Diddy Trades Lawsuits: Ex-Nanny Drops Case, But Artist Sues Him For Unpaid Work

Diddy is in a very difficult position right now, albeit one that’s unconfirmed as far as how accountable and responsible he is for it. Moreover, whenever one lawsuit drops, another seems to emerge in its place, which is exactly what happened this month. Readers may remember a wrongful termination lawsuit against him from a former nanny, which at one point was among his big legal challenges before explosive sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations emerged against him. But Raven Wales-Warden dismissed her complaint with prejudice, which bars a potential refiling, on April 2 according to MyNewsLA, and it’s unclear if it was due to a settlement or not at press time.

However, Diddy also received a $200K lawsuit on Tuesday (April 9) from an artist who claims he never paid him for a scrapped art project amid his other accusations regarding sex-related crimes. According to court documents reportedly obtained by HipHopDX, the Southern District of New York got a complaint filing from Raven Production Management Group, LLC. The plaintiff’s story goes that Phantom Labs and Matthew Lupton commissioned him for a sculpture for an even Sean Combs was organizing for August of 2023. While he signed a contract and promised funding the very next day, the plaintiff claims, he was never paid for this work.

Diddy Hit With $200K Lawsuit Over Unpaid Art Commission

Furthermore, the plaintiff specifically alleges that he spent an additional $20,000 in project costs, and by the time the initiative fell in limbo due to the event’s postponement, the costs totaled up to $97,000. The artist wants Diddy to cough up “damages to Raven in an amount to be determined at trial, but no less than $200,000 for breach of contract [and] no less than $96,732.00 for fraudulent inducement.” In addition, the plaintiff seeks other damages. These include “for tortious interference with contract and business relations, deceptive trade practices, unjust enrichment, and quantum meruit.”

50 Cent Says “I Love You, No P. Diddy” At Dreamville Fest

50 Cent just hit the stage during Dreamville Fest in North Carolina, and he brought the same Instagram troll energy that he’s been relentless with ever since the Diddy allegations kicked into high gear. “I love you, my brother -– no P. Diddy,” he said to the crowd, who responded with exclamations, some laughs, and an overall befuddled tone. “I love you… even if you’re a sex worker.” Of course, the G-Unit mogul didn’t really surprise anyone with this jab, as it’s pretty much all he’s been doing on the ‘Gram as of late. Still, to see it at a large scale is pretty wild, and it goes to show that his spirit isn’t merely contained by social media.

That being said, 50 Cent has some allegations of sexual assault of his own to address (which he’s denied) from Daphne Joy, his child’s mother who Diddy stands accused of hiring as a sex worker in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ $30 million lawsuit against him. On this matter, he’s standing by his claim of innocence. Regardless, it seems like everyone that even slightly involves themselves in this situation suddenly has a target on their back for either Sean Combs’ defenders or his detractors. But Fif’s never been one to put out a fire quietly, and we’re sure he’ll continue to douse some gasoline on the discussion.

50 Cent Trolls Diddy At Dreamville Fest: Watch

50 Cent aside, the most recent development in the Diddy situation involves another of his alleged sex workers, model Jane Ramey, denying this status. “Yes, I dated someone,” she shared, reportedly via her publicist. “Dating someone doesn’t directly correlate to any of the false allegations made. How unfortunate we’ve entered a time where caring for someone or falling in love is worthy of scrutiny in the court of public opinion. What may be amusing for you is real life for others, and my feelings have never been for entertainment, nor are they up for discussion. We need to be more conscious as a society when ridiculing people’s lives and relationships merely for enjoyment. I appreciate everyone’s kind messages and support during this time.”

Meanwhile, what do you think about this jab? Where does it land among the Queens mogul’s other trolls against Puff Daddy? However you may feel, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and more updates on 50 Cent and Diddy.

