Drake and 21 S*vage have had no shortage of superstars arrive as special guests for their “It’s All A Blur” tour. Moreover, for their trek of shows in California, the Los Angeles crowd went absolutely ballistic for the latest duo to accompany the 6 God to the stage. None other than LeBron James of the Lakers and his son Bronny accompanied the OVO mogul as he went down the stairs and through rows of adoring fans on his way to the stage. What’s more is that he even took the time to sign a fan’s copy of his poetry book on the way. With two titans of their respective fields in the same room, you can imagine how electric the energy was.

Furthermore, it seems like the NBA superstar and his family actually really enjoy a good concert or two. Recently, LeBron James was spotted at a Brent Faiyaz show having a vibey and chilled-out time, so a show like Drake and 21’s must make for a more mood-mixing experience. After all, the 36-year-old has as many soft jams as he does bangers in his discography. If nothing else, this is another point of the long board of the two’s history together as solid comrades and good friends.

Meanwhile, it’s quite interesting to see how the two’s career trajectories yielded similar paths. Both are at the top of their games, amassing a heap of haters and doubters amid heaps upon heaps of supporters. In addition, they’re both in places where they should be closing up shop soon, but seem far from doing so. Snoop Dogg’s Houston Concert Attendees Suffer Heat Illnesses, In Stable Condition

A recent show in Houston held by Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa unfortunately turned hectic as the weather proved to be more impactful than expected. Moreover, as temperature reached triple digits in Fahrenheit, 16 attendees at Saturday’s show (August 19) went to the hospital. Specifically, this was due to heat-related illnesses, although according to HipHopDX, no one sustained serious injures and the medical facility discharged them all after recovery. Before this, the Atascocita Fire Department informed social media that they would respond to affected concert-goers amid the intense heat.

“Atascocita First Responders and the @SETRAC_TX AMBUS (MPV601) headed to the Woodlands Pavilion to assist with overheated concert attendees at the @SnoopDogg concert,” they tweeted. “We got your back Snoop!” Furthermore, it seems like this response was as swift as necessary and possible, and it likely prevented this from becoming a larger problem. Unfortunately, weather will always impact concerts, especially outside ones, and it’s something that many artists and fans might not think about all the time. Hopefully future shows from Tha Doggfather don’t suffer this conditions or at least have the mechanisms for another quick response like this.

However, this adds to an unfortunate string of bad luck for Snoop Dogg when it comes to live shows. Still, this is for the right reasons, so there’s at least something to take away. The legendary West Coast rapper canceled his dates at the Hollywood Bowl with Dr. Dre as a way of showing solidarity with the writer’s strike. “We regret to inform you that due to the ongoing strike and the uncertainty when this will be over, we need to cancel the Hollywood Bowl show,” he announced via Instagram.

“We stand in solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters in the WGA and SAG-AFTRA during this difficult time and remain hopeful that the AMPTP will come back to the negotiating table with a REAL proposal and we can all get back to work,” it concluded. Reactions to this were somewhat split, but mostly appreciative and understanding of the Long Beach MC’s decision. There are larger fights to tackle than tour profit, and fortunately these heat conditions weren’t overshadowed by the live performance. Moneybagg Yo’s Concert Ends Early After Fire Marshals Step In

Moneybagg announced his Larger Than Life tour early this summer in June. His running mates that are with him are Finesse2tymes, Sexxy Red, Luh Tyler, Big Boogie, and YTB FATT. Unfortunately, the shows are not going according to plan for the Memphis, Tennessee rapper. Fans have certainly dealt with a rollercoaster of emotions because a handful of Moneybagg’s shows were nixed. The issue behind it all was low ticket sales.

Fans were extremely upset and for good reason. The reason is that some of the announcements were about shows during the same week. The ones that were talked about on Twitter were Orlando and Philadelphia. However, some fans were blaming the face of the tour for various reasons. Someone said, “these street rappers got no substance in they music. nobody tryn see them walk back and forth in stage for an hour.” The person believes Moneybagg Yo for thinking he is a bigger artist than the name of his tour claims he is.

