Kanye West Explains How Drake And JAY-Z Are “The Greatest Ever” In Different Ways

Kanye West labeled Drake and JAY-Z the two greatest rappers ever during an interview with Candace Owens from 2022 that resurfaced on Wednesday. In making his point, he suggested that the numbers indicate that Drake is the most successful ever, but there’s something to be said about the influence Jay had on the culture.

“Drake is the best rapper ever by the numbers. JAY-Z is the greatest rapper ever by the inspiration,” Ye remarked. Owens agreed with his take, adding: “He was smart. He was talking business but you either got it or you didn’t. He was telling you the code.”

As the clip circulated online, users on X (formerly Twitter) debated the idea. One wrote: “About Drake his right [shrug emoji] no one can deny his numbers but Lil Wayne is bigger than Jay Z in terms of inspiration.” Another countered: “Eminem is the greatest rapper by the numbers. The best is Lil Wayne. The most consistent commercial success goes to Drake.” One more brought up the praise Donald Trump recently gave to West, labeling him a “really nice guy,” but “complicated. “Kanye is selfless to put others before him, I think this is the good heart he got says by Trump,” they wrote. Other users referenced Drake’s recent feud with Kendrick Lamar.

50 Cent Compared To Tyler Perry On Social Media Due To This Hilarious Link

50 Cent recently opened up his G-Unit Film & Television studio in Shreveport, Louisiana, which obviously resulted in a lot of fanfare and celebration. Moreover, reports from XXL suggest that the 956,000-square-foot property became the second-largest Black-owned production studio in the world, right behind Tyler Perry’s titular studio in Atlanta, which he launched in 2019. In fact, the lot is the biggest studio in the U.S. and the first one with African American ownership. As such, people online started to compare Fif to being the “male” version of Perry, cheekily referencing the entertainment mogul’s role as Madea in a host of popular media.

Furthermore, 50 Cent seemed very appreciative and excited, especially at the ceremony at the city’s Government Plaza where he signed a symbolic a lease to open the studio and got the key to the city. In fact, the Queens rapper also commented on Mayor Tom Arceneaux, who was there to honor him as well, in an Instagram post commemorating the occasion. “Mayor Tom Arceneaux really cares about people,” he wrote as the post’s caption, which included pictures of them at the event. “I talked to him today I was really impressed with his energy. I usually be like [eyes emoji] wait a minute, when politicians are involved but I think he is a whole good guy. WTF.”

50 Cent Celebrates The Launch Of G-Unit Studios In Louisiana

Elsewhere on social media, the “21 Questions” rapper has just been relentlessly trolling Diddy amid his sex crimes allegations, so it’s nice to see this change of pace. We’ll have to see what these new G-Unit studios result in as far as media projects. With series under the production company’s affiliate belt like Power and BMF, we can only expect similar greatness moving forward with this expansion. Maybe Tyler Perry will collaborate with 50 Cent someday. Regardless, check out how folks compared these icons on Twitter down below.

Fans Compare Fif To Tyler Perry

Meanwhile, Perry was recently in some one-sided feuding with Mo’Nique amid the comedy world drama that kicked this year off with a bang. Perhaps we’ll never know what really came of all this, but it’s still a hot topic of conversation. G-Unit’s got one heck of a documentary to produce if they ever wanted to give that a shot. Nevertheless, for more news and the latest updates on 50 Cent and Tyler Perry, keep checking in with HNHH.

Kash Doll Announces New Stage Name Amid Pregnancy & Comparisons

Kash Doll is undergoing some major changes these days, and has announced that a name change will be one of them. During a recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the performer revealed that she plans to rebrand. According to her, getting pregnant with her second child is what prompted her desire to change her stage moniker, as she’s now looking for something a bit more sophisticated. She also notes the various other “dolls” in the industry and the unavoidable comparisons that come along with her current name.

“I’m juggling between a few things,” she explained, revealing the title she was considering for her next album. “I was going to say The Last Doll, and it means so much, right? Like I think I’ma leave the ‘doll’ stuff alone. I think I’m going to give it to my child — hopefully it’s a girl. I’ma go ahead and pass that down.”

Kash Doll Reveals She’ll Now Go By Keisha

When asked what she plans to go by in the future, she responded with her birth name. “Keisha,” she said. “I’m a grown woman with two kids — I don’t want to be called a doll no more. And then it’s so many dolls. Shout out to them, y’know what I’m saying, but it’s like every time my name is brought up, it’s like, ‘Who’s the best doll?’” Of course, most commenters are in full support of the switch and would root for the artist regardless of what she went by. Others are sad to see her step away from the title and note that they’ll continue to call her what they know her as.