Diddy & Lil Rod Lawsuit: Rodney Jones’ Lawyer Under Scrutiny For Past Litigation Concerns

Rodney Jones, also known as Lil Rod, launched a staggering $30 million lawsuit against Diddy for sexual assault and sex trafficking claims with the help of lawyer Tyrone Blackburn. However, it seems like they may be in for more trouble than they thought. Moreover, Judge Denise Cote referred Blackburn to the Southern District of New York’s Grievances Committee on Wednesday (April 3), according to court documents obtained by AllHipHop. In them, he’s accused of “disturbing” past litigation, including deliberately salacious lawsuits in Federal Court. Judge Cote believes there’s a pattern in the attorney’s behavior that demonstrates he files cases to leverage the Federal Court process in his favor.

Specifically, Judge Cote accused Diddy’s accuser’s lawyer of purposefully attracting media attention to his cases, defaming defendants with unfounded and scandalous claims, and wriggling a rapid settlement out of them. Similar and recent accusations also emerged against lawyers Liane Fisher and Michael J. Taubenfeldckburn. In addition, she alleged that Blackburn did not properly file cases in their appropriate districts and brought up five instances of his continued action despite this lack of due diligence. Apparently, his case did not fall within Rule 11 obligations (which ensures that accusations are well-founded), something the Court is now very troubled with.

“A reasonable inference from Blackburn’s pattern of behavior is that he improperly files cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly,” Judge Cote wrote of Diddy’s prosecutor. “Regardless of Blackburn’s intentions, his actions in this and prior cases indicate a repeated failure to meet his Rule 11 obligations.” UMG CEO Sir Lucian Grainge also reportedly considered to sanction Blackburn for Rule 11 violations, and he’s a defendant in the Sean Combs lawsuit. Depending on what the Grievance Committee concludes, this judicial admonishment could impact other high-profile cases of his.

For example, Blackburn also sued Nicki Minaj, Kenneth Petty, T.I., Tiny, and more. As such, this could have pretty hefty consequences for his legal career. Nevertheless, the claims against (or for) the Bad Boy executive remain officially uncharged, unconfirmed, but nonetheless rightfully scrutinized under law enforcement. What Happened Between Meek Mill & Kanye West?

The Hip Hop industry is fraught with feuds and beefs, and sometimes it’s hard to determine their origins. However, in an unusual scenario, Meek Mill has stated that even he doesn’t know why he and Kanye West are embroiled in a feud.  From controversies, diss tracks, and Twitter call-outs, the pair have been trading shots for a while. So, what truly happened between Meek Mill and Kanye West? Let’s peel back the layers to uncover the truth behind the headlines and of course, social media spats.

July 2020: Ye’s Grievances With Meek Mill & Kim K Meeting

In the midst of Ye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian, the Chicago-born native made a bombshell allegation regarding Meek Mill and Kim. The Vultures 1 artist suggested that Kim attempted to make a move on Meek. “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform,’” West wrote. “Meek is my man and was respectful. That’s my dog,” he added, before claiming that “Kim was out of line.” In response, Meek called “cap” and the tension between them seemed to have been put to an end.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

In early October 2022, Kanye West held his Paris fashion show. There, he was spotted wearing a shirt that bore the phrase “White Lives Matter.” The rapper and record producer was also seen with the frequent controversy stirrer, Candace Owens. Unsurprisingly, she also donned the same shirt in white. Knowing the sentiments that phrase carries, it’s no surprise that there was immediate backlash.

One of the celebrities who called West out was Boosie. He tweeted: “@kanyewest AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL SHIT ON!! U GIVES NO FUCKS ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN. N U SAY BUSH DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE…REALLY NIGGA.” A few days later, Kanye responded to Boosie’s tweet with a now-deleted tweet. He wrote: “Speak to me. Yeah little nerd ass me come smack me or come shoot me. I’m the one that got bullied by the entire black celebrity community now I’m back to shoot the school up.”

On October 7, 2022, Meek Mill joined the conversation and called Kanye West. He wrote a long post on his Instagram story speaking on how he felt about West’s tweet against Boosie. He wrote: “I used to listen to ye every night and jail for motivation on god. And came home and watched him shit on my name and brand like nothing. I ain’t say nothing, but I been knew you was on that nerd tryna shit on street N***as you just said it to Boosie… it hurts my heart to even know some of y’all this crazy and lame.”

