Lola Brooke’s “Dennis Daughter” Is A Bold Debut Featuring Bryson Tiller, Coi Leray, And More

Lola Brooke may be small, but she’s still a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Now that her debut album, Dennis Daughter, has finally landed on DSPs, it’s more evident than ever that the femcee isn’t coming to play as her star continues to rise. The 12-track effort comes after singles like “Pit Stop” featuring French Montana and “You” with Bryson Tiller. Before that, Brooke also dropped off the “Don’t Play With It” remix in tandem with Latto and Yung Miami.

The only previously unheard features to appear on Dennis Daughter come from Coi Leray and Nija on “Don’t Get Me Started.” The rest of Brooke’s debut finds her delivering rhymes by herself, from “Intro (2023 Flow)” to the penultimate track, “God Bless All The Rappers.” Hip-hop heads are already offering plenty of braise to the New Yorker for her hard work on social media, and more is sure to roll in as she racks up streams this weekend.

Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ Gets Approval From Chlöe And Sexyy Red In The Return Of ‘React Like You Know’

React Like You Know is back!

It’s been a long time — we shouldn’t have left you. But to make it up, our Studio crew — Carolyn Droke, Cherise Johnson, and Steve Vasquez — rounded up a new group of Gen Z faves to run through the millennial video mill and their reactions make the wait more than worth it.

This week, we’ve got Paramore‘s “Misery Business” video, with Uproxx cover stars Chloe Bailey and Coi Leray, Na-Kel Smith, NLE Choppa, Reason, Sexyy Red, and more giving their takes on the fashion and sounds of the 2000s — as well as sharing their stories about living through the song’s lyrical scenario.

As Cherise explains, “It’s Paramore’s version of ‘she can’t love you like I love you’” (what Choppa calls one of “man’s best headaches”). The artists share their stories about being torn between options and getting into literal fights over boys.

Meanwhile, Reason is mystified by Paramore’s looks, asking “Did white people in high school look like this?” Sexyy Red approves of Hayley Williams’ hair, while Chloe has fond memories of her and her sister Halle’s “Paramore and Avril Lavigne phase” joking, “That’d be me, breaking down and crying.”

Check out the latest episode of React Like You Know above.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Coi Leray Says Chrisean Rock Is Capping As Reactions To New Mom’s Interview With Jason Lee Pour In

When Blueface and Jaidyn Alexis sat down with Jason Lee for his podcast earlier this fall, it took us a minute to digest all the tea that was spilled. The father of three took the opportunity to address rumours about him financially abusing Chrisean Rock, and he also let it slip that he “might’ve got some head” from one Megan Thee Stallion a few years back. Unsurprisingly, Blue’s second baby mama’s appearance on the same show has given us even more details on not only their co-parenting drama but also the beef that the Baddies cast member has with others in the industry.

From what we know, Rock and “Blick Blick” hitmaker Coi Leray obviously aren’t on good terms. Things are so tense between the two women that Lee felt some heat from the Boston native for interviewing her, which the 23-year-old had some thoughts about. “I’m genuine, I thought she wanted to do a collab or some music,” Chrisean recalled of her time previously spent with Leray. “Really she was just tryna out me out the plan and bag my ni**a on some bulls**t,” the reality starlet alleged.

Now that she’s been trolled about the confession from Rock’s supporters on social media, Leray hopped on Twitter to address things on Friday (November 3) afternoon. “Don’t believe the 🧢,” she wrote. Perhaps we’ll be seeing the Trendsetter sitting across from Lee in the upcoming weeks to tell her side of the story.

As more people are beginning to tune in to Chrisean’s interview on Jason Lee’s podcast, some are finding that they’re perspective on the “Lit” artist has changed. “She not as d**b as y’all think,” one viewer tweeted. “She actually does hold herself accountable. I really pray she gets all the help she needs.”

Viewers React to Chrisean Rock on The Jason Lee Show

“Watching the interview got me in tears of joy,” Chrisean Rock expressed on Twitter earlier this weekend. “Like dang, God really can change or turn any situation. As long as [you] give it to him, he will turn [your] bad to [your] good. I’m actually [proud] of myself for pushing through,” she added. “1738, ayy,” Fetty Wap is back! The Paterson, New Jersey native teams up with rising female singer and MC Coi Leray for an all-new single. For those who are not aware, Fetty is in the midst of a six-year prison sentence that came down back in May of this year. It became an extremely messy and lengthy series of events. After about two years of court appearances and four years of investigations, Fetty was found guilty of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute controlled substances.

To be specific more than 100 kilograms of narcotics, including cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine. However, throughout all of it, the rapper and crooner has been pushing out some singles and feature placements. He has not put out a full album since his 2021 record, The Butterfly Effect. This may be his most high-profile song Fetty has released in quite some time.