What do you think of Kash Doll revealing that she’s changing her stage name? Do you prefer Keisha over Kash Doll or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kodak Black Bewilders Fans After Shutting Down Diddy Comparison: “I Even Might K*ll Me A Kid But I Ain’t R*ping”

Diddy’s legal issues are all anyone can talk about right now and it makes sense as to why. Every allegation and lawsuit sent his way have been for serious matters. Sexual harassment, sex trafficking, r*pe, are just a handful of things that the music mogul has been accused of. It eventually led to Homeland Security Investigations to raid both of his properties in Miami and Los Angeles. A few rappers have been linked to the businessman, including Meek Mill, who has been on the wrong side of a lot of jokes. Now, some are throwing in Kodak Black as fans were making the comparison to Diddy over his new look.

According to AllHipHop, Kodak recently went on a live stream with one the biggest names in the space, Adin Ross. During their link up, the Florida rapper read a remark from a viewer that read, “Kodak look like Florida Diddy lmao.” The comparison kind of makes sense, as the hitmaker is now rocking a mustache and goatee, as well as a shorter hairstyle. However, Kodak did not find the comment to be that hilarious and his response back was eye raising.

“B**** you got me f***ed up. No Diddy. Take that Take it. I’ll smack me a elderly b****, I even might k*ll me a kid but I aint r*ping. I mean kill him as a baby, but I ain’t raping. I ain’t doing that,” Black said with a slurred delivery. It seems he was a bit under the influence during that rant, but it did not stop fans from pointing out the obvious red flag. “Am I the only one who caught him saying might even ki.. me a kid!? I’m not tripping,” one fan replied. Kodak has had his fair share of legal problems as well, but this is very alarming to hear, nonetheless.

What are your thoughts on Kodak Black denying Diddy comparisons in this manner? Regardless if he was under the influence or not, why do you think he said this? Does his new look make him look like Diddy to you? How do you see this playing out down the line? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Cam’ron Compares Drake To Michael Jackson: “You Got To Realize The Run He’s On”

Drake is easily one of Cam’ron’s favorite MCs of the contemporary era, something that he will probably never stop defending. Moreover, the Dipset MC recently covered GQ and made some interesting remarks about the 6ix God during his talk with the outlet. “When it’s somebody of Drake’s magnitude, you ought to show love,” he explained. “A lot of people want to criticize and say he’s [too] commercial. He’s the modern-day Michael Jackson that can also rap. You got to realize the type of run he’s on.” While some may not compare The Boy to The King Of Pop, it’s getting harder and harder to argue that the only thing separating their levels of success, influence, and acclaim is their eras.

Of course, they both have reasons as to why folks doubt their legacy as dominant forces in their respective fields. Some of it has to do with the music, and a lot of it has to do with their alleged actions and movement beyond it. Nevertheless, Drake still has a long way to go when it comes to reaching that same level of near-universal praise that MJ has. You may recall a recently fiery debate about whether or not he’s hip-hop, which Yasiin Bey kicked off with a strong argument in favor of the 37-year-old being more of a pop artist.

Drake Is The Modern-Day MJ, Cam’ron Argues

However, what the MC formerly known as Mos Def stated with his thoughts is exactly the reason why folks like Cam’ron praise Drake. He has been able to stay sharp and impressive from a pure hip-hop standpoint, albeit inconsistently, while also reaching pop highs that most other artists in the genre had never been able to get close to. What the New York lyricist is getting at is that the Toronto star’s impact and the doors he’s opened already warrants immediate respect and praise. Whether it’s a perfect fit or not doesn’t matter; he’s too big to not impact every facet of the game.

Meanwhile, Drizzy also reciprocates Killa Cam’s praise often, and you can always count on him to shout out his favorite MCs of then and of now. Would you go as far as to compare him to Michael Jackson? Let us know what you think about all these debates in the comments down below. Kanye West Compares Himself To R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, Jesus & Diddy On “Vultures”

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign held their album listening party for Vultures last night (February 8) at Chicago’s United Center… and of course, it didn’t end up dropping. Who’s really surprised was our first question, but as they previewed more and more tracks, more pressing matters emerged. Moreover, there was a particular track that caught many listeners’ ears, and its title going around social media right now is “Carnival.” In it, the Chicago rapper makes reference to various “canceled” individuals, particularly entertainers accused of sex crimes, and as usual, drops a comparison to Jesus Christ, for good measure. ‘Cause, you know, it’s Kanye.

“Anybody p***ed off, gotta make them drink the urine/ Now, I’m Ye Kelly, b***h/ Now I’m Bill Cosby, b***h/ Now I’m Puff Daddy rich,” Kanye West raps on the previewed song. “That’s ‘Me Too’ me rich/ First she say she suck my d**k/ Then, she say she ain’t suck my d**k/ She ’gon take it up the a** like a ventriloquist/ I mean, since Taylor Swift, since I had the Rollie on the wrist/ I’m the new Jesus, b***h, I turn water into Cris’.”