October 16, 2022: The Infamous Drink Champs Interview

Days after Meek Mill’s Instagram statement, Kanye West went on Drink Champs. The entire interview was filled with outlandish comments from West, which caused the video to be taken down soon after it was uploaded. He not only made false claims about George Floyd’s death, but also made several anti-Semitic comments. To top it all off, Kanye brought also up Meek Mill’s name, labeling Meek a fed. “All you fake hard n***as, fuck you,” he said. “You can’t shoot nobody anyway, and the only reason you talk is because you did a deal you fucking fed.”

November 20, 2022: “God Did”

By November, Meek Mill released his freestyle music video for the track, “God Did.” The track centered on Meek Mill’s triumphs and tribulations. On it, he reflected on his modest origins, advocacy for prison reform, and subtle jabs aimed at the 2024 presidential hopeful. However, it was clear that Meek Mill also had some words for West that he needed to get off his chest.

He rapped: “I will never sell my soul for money, like I’m Kanye/ It’s crazy I used to bring you on my cell house on lock day/ Famous b**ches got my idols lookin’ at me sideways/ I don’t need no verses from you n***as, I did it my way.”

December 2022: Kanye Laughs At Meek Mill

During a conversation with Wack 100 on Clubhouse, West revisited the controversy surrounding his “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. He then directed his criticism towards Meek Mill, and couldn’t contain his laughter when the notion of Meek offering him advice was brought up. He said, laughing: “And I put White Lives Matter on a t-shirt. And they said, you know what let’s go get celebrities, let’s go get Puff Daddy, let’s get Dave Chappelle, let’s get Meek Mills. What makes somebody think Meek Mills can say something to me? This is the funniest thing. Yo man, I’m about to start crying laughing. Somebody thought Meek Mills? Sorry. I’m literally in tears. Somebody say, Meek Mills.”

That same day, Meek responded to West with a tweet that read: “Never lost my mind for fame or money. I still have my family… my people respect me… I’m freeing people from prison… I’m doing community service all month with children up close and personal.” He ended his message with the line, “I’m chilling wit my son and his friends today.. y’all on clubhouse at 50 lol.”

March 2024: “Carnival”

Kanye took to his Instagram account on March 11 to share a video commemorating the success of his latest chart-topper, “Carnival.” In his celebratory post, Ye took the opportunity to specifically mention Drake, Hailey Bieber, the Three Stripes brand, and several others. Around the same time, his interview with Big Boy launched where he delved into similar conspiracies about supposed “handlers” in the music industry, including the Philadelphia rapper. Meek Mill then took to X to speak on the matter. It was then that he stated that he was confused why their beef started.

He wrote: “I think Yeezy smart but be off a lil but because I bought like 17 pair of Yeezys since we been trading rap shots. And I listened to your music to get me through my bid you a super legend I was more confused of why you was going so hard to go at me in the beginning. When you see us going at it it’s always rap beef we know each other personally and would never let it go to far! It’s a bloody sport gotta be rough wit it.” Ye has yet to respond to the tweet.

Russell Simmons Receives Lawsuit From Server In Bali, Reportedly Expresses Shock

The various accusations of sexual assault against Russell Simmons have seemingly followed him all the way to Bali, where he currently resides. Moreover, AllHipHop reports that process server Daniel John Ayoub handed him a lawsuit from fellow former music executive Drew Dixon for defamation concerning his staunch dismissal of her sexual assault claims against him. The story goes that, on March 5, Ayoub went to the Gdas Bali Health And Wellness Resort, which Simmons owns, to serve him with the filing at around 12:30PM local time. After passing two security checkpoints, he searched for him for an hour before finally spotting him.

“I recognized him as the person named in the service papers as Russell Simmons,” Ayoub reportedly expressed. “[He’s] a well-known celebrity and widely known in Bali, Indonesia as well as in the United States and other places.” Simmons had sat with some associates by the time the server approached him. “I said ‘Excuse me, Mr. Simmons, sorry to interrupt your meeting,’” he reportedly claimed. “I then handed Simmons the service documents in an envelope and said, ‘This is for you.’” According to reports, the Queens native expressed shock at the move, and made some calls to his security staff and other unknown contacts.

