Lil Wayne Cancels Atlanta Concert Less Than 24 Hours Before, Fans React

Lil Wayne unfortunately disappointed his Atlanta fans on Saturday (April 22) when he announced he had to cancel that tour stop due to unforeseen circumstances. Moreover, Weezy is currently on his “Welcome To Tha Carter” tour, which received much critical and fan acclaim up until this point. No doubt the trek will continue to please fans young and old, but it’s always a sting when this occurs to a live show. While many fans expressed understandable disappointment and anger, the rap legend’s message did give some hope to the city. In his statement, he hinted towards the solution he and his team are seeking.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances we have to reschedule the Atlanta show tomorrow,” Lil Wayne posted on social media. “I apologize to my fans, but I kan’t wait to turn up with y’all soon. Luv ATL.” Furthermore, this would’ve been the Young Money boss’s 14th tour stop out of a total of 28, and the trek is scheduled to end in Los Angeles, California on May 13. Hopefully more exciting live performances in the future don’t see the same fate, although the more important hope is that Tunechi is doing well and healthy throughout these dates.

Lil Wayne Cancels Atlanta Show

Cancelling live shows can be very scary for artists, but sometimes they have to happen due to scarier circumstances. For example, Desiigner recently canceled all his upcoming concert dates to focus on his mental health, which reportedly took a nosedive. The rapper exposed himself on a plane, and the reaction grew much more sympathetic following his emotional message. With these situations in mind, fans hope that Lil Wayne is above all having a good and fulfilling time during this tour, free of health issues or other circumstances that can seriously impede his trek.

Fortunately, those who missed the Atlanta show or the tour in general have a lot of the “Let The Beat Build” MC to enjoy these days. Not only did he kickstart the campaign for Tha Carter VI with “Kant Nobody” featuring DMX, but he also appeared on Swizz Beatz’s Hip Hop 50: Vol. 2 EP. Still, a lot of fans were disappointed, and you can see the extent of their reactions down below. For the latest greatness from Lil Wayne and the rest of his tour, stick around on HNHH.

21 Savage Surprises Fans During Young Nudy’s Atlanta Concert

Family ties can lead to incredible artistic chemistry, and there are fewer better examples of that than cousins Young Nudy and 21 Savage. Moreover, Nudy just invited 21 to join him during his Atlanta concert, his final homecoming tour stop for his 2023 dates. Unsurprisingly, the crowd went absolutely ballistic when 21 Savage graced the stage, and they performed the track “Peaches & Eggplants” to a wild group of fans. If you’re looking for more from the East Atlanta trap star, he recently released his latest food-themed album Gumbo, where he delivers high-quality cuts while tapping into his inner MF DOOM.

When it comes to the Her Loss‘s guest appearances as of late, they’ve been nothing short of energizing and impactful. The weekend before linking up with Young Nudy, 21 Savage appeared during Metro Boomin’s fantastic set at Coachella. Sure, they played some of 21’s contributions to his latest album HEROES & VILLAINS, but also went through their extensive and iconic collaborative history. Whether it was “X,” “Runnin’,” or “Bank Account,” the MC-producer duo ripped through the festival grounds like a hulking beast- or like The Hulk, considering Metro’s comic book-inspired presentation.

Young Nudy & 21 Savage Serve Atlanta Crowd “Peaches & Eggplants”

What’s more is that other artists recently took note of Young Nudy and 21 Savage’s chemistry, with one artist in particular remixing one of their team-ups’ instrumentals. None other than Lil Yachty took a shot at the duo’s “EA” in a snippet he shared while on Kai Cenat’s stream. Over the menacing instrumental, Yachty floats with off-kilter flows and consistent switch-ups that make his relaxed delivery feel more potent. Hopefully the remix lands sooner rather than later, as it would mark one of the only times that the 2016 XXL Freshmen officially collaborate on a song.