Kanye West Previews “Carnival” At Vultures Event, “Cancels” Himself

Furthermore, this is alluding to Kanye West’s tendency to rope his personal life and circumstances into his music, whether specifically for his antisemitism or the backlash surrounding it, which is why he mentions movements like #MeToo. Whether or not you’re a fan of this, it’s hardly surprising or notable anymore given everything that’s happened up to this point. Even though this song didn’t drop officially, fans still have some new Ye material to chew on, for better or worse. He and Ty Dolla Sign dropped the “Vultures” music video, plus visuals for “Talking / Once Again.”

Meanwhile, with another listening party in New York tonight (February 9), maybe this is when the album will actually drop. Until then, Vultures seems more like a fleeting idea, performance art concept, or just a dream that we’re still living in. With bars like these, we just hope that there’s another side to the story to keep the balance. For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West, stick around on HNHH.

Rick Ross Compared To This Rapper After Revealing New Album Is On The Way

Over the past several months, Rick Ross has been quite active in dropping new tracks. Of course, the catalyst of this trend is his collaborative record with his MMG (Maybach Music Group) signee, Meek Mill. Too Good To Be True, is full of luxurious bangers. However, the album is not a watermark in Ross’s discography. That is apparent, especially when you look at the lackluster first-week sales numbers.

However, the fact that he is still willing to drop more music regularly is a privilege. Ross continues to prove that he can drop good verses on other artists’ tracks. Go listen to the new 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE and Rich Brian cut “LiGhT rAiLs.” Hopefully, we get more of those performances on the upcoming record he has just announced. In a recent video, Ross says that Champagne Moments is the name of the LP and is in the works.

The Hip-Hop Wolf‘s IG account has numerous comments that say things like, “He doesn’t want to admit it but dude stays copying 50😂” Or, “He thinks he’s 50😂🤡” Of course, Ross and 50 have been going at each other for quite some time. Metro Boomin Says His Next Project Shares Similarities To Kanye West’s “MBDTF”

Metro Boomin is at the pinnacle of his career right now. After dropping to commercially successful records, the producer from St. Louis is pretty much untouchable. HEROES & VILLAINS and the soundtrack for Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse both have some of his best tracks on them. While each project is truly special, the hitmaker is nowhere near satisfied. Over the past few months or so, Metro has been ruthlessly teasing two projects with some of the most in-demand talents in the game.

Long-time collaborator, Future, and the “new guy,” JID both are going to have projects with him. There are no confirmations on titles, tracklists, or release dates, but they are hopefully coming soon. Future’s seems to be the focus right now for Metro as he has been hyping it up constantly. Beats have been lost, but nothing is preventing the duo from delivering more classics together. It will be interesting to see where they do with the material, but we might have some indication of how it might sound.

Metro Boomin Might Have His Best Album On His Hands

According to HipHopDX, a recent Twitter user tweeted at Metro, asking him to make an album similar to Kanye West’s highly-regarded 2010 album. That would be My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and it seems we could be receiving something similar to that. He replied, “yeah my first album after the heroes trilogy is more of that vibe.. the title is [fire emojis] too.” We are not for certain if he means the Future, JID, or some other tape, but that has us very excited.

What are your initial thoughts on these latest comments from Metro Boomin about his upcoming project saying it has similar traits as Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy? Do you think whatever tape he is referring to will now be his best album after that statement? Where does he rank for you amongst all of the best producers in hip-hop history? Reginae Carter’s New Hair Has People Comparing Her To Everyone From Rihanna To Phaedra Parks

Reginae Carter debuted a new hairdo, a gorgeous gradiented down do that goes from dark to a light blonde. Carter showed off the new do alongside a black dress with a plunging neckline. “Blondes have more fun #Chanel25,” Carter wrote as a caption. While absolutely gorgeous, the look also made her unrecognizable to some social media users.

“Oh she looks older! I thought this was Dr. Heavenly,” one person noted. “Like did Riri start this?” someone else asked, referring to Rihanna’s own recent debut for a lighter hair tone. “Not one I thought this was someone else if anything she look like her mother. Beautiful, with style by the way Phaedra last picture looked good and young,” a third person complimented. This was a reference to the Atlanta icon, Phaedra Parks.

Reginae Asks People Stop Comparing Rappers To Lil Wayne

Elsewhere, earlier this year, Carter spoke on the trend of people comparing newer rappers to her father. “‘KEEP MY FATHER’S NAME OUT YA MOUTH,’” she tweeted, along with two laughing emojis. “Nah fr y’all need to stop comparing my dad to the new kids on the block .. gotta stop ! Everybody is super talented and dope ! Let them have their run and time will tell .. but leave that marathon Wayne ran out of it …” Carter wrote on social media back in January.

However, that might be about to start all over again. Wayne is about to drop not one, but two albums. First, there is Welcome 2 ColleGrove, his long-awaited collab album with 2 Chainz. After that, there is also Tha Carter VI, which Wayne previewed with The Fix Before Tha Carter. The full album is expected out soon, although a release date has not been announced. Meanwhile, Welcome 2 ColleGrove is out on November 17. Originally, it was going to compete with Pink Friday 2. However, Nicki Minaj later postponed her release to her birthday in December.
