Kash Doll Announces New Stage Name Amid Pregnancy & Comparisons

Kash Doll is undergoing some major changes these days, and has announced that a name change will be one of them. During a recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the performer revealed that she plans to rebrand. According to her, getting pregnant with her second child is what prompted her desire to change her stage moniker, as she’s now looking for something a bit more sophisticated. She also notes the various other “dolls” in the industry and the unavoidable comparisons that come along with her current name.

“I’m juggling between a few things,” she explained, revealing the title she was considering for her next album. “I was going to say The Last Doll, and it means so much, right? Like I think I’ma leave the ‘doll’ stuff alone. I think I’m going to give it to my child — hopefully it’s a girl. I’ma go ahead and pass that down.”

Kash Doll Reveals She’ll Now Go By Keisha

When asked what she plans to go by in the future, she responded with her birth name. “Keisha,” she said. “I’m a grown woman with two kids — I don’t want to be called a doll no more. And then it’s so many dolls. Shout out to them, y’know what I’m saying, but it’s like every time my name is brought up, it’s like, ‘Who’s the best doll?’” Of course, most commenters are in full support of the switch and would root for the artist regardless of what she went by. Others are sad to see her step away from the title and note that they’ll continue to call her what they know her as.

What do you think of Kash Doll revealing that she’s changing her stage name? Do you prefer Keisha over Kash Doll or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Hitmaka Recalls Fighting With Mustard For Production Credit On Meek Mill Song

Hitmaka says he once had to fight with Mustard to get proper credit on Meek Mill’s song, “Whatever You Need,” early in his career. Discussing Tiffany Red’s recent comments on Beyonce during an appearance on Angela Yee’s Way Up With Yee show, Hitmaka admitted he dealt with a similar situation once.

“That happened to me one time, just being transparent,” he began. “I was working under DJ Mustard at some point in my career early in my career and I did a record and I gave it to Mustard; and me and Mustard ended up not working with each other anymore. But he went and re-produced the record, and it was a sample. So it was able for him to take my idea and hook and sell it to Meek Mill, which turned into ‘Whatever You Need’ featuring Chris Brown and Ty Dolla $ign.”

He continued: “But I didn’t have no leverage at the time, and I’m assuming that Tiffany probably felt like she didn’t have leverage in those situations. But I continued to work hard, and I’ll never forget it but we at the ASCAP Awards and I win for Meek Mill ‘Dangerous,’ and they’re like, ‘Meek, come back up here again. Whatever you need, we gotta give you this one.’ But at that point, I had the leverage so I just called Roc Nation and we ended up working it out.” Red called out Beyonce, as well as other artists, for songwriting credits she feels are undeserved. She noted Beyonce in particular because she feels she’s the “Michael Jackson of our generation.” Check out Hitmaka’s full comments below.

Offset reflected on cheating on his wife, Cardi B, during a new interview on Way Up With Angela Yee. The Migos rapper says that he was “young,” on drugs, and making “bad decisions” at the time.

“Really it was our communication,” he said. “We got married and our communication was good, but it wasn’t like… I wasn’t saying my wants and needs and vice versa. We both in front center stage. Elsewhere in Offset’s chat with Angela Yee, he reflected on the tragic death of his Migos partner, Takeoff, and the impact his passing had on him over the last year. He admitted that he’s still “not healed” and cries “every day about this sh*t.” “At some point, it f*cks me up every day,” he further revealed. Check out the full interview below.

Dess Dior Divulges On Relationship With Future

After Future and Lori Harvey ended their widely publicized relationship in 2020, he soon began a new fling. The Atlanta trap icon’s next boo happened to be fellow rapper Dess Dior. Their romance began in late 2020 and ended at some point last year. During their time together, though, Future made many wholesome gestures for Dess and her family. Whether it was getting her a massive diamond ring for 2021 Valentine’s Day or getting Dior’s mother a birthday present, Future went above and beyond.

Additionally, the couple would be seen multiple times in public. Not afraid to flaunt their love for one another, Future and Dess Dior would post on social media about one another and go out together. While dating, the two went on a double date with Lil Uzi Vert and JT, shared each other’s music on their Instagram stories, fueled marriage rumors with formal outfits, and even rapped about each other. However, Pluto and Dess seemingly called it quits in 2022. Moving on from one another, the duo still seemed to be friendly though. This proved true when Future helped promote Dess’ September 2022 EP on his Instagram story.

Dess Dior Speaks On Future

Now, both thriving in their solo endeavors, Dess still has love for Future. In a recent interview with Angela Yee, Dess Dior was asked about her current standing with her ex. In a mature manner, Dior responded that she wishes for nothing but the best for him. “We’re very very very good friends,” she said. “He always supports me and I’ll always support him. It’s not bad blood. People get the wrong idea, it doesn’t always have to end in a shit show. You know what I’m saying? Gracefully move on.”

It’s rare that we see celebrity couples break up and stay friendly with one another, but Dess assures it is because of how good of a person she is. Later in her response, Dess said there was no need for her to block Future’s number or social media, and that there was no way he could “do her wrong” because there would be no reason to. While it isn’t very likely Dior and Future would reunite, it is nice to see them be cordial and wholesome with each other.
