Tyga & Avril Lavigne Club Together After Breakup

Even though they already broke up, Tyga and Avril Lavigne proved that they can still have a good time together. Moreover, the former couple recently went to a Las Vegas club during the day on Saturday (June 1) and partied together with seemingly no issues. Not only that, but they even shared the stage for a moment at the Encore Beach Club, which is located inside the Wynn Las Vegas. The pop-punk artist performed with Marshmello that day, whereas the Compton rapper performed onstage later that night. Apparently he saw Lavigne’s show from the DJ booth’s VIP section, and they linked up amid smiles and laughs shortly after.

Furthermore, they eventually exited the venue with their respective crew, although Tyga waited for Avril Lavigne to finish taking pictures with fans before doing so. For those unaware, TMZ reported that they split up amicably after deciding that they did everything they could do in the relationship. What made it such a hot-button pairing in pop culture, though, wasn’t just because of the musical crossover. In fact, they went public in March, just a month after she called off her engagement to fellow pop-punk star Mod Sun.

Regardless of that history, it’s clear that reports of them wanting to stay friends were proved with this outing. What’s more is that Avril Lavigne might be making many more celebrity friends within the realms of hip-hop and R&B in the future. For example, she recently attended SZA’s SOS tour in Los Angeles, and the TDE singer was incredibly excited to meet her in person. Given that she had a pop-punk track on the album that the tour accompanied, maybe a full-on collaboration is in the cards as well.

Meanwhile, the West Coast MC might be straying into the world of pop-punk as well soon. Rumors recently swirled of him and Travis Barker collaborating on music together, which might potentially be a new EP. No matter what these artists get up to in the future, it’s always heartening to see a friendly split rather than a nasty feud. Stick around on HNHH for more news and the latest updates on Avril Lavigne & Tyga.

Ice-T Speaks On Trying Ecstasy With Coco: Watch

Deemed “the greatest Drink Champs story ever,” Ice-T came onto the show to chat it up with NORE about the first time he got high with his wife, Coco. The episode, which launches Thursday on Revolt TV, features the Law & Order alum going back to his roots when he actually rapped. This specific story details Ice-T and Coco hitting the club, with his then-girlfriend asking him to find some ecstasy. And while he succeeded in his search, it didn’t happen the way he expected it to.

Ice-T walked around the club, asking people if they had some E. When he finally found “the man,” the guy yelled out, “Yo, Ice-T’s trying to get high!” The L.A. rapper told this person that he heard he was “the man.” In response, the guy pulled out roughly 20 tablets of MDMA, put them into Ice-T’s hand, and said, “You heard I’m the man? Now YOU’RE the man!” What he and Coco did with that much molly is anyone’s guess. (Perhaps he tells the Drink Champs crew in the full podcast episode. We’ll have to wait and see.)

Ice-T’s Funny Streak

The rapper-turned-actor was once known for his prolific 90s music career. But for over two decades, he has played a pivotal role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has an incredible 515+ episodes under his belt. His character provides comic relief on the show while also remaining a strong presence for TV-based justice. Nowadays, his character on SVU would arrest early-2000 Ice-T, complete with an off-hand quip about the dangers of unwittingly dealing ecstasy.

He has his jokes for sure, and he doesn’t save them for podcasts. (In fact, he’s on record warning music artists about the dangers of podcasts.) Ice-T uses Twitter and twiddling thumbs to offer hilarious commentary on the state of pop culture today. He’s mentioned he can’t get out of a parking ticket in L.A. like his SVU costars can because “I’m Black.” Then there was that one day he learned how fans “shipped” certain TV characters, leading to some fun Tweets about this odd cultural trend. In any case, Ice-T is great for a laugh or two, and he has plenty of stories from his 30-year career as a rapper and actor.

Fivio Foreign Allegedly Roofied At Paris Night Club

Fivio Foreign caught a speed bump during his good times in France for Paris Fashion Week, or at least that’s what reports of an alleged incident indicated. Moreover, according to TMZ, someone roofied the New York rapper on Saturday night (June 24) at the Parisian club L’Arc, resulting in a heated altercation. Apparently, the accusations of drugging come directly from Fivio, who attributed that to how he acted in the club he performed at. Furthermore, the publication got in contact with his representatives, who did not specify what went down that night. However, we do know that police forces spoke to him that night, and that the incident allegedly spilled outside of the premises.