For those unaware, this case began when Russell Simmons vehemently denied Drew Dixon’s accusations of sexual assault against him. He called her a “liar” and insinuated that the people accusing him of this behavior simply want the fame and money that such a high-profile case brings. Dixon then sued for defamation, as she claims these comments negatively impacted her professional and personal life in a massive way. She seeks compensatory and punitive damages, and this is a separate case to another related to sexual assault from another former Def Jam executive.

Meanwhile, Dixon also accused music executive L.A. Reid of similar abhorrent behavior, who has also denied any and all claims. According to court documented reportedly obtained by AllHipHop, both legal teams are considering settlements in their respective cases. But it’s unclear what the future will hold in terms of proper evaluation of evidence, accountability, and industry change. Rick Ross Has A Secret Child That Looks Like Drake, Ex Tia Kemp Claims After He Unfollows Him

The strained relationship between Rick Ross and his ex Tia Kemp has been a pretty big story in the hip-hop media gossip landscape for a while now. Moreover, tensions flared up even more after he dissed her on his feature on “Everyday Hustle,” one of the tracks off of Future and Metro Boomin’s brand-new collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU. However, interestingly enough, this created a space for this romantic battlefield to cross over with the rap arena. Kemp clapped back on social media, taking to Instagram Live to claim that the Maybach Music Group boss has a secret baby that looks suspiciously like Drake.

“I want to see my stepson that look like Drake,” Tia Kemp said against Rick Ross in the lengthy IG Live rant below. Overall, it’s a lot of smoke for him on a lot of different levels, and it looks like he doesn’t have his boo by his side anymore to balance this out. Fans recently expressed shock and some disbelief when Cristina Mackey revealed that she and the Too Good To Be True‘s relationship was… well, too good to be true, and that they called it off. She even previewed a track about their breakup.

Tia Kemp Claims Rick Ross Has A Secret Drake Lookalike Baby: Watch

Furthermore, the aforementioned crossover is because Rick Ross apparently unfollowed Drake on Instagram, and so did NAV despite Drizzy quoting his lyrics in a recent Instagram post. This was the first post he made after WE DON’T TRUST YOU dropped, on which Kendrick Lamar unleashed some scathing disses against him. Also, Future and Metro Boomin have their own alleged beef with The Boy, so it looks like people are acting quick and picking sides. Still, it’s easy to get caught up in this narrative, but with something as trivial and ephemeral as social media follows, there’s a strong likelihood that no one would’ve noticed that they don’t follow each other if it wasn’t for this alleged feud.

Rozay Seems To Pick A Side

Meanwhile, a similar situation happened when Travis Scott asked Metro and Pluto to play the Kendrick song at Rolling Loud L.A. Fans thought that he wanted them to take a strong stance against them, but considering that they didn’t even play the Kendrick Lamar verse, maybe La Flame didn’t even know that he was on it and just wanted to hear that amazing beat. Whose side are these people on? Only time will tell. For more news and the latest updates on Rick Ross, stay up to date on HNHH.

Takeoff Murder Lawsuit Continues, Venue Owner Blames Suspect, Migos & Patrons For Violence

New reports on court documents in Takeoff’s mother’s lawsuit against the venue at which he met a tragic end in late 2022 reveal some very interesting arguments. Moreover, according to RadarOnline, the owner of 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston placed all blame for the murder on its charged suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, and his possession of an illegal gun. However, the location also seems to have attributed responsibility to Quavo, Take, and their associates who participated in gambling outside of the venue. Since this lawsuit’s filing in June of 2023, no settlement is in sight and 810 Billiards & Bowling want its dismissal.

Furthermore, Takeoff’s mother Titania Davenport claimed that the bowling alley knew of Quavo and her son’s arrival beforehand and should’ve bolstered security, according to The Los Angeles Times. She maintains that the former Migo was an innocent onlooker during this incident, one that 810 Billiards & Bowling should assume responsibility for given their knowledge of the possibility of large gatherings to see the rappers. In addition, Davenport claimed that some of the venue’s patrons were the one to intimidate Take, cause physical and verbal altercations, and ultimately lead to his loss. She seeks over a million dollars in damages for emotional distress, funeral expenses, and her son’s personal injuries.