Chrisean Rock Reveals She Threw Phone At Coi Leray Over Being Fake

Chrisean Rock’s celebrity fights are usually reserved for the Baddies reality TV show, but she can’t avoid them in real life, either. Moreover, she recently confessed that she had a spat with Coi Leray over a failed collab and proximity to her then-boo, Blueface, that resulted in Rock throwing her phone in Coi’s face. From what the Zeus Network darling expressed on The Jason Lee Show in a new bombshell interview, it seems like the Massachusetts MC was being “fake” in her eyes, trying to pretend like there were no tensions between them. Sounds like she just didn’t want to take it that far, but alas, Rock had business to stand on.

“I thought she wanted to do a collab on some music, but really she was just trying to out me out the plan and bag my n***a and some other s**t,” Chrisean Rock expressed. “I’m like, ‘You can have [him], I just want the verse.’…We fell out because she wanted what she wanted. She had a hidden agenda when she hung out with me.” You can find this discussion around the 2:01:30 timestamp in the full interview below.

Then, the Baltimore native claimed that she met the “Players” artist on a tour bus with GloRilla earlier this year while she was still pregnant. “[Coi Leray] in everybody face,” Chrisean Rock added. “She know we not cool. You can ask anybody that was right there. N***a, I took out my phone, I’ll buy a new one, I threw that b***h at her face. She just wanna sit in my face and smile. I ain’t know what it was. But I didn’t give a f**k what it was.”

Meanwhile, this conversation also ended up revealing a lot about the mother of one’s current situation. She explained a lot of the headlines, antics, developments, and huge scandals that have defined her post-childbirth media space. At least things are slightly better now, but it remains a pretty contentious and difficult spectacle to navigate. On that note, come back to HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Chrisean Rock.

Coi Leray’s Bear Costume Shows Off Her Curves In New Steamy Social Media Pics

Coi Leray is one of many celebrities showing off their Halloween fits this year, although she is certainly more subtle than most. Moreover, on Sunday (October 29), she shared some pictures of her minimal but steamy bear costume on social media. The Massachusetts MC wore a small brown bodysuit with some black paint on her nose and with fuzzy ears atop her head. Furthermore, it’s not the most elaborate costume in the world, which will already make it lag far behind in the race for many critics and fans. However, when you think about something that combines sexiness, comfort, and a clear indication of what you’re dressed up as, we can’t deny that she checked these boxes.

While Coi Leray’s career still has a lot more gas in the tank, at least she’s made a lot of moves in the fashion world without compromising that. She and Tracee Ellis Ross posted up in all-black YSL for Paris Fashion Week, an occasion which had her traveling all over the world to show her style. As such, the 26-year-old is already doing a pretty good job of balancing her main artistry with some extracurricular experience. This might not seem important to some, but in the social media age, it’s always safe to set apart a couple of different lanes for yourself.

In addition, moves like these could further cement an artist into “icon” status, which Coi Leray recently questioned, thus opening up some fan debate. “Back in the days, it was easy to define an icon,” she tweeted last Thursday (October 26). “For example, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Ri, Ciara, Missy… many more…. I noticed things changed, so I’m asking, what makes an icon today? Streams? Likes? Numbers?

“Stage presence, vocals, cadence, fashion, versatility, choreography, effort, bars, lyrics.. Does it not madder?” Coi continued. “What do y’all WANT to see? Or be honest.. it doesn’t even madder anymore because it’s so much going on in the industry , viral moments is easier to digest? Idk , I hit this blunt and started overthinking…Normally I try to just be the observer, sit back . Keep it cool… but I figured I share that with y’all cause I’m so curious.” For more news and the latest updates on Coi Leray, keep checking in with HNHH and check out her costume in the Via link below.

Tinder Partners With Coi Leray To Unveil New Matchmaking Feature

Coi Leray

Hosting a dating life debrief with friends is a time honored tradition, so much so that over 75% of surveyed singles said they discuss their dating life with friends multiple times a month.1 To assist today’s singles and their dating deliberators in deeming if someone is worthy of a Like, Tinder, the world’s most popular dating app for meeting new people, is launching Tinder MatchmakerTM. The new feature lets friends and family asynchronously access Tinder to recommend profiles for a user.

The feature makes modern dating a team sport by essentially integrating the “friend test” into Tinder. Users can now invite others, whether they have a Tinder profile or not, to view and suggest potential matches. It gives Tinder users the added intel of seeing who their friends Like for them when considering a potential match but, just like in real life, the user ultimately decides who they want to send a Like to.

“For years, singles have asked their friends to help find their next match on Tinder,  and now we’re making that so easy with Tinder Matchmaker,” says Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder. “Tinder Matchmaker brings your circle of trust into your dating journey and helps you see the possibilities you might be overlooking from the perspective of those closest to you.”

To bring users and their personal matchmakers up to speed on this new digital dating dynamic, Tinder has partnered with rapper Coi Leray, who knows that modern dating is complicated – for you and the crew – because bestie’s latest match might be around for a while. As such, she’s been crowned the Matchmaking Monarch of Tinder Court, where she illustrates the power of the “friend test” in newly released digital content.