However, while officers did confront Fivio Foreign, they did not arrest or detain him for the incident. Overall, it sounds like a bit of a scary situation, and the vagueness of reports as of writing this article certainly doesn’t help. At least the MC had other things to celebrate this week to balance out the unfortunate Saturday night. For example, he recently dropped $200K on a luxurious new chain with his name engraved, VVS diamonds, and emeralds.

In other news, the 33-year-old was believed to be the victim of a chain-snatching indecent, although he and his team called these rumors false. Apparently a rapper named Big Pluto took responsibility for the incident when news of it first broke online. However, Fivio Foreign’s friend Loui Paso went on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast to debunk these claims, saying that he has really tight security. As such, he expressed doubts that anyone could even get past them without it being a much bigger and more well-known story, which got confirmed quick. After calling Fivio, he showed the podcast the allegedly stolen chain in question.

Meanwhile, he just released an eight track EP titled Without Warning, which he leads mostly by himself except for a feature from Kanye West on the track “Concussion.” They previously worked together on various songs from West’s Donda, including “Off The Grid.” Hopefully whatever happened in Paris was an isolated incident- and one that doesn’t happen again. For more news and the latest updates on Fivio Foreign, check back in with HNHH.

Atlanta Club Comes To “Complete Stop” When Gunna Verse Comes On

Gunna may have gotten his physical freedom back after taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s free from criticism. In fact, the “Pushin P” hitmaker is being judged more harshly than ever before. Mostly for allegedly snitching on Young Thug, which he’s continuously denied. Many former friends and collaborators have turned a cold shoulder Gunna’s way, and Boosie Badazz even recently said that he wouldn’t work with the Georgia native, even in exchange for $1 billion.

Elsewhere, Lil Gotit ranted on Instagram about Gunna last week, markedly declaring that “it’s over” for the 29-year-old. It seems the former may have been right, as a video that’s gone viral on Twitter shows an ATL club coming to a standstill when the Wunna’s verse comes on during 21 Savage’s “Can’t Leave Without It.” When sharing the clip on IG recently, the OP wrote, “Aye y’all, DA WHOLE CLUB came to a complete STOP WHEN DEY PLAYED GUNNA 😂😂😂.”

ATL isn’t Feeling Gunna

“DAT MF WAS THUMPIN’ [BEFORE] dat mf came on 😂😂. I’M CRYINNNNN,” they continued. From behind the camera, the man recording says, “The whole club stopped when they played Gunna,” as he wanders the venue, showing people calmly sitting everywhere as music loudly blares around them. “They do not f*ck with Gunna in Atlanta. Look at this sh*t. Look how dead it is. This motherf*cker was just jumping like hotcakes n*gga. This sh*t dead than a motherf*cker.”

Much of the disdain around the DS4EVER artist is obviously regarding his plea deal. However, he was recently accused of dissing Lil Baby and Lil Durk on his latest single, which hit DSPs this past weekend. The southern star has denied throwing shade at the former, but social media has still begged to differ. Have you heard Gunna’s new “bread & butter” song yet? If not, tap in at the link below and check back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

T.I. Tells DJ To Play One Of His Hits, He Plays Destiny’s Child Instead

A clip of T.I. has recently gone viral. The video shows him standing on stage with several associates, including DJ Toomp, when he asks the DJ to play one of their hit songs. Instead of honoring the rapper’s request, however, the DJ went on to play the 2004 Destiny’s Child song “Soldier,” which T.I. is featured on. He shouted, “That ain’t one of ’em! That ain’t one of ’em!” Despite the mishap, T.I. went on to rap his 2001 I’m Serious track, “Dope Boyz,” which was produced by DJ Toomp.

Last week, T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris also lost a $100 million lawsuit against MGA Entertainment. The couple was suing the company, claiming that they took inspiration for their doll collection from the girl group OMG Girlz. The group was formed by Harris in 2009. The lawsuit read, “The animated OMG Dolls copy the OMG Girl distinctive physical appearance, hair styles and hair colors, dress and mimic the OMG Girl released sound recordings.” T.I. and tiny also accused MGA Entertainment of “cultural appropriation and outright theft of the intellectual property.” Following the verdict, Tiny called the situation “horrible, but whatever,” and T.I. claimed to want to “hear what the jurors have to say.”

