Diddy Trades Lawsuits: Ex-Nanny Drops Case, But Artist Sues Him For Unpaid Work

Diddy is in a very difficult position right now, albeit one that’s unconfirmed as far as how accountable and responsible he is for it. Moreover, whenever one lawsuit drops, another seems to emerge in its place, which is exactly what happened this month. Readers may remember a wrongful termination lawsuit against him from a former nanny, which at one point was among his big legal challenges before explosive sexual assault and sex trafficking allegations emerged against him. But Raven Wales-Warden dismissed her complaint with prejudice, which bars a potential refiling, on April 2 according to MyNewsLA, and it’s unclear if it was due to a settlement or not at press time.

However, Diddy also received a $200K lawsuit on Tuesday (April 9) from an artist who claims he never paid him for a scrapped art project amid his other accusations regarding sex-related crimes. According to court documents reportedly obtained by HipHopDX, the Southern District of New York got a complaint filing from Raven Production Management Group, LLC. The plaintiff’s story goes that Phantom Labs and Matthew Lupton commissioned him for a sculpture for an even Sean Combs was organizing for August of 2023. While he signed a contract and promised funding the very next day, the plaintiff claims, he was never paid for this work.

Furthermore, the plaintiff specifically alleges that he spent an additional $20,000 in project costs, and by the time the initiative fell in limbo due to the event’s postponement, the costs totaled up to $97,000. The artist wants Diddy to cough up “damages to Raven in an amount to be determined at trial, but no less than $200,000 for breach of contract [and] no less than $96,732.00 for fraudulent inducement.” In addition, the plaintiff seeks other damages. These include “for tortious interference with contract and business relations, deceptive trade practices, unjust enrichment, and quantum meruit.”

Lil Wayne & Former Private Chef Settle Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

Back in 2022, Lil Wayne was hit with a lawsuit by his former private chef, who accused him of wrongfully terminating her. The chef, Morghan Medlock, said that her son suffered a head injury in May of that year, forcing her to leave Vegas to take care of the child in LA. Despite claiming to have done her best to accommodate the rapper, she was allegedly fired days later.

“Though she was well aware of her job tasks and schedule and anticipated return date to Los Angeles, Ms. Medlock made her best efforts to coordinate her return to Los Angeles in conjunction with her job tasks and [Lil Wayne’s] scheduled return to Los Angeles, which would have allowed her to then go directly to care for her son,” the suit read. Lil Wayne’s assistant later relayed a simple message from him to her. “Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” they allegedly told Medlock.

Lil Wayne and his legal team deny Medlock’s allegations, insisting they were completely justified in terminating the chef’s employment. They insist she was let go due to “legitimate, good faith, justified, nondiscriminatory and/or non-retaliatory business reasons.” Fortunately, it looks as if the two parties have decided to put the long-winded legal dispute to rest. Reportedly, an attorney for Medlock told Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Kristin Escalante that they reached a settlement earlier this week.

Details of the settlement have not been disclosed at the time of writing. What do you think of Lil Wayne’s former private chef accusing him of wrongful termination and more? What about the two of them finally reaching a settlement? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Diddy Accused Of Withholding Evidence In Ex-Nanny’s Wrongful Firing Case

As successful as this year was for Diddy, it also came with its fair share of legal complications and cases. For example, one that developed towards the end of 2022 and carried over into 2023 has to do with a nanny that he fired. Raven Walden sued the Bad Boy mogul in September of last year for wrongful termination, alleging that he let her go because she requested maternity leave and “set a bad example” for his daughters by getting pregnant out of wedlock. Now, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Walden requested that the court force him to hand over evidence she requested in the case months ago.

Not only that, but Walden and her lawyers want a judge to impose sanctions on Diddy for his negligence in this. Specifically, they accused him of improper proceedings in the discovery process, as they allegedly controlled what the court and the case had access to. According to the plaintiff’s team, Sean Combs and his legal team “abused the discovery process with impunity and have shown no regard for this Court’s directions to them, their own promises, or their discovery obligations.” As such, it will be interesting to see how this case develops in court when this debacle over evidence is such a big component.

In response to all this, Diddy sought to dismiss this lawsuit promptly, and fired off some counterclaims at Walden. Maintaining that he fired her for good-faith and non-discriminatory reasons, he alleged that she “[wasn’t] performing all of her job duties as required.” In addition, Puff Daddy stated that Walden “received compensation for work that was not performed, thus resulting in wages being paid to [her] that were not owed.” This is relevant because Walden seeks an unspecified amount in damages for the allegedly wrongful termination, which he might counter with these claims of overpayment.

Meanwhile, the music executive also detailed steps to “implement internal grievance processes designed to respond to, correct, remedy, or otherwise avoid the alleged harm, if any.” He said Walden didn’t take advantage of these, and thus her grievances are less justified. We’ll see where the court sides on these matters. For more news and updates on Diddy, log back into HNHH.

