Kelly Osbourne Applauds Weight-Loss Drug Ozempic as Alternative to Gym Workouts

Kelly Osbourne, the 39-year-old daughter of iconic rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has stirred controversy with her recent comments praising the weight-loss drug Ozempic as a preferable alternative to traditional gym workouts.

In an exclusive interview with E! News at Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala red carpet, the aspiring singer shared her support for individuals who opt to use Ozempic, a medication primarily prescribed for diabetes management, as a means of shedding excess weight.

“I think it’s amazing,” Kelly expressed to E! News. “There are a million ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that isn’t as boring as working out?”

However, Kelly’s endorsement of Ozempic was not without criticism of its detractors. She suggested that those who speak negatively about the drug may secretly desire its benefits or feel frustrated by its high cost, which can exceed $1,000 per month.

“People hate on it because they want to do it. And the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it,” Kelly asserted.

Despite acknowledging the drug’s expense, Kelly emphasized her belief that Ozempic’s effectiveness justifies its cost. She anticipates that as its popularity grows, its price may become more accessible to a broader demographic.

“Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it actually works,” Kelly remarked.

Kelly’s advocacy for Ozempic comes in the wake of her own struggles with weight loss and body image. Following the birth of her son Sidney in 2022, Kelly admitted to feeling pressure to shed the postpartum weight, describing it as an obsession.

“I’m going to be honest, I felt the pressure of after having the baby to lose the baby weight,” Kelly revealed to E! News last fall. “It became my mission. I was obsessed with it because I didn’t even want to get brought into the conversation, I just wanted to be left alone.”

Kelly disclosed that her experience with Ozempic resulted in significant weight loss, with her reportedly dropping 100 pounds. While she acknowledges the drug’s role in her weight loss journey, her endorsement has sparked debate about the broader implications of using pharmaceutical interventions for cosmetic purposes.

50 Cent Explains How He Lost An Impressive 43 Pounds And No, It Wasn’t Ozempic

Back in May 2023, 50 Cent declared he was on a weight-loss mission ahead of his Final Lap Tour, saying, “We gonna do the tour and stuff like that, right? So I’m back working out like that. I always work out, but it’s different when I gotta start running and all that sh*t. Matter of fact, I’ma show y’all [on] Live every day. Yeah, I’ma do five miles in front of ’em every day. You gonna see me come back down.”

Well, it’s been less than a year and indeed, 50 has made some significant progress. The rapper has sported a noticeably slimmer physique lately, which had some thinking that he used Ozempic as part of his weight-loss journey. In a new video shared last night (January 24), though, he revealed what’s actually going on: He just put in the good old-fashioned work.

50 revealed he has lost 43 pounds, saying, “Everybody talking about weight loss. I was in the gym, I was working the f*ck out, man. And they say it was Ozempic. I was running, I was running. I was doing what I had to do. You see me on tour, I ran around. I was 253 pounds, I came down, I’m 210 right now, right. How you feel about it? You tell me how you feel about it later, right.”

50 Cent Responds To Ozempic Allegations, Reveals How He Really Lost 43 Pounds

It’s not like 50 Cent’s ever been super scrawny or too big for his britches, but fans still can’t believe his weight loss. Moreover, recent Instagram posts opened up a conversation about how much he looks than a couple of years ago, with some fans even accusing him of using slimming drugs like Ozempic to achieve these results. Through a recent Instagram post, the rapper commented on these theories and maintained that everything we see is the product of hard work. “You want to talk about weight loss?” he said of his 40-pound loss. “I was in the gym, I was working the f**k out, man.

“They’re gonna says it’s Ozempic,” 50 cent continued. “I was running, I was running, I was doing what I had to do. You’ve seen me on tour, I run around. I was 253 pounds, I’ve came down, I’m 210 right now. Tell me how you feel about it, you tell me how you feel about it later.” According to an alleged source report from Page Six, this is the result of a “rigorous” eight-month fitness journey that saw him go to the gym “three hours a day, every day.” As the G-Unit mogul explained, it was in service to his recent tour, The Final Lap, which began in July of 2023.

However, that’s not the only personal, physical, and health-related routine that he’s keeping up. The Queens legend related this workout regiment to his decision to practice abstinence, also via Instagram. “I’m focused, man,” 50 Cent captioned a recent post on the social media platform. “Practicing abstinence is helping me train harder. I feel great I think more people should try it. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

“My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted,” the 48-year-old had expressed as his New Year’s resolution for 2024. “I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level.” Looks like hitting the gym is something that he will also continue as a New Year’s commitment. The weight loss drug has been named ‘Hollywood’s worst kept secret’ as several celebrities such as Amy Schumer and Robbie Williams have confirmed they have turned to use the viral drug. Sharon Osbourne is one of the most recent celebrities to open up about the side-effects and negative impacts she’s experienced since using Ozempic. In a Daily Mail interview published on Friday, Sharon goes on to say

“I’m too gaunt and I can’t put any weight on,” about her appearance and continued with, “I want to because I feel I’m too skinny. I’m under 100 pounds, and I don’t want to be. Be careful what you wish for”. Sharon, who started using Ozempic last December, says she has come off the drug now and gives a warning not to give it to teenagers as it’s so easy to become addicted to the viral weight loss drug.