T.I. Performed Acapella

Earlier this month, Swizz Beatz said he wants to see the rapper battle Rick Ross on Verzuz. “Rick Ross said he wanted T.I.,” the producer said. He continued, “Rick Ross and Tip. Battle of the south. Crown of the south. King of the south.” “T.I., talk to me. Ross you can fly your plane to the party,” he also suggested.

In April, Boosie Badazz apologized to T.I. for calling him a “rat.” He said, “After we kept going back-and-forth, […] I kinda felt bad.” Boosie said he, “kinda felt bad he was doing some real s**t helping me in a lot of ways but I told him I still stand on what I stand on.” He also shared that the two of them have made amends.

King Von’s Mom Parties In The Club, Perfectly Raps “Crazy Story”

Almost three years after his tragic death, King Von’s music continues to preserve his legacy and ring through speakers everywhere. What’s more is that his loved ones, family, and industry peers are always there to support and celebrate it. Moreover, his mother Tasha recently popped out in the club, and a video surfaced of her rapping his now-classic track “Crazy Story” word for word. “But this what happen, I got to the door, I thought I was cappin’,” the song goes.
“I was lacking, ’cause there go the opps, yellin’ out, ‘What’s crackin’?’” Furthermore, she spit bars back to her friends, who were also singing along to the track booming through the venue.

While the Chicago rapper is unfortunately not with us to see what became of his impact, it’s so deep that even its negative assumptions continue to plague his memory. For example, King Von recently faced accusations of snitching on what FBG Butta did involving the murder of Odee Perry. Of course, many fans came to his defense, but also reflected on just how much people speak on him after his passing. “You know your name holds weight when you are still a problem after you die,” one fan shared on social media regarding the allegations.

King Von’s Mom Turning Up To “Crazy Story”

Regardless, his loved ones and family continue to uplift and prioritize the positive effects he had on those around him. Even in the smallest of ways, it’s important to remember that the O Block MC was as human as the rest of us. For example, Taesha recently posted some pictures of King Von when he was in high school. Regardless of what circumstances and choices plagued him throughout his entire life, to only consider him as a product of those would be an insult to his memory.

On that note, a controversial documentary on him titled “Rap’s First Serial Killer” drew the ire and interest of many fans. YouTube took it down and reinstated it multiple times, causing many family members and close friends to blast its accusations and the dark image it portrays. Hopefully the future holds more well-rounded and reflective ways to honor the legacy of yet another rapper whose life was cut tragically short. For more updates and the latest news on King Von, check back in with HNHH.

Ja Morant Performs NBA YoungBoy

It was an NBA postseason to forget for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant. Morant returned from injury just in time to be part of a Grizzlies team absolutely outclassed by the Lakers. Morant put 24.6 points per game and shot 42.5% from the floor in the six-game drubbing. While the Lakers may have had their playoff seeding suppressed by regular-season injuries, it was an embarrassing look for the so-called two-seed. Morant will attempt to lead the Grizzlies beyond the first round next season.

Now Morant has a whole offseason to enjoy. He’s already met college star, Angel Reese. But another person Morant is a fan of is NBA YoungBoy. In particular, Morant loves the YoungBoy lyric, “It’s a parade inside my city yeah.” Morant’s love of the lyric even appeared to start, or maybe fuel, beef between YoungBoy and Lil Baby. But now it’s apparently Morant’s turn to drop bars. After all, he’s got the time to do it.

Ja Morant Drops YoungBoy At Club

Morant was spotted performing several NBA YoungBoy songs at a club on May 5. The crowd goes wild as Morant performs. However, what really makes this story is people’s reactions to the impromptu set. “Somebody said he’s really a rapper he just hoop to pay the bills,” writes one commentator. “Happy he don’t gotta play with brooks no more,” writes another, referencing the news that the Grizzlies will be releasing Dillon Brooks.

Although, not everyone was a fan of the news. “He really think he him,” one person writes. Another chimes in with He better not show a gun again like last time,” referring to the weapons charges that earned Morant a suspension. However, several people have stepped up to defend Morant from this line of commenting. “They need to let him live he ball great and deserve to turn up great also,” says one person. “I hope nobody hate he’s literally chillin’,” adds another. How do you feel about Morant’s performance? Let us know in the comments below. Be sure to make HotNewHipHop your first stop for all the latest basketball and music news.

