Drake is easily one of the biggest artists in the entire world. Consequently, everything he does is going to be scrutinized. That has rung true this week, although not for the best of reasons. However, he does have one saving grace which is his “It’s All A Blur – Big As The What” tour with J. Cole. Overall, this is an incredible arena tour that is bringing two of the biggest hip-hop artists ever, together. The tour just started, and Drizzy is already creating some buzz with his on-stage attire.

If you were paying attention over the weekend, you would know that many were making fun of his Dry Bones-inspired outfit. There was some sort of spine attached to the back and it formed a unique skeleton shape. Fans thought that it looked pretty ridiculous, even by Drake’s standards. However, with all of the criticism making the rounds online, the artist decided to explain himself. In the video below, you can hear Drake address the crowd and give a pretty unique answer.

Essentially, he wanted to showcase that he has a spine after coming face-to-face with so many spineless people in the industry. Moreover, they shared a new video of them donning a full costume of The Grinch that looks like it could’ve appeared in a live-action film of it. It’s unclear whether the singer and actress will use this fit for something grander or if they just wanted to pop off and go a little bit harder on the “a very extra Christmas” front. Either way, the results certainly speak for themselves, and we can’t imagine what they might do as an on-screen Grinch. After all, the Kansas City native is intertwining the worlds of movies and music more than ever these days.

Whether this Grinch outfit is for a video, some promo material, or just for fun, we’re glad that they’re celebrating with style and joy. This was an excellent year for Janelle Monae: their album The Age Of Pleasure, while not as conceptually daunting as previous work, still ranks as one of 2023’s best, waviest, and most soothing auditory offerings. In addition, they also caused a lot of noise with their tour and proudly stamped their identity into the industry as always. Hopefully 2024 yields even more great things in whatever artistic lane will be tackled next.

Moreover, it looks like he wanted to mix bloodsucker aesthetics with El día de los muertos (Day of the Dead), which is an interesting and fair interpretation. However, fans weren’t too kind to the Dipset mogul and potential reunion leader in the comments section of his Instagram posts. If you’re curious, he wore this fit to the The Haunted Castle party hosted by Bernice Burgos & P-Reala in Huntington, New York on Hallow’s Eve. With a pair of black Air Force 1s, Capo didn’t go full Nosferatu, but he certainly wasn’t getting any Playboi Carti fans to rock with him.

Jokes aside, this is just one of many frankly ridiculous but perhaps over-hated Halloween costumes from celebrities these days. If we’re going by the worst of the worst celeb costume standards, then Jim Jones didn’t fumble the bag here nearly as badly as people think. Regardless, this creates a contrast between the traditional macho street image that he presents and his actually trick-or-treating aesthetics. Lil Nas X’s Tampon Halloween Costume Gets Backlash, Has This Bold Response To Haters

Just like every other year, 2023 held plenty of absurdly viral, talked-about, and controversial Halloween costumes in the celebrity world. However, none seemed to garner as much negative or positive attention than Lil Nas X’s choice to dress up as a bloody tampon connected by a string to a huge, fake… well, you know. Moreover, he got a lot of flack for this fit due to its lewd or explicit nature, what many interpreted as a comical treatment of a real health product, or portraying a negative view of women. If you’ve heard the Georgia native’s music in any capacity, you know he’s not about any of that, and he took to Twitter on Wednesday (November 1) to make this clear.

“I been silent for nearly 2 years,” Lil Nas X expressed on the social media platform. Then, he made a bold claim about people not actually being angry about the costume and just overblowing their reaction. “Y’all are not finna pretend to be mad about a tampon costume. Let me at least get new music out first.” Overall, the MONTERO star isn’t buying the backlash coming from prudes, and doesn’t even think he has the space in pop culture right now to warrant such an overreaction.

After someone called in a bomb threat at his new documentary’s premiere, he hit the studio after feeling inspired by it.