“Handing your phone over to the friend group was the original vibe check. Obviously you want your friends to like whoever you’re crushing on, and Tinder Matchmaker is a fun way to get the bestie seal of approval even before the match.” says Coi Leray.

Here’s How Tinder Matchmaker Works:

  • A Tinder Matchmaker session can be started directly from a profile card, or within app settings. Users can share their unique link with up to 15 friends in a 24 hour period.
  • After following the link, the matchmaker can either log in to Tinder or continue as a guest (after completing an age verification prompt and agreeing to Tinder’s terms as outlined).
  • Matchmakers have 24 hours to play cupid before the session expires, where they can recommend profiles for the Tinder user but won’t be able to chat or send messages on their behalf.
  • Once the session expires, Tinder users will have the opportunity to review the profiles their matchmakers’ Like for them. Profiles that received a Like from a matchmaker will be marked as a “recommendation” (profiles sent a Nope won’t change).
  • The Tinder user still makes the final call on who to Like – but now knows who their friends are rooting for.

Tinder Matchmaker is available now in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam, and will be rolling out to Tinder users globally in the coming months.

1 Online survey of 2500 18-25 year olds who are single and actively dating (1000 UK, 1000 USA and 500 Australia) was commissioned on behalf of Tinder and conducted by market research company OnePoll, in accordance with the Market Research Society’s code of conduct. Data was collected between 6/10/2023 and 12/10/2023. All participants are double-opted in to take part in research and are paid an amount depending on the length and complexity of the survey. This survey was overseen and edited by the OnePoll research team. OnePoll are MRS Company Partners, have corporate membership of ESOMAR and Members of the British Polling Council.

Coi Leray Poses Topless For Fake “Playboy” Cover After Dropping NSFW “Players” Visual

There are plenty of female artists who have our attention right now, but none of them are grabbing it quite like Coi Leray. The Boston-born baddie has crafted a formula for creating viral hits, allowing her to have one of the biggest years of her career so far thanks to her sophomore album, COI. One of the singles from that effort, “Players,” continues to generate big buzz for the fashionista, even nearly one year after its arrival on DSPs.

Over the weekend, Leray finally unleashed the music video for her hit track, which finds her showing off her modelling skills in a cute set of black bunny ears. Throughout the sultry clip, the 26-year-old shows how she would pose for a Playboy cover, wearing ultra-tiny black shorts and suspenders to cover her breasts from the camera. When announcing that the “Players” visual is out now on Instagram, Leray apologized for the lengthy wait, though she couldn’t help but give herself her flowers at the same time.

Coi Leray Finally Shares Her “Players” Music Video

“The s**t is ICONIC 🔥🔥,” Coi declared of the Michael Vincent-directed project. As streams on that continue to increase, the blue haired-beauty returned to IG on Monday (October 9) afternoon to show off some of the photos she would pic to appear on a Playboy cover.

Her outfit of choice was little more than a black and white tennis skirt, though Leray also strategically used a small towel to shield her chest. In the other snaps included in her photo dump, the Trendsetter artist used a Chanel racquet to hide her petite booty while bending over in a pair of black heels.

Coi Leray Indulges Her ‘Playboy’ Fantasies In Her ‘Players’ Video, For Which We Had To Wait Nearly A Whole Year

Coi Leray empowered people everywhere with her undeniably catchy “Players” single last November, leading to equally as fun remixes with Busta Rhymes and Tokischa. Since then, “Players” has been certified platinum and busted several Billboard charts, Leray released Coi, and she engaged in beef, squashed that beef, then sort of re-engaged in it again with Latto — all before dropping a video for “Players.” That finally changed on Friday, October 6.

“‘PLAYERS’ OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW !!!!!!” Leray posted on Instagram alongside several heart and flower emojis. “#sorryforthewait this sh*t is ICONIC [two flame emojis].”

And she’s not wrong. The cinematic video begins with a highlight reel of Leray’s rise to dominance — depicting a risqué photoshoot for a Playboy magazine cover — as she says, “See, me, I love breaking the rules. I do what the f*ck I want, when I want, where I want, and I keep God first, always. So I make sure I move with grace. This is chess, not checkers. While they prayin’ on my downfall, I’ll never let my crown fall. Keep it playa, baby.”

Once the song starts, we see a confident and very stylist Leray step outside only to be met by throngs of paparazzi and fans. She’s leading boardrooms, posing for the cameras, hopping on a private jet, letting loose on a yacht, and leading the charge at the nightclub. In other words, anyone who watches should feel like immediately slamming shut their laptops (or chucking their phones) and actualizing their every fantasy.

Are New Hip-Hop Artists Relying Too Heavily On Sampling? Fans Are Concerned

Saweetie, Coi Leray, GloRilla

Hip-hop, a constantly evolving genre, has seen a surge of new artists emerging on the scene. These up-and-coming rappers often draw inspiration from the iconic artists of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Sampling has always been a part of hip-hop, with artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and the late producer, J-Dilla, pushing boundaries […]