Drake Links Up With Popular Mexican Artists At The Club

Drake has been in the headlines a lot recently. Normally, that would probably be a good thing. However, in Drake’s case, he’s probably not so happy about it. The rapper has been involuntarily involved in the new wave of AI music that has begun to saturate social platforms. From funny covers to nonexistent collaborations, AI creators are taking the concept and running with it. Drake isn’t too happy about it either. In fact, he called an AI-generated cover of Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feeling You)” the last straw. It’s not clear where to draw the line when it comes to AI “art.” Some musicians have even given people the go-ahead to use their voices as they choose.

Universal Music Group has called for streaming platforms to take down AI-generated content. It has been criticized by many other artists besides Drake, as well. It raises many issues, from copyright problems to plain old human rights. If any creator is able to use the likeness or voice of an artist with no consequences, what implications does that have? Drake is not the only musician who is worried about it. Sadly, it seems that the problem is only progressing further. More and more websites are cropping up that allow any user to use the voice of a rapper or singer to create a new song. While this is very worrying, it seems the real Drake may be collaborating with some new artists soon.

Is The Real Drake Planning On A New Collab Soon?

It looks like Drake might be collaborating with some Mexican artists in the near future. At least, that is what fans are speculating about after a recent video. The video, which was filmed in a club in Miami, was posted to an Instagram story. It shows Drake partying it up with rapper Chinito Pacas. The Mexican rapper just had his first Billboard 100 charting hit with “El Gordo Trae El Mando.” The video is captioned “taking it to the next level.” While that could simply mean that the two are partying hard together, some think a collaboration is imminent.

“Smart man. Keep connecting with every culture and make dope music,” one comment said in support. “Drake unlocking the bélicon flow,” another user joked. Some, however, were not so supportive of a potential collab. They compared Drake’s behavior to that of 6ix9ine, who recently released several songs that are primarily in Spanish. Of course, 6ix9ine is half Mexican and half Puerto Rican, so it makes sense for him to do so. Whether or not it makes sense for Drake is up to the listeners. What do you think about the possibility of a collaboration between Drake and Chinito Pacas? Let us know in the comment section below.

Boosie Badazz Reveals He Charges $40K For Podcast Interviews, Prefers Them Over Club Hostings

Boosie Badazz just revealed that he charges $40K for his now iconic and quite frequent podcast interviews. Moreover, he also said that he prefers to make his money that way, rather than by participating in club hostings. While he admitted that venue walkthroughs and similar appearances might net him more money, he’d rather be cautious. After all, being in a cramped and amped public space like that is a headache even if you’re not a celebrity. As the Louisiana rapper explained, he’s very particular about where, when, and with who he decides to offer himself up to media, business, or entertainment.

“I can make 30, 40 thousand to sit on a couch to talk,” Boosie explained. “That’s way safer than that club with all them guns in that b***h, gotta leave the club. [I’m] in front of somebody who ain’t gon’ hurt me. I think y’all should be happy I’m doing podcasts. I’mma live [way longer] doing podcasts. Way less danger doing podcasts. Would you rather do a show for 60 or podcast for 45? I made that decision the other day. I took the 45 over the 60. The 60 I had to pay for flights, hotels, going to a dangerous a** city. S**t about being careful, man. I can sit for 45 minutes on a couch and just talk s**t. 40 something thousand dollars, I mean, that’s a blessing bro.”

Boosie Talks Charging $40K For Podcast Talks Over Hostings

Of course, the 40-year-old stirred the pot with his interviews on multiple occasions, whether on standard podcasts or less defined media. For example, he called out T.I. in a recent interview with VladTV for allegedly snitching on his dead cousin. “If he did that, you’re a f***in’ rat, too,” he said. “I don’t spare no-motherf***in’-body… if you cooperate with law enforcement to get you out of trouble… that means you’re a rat.” Also, he canceled their joint album.

Since then, the two engaged in some heated back-and-forths, although it’s mostly been T.I. taking the shots. Recently, he called Boosie out for skipping an invitation to a live show where he had paperwork to prove his story’s truth. It’s been a strange beef, for sure, but an oddly difficult one to pick a side on. Regardless of your take, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Boosie Badazz.
