For more news and the latest updates on the Tupac Shakur murder case, stay logged into HNHH.

Kendrick Lamar Pays Homage To 2Pac 27 Years After Fatal Shooting

Yesterday (September 7), Kendrick Lamar took to social media, seemingly paying homage to 2Pac. The performer shared a handful of photos on his Instagram account from a recent Tokyo visit, posing with BAPE founder Nigo, taking a trip to Tower Records to pick up some essentials, and more. In one of the photos, Kendrick also shows off a t-shirt featuring 2Pac holding both of his middle fingers up.

Though Kendrick’s IG photo dump failed to specifically mention 2Pac’s shooting, it was posted 27 years to the day. He was shot in a drive-by in Vegas back in 1996, and succumbed to his injuries only a few days later in the hospital. Kendrick has made his love for 2Pac known previously, even claiming in a 2013 interview that the artist came to him in a dream. He says that the late 2Pac told him, “Keep doing what you doing, don’t let my music die.” 2Pac’s killer remains unconfirmed, however, it appears as though investigators have some ideas.

Kendrick Lamar Shows Off 2Pac T-Shirt

Back in July, police searched the Henderson, NV home of Duane “Keefe D” Davis. Keefe D is the uncle of Orlando Anderson, who is widely believed to be the man behind 2Pac’s murder. He passed away in May of 1998, never having been charged for his alleged crimes. In the past, Keefe D has publicly claimed to have handed his nephew the gun used to kill 2Pac. Now, he could finally be facing some legal repercussions.

In August, it was reported by The Daily Mirror that some sources say prosecutors are ready to bring Keefe D’s case to trial. “We expect this matter to become a criminal case imminently,” detectives reportedly told the outlet. “Keefe has gloated so much about this that he has effectively talked himself into huge legal trouble.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates, and share your thoughts on Kendrick’s 2Pac t-shirt in the comments section below.