Nevertheless, Titania Davenport has other issues to handle around Takeoff’s death, as his father Kenneth Ball is listed as an intervenor in this case against 810 Billiards & Bowling. The Georgia MC’s parents have battled over his estate for a while now, as he had no will and, according to RapUp, left around $26 million when he passed. AllHipHop also reported that Ball seeks $1 million in damages from the venue for similar reasons to Davenport. Quavo’s assistant also filed a lawsuit against the location in August of 2023, claiming similar irresponsibility when it comes to security and pointing to his own sustained injuries from the shootout.

Meanwhile, after authorities charged Patrick Xavier Clark with the murder, he remains on house arrest until his next court date for August 2024. Perhaps we will see this year if there will truly be justice for the late legend, at least when it comes to who was responsible for his passing. But justice will never heal these wounds. Instead, that’s up to his family, his loved ones, his legacy, and to us as fans to advocate for the prevention of these incidents in the future and keep Takeoff’s memory alive. For more news and the latest updates on him, stay posted on HNHH.

Travis Scott Astroworld Security Head Warned Of Overcrowding Before Tragedy, Court Docs Reveal

The Astroworld Festival tragedy of 2021 is one of the most infamous hip-hop history moments of the decade so far, and for good reason. Ten lives were lost, and hundreds more injured, and scrutiny for the event’s organization, planning, and execution followed immediately. While Travis Scott himself seems mostly cleared of all wrongdoing, there is still a lot of conversation around his personal responsibility and accountability. But even more important in the civil litigation against the rapper and Live Nation, the concert series organizers, are new reports from AllHipHop and other sources about what could’ve been prevented.

Furthermore, these new revelations indicate that Astroworld Festival’s Safery and Risk Director for 2021, Seyth Boardman, warned organizers about overcrowding before this aspect resulted in the tragedy, according to court documents reportedly obtained by AHH. Specifically, he made these claims days before they planned accommodated 50,000 festival patrons, a number that reportedly rose by 5,000 individuals on the day of Travis Scott’s concert series. In addition, these new filings reveal that organizers thought they had to account for five square feet per person due to the fire safety code. In fact, they reportedly had to hold the standard at seven square feet.

As such, this new scrutiny centers around the alleged irresponsibility displayed by Live Nation and Travis Scott by underestimating the space necessary to prevent a crowd surge or overcrowding. What’s more is that litigators specifically claim that 50,000 people fit in a space that should’ve accounted for a crowd of 34,500. Additional claims include a lack of action when it comes to folks entering the festival without a ticket and insufficient monitoring for those who needed help in the crowd. This is such a big element that prosecutors identified security breaches as a principal contributor to the disaster.

Meanwhile, there’s still significant legal action from about 4,900 patrons that seek billions of dollars in damages. Drake’s legal team still wants the court to remove him from these lawsuits despite performing that night alongside Scott, since he had no knowledge of security concerns or the festival’s organization. The Houston MC cooperated with police, and the current focus is on the safety guidelines and event planning that caused this tragedy. For more news and the latest updates on Travis Scott, check back in with HNHH.

Why Did Armand Hammer Remove Junglepussy from “We Buy Diabetic Test Strips”?

Underground rap duo Armand Hammer released their latest full-length LP We Buy Diabetic Test Strips on streaming services in September 2023. Despite this fact, if you pull up the record on Spotify or Apple Music, you’ll see a release date of February 27, 2024, along with a few noticeable differences from the original September release. The Armand Hammer album has introduced a new bonus track titled “Doves” to its end, but mysteriously, the two Junglepussy features that were previously present on tracks “Y’all Can’t Stand Right Here” and “Empire BLVD” are now missing.

Fans immediately began to notice these changes after the updated version of the album went live in February, prompting an outpouring of questions as to why Armand Hammer members billy woods and Elucid would want to remove Junglepussy from the album. While no concrete answers have been provided by any party involved, subtle hints suggest a possible reason for this change.

Junglepussy Seemingly Tweeted About Her Removal

On the day the Armand Hammer project re-released, Junglepussy shared a post on social media that may relate to her removal. Her tweet read “I remove myself from situations where I’m being treated poorly no matter what I don’t stick around to save face for nobody.” This prompted fans to inquire if billy woods and Elucid mistreated the New York femcee or if the associated management and label executives involved with distributing We Buy Diabetic Test Strips underpaid her.

