Stephen A. Smith went on a rabid rant on The Stephen A. Smith Show after a viewer asked if he should come clean to his friend about sleeping with his girl while they were together. “Why don’t you go into the mirror and smash your own damn forehead into the mirror. Actually not the mirror, a brick wall. How bout you find a way to lift up your own arm and slap the living sh-t out of yourself.” However, Smith wasn’t finished eviscerating the viewer. “You say that’s your friend and you’re doing his girl? Really? Should you tell him? If she wants you that damn much why isn’t she leaving him,” Smith said.

Of course, Smith has previously expressed some pretty fundamental views on relationships. In September 2023, Smith said he was happy to be single. “I’m 55 years old. I’ve never been married and I’m happy about it. Now, one could easily surmise that a past rife with some degree of promiscuity might, dare I say, contribute to my desire to be single. But that’s not the reason.” Furthermore, Smith used then-recent drama to further explain his case. “I am not upset about being single. Jeezy, how he filed for divorce from his wife, Jeannie Mai, after only two years, former friends are saying she’s after his money,” Smith ranted.

Stephen A. Smith Has No Time For Rest Rule Complaints

Meanwhile, Smith also went on an impassioned rant this week about NBA players complaining about the league’s “rest rule”. “If you’re unhappy with this rule, blame some of your contemporaries. What do you expect the National Basketball Association to do when there are some players sitting out games to avoid getting injured? They’re not injured, they are avoiding getting injured!” Smith ranted on First Take.

In particular, Smith was responded to comments from Tyrese Haliburton, who recently sounded off about the rule. “I think it’s a stupid rule, like plenty of the guys in the league, but this is what the owners want. So as players, we gotta do our job and play in 65 games if we’re able to. So, that’s what I gotta do, take care of my body to be able to play in those games, and I think you’re seeing other players in the league kind of face the same thing. As long as the owners are happy,” Haliburton told The Athletic. Haliburton could lose out on up to $40 million if he is deemed ineligible for the All-NBA Team nod is likely heading for.

Dwyane Wade Reflects On Telling Gabrielle Union About Getting Another Woman Pregnant

In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Dwyane Wade reflected on a 2013 incident where he got a woman other than Gabrielle Union pregnant. “Way harder to have a conversation with my now-wife. You try to think of everything possible. You’re thinking about it all, and it is all scary. The one situation is scary enough, but you know this is gonna hurt someone that you’ve been building a relationship and a life with. We were in the playoffs, I think, even going into the finals that year. Man, that was a rough time for me. You’ve got a lot on your mind, and you’re keeping something from people you love. At night, when it’s just you and your thoughts, those thoughts are loud.”

Back in 2021, Union detailed her own reaction to the incident in her memoir. “To say I was devastated is to pick a word on a low shelf for convenience. I have not had words, and even after untold amounts of therapy I am not sure I have them now. I would have sold my soul for a win. To get out of the endless cycle of loss. The experience of Dwyane having a baby so easily while I was unable to left my soul not just broken into pieces, but shattered into fine dust scattering in the wind.” Wade has a son, Xavier, from the incident.

Wade Has Emotional Tribute For AI

Away from his relationship, Wade was recently enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame. His orange jacket was given to him by one of his heroes, Allen Iverson. “It means everything to me,” Wade told PEOPLE at the time. “I wear the number three jersey because of Allen Iverson and just have so much respect for that man. No one has been able to use [Iverson] yet, and that I’m the first one to be able to say Allen Iverson has presented me into the Hall of Fame…that right there, if you tell 17-year-old Dwyane that, I wouldn’t believe you.”

Initially, Wade wanted his longtime Miami Heat co-star Udonis Haslem to present him. Steve Harvey Reportedly Fires Social Media Manager Over Divorce Rumors, Viral Comedian Tweet

Earlier this week, reports began to surface claiming that Steve Harvey and his wife were going through a rough patch. Reportedly, Harvey and his wife, Marjorie Bridges, were headed for a divorce after Bridges cheated on the TV personality. However those rumors have since been debunked, at least according to Nigerian Senator Ned Nwoko, who claims to have spoken to Harvey personally. “When we read about our friend Steve Harvey and his lovely wife having issues, we had to contact Him and He confirmed that he and his wife are very much okay and it’s all fake news and should be disregarded. The family is happy together and we wish them all the best,” Senator Nwoko wrote on Instagram.

The other Harvey-related incident centered on a now-deleted tweet that appeared on Harvey’s official Twitter account. “A comedian you don’t find funny at all?” the tweet simply read. The post received a lot of backlash, with a lot of people calling it classless and musing on why Harvey would post such a negative question. However, Harvey himself has now spoken out about the week’s events, revealing that he had to fire a member of his team.

“Somebody that works for me on my Twitter put a statement out that was totally negative. I gotta take responsibility for it ’cause they work for me, but the engagement was talking about ‘name a comedian you don’t think is funny.’ Why would I do something like that?” Harvey said in a video. “That don’t even make no damn sense. My whole brand is to be motivational, and I’mma turn around a say something like that? You don’t know where these young people [are] at in they career, man. They could be coming up or anything. I’m all about positivity; I would’ve never done nothing like that.”

Harvey went on to say that after confronting the employee in question, the tweet was defended as being necessary as Harvey needed “engagement”. Furthermore, he ends his video by joking that the individual now needs to find “employment” instead. Harvey and Bridges have been married since 2007. It is Harvey’s third marriage and by far his most successful. Harvey was with his first wife, Marcia, for 13 years between 1981 and 1994. He then married Mary Shackleford in 1995, with the pair divorcing in 2006. Additionally Bridges and Harvey celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary (wax) earlier this year.

Juelz Santana has previously admitted to cheating on his wife, Kimbella, before they were married. Now that he’s got a ring on his finger, the New Yorker prides himself in being an honest man. It appears he’s facing infidelity accusations again. The rapper certainly didn’t hesitate to address during a rant on his Instagram Story on Thursday (April 27) afternoon. “I pride myself on being faithful ‘cuz there was a time I wasn’t,” he began, earning plenty of laughs from social media users over the sheer honesty of his confession. “I don’t/won’t cheat on my wife,” Santana further declared.

“[That’s] how I knew I was ready to get married, ‘cuz I knew I was ready to fully commit to my wife,” the rap legend added. As Complex notes, Santana and Kimbella have been together, on and off, since 2009. They have three children together but didn’t get married until 2019. This is apparently when the Dipset member was ready to cut ties with his side tings and settle down. “No matter [where] we stand at the moment, as long as we married, I would/will never break my vows,” Santana went on to say.

Still, the “Oh Yes” rapper is obviously doing his part to stay on top of the situation.

A recent revelation made by Gabrielle Union ruffled a few feathers. The actress appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast, where she spoke about her first marriage to Chris Howard. She said it was “such a stupid relationship that should never have gotten out of the dating phase.”

“I definitely was not getting Wife of the Year Awards,” Union added. “In our first marriage, neither one of us felt like the marriage should get in the way of our dating.” Union also stated, “I felt that that’s what comes, the spoils of riches. After her comments made their way to the internet, Union was criticized—even earning a reaction from 50 Cent. Entertainment Tonight also spoke with the actress about her controversy, and she dismissed critics.

“If your gonna get your panties in a twist about something I’ve been talking about since 2005 — in not one but two New York Times best-selling books — at least listen to the whole thing,” she said as she rolled her eyes. “Just so you know where your anger actually is.”
