Post Malone & Quavo Perform “Congratulations” At Rolling Loud

Post Malone brought out Quavo for a performance of their iconic collaboration, “Congratulations,” at Rolling Loud in California on Saturday night. Malone was the headliner for the third night of the festival. Earlier in the festival, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign kicked things off as headliners for a controversial set on Thursday night, while Nicki Minaj took over the event on Friday night. The festivities will continue Sunday with Future and Metro Boomin headlining the final night.

Post Malone and Quavo released “Congratulations” back in 2016 as the fifth official single from Malone’s debut studio album, Stoney. The song peaked at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100. The RIAA has since certified it Diamond (11× Platinum).

Post Malone Performs During Rolling Loud

Metro Boomin previously detailed how the collaboration between he two came together during an appearance on the Full Send podcast in 2022. “He called me, and so I came to the studio one day,” Metro said at the time. “The same day, I was supposed to pull up on Quavo, on the same night. So, he called me while I was [working] with Post and said, ‘Where are you? What are you doing?’ So, I pulled Post to the side and said, ‘Man, you ever did a song with Quavo?’ He said, ‘Nah, but that would be dope though.’” Check out a clip of Malone during Rolling Loud below.

It’s been a bumpy road to 2024 Rolling Loud California. From accusations of racist business practices to booking mishaps, the multi-day event was off to a rough start. However, since it kicked off on Thursday, March 14, everything’s been smooth sailing (not counting the Kanye West debacle).

Yesterday (March 16), Post Malone closed out the day with a head-banging set of his biggest hits. As an added bonus, Malone treated the sold-out crowd to a surprise performance of his hit song, “Congratulations,” alongside his collaborator Quavo. The former Migos member crept up onstage to deliver his verse as the audience grew hyped with the instrumental blaring overhead.

Initially released in 2016, “Congratulations” was produced by Metro Boomin and appeared on Malone’s Stoney album. Since it was shared, the record has gone on to earn diamond certification by the RIAA, selling over 14 million copies.

In 2022, during an appearance on the Full Send podcast, Metro revealed that the collaboration wasn’t actually planned but a result of a scheduling conflict.

“He called me, and so I came to the studio one day,” he said. “The same day, I was supposed to pull up on Quavo, on the same night. So, he called me while I was [working] with Post and said, ‘Where are you? What are you doing?’ So, I pulled Post to the side and said, ‘Man, you ever did a song with Quavo?’ He said, ‘Nah, but that would be dope though.’”

Years later, the song continues to rack up massive streaming numbers.

Cardi B Congratulates Offset On The Success Of “SET IT OFF,” Hints That Her Album Is Coming: “MY TURN”

Cardi B had every reason to celebrate recently. Just a little bit ago her man, Offset, reached near the top of the Billboard with his sophomore follow-up, SET IT OFF. After 70,000 in total sales, the Georgia rapper notched the number five spot on the 200 chart. It is an impressive feat as now both of his albums have had top-five debuts. Cardi could not contain her happiness and pride in her significant other’s success. She hopped on Twitter to congratulate Offset. You can see the post below. AllHipHop caught wind of the shout out.

She says, “So proud of my baby!! Going against all odds… leaving his label, starting fresh, staying focused determined and not letting nothing break him… he did that! [red heart emoji] MY TURN.” While it great to see the overwhelming support, the more juicy part of that tweet are those last two words in all caps. Considering the context of the tweet, Cardi B is seemingly referring to it being her turn to drop her sophomore tape.

Cardi B Seemingly Claims A New Project Is On The Way

This comes as a little bit of a surprise after her recent spat with some negative commenters. However, the New York rapper recently explained why she reacted the way she did. She was paying too much attention to all of the harsh statements and it eventually got to her, causing her to lash out. She never truly apologized for the death threats but it is better that she gave some background of what was going on personally.

Nicki Minaj Congratulates Lil Wayne For His BMI Icon Award: “Genius & Leader”

Another appreciative message related to this award, however, thanks its honoree for his hard work and impact on the game. None other than Nicki Minaj, one of the New Orleans legend’s protégés, expressed her gratitude in a video. “Where do I begin?” the Queen began. “You know what, I just wanna say, I so greatly appreciate your contributions that you have made to the culture of rap. Thank you for all of the inspiring things you’ve said to me personally to make me want to go super duper hard. Thank you for just always being the genius you are and the leader you are.”