But this time that is not the case, as his most recent show was canceled on sight. DJ Akademiks posted this video on his Instagram with the caption, “Fire Marshalls shut down Moneybagg Yo’s show due to over capacity.” At least the rapper can say he sells out shows after all? The crowd appears to be overflowing and with the recent tragedy of the Astroworld Festival, it might have been the safe bet to shut it down. Especially because Moneybagg’s concert is indoors, it makes for an even more unsafe environment.

Drake Calls Out Fan’s Girlfriend At Show Who Cheated On Him

For example, he recently greeted a group of hopeful concert attendees who lined up late in the AM to get wristbands to his show, and took pictures and had some laughs with them. Moreover, during the very show that those fans waited for, the 6 God displayed that solidarity with his supporters once more. While performing for his “It’s All A Blur” tour, he noticed a fan who was holding a sign up for most of the show. “My girlfriend cheated on me, she was supposed to be here tonight,” the fan’s sign read.

Then, Drake asked the fan what his ex’s name was, and when he couldn’t hear him say it, he asked him to write it somewhere to get it right. Eventually, the 36-year-old understood that the cheating ex’s name is Scarlett, and had a message. However, he actually didn’t go as hard as he could’ve on her; not that he should’ve, but that’s the energy some people want to give off. “On the count of three, we’re going to say ‘Sorry, Scarlett,’” Drizzy said, and the crowd followed. “Sorry Scarlett, you can’t be cheating on my dog like that,” he concluded.

Of course, it’s not like Drake was going to shout out, “Screw you, Scarlett!” or anything like that; after all, she could be a fan, too. Regardless, it made for quite the funny and oddly heartening moment considering the themes of heartbreak within his music. Still, let’s not pretend that the OVO superstar is immune to cheating himself, or rather, being the side man. Though it’s purely speculative, Kim Kardashian’s recent appearance at one of his shows reignited Kanye West’s allegations that she cheated on him with Drake.

Gossip aside, it’s at least cool to see the Toronto artist interact with fans in a more unique and genuine way than other performers. Drake Surprises Fans Waiting To Get Wristbands For His Show

However, the trek isn’t keeping all of its most special moments restricted to what happens once you walk into the venue. Moreover, a group of fans were waiting deep into the night and almost into the next morning on Friday (August 18) to get wristbands for Saturday’s San Francisco show. Said bands grant access to a special standing area. Thanks to new social media clips from this incredibly lucky group, we now see how much the 6 God appreciates their support.

Furthermore, Drake emerged from a black SUV to say hi to these folks, who all expressed shock and awe. They took pictures together and even got into some friendly banter after overcoming the sheer surprise. In fact, the OVO mogul remarked that he lost his voice, but promised it would be back by the time the show started. “You better have it for tomorrow,” a fan told him, and he assured her that he would with a hug.

Kevin Durant Seen Blazing And Vibing At Drake Concert

Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant hit up the It’s All a Blur tour this week, catching Drake during his stint at the KIA Forum in Inglewood. However, he was also spotted lighting up and enjoying something rolled while taking in the show. It’s unclear what it was specifically, but there’s one pretty good bet given Durant’s vocal cannabis advocacy. Durant was recently integral to the efforts to get cannabis and its related forms removed from the NBA’s banned substances list.

It’s actually the second time that Durant has made an appearance on the tour. Last month, Durant walked Drake out alongside Lamar Jackson during a concert in Baltimore. Of course, this appearance had many people worried that the Drake curse would be back in force this season. It’s a pivotal season for both the Ravens and Suns. With so much on the line, neither team is likely looking to be struck down by the Canadian rapper’s passive ability to doom the sports franchises that he backs. It was announced earlier this week that Durant’s 2023-24 season would begin against the Warriors on the NBA’s opening night. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson begins his 2023 season on September 10 against the Texans.

