JT of the City Girls is too self-aware, confident, and fun-loving to do anything but the latter, as she recently showed on Twitter. Moreover, someone tweeted out an old picture of her wearing some interesting clubbing attire. Heeled boots, tiny leather shorts, and nothing but an open white blazer as her top certainly made for a risqué look. Still, a lot of people rocked with it, but maybe the rapper thought that it would be best for another occasion. “Why was I at the club like this fr!!!!!!” she quote-replied with a slew of crying emojis.

Regardless, JT’s known for some killer style, and sometimes for her revealing and bare choices when it comes to it. For example, for her recent Beats By Dre x Mowalola campaign, she only wore the headphones she advertised and nothing else. Of course, the Florida MC’s fashion passion sometimes goes to scary heights for some, and a few users were quite critical of the NSFW campaign as a whole. Earlier this week, Latto and Sexyy Red starred in the music video for Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants” remix, adding their own explicit verses to the track. Immediately, however, listeners pointed out Latto’s line “Gimme that neck like Benzino.” Latto and Coi have had their issues in the past, and many took this as a jab at Coi. She took to social media amid the chatter, sharing a screenshot of a text conversation between her and her father. In the chat, he tells her that Latto simply “admires” her, encouraging her to “stay focused.”

Coi responded, telling her father “I love how these lil stupid situations bring us together.” She also took to Twitter, writing, “If you need to go viral, just mention my name. It works every time [kissing emojis]. enjoy !” It appears as though something positive was able to come out of the apparent jab, and clearly the remix didn’t get in the way of her love for Sexyy Red. By now, you might’ve already heard of the arrest of Erica Mena, Bambi, and ZellSwag due to a fight that broke out at a club venue. Moreover, we still don’t know exactly why it broke out in the first place, although Saucy Santana (Zell’s boo) had some context to offer. For example, he said that Erica was very drunk and got into it with security, and apparently that eventually roped in Bambi and ZellSwag, who was trying to break things up. Of course, Santana fled the scene as soon as things turned sour, because he’s too far ahead in his career to deal with all that. Since this news broke, footage of him fleeing and of the brawl’s chaos in general has been flying all over social media.

Furthermore, we now have a new clip to examine that validates Saucy Santana’s description of Erica Mena. Maybe that’s putting it a bit harshly, but all that the video seemingly shows is that the “Love & Hip Hop” star was having a lot of fun, but that doesn’t necessarily mean she caused all this. Regardless, the new footage shows her jumping and screaming in her chair. Hilariously enough, Santana laughs from his seat as he holds out a hand to protect himself from her in case she falls.

While holding a bottle of champagne and surrounded by women, Shmurda briefly disappears from view as he appears to slip and fall. While the various partygoers appear briefly concerned for Shmurda, he quickly pops back up and immediately goes back to partying.

Of course, Shmurda has been living large as of late. Working backward, he was recently seen going absolutely ham at a 50 Cent concert. Before that, he was partying his way across Europe. Shmurda Has Wisdom For His Fans

But aside from the partying, Shmurda also shared some wisdom with his last month. “Hey guys, once you pass 21, you can’t have opps bro,” he said. “You too old for opps. Not you got some fucking opps.” He continued: “If you 30 and you telling me about some opps, get ya dumbass on. Ya big stupid ass. Too old for opps. You supposed to be cleaned up. This comes after Shmurda said he wasn’t even that much of a fan of rap culture. “Rap is supposed to be telling muthafuckas to go from negative to positive, coming from poverty to go to riches…and how to stay in that and how to change,” he continued. “That’s the shit that I want to hear. I wanna hear about living life. “I don’t know nothing about no rappers,” he added. “[The] only time I listen to rap is when I’m in the club.”

However, it appears that things may have got out of hand at some point.

Rick Ross Escapes The Club, But DJ Envy Can’t Escape Rick Ross

While Rick Ross was able to safely escape the club, one person who hasn’t been able to Ross is DJ Envy. Envy is currently embroiled in a variety of real estate lawsuits. The primary of these lawsuits is in relation to an alleged real estate scam that Envy has been accused of. Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini claim that Envy and two others defrauded them out of $1.5 million in investment for an apartment complex that never came to be. The two men claim they invested in two real estate companies associated with Envy, who never followed through on the project.

“Time to tattoo that hairline too,” Rick Ross wrote on his Instagram Story alongside news of the lawsuits. He continued, posting more reports to his story. “Career center foreclosure,” he captioned one, asking if the DJ’s wife “still does feet” in another. Meanwhile, Ross has also spent time with Tony Robinson, a one-time NFL player who has dedicated himself to exposing Envy. Envy has since sued Robinson for defamation. He claims that the former quarterback has falsely called him a “thief”, “scammer”, and has also falsely accused him of running a “Ponzi scheme”.