Diddy Moves To Dismiss Wrongful Termination Lawsuit From Nanny

Diddy believes that the former nanny suing him for wrongful termination simply didn’t do a good job. Moreover, according to court documents from a Radar Online report, he filed a motion on Wednesday (May 17) to dismiss all issues brought forth by Raven Wales-Walden. What’s more is that she is allegedly related to the Bad Boy mogul’s late ex, Kim Porter. Specifically, Wales-Walden sued him in 2022 and her accusations revolve around her revealing to the star that she was pregnant, which prompted him to fire her in 2020. Now, the rap icon’s official response fought back against these wrongful termination claims.

According to Sean Combs, Wales-Walden did not “satisfactorily perform her job responsibilities, and otherwise conduct herself in accordance with the standards and policies of Combs Defendants.” Also, his response alleged that he took “reasonable steps to prevent and correct workplace discrimination (if any).” Other actions Diddy claimed to take were to “implement internal grievance processes designed to respond to, correct, remedy, or otherwise avoid the alleged harm, if any.” However, the “Creepin’” MC said that the ex-nanny didn’t take advantage of these resources.

“[Wales-Walden] unreasonably failed to utilize the preventive and corrective measures that the Combs Defendants provided,” Diddy’s response continued. “Reasonable use of such procedures would have prevented at least some of the harm (if any) that [Wales Walden] alleges to have suffered. [Wales-Walden was] not performing all of her job duties as required… There were some days that [Wales-Walden] received compensation for work that was not performed, thus resulting in wages being paid to [Wales-Walden] that were not owed.” Still, the 53-year-old is not the only one the nanny brought up in her legal action.

Wales-Walden’s suit also names Tri Star Sports and others, further explaining that she became a full-time nanny before termination. After Porter passed away from pneumonia in November of 2018, she took care of Porter’s twins with Diddy. However, she claimed that the hip-hop businessman became “infuriated” when she revealed her pregnancy. Not only that, but his team allegedly said she set a bad example for his daughters by being pregnant and unmarried. It’s unclear how much she seeks in damages, but Diddy denied all these allegations and questioned her true relation to Kim Porter. Lil Wayne Sued By Former Personal Chef

Lil Wayne is nearly three decades into his decorated career as one of the undisputed greatest rappers of all time.

At this point, nothing surrounding the 40-year-old hitmaker should really come as a surprise.

In the most recent news about the “Lollipop” rapper, he’s now facing a lawsuit. It comes from Morghan Medlock, who formerly worked as his personal chef.

According to a report from TMZ, Medlock is accusing the New Orleans native of various different unlawful practices. The alleged injustices include wrongful termination and retaliation.

It all began when she was in Las Vegas for a trip with Weezy and his crew during Memorial Day weekend earlier this year. Upon getting a call notifying her that her 10-year-old son was in the hospital after sustaining a head injury, Medlock obviously needed to get back to her home in L.A.

However, she claims that the Young Money rapper is responsible for delaying the flight back because he was too busy smoking on the aircraft. She subsequently chose to catch a different flight home instead.

Although she notified Tunechi’s assistant and even tried getting back to work after dealing with the situation, she claims she was terminated.

She’s supposedly seeking a minimum payment of $500,000 from the “Lollipop” rapper for the wrongdoing.

Prior to the news of the legal situation, Wayne was recently seen in good spirits, as he usually is.

During his appearance on ESPN for Monday Night Football last night (December 19), he reacted to Eli Manning’s rapping skills.

After playing the hip-hop legend a humorous video of his remix of Fivio Foreign’s “1 On 3,” he was all smiles. “I didn’t know what was going on. I saw the Cuban around your neck. I’m glad I actually saw a video of what that was all about. But you killed it. You killed it. Yeah, you killed that,” he tells Manning.

Diddy Sued By Woman Who Claims To Be Kim Porter’s Niece: Report

A strange report has emerged this week and it shows that Sean “Diddy” Combs is being targeted in a lawsuit. This isn’t just any bit of litigation; the person taking to Diddy to court is only known by “Jane Roe” in documents, stated TMZ, but in a follow-up, a “source” claimed the woman wasn’t telling the truth.

Today (September 27), the outlet reported that Roe alleged she is a relative of Kim Porter‘s who worked for the mogul as a live-in nanny.

Porter, who unexpectedly passed away in November 2018, was Diddy’s ex and mother to three of his children. Roe—who stated that she is the late mom of four’s niece—suggested that the day after Porter passed, Diddy asked her if she could move in and become a full-time, around-the-clock nanny to his twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie James.

It was in August 2020, nearly two years after Porter’s death, that Roe claimed she told Diddy she was pregnant and asked for maternity leave. When the time came for her to temporarily leave her position, Roe alleged that Diddy was angered and fired her. She claimed that because she was with child but unmarried, he said it “set a bad example” for his kids.

After their story went viral, TMZ returned to say that a “source” told them the woman was not Porter’s niece, nor was she terminated because she was expecting.