Kevin Durant Continues Hip-Hop Involvement

Appearing at, and as part of, Drake’s tour is just Durant’s latest involvement in the world of Hip-Hop. Durant, through his media company Boardroom, played a major part in announcing this year’s RapCaviar award winners. As part of that process, Durant made up-and-coming British rapper Central Cee as his Rookie of the Year. The award was eventually won by Destroy Lonely.

“I love the opportunity to bring the sports and Hip Hop worlds together, and getting to bring Boardroom into the mix with this year’s All-RapCaviar campaign was a no-brainer,” Durant said about his involvement in the process. Beyond hip-hop, Durant also expressed an interest in sports ownership once his career is over. More specifically, the 2014 MVP said that he wanted to be part of the process that would bring the NBA back to Seattle. Durant played his rookie year for the SuperSonics before the team was controversially moved to Oklahoma City.

One of the more viral moments early on the tour was when someone threw her surprisingly large bra on stage. The reaction from Drake himself and the resulting search for the woman made viral news for weeks following the event. Since then fans have doubled down with the rapper often seeing bras thrown on stage and even making jokes about it himself.

But at a recent show, Drake got a gift thrown on stage that stopped him in his tracks. The astronomically large bra had the rapper cracking up on stage and quickly realizing it was a joke. Fat Joe Reflects On Hip-Hop 50 Live Concert: “It’s Like Heaven”

Fat Joe says that performing at the Hip-Hop 50 Live concert at Yankee Stadium “felt like heaven.” He discussed the star-studded show with AllHipHop. The event also welcomed appearances from Run-DMC, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Slick Rick, EPMD, as well as several Wu-Tang Clan members, and even more artists.

“It’s unbelievable, it’s unreal,” Fat Joe told AllHipHop. “It’s like heaven. You died and woke up in heaven. What was best about [the event] was young boys with they own speakers outside it. [They were outside] Yankee Stadium rapping, freestyling. Then you had bands out there playing … We in the middle of the street having fun.”

Not everyone has had such a positive response to the recent Hip-Hop 50 celebrations. Uncle Luke, for one, complained on social media about a lack of recognition for fellow Florida rappers at the events. He argued that he’s dealt with “disrespect towards Florida hip-hop” for years.

During an appearance on the AllHipHop podcast, Geto Boys rapper Willie D also took a negative opinion on the vents. He e explained: “Shit’s wack. Because a lot of it is being put on and presented by gatekeepers who don’t have the best interest of the culture at heart. And it’s a money grab for them. They’re picking and choosing who they think should receive praise, who should receive accolades.”

The Game Throws Back Fan’s Bra On Stage: “I Don’t Be Doing No Tricking!”

The Game was not having it when a fan tried throwing their bra on stage during one of his recent concerts. In a clip circulating on social media, The Game stops his performance as a woman throws her large red bra on stage.

From there, he brings up fans doing similar antics with Drake before making it abundantly clear he won’t be having any of it. “I don’t be doing no tricking!!!” The Game told the audience as he threw the bra back into the crowd.

Over the weekend, Drake actually asked his fans to stop throwing bras on stage out of respect for his son, Adonis. “Look, to be honest with you, I can’t talk about titties tonight in L.A. because my son is at the show for the first time,” Drake said on stage. “So we’ve got to keep this real PG tonight. The comments came after Drake recently made headlines for his reaction to seeing a particularly large bra be flung at him on stage. “36G?” he said excitedly. “Locate this woman immediately.” Eventually, Drake did locate the woman, who ended up being Veronica Correia out of Rhode Island. Correia later confirmed that Drake reached out to her via Instagram DM while on the Club Ambition podcast. “He slid up on a [Instagram] Story and laughed at one, simply sent a laughing face. And I took a day or two to respond because I just didn’t know what to say,” Correia said. “So I just liked it, and then I left him for like a day. Then I wrote out this paragraph, basically thanking him for the experience, an awesome show, and then I told him I own the coffee shop in Cumberland and asked if he liked coffee and how he likes it.” Drake went on to share some words of advice for the woman.