Research conducted by doctor search engine experts at Kaly.com analyzed Google search data to establish which US states are searching for the weight loss drug Ozempic the most. Connecticut topped the list of states influenced by Ozempic, with a monthly average of 1,383 searches per 100,000 residents. To put that into perspective, residents of Connecticut are searching for Ozempic 76% more than those who live in New Mexico, which ranked lowest out of all 50 states.

In second place is New York, which searches for Ozempic 1,364 times a month on average per 100,000 people. New Yorkers’ fourth most searched-for term is ‘Ozempic face’ with 20,016 searches a month on average across the entire state’s population. The term Ozempic face has also gained 31.7 million views on TikTok and is due to the appearance of excess skin on the face becoming ‘saggier’ and more wrinkled due to rapid weight loss.

In third place is Louisiana, with an average of 1,354 searches for Ozempic a month per 100,000 people. Louisiana’s top preferred searches after ‘Ozempic’ include ‘Ozempic side effects’, ‘Ozempic weight loss’, and ‘Ozempic for weight loss’.

Florida comes in fourth place with 1,310 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. The fifth most searched-for Ozempic-related term is “Ozempic coupons”, with 4,700 searches across the state’s entire population on average. Cheaper alternatives to Ozempic have become popular during the viral weight loss trend, with #ozempicdupe gaining 2.8 million views on TikTok. Extensive research and speaking to a healthcare specialist should take place before purchasing or trying cheaper alternatives or dupes.

In fifth place, Massachusetts has 1,263 average monthly searches per 100,000 people. The residents in Massachusetts are more obsessed with Ozempic by 32% than those in the neighbouring state of Vermont.

Texas followed closely behind in sixth place with 1,257 monthly searches per month per 100,000 residents.

In seventh place is New Jersey with 1,242 searches per 100,000 people searching for Ozempic. New Jersey’s Chelsea Handler has shared her own experience of unknowingly being prescribed Ozempic, and the drug being used for weight loss in Hollywood circles during her appearance on Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast.

West Virginia is in eighth place, with 1,230 searches a month on average per 100,000 people. Just after that is Tennessee, with 1,214 searches on average per 100,000 residents.

Finally, rounding off the list in tenth place is Oklahoma, with 1,199 monthly searches on average per 100,000 people.

At the other end of the scale, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Iowa are the top three states least seemingly concerned about the viral weight loss drug Ozempic.

Jordyn Woods’ Weight Loss Has Social Media Speculating She Used Ozempic

When Jordyn Woods found herself cast outside the Kardashian-Jenner social circle as a result of sharing a smooch with Tristan Thompson, some speculated that the socialite’s career was over. The world previously best knew her as Kylie Jenner’s best friend. Though that came with some opportunities of its own, none of them gave her the chance to shine in the spotlight like her BFF. Since their “breakup” however, Woods has only gone on to soar to new heights in her career – and pin down one of the NBA’s most eligible bachelors.

She and Karl-Anthony Towns have been romantically involved for several years now, after previously spending plenty of time getting to know one another as friends. Aside from being #couplegoals for the world, Woods has also stepped up in her role as a businesswoman, recently launching her own Woods by Jordyn clothing brand. With so much on her plate, the California native has also found time to focus on her body, which has become notably slimmer following the end of her friendship with Jenner.

Miss Woods is “Actin Brand New”

In her younger years, Jordyn still had some of her childhood baby fat hanging on, but at 25, she’s stepping more into her adult body after undergoing “second puberty,” as it’s infamously known. Of course, as a young, wealthy, social media star, Woods also has access to countless cosmetic procedures and drugs to enhance her appearance, which some users are speculating may have played a role in her drastic physical transformation. Specifically, they’re crediting Ozempic (allegedly used by stars like Mindy Khaling and Kim Kardashian) as the secret behind her slim thick figure.

“All the celebs, even regular [people] are on Ozempic,” one Instagram user ranted in the model’s comment section. “When do you stop taking Ozempic?” someone else asked. Thankfully for her sanity, just as many fans are showering the young reality star with love, letting her know that they’ve seen the hard work she’s been putting in on her image. Are you a fan of Jordyn’s new appearance? Let us know in the comments, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture/hip-hop news updates.