A Famous Club Owned By Jay-Z Just Closed After 20 Years

According to XXL, Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in New York has closed after 20 years. Jay opened up the club in Manhattan two decades ago with it serving as the flagship location for a series of 40/40 clubs throughout the country. The location reportedly closed its doors at the end of July. While there are plans to supposedly open a new location somewhere in New York later this year, the familiar location where it stood for 20 years has now officially ceased operations. The club has had some issues in the past with two notable incidents in 2012 standing out. It was briefly shut down for health code violations and was sued by a former chef for $1.5 million.

Since opening the original 40/40 club in Manhattan others have popped up around the country. Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Brooklyn, and Atlanta got their own versions of the club in following years. The former two have since closed with the Vegas location in particular not lasting very long. Though the venture ultimately came to a close, Jay-Z is still among the most impressive businessmen in rap. Earlier this month Variety released a list of the best hip-hop executives and of course, Jay was included. He made the list alongside artists like 50 Cent, Dr, Dre, Diddy, Lil Wayne, and more.

Last week, Jay-Z spotted a fan on NBC News showing off canvas painting of Beyonce that she took with her to the Renaissance tour. Clearly, Jay liked the paintings and reached out to in order to purchase the paintings from the fan. Her name was Lauryn Michele and she got to meet Jay and have a photo-op with him as he purchased the pieces.

Jay-Z is also looking into soccer ownership. His Roc Nation company recently made some investments into international soccer in Brasil and Italy. In a new video posted to Instagram yesterday, Swizz Beatz is driving around with Alicia Keys. When Swizz first points the camera in her direction she doesn’t even want to look at it, probably because she knows what’s coming. In between laughter, Swizz tells the story of the pair at the club, when Keys tried to order carrots instead of a drink. Though she tries to defend herself, responding “I was hungry,” Swizz clearly has his mind made up. In the caption of the post, he writes “The white side is in full effect again” and follows it with a number of carrot emojis.

Fans in the comments were mixed with some coming to Alicia Keys’ defense. “I’m her defense, if they have wings they should have carrots,” says the top comment on the post. Another similar argument says “I feel her tho like if y’all got food in the club why y’all don’t got Carrots or Celery? That’s basic sides to wings & I know they got wings in da club.” Others in the comments are more aligned with Swizz. “lmaooooooooooo girl u better go ask for sum lemon pepper wings,” says another top comment. Finally, one of the top comments on the post ignores the debate entirely and takes the chance to point out how good Keys looks. “She looks like she hasn’t aged at all,” it reads.

Earlier today, four new videos of Miami hanging out with R&B singer Keyshia Cole hit the internet. In the clips, the pair seem to be dancing nonstop to just about anything that gets put on. Some fans in the comments did point out a difference in energy between the pair. “Keyshia looking like she trying to keep up but really want to be home,” reads one of the top comments on the post.

Yung Miami herself has been subject to a number of interesting news stories recently. Fans found themselves doing mental gymnastics after she called herself “the black Oprah” in a viral clip. While she did clarify that she just meant Oprah is perceived as less black by many, it still rubbed some fans the wrong way. She also spoke loudly on the Carlee Russell situation. “Carlee dead a*s wrong! Shooting After Mozzy Performance Causes Club Closure

Hip-hop fans recently experienced a shock when authorities arrested Mozzy following a shooting at a nightclub he performed at. Moreover, it occurred on Saturday (July 1) at City Nightz nightclub in Wichita, Kansas and left nine people injured due to gunshot wounds and two injured due to being trampled amid the chaos. Police stated that these victims, both male and female are aged between 21 and 34, and five of these received treatment at local hospitals. Furthermore, the rapper hosted an afterparty following a performance of his at another venue, but the unrelated distressing events held heavy consequences for the club. According to local outlet 12 News, authorities hit City Nightz with a 30-day suspension, or in other words, temporary closure.

What’s more is that law enforcement already made significant strides in identifying the true culprit for this shooting. The Wichita Police Department arrested 31-year-old Missouri resident Brandon Young in connection with the incident. Not only that, but Chief Joe Sullivan told 12 News that Young actually worked as a security guard for Mozzy that night. In addition, Sullivan stressed the importance of screening people before entering the club as an important safety precaution that could’ve prevented these injuries.

Also, he brought up that City Nightz faced 12 prior occurrences like these this year alone. “I believe it was totally preventable. You can’t have gun violence under control. If you have one homicide, one shooting, that’s too many. We were actually below last year in shooting victims, but due to the number of the shooting victims that happened in that one incident, we were slightly above last year. It’s a major concern for us… I am really hoping this is a wakeup call for club owners across our city, not just in Old Town.”

Meanwhile, authorities released the California MC shortly after his brief stint. Presumably, they interrogated him concerning the shooting and let him go on no charges for what went down. Apparently he saw Lavigne’s show from the DJ booth’s VIP section, and they linked up amid smiles and laughs shortly after.

Furthermore, they eventually exited the venue with their respective crew, although Tyga waited for Avril Lavigne to finish taking pictures with fans before doing so. For those unaware, TMZ reported that they split up amicably after deciding that they did everything they could do in the relationship. What made it such a hot-button pairing in pop culture, though, wasn’t just because of the musical crossover. In fact, they went public in March, just a month after she called off her engagement to fellow pop-punk star Mod Sun.