Subsequent posts shared to Junglepussy’s X account seemed to shade the underground rap duo, including a March 2 post that reads, “I’ve had to teach artists I used to look up to that they cannot treat me like sh** just bc they’ve been thru sh**” as well as a March 9 post which says “I had no idea choosing to remove myself wud keep my name in the mouths of these dusties.” While no party has confirmed that these comments are related to the Armand Hammer situation, the timing certainly casts suspicion on their connection.

Junglepussy’s Features Were Controversial Among Fans

While Junglepussy’s social media posts hint at potential mistreatment or underpayment by Armand Hammer, some fans have actively supported the removal of her inclusions online. A number of Reddit commenters have stated displeasure with Junglepussy’s spacey, spoken-word delivery and brash, grinding lyrics, and have found that they enjoy “Y’all Can’t Stand Right Here” and “Empire BLVD” more without her vocals.

Regardless, many other fans prefer the original Junglepussy versions of the songs, making the new iterations seem shallow and incomplete. Armand Hammer have scrubbed all versions of Junglepussy’s vocals from streaming services, even eliminating the tracks from downloaded Spotify libraries. In this way, it seems clear that Armand Hammer are trying to unceremoniously sweep Junglepussy’s contribution to the record under the rug, despite there being droves of fans who stream “Y’all Can’t Stand Right Here” and “Empire BLVD” just to hear her well-articulated sultry tones.

billy woods And Elucid Have Not Responded

The duo behind Armand Hammer have not acknowledged or responded to Junglepussy’s removal from the record, solidifying fan theories that something personal went awry between the three New York artists behind the scenes. billy woods, known for being highly elusive and difficult to reach online, has not made any public statements. However, Elucid has continued to champion the rerelease of We Buy Diabetic Test Strips on social media.

The official Armand Hammer Spotify account shared the new album with the caption “Featuring new bonus track Doves” without making any mention of the other changes. For now, it seems that the only way to hear Junglepussy’s original verses is to dig up YouTube archives of the two tracks or purchase early presses of physical We Buy Diabetic Test Strips releases.

E.Ness Calls Diddy Accusations A “Smear Campaign”

E.Ness is the latest celebrity to speak out about the wave of sexual assault accusations against Diddy, which also involve various other alleged crimes. Moreover, he’s taking the side of folks who think this is all fake and a ploy to punish him based on false claims. For those unaware, Ness was part of Da Band, the Bad Boy rap group whose creation and career was chronicled in the MTV reality series Making The Band 2. This defense from a label mate also adds onto Sean Combs’ own denials, but their voices are quite small in the wider discourse on these allegations.

“It’s a smear campaign,” E.Ness claimed concerning the Diddy lawsuits during an interview with Directed BY CEO Nafees on YouTube. “That’s what’s happening with Puff. It’s a smear campaign. And what they usually do is they go to your personal habits. They start attacking your personal habits, your girlfriends, your exes. Then they try to find something to attack you through those vessels.” He also alleged that this is the “classic rollout” that they gave other alleged celebrity abusers like R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson, and Bill Cosby.

E.Ness Speaks On Diddy Situation

However, despite all this speculation and conflicting narratives, Diddy has popped out at least a few times for the public eye beyond just his defenses of himself. Recently, he and his family hit up Rolling Loud Los Angeles over the weekend, where he and his children got to see Ye and Ty Dolla $ign, Nicki Minaj, and likely other sets at the festival. Still, the Bad Boy mogul remains quite tight-lipped and private amid all these claims, as he has a lot of legal baggage to handle. While others agree with E.Ness’ assessment, there are far too many testimonies with too much weight to ignore.

Meanwhile, as the New York icon’s charter school also reportedly struggles to stay up to snuff, he will need many solutions his way fast. Nevertheless, what most folks want is accountability under a fair legal process, and for the industry to reckon with long-term avoidance of crimes like these. As impossible as it sounds, that fight is what matters most. For more news and the latest updates on E.Ness and Diddy, check back in with HNHH.