Regardless of that, Young Nudy will likely continue to deliver on the colorful yet still grimy aesthetics that he’s graced fans with so far. Another standout project from him is EA Monster, which he dropped last August to a lot of fan acclaim. It seems like no matter the occasion or the context, a Nudy and 21 joint never misses. Jay-Z Performs “N***as In Paris” In Paris To A Wild Crowd

Jay-Z’s surprise concert with Louis Vuitton in Paris to celebrate the work of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat just wrapped up, and the clips look absolutely insane. With just two days of anticipation, Hov let fans know that he was returning to the stage, and brought an insane tracklist to boot. Not only did it span his entire catalog (shout out to the fellow “Can I Live” fans out there), but it made for meta gold. Of course “N***as In Paris” in Paris was an absolute smasher, with the crowd screaming every lyric back at the New York legend.

The auditorium presumably fits up to 1,000 people, but the energy might as well have come from a whole stadium of fans. Also, he played tracks like “Can’t Knock The Hustle,” “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),” “Oceans,” and “Encore.” Last we heard from Jay on the stage was at this year’s Grammys, where he performed the track “GOD DID,” and his fantastic verse on it wowed audiences. “I thought about it, I was in my head and I just broke down and said, ‘You know, it’s a four-minute verse.’ Again, for the culture, for Hip Hop, we got to do that,” he said in a TIDAL interview.

Jay-Z Gives The Crowd In Paris A Fantastic Show

“This ain’t your traditional song,” the 53-year-old continued. “It’s not your traditional structure of what you think a song that would be nominated for Song of the Year would sound like. It’s not what you expect. And for the culture and for Hip Hop, we got to do that. We owe that. This thing that changed our lives. We got to do that. A four-minute verse performed at the Grammys. We owe it to the culture, and it ain’t even a burden. It’s a blessing. It’s easy and fun.” Check out the tracklist from Jay’s Paris performance down below, plus some other clips. As always, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates from Jay-Z.

Jay-Z Announces Surprise Celebration Concert In Paris

It’s a rarity to see Jay-Z on stage these days, though it’s not impossible. The Brooklyn-bred rapper has clearly put more effort towards building his empire rather than recording in the five years since releasing 4:44. Still, he hasn’t left fans empty-handed, providing an influx of features and dishing out a collab project with Beyoncé and Jay Electronica (unofficially). Seldom does he appear on stage but it seems like fans (particularly the wealthy ones) could have the opportunity to see him in the flesh.

Foundation Louis Vuitton announced that Jay-Z will perform an incredibly intimate show this Friday to help roll out the Basquiat x Warhol Painting Four Hands exhibition. The concert takes place this Friday, April 14th in Paris for a “celebratory concert to pay tribute to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat,” per the website. Hov will take the stage at Foundation Lous Vuitton’s Auditorium, which hosts a capacity of 320 to 1000 spectators at a time. Tickets go for €140 ($153.81 USD) and the show begins at 9 p.m.

Jay-Z Hits The Stage

The upcoming show will mark Jay-Z’s first performance in Paris since the On The Run II tour with Beyoncé in 2018. However, Hov’s performance is among the many events coinciding with the Basquiat X Warhol exhibit, which launched on April 4th. The exhibit runs until August 28th and will include a plethora of parties and various events celebrating the two artists. Perhaps, they’ll have even more major performances in store but there’s no doubt that Jay will bless fans with an incredible show filled with his greatest hits. Hopefully, he’ll play a few deep cuts.

The rapper’s rarely appeared on stage in recent times, though his upcoming show in Paris wouldn’t mark his first performance of the year. In February, he appeared alongside Rick Ross and Lil Wayne for DJ Khaled’s extravagant performance of “God Did” at the 2023 Grammy Awards. The song also earned Jay-Z two nominations at the award show this year, bringing him to 84 total nods throughout his career. Hopefully, Jay-Z will has more shows in store for the remainder of 2023. Check out the announcement above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Monica Stops Fight At Her Concert: Video

Monica does not want you fighting at her shows, especially not when she’s singing a love song. The Grammy-winning icon had to shut down an altercation between two fans at her show on April 1 in D.C. She was in the middle of singing her acclaimed 1995 ballad “Why I Love You So Much” when the spat broke out. It appears that she didn’t realize what was happening at first, but it soon became impossible to ignore. Unfortunately for patrons who were simply there to enjoy the show, Monica had to stop the song to say something to the two women.