Moreover, Tunechi recently released the track “Kat Food,” which hopefully hints at Tha Carter VI arriving soon as he had teased. Whether it ends up shaping out remains to be seen, and we know that releasing Carters is sometimes easier said than done for the 40-year-old. Nicki Minaj Congratulates Chrisean Rock On Her Newborn Child

After all of the various headlines surrounding Chrisean Rock, Blueface, and her pregnancy, the baby is finally here. Rock went into labor over the weekend and gave birth on Sunday, September 3. The TV star announced that she was going to be having a baby boy and we now also know the name of the child. Rock decided to name her newborn after her, Chrisean Malone. Interestingly, but not surprisingly, Blueface was not in attendance during the delivery. At first, reports came out that the rapper was in Miami partying with his first baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis.

While that is true, a few hours ago news broke out that Chrisean Rock did not want him to be there to begin with. “I simply ain’t invite him I went to my city to have my child,” Chrisean Rock said on Twitter. The brand-new mother seems to be trying to move on from Blueface and their tumultuous relationship and looking to provide the world to her son. There is another side story to this saga, but at least this time its more heartwarming.

Blueface Congratulates Chrisean Rock For Her “Blueface Baby” On “Crazy In Love”

Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s baby will be born soon, and as volatile of a ride as it’s been to get here, they seem to be in a better place. Moreover, the two’s seemingly slowly healing relationship is coinciding with the rapper finding out that he’s the father of her child on their reality TV series, “Crazy In Love,” which was filmed before their current state. Of course, he fought against these claims a lot, which fans probably remember. However, now these totally coincidental and not planned-out instances of amicability painted a picture of acceptance as a father. Still, that’s not to say that the California MC isn’t prone to cracking a joke, two, or three while teasing his then-boo.

“Well, you was right,” he said in a clip from the TV show’s newest episode. “Congratulations on having a Blueface baby.” Unfortunately, Chrisean Rock didn’t catch the cue and said “Yeah, aight!” right after that phrase. Regardless, she did correct that it’s their baby, not his, and they argued a little bit about his not-so-well-received romantic gestures. Since then, the couple got into some more fights, disagreements, and viral feuds surrounding the pregnancy which we’re still seeing play out.

For example, in another clip from the show, Chrisean Rock talks about how she feels independent in this stage of her life. Even though back and forths with Blueface still pop up commonly, she also took it upon herself to expand her circle and put herself out there more. All we can hope for is that they mostly let bygones be bygones for the sake of their child when they’re welcomed into the world. If nothing else, we already have “Crazy In Love”; we don’t need more real-life drama to distract us from our screens.

Meanwhile, the “BDD” MC recently received a cosign from Saucy Santana- or rather, Santana cosigned his other baby mama, Jaidyn Alexis. Drake is being trolled on Twitter for his congratulations message for LeBron James as the NBA legend surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. James ended Tuesday night with 38,390 career points. James needed 36 points entering the game to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record. He finished with 38. The feat wasn’t enough to carry the Lakers to a win, as they lost 133-130 to the Thunder.

The video, which also features Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Rihanna, and Kendrick Lamar, played on NBA on TNT after James accomplished the feat. “LeBron, what a legendary night in NBA history,” Drake starts the clip. “You’re breaking the all-time scoring record, and to honor that, I had to come back to the place it all started: Akron, Ohio. Every journey has it’s beginning, and tonight — ” From there, the background is revealed to be a green screen. Drake is actually still in a nightclub in Miami. “I lied,” Drake admits. “I lied to you. I’m actually still at the club in Miami…congrats, brother. Sorry, sorry.”

Drake’s Message For LeBron

In response to the accomplishment, James thanked everyone for their support and kind words. “Thank you so much. All your help, all your passion, all your sacrifices that helped me get to this point. To the NBA, to Adam Silver, to the late great David Stern, I thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of something I’ve always dreamed about. And I would never, ever in a million years dreamt this any better than what it’s been tonight. So… Fuck man, thank you guys.” He finished the night with 38 points along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

As for the reactions from fans, many labeled Drake’s video “cringe.” “Drake looks like the teacher at school that the kids called by his first name,” one user joked. Another wrote, “Smh bro recorded the corniest video for one of the greatest accomplishments we will ever see in sports.” Others defended Drake’s effort: “To everyone on here saying he’s embarrassing ….
