Cassie Is Reportedly Planning Her Return To Music After Diddy Scandal

In November of last year, Cassie filed a bombshell lawsuit against her ex Diddy, accusing him of sexual assault, abuse, and much more. The lawsuit was the first of many, as after Cassie opened up about her alleged experiences with the mogul, several others followed. Diddy has since been arrested and is currently facing various charges related to alleged racketeering and sex trafficking. If convicted on all charges, he could reportedly be sentenced to a minimum of 15 years or a maximum of life in prison.

Now, a source tells Daily Mail that Cassie is considering returning to the music industry by releasing some of her new music. “Cassie is considering making a comeback to music now that Diddy is behind bars and some of the executives who were his lackeys are resigning,” they claimed.

This isn’t the first fans have heard of Cassie reportedly returning to the scene, however. In December of last year, her former collaborator Ryan Leslie revealed that the last time they spoke, she had been planning a tour. “I think that was much further past after our working relationship,” he said of her allegations against Diddy. “The last conversation we had, she’s planning for a tour.” At the time of writing, it remains unclear if or when Cassie plans to unveil new music or hit the road. Regardless, it’s safe to say that fans would be happy to see her get back to her passions following this undoubtedly difficult chapter in her life.

Wale Returns With Brief But Intriguing “Ghetto Speak” & “Mission Statement” Singles

Wale has kind of been in the dark for a little bit now, but he seems to be ramping up production again with this new “Ghetto Speak” two-pack. This comes on the heels of his Every Blue Moon Tour announcement from a few weeks ago. It’s commemorating the release of his debut album, Attention Deficit, which is now over 15 years old already. The Every Blue Moon trek is going to be quite the journey across the U.S. despite it not being solely for a new release. Wale will begin on September 19 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Then, he will wrap things up on November 7 in Birmingham, AL. However, noticed how we said “not solely”. There is a great chance that the D.C. talent will promote some new tracks from his ninth album that’s in the works.

It’s possible that it could be named after the tour, and it would be an aptly titled LP given his recent track record. We don’t have a release date yet, but we did receive a snippet of song in the trailer announcement for the tour. Furthering the hype are these two new songs from Wale, “Ghetto Speak” and “Mission Statement”. Both cuts are extremely short with them averaging out to be a minute and a half apiece. However, they do present some descriptive and introspective lyricism, as well as solid beats. “Ghetto Speak” is rougher around the edges with dirty soul vibe. His bars reflect the good and the bad about his hometown. “Mission Statement”, more cleanly produced by T-Minus, sounds more upbeat on the surface, but it has a serious tone like the first. There are great ideas here and we cannot wait for more to come from Wale.

The Fugees Are Reportedly Working On A New Album

There are not many hip-hop collectives that you can rank above the Fugees. Even with their short run as a group, the amount of creative talent between Wyclef Jean, Pras Mitchell, and Ms. Lauryn Hill is nearly unmatched. They left an indelible mark on the community through the effortless blending of other genres while also being lyrically sound. The Score is recognized as an essential 1990s record, but also a must-listen for any fan of rap. They laid down so many great tracks like “Killing Me Softly With His Song”, “Ready or Not”, and “Fu-Gee-La”. Now, it seems the Fugees are looking to craft more unforgettable tracks, as they are reportedly working on a new album.

According to an undisclosed source with Page Six, the three-headed monster is ready to make a comeback after 28 years. Following their unfortunate split, Hill, Jean, and Pras all went on to forge their own paths. Only one of them extended beyond the 90s decade, and the other two dropped just one record in 1998. But as of late the Fugees have been performing more frequently under their stage name.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, it was around this time last year that they performed at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. Additionally, the Fugees made appearances at the Global Citizen’s Festival in Central Park and then the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, later that same year. Now, pretty soon, Hill and the gang are going to be hitting the stage on 21 separate occasions. In August, the tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Miseducation is restarting after Hill was forced to cancel her run last year due to a serious vocal strain. Her and the guys will be traveling across the United States as well as Europe. May be that will be the time they record some new music together?