After signaling to the DJ to stop the backing track, the singer spoke directly to the concertgoers involved. “Come on now, I’m singing a love song. I ain’t singing ‘Knuck If You Buck,’ baby, calm that shit down.” However, not even Monica could get the two to stop, and their confrontation continued. In an attempt to return peace to the crowd, the R&B icon tried to do one of the women involved a solid. “Somebody take her, get her a drink on me. Calm down,” she said.

Monica Has Feuding Fans Removed

After Monica couldn’t stop the conflict between the fans, she had to tell security to remove them. The other audience members appeared pleased as the mood killers were escorted from the venue. While they left, the singer dedicated a performance of her 2003 single “So Gone” to the women. As it turns out, Monica herself is no stranger to physical altercations. During a now infamous performance of their 1998 single, “The Boy Is Mine,” she and Brandy seemed extremely tense.

It was noticeable at the time, and it seems even more obvious watching it now. Especially considering we know that Monica had punched Brandy in the face directly before the two performed. It’s a piece of pop culture history that is now the stuff of legend. Luckily, the pair have since quashed their beef, and have even gone on to show each other love. What do you think about the altercation in the video? Was it was serious enough to warrant tossing the fans out? Let us know in the comments.

Sister Of Stampede Victim At GloRilla Show Plans To Sue

The sister of one of the victims of the stampede at a GloRilla concert in New York, last month, intends to sue, according to Billboard. Ronisha Huston’s attorneys detailed their case to the outlet, claiming that their client suffered “emotional distress and needs access to video footage, emergency plans, and other key information.”

The court filing from Tuesday notes that Huston is the sister of Rhondesia Belton. Belton is one of three people who died at the show. “Petitioner Ronisha Huston and her now-deceased sister, Rhondesia Belton, got caught up in the crowd surge,” Huston’s team shared. “Huston witnessed her sister getting crushed in the stampede.” They filed the document in court as a “petition for pre-action discovery.” The legal team says they were retained to “pursue claims for personal injuries and infliction of emotion[al] distress” and that Huston has a “meritorious” case.

Huston and her team are looking to obtain a series of information from Main Street Armory. This includes “the security firms involved, video footage of the entire concert, fire exit and emergency plans, floor plans, regulatory permits, and communications with private entities involved with the concert.”

The stampede occurred at the conclusion of GloRilla’s show after the crowd heard what they believed to be gunshots. Belton and Brandy Miller died from injuries they sustained that same night. Additionally, a third woman, Aisha Stephens, died a few days later. GloRilla released a statement on Twitter following the announcement of the deaths. GloRilla began by calling the deaths “tragic.” From there, she further wrote: “My fans mean the world to me praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected.” The case comes less than two years after the deadly crowd surge during a Travis Scott concert. That incident later resulted in hundreds of similar lawsuits, although there were far more than victims at Astroworld. Check out GloRilla’s statement on the tragic incident on Twitter below.

Mod Sun Thanks Fans For Saving His Life Amid Avril Lavigne Split

Mod Sun thanked his fans for saving his life on stage at a recent concert, citing their support amid his split from Avril Lavigne. At one recent show, the crowd chanted “Fuck Tyga.” Lavigne has gone out on multiple dates with Tyga in the time since her breakup with Mod Sun.

“Ya’ll fucking saved my goddamn life for the last six weeks,” Mod Sun said onstage in a video published by TMZ. “If any of y’all are going through some shit right now, whether it be heartbreak, depression, addiction, anxiety, maybe you just have a negative voice in your head right now, I want you to know the one thing I have learned in the last almost four years: Do not be afraid to ask for help. So, thank you for helping me. It’s time for a new chapter.”

Lauryn Hill Celebrates 25 Years Of “Miseducation” With Special Show

It’s been 25 years since Lauryn Hill released her iconic debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. In the time since its release, Hill has not released another studio album. However, her continued relevance and reverence in the industry speaks volumes about the quality of work put into her debut. Hill spoke of the pressures that came with releasing a sophomore album as the reason for never doing so. Still, Hill does frequently collaborate with other artists and plays live shows. Now, to commemorate 25 years of her album, she plans to play a special show in D.C.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was a groundbreaking album when Lauryn Hill released it in 1998. The album blends elements of hip-hop, soul, and R&B. It is widely regarded as a masterpiece and a landmark in the history of music. It features powerful and introspective lyrics that touch on issues of love, spirituality, and social injustice. The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching the top of the charts and winning numerous accolades, including five Grammy Awards, making Hill the first female artist to win that many in one night. The album’s impact has been felt across multiple genres and has influenced countless artists in the years since its release. It remains a timeless classic and a testament to Hill’s talent and artistry.

Lauryn Hill’s “Miseducation” Celebration

In a tweet, Lauryn Hill announced a show in celebration of the quarter century that has passed since her debut album’s release. The concert will take place on June 9 at the Wolf Trap National Park For the Performing Arts in Virginia. This is not the only show that Lauryn Hill has planned, however. She is also headlining the 2023 Essence Festival alongside Megan Thee Stallion, where she will also be performing her debut album in full.

During her career, Lauryn Hill has greatly impacted the music industry with her artistry. She has produced timeless music that has influenced countless others both as a member of the Fugees and as a solo artist. Her lyrics frequently touch on important social topics like sexism, racism, and poverty. Furthermore, she is renowned for breaking down barriers for women and people of color in the music business. To this day, she continues to be a significant figure in the industry and has cleared the way for many artists to follow in her footsteps.

Megan Thee Stallion & Mariah Carey Are 2023 Pride In The Park Headliners

Megan Thee Stallion and Mariah Carey are the latest icons to headline the stage at the Los Angeles-based Pride Month concert. An annual staple, Pride in the Park includes a range of live shows. Musicians, artists, and other entertainers all show up to entertain attendees. Sadly, the event was canceled two years in a row due to the COVID pandemic. In 2022, the celebration made its triumphant return to LA State Historic Park. It featured performances from artists like Christina Aguilera and Anitta. This year promises to be no less exciting with headliners like Meg and Mariah. Both artists have rabid fanbases and a large presence in the LGBTQ+ community.

Mariah has not been the subject of much drama recently, but Megan Thee Stallion has certainly been making headlines. She has recently been embroiled in a highly publicized legal battle against Tory Lanez. In 2020, she accused Lanez of shooting her in the foot. The two had been leaving a party together and got into an altercation, resulting in the injury. It was a long road for Meg, but it was worth it. As of December, a jury found Lanez guilty of the crime. Subsequently, he has now filed a motion for retrial. If the original verdict is upheld, Lanez will be looking at 22 years of prison time. He will also face deportation to his home country of Canada once his sentence has been served. The outcome is still unknown, but Meg is already moving on. She has announced that she is working on new music and now has several large headlining gigs lined up.

Mariah And Meg Pay Tribute To LGBTQ+ Fans

Both Mariah and Megan took to social media to announce their co-headlining gig. They expressed excitement about the opportunity to perform, acknowledging their fans in the community in the process. “I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of LA Pride 2023,” Mariah said on her Instagram. “I am happy to be back in-person celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community here in Southern California and throughout all of the lands!!!” Meg also made a statement expressing her appreciation of the event’s inclusivity and diversity. “I can’t wait to headline LA Pride in the Park and celebrate the phenomenal LGBTQIA+ community,” said Meg. “This incredible event advocates diversity, inclusivity, and equality, so I’m honored to perform and have a blast with all of the Hotties in attendance.”

Both artists seem to be in good places in their lives, respectively. Mariah recently celebrated her 54th birthday on vacation with her boyfriend and her kids. She was beaming in videos and pictures posted to her Instagram, where she showed love to her fans and family. In Megan’s case, her comeback is in full effect after she took a small hiatus during the court case against Lanez. Though the battle is ongoing, the December verdict was a huge win for her. What better way to celebrate than performing at Pride?