Boosie Badazz Lists Diddy’s 3 Ways Forward: “Go Gay, Go To The Lord, Or Just Wait It Out”

Boosie Badazz says there are three routes Diddy can take from here on out after CNN published footage of him assaulting Cassie back in 2016. Speaking about the allegations the Bad Boy mogul is facing during an interview with VladTV, Boosie argued that Diddy could invest in religion, come out as gay, or wait at least a decade before making a comeback.

“I don’t know. It’s a cold world out here. I don’t know. Only God knows,” he said before referencing Chris Brown. When Vlad asks if artists will want to work with him again, Boosie said: “I don’t think all of them gonna go to work with him. I’m not doubting his comeback or whatever, but he’s gonna have to do something different. I don’t know what it’ll take.” He added that Brown had a better chance at a comeback because women were “infatuated” with him on another level. “And, Diddy has allegations of liking d*ck too. He has those allegations also so a lot of straight women who love men are not gonna come see him perform or support him. I say his options are let it die down for a decade and try to come back, or go Christian and get saved, or go gay.”

Ja Rule is a legend in the hip-hop world. Although it has been a very long time since he was in his prime, he still has fans out there. Overall, Ja came out with plenty of big hits back in the day. Furthermore, he has some iconic projects such as Venni Vetti Vecci. Unfortunately, a beef with 50 Cent ultimately stunted the progression of his career. He even became a punchline for many years. This is especially true when you consider how he was named in a now-iconic Dave Chappelle stand-up routine.

Additionally, Ja Rule was someone who had a hand in the infamous Fyre Festival fiasco. Although he has since moved past this, there are people who still think about it from time to time. Oh, and he also had that halftime performance at a Milwaukee Bucks game that didn’t end so well. Either way, Ja is still very much active as it pertains to performing. His last project was in 2012, and now, he appears to be ready for something new. While taking to Twitter, Ja revealed that he has a new album on the way.

B.G. Promises “Greatest Comeback In Hip-Hop History”

B.G. has vowed that 2024 will be a year to remember. “While you n-ggas sleep I’m up headed to work,” he wrote. “I gotta see my psychiatrist and go to class. I’m doing all this and I’m Halfway Out. 2024 will be the greatest comeback in Hip Hop History #RNS 100 #LiveFromTheHalfwayHouse on the way,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. The rapper has already started putting on music since his release. He recently paired up Gucci Mane for the mixtape “Chopper & Bricks“.

B.G. has been making major strides since his release from prison earlier this year. As mentioned, B.G. was released prison earlier this year after 11 years behind bars. While originally scheduled to be released in 2024, B.G. had nearly a year removed from his sentence with his September 2023 release. Furthermore, B.G. has returned to Cash Money Records to pursue music now he’s a free man. “For the record, I just want n-ggas to know that my n-gga official Cash Money — ain’t no cap in that,” Birdman said during an appearance on The 85 South Show on September 8. “Ya heard me? Ain’t nobody he can ever sign with beside this sh-t. I’m bringing all this sh-t together. B.G. signed to Cash Money so y’all don’t got to hear it from nowhere else.”

Since his release, B.G. has made it clear that he’s balancing the creation of new music with fulfilling the conditions of his release. The rapper must attend substance dependency treatment programs. Furthermore, he must “actively pursue a GED or vocational training equivalent in order to better set him up for future employment.” Additionally, he must complete 400 hours of unpaid community service and is barred from possessing a firearm. There’s no official word on the release of his new music as of yet. However, the rapper is clearly ready to make a major impact after so long away from the scene.

The outlet asked Leslie about the performer’s recent lawsuit against Diddy, which came with a long list of horrific allegations. Most recently, she was spotted enjoying a meal at Serendipity in NYC accompanied by her husband, Alex Fine. Their two little ones, Frankie and Sunny, also joined them for the outing. She provided fans with a vague update on her Instagram Story, hinting at some new music arriving in the future. While she failed to specify exactly what she plans on releasing and when, she’s set the bar high. According to the rapper, she’s planning on making a splash with her return, but she needs some space to do so.

“QUIETLY RAISING MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL, PREPARING FOR THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN MUSIC!” she told followers. “HOP OFF MY D*CK!” Listeners haven’t heard a full-length project from the NYC native since her 2008 mixtape, Brooklyn’s Don Diva.
