Kanye West’s $1.5 Million Church Left In Disarray After Just 9 Months

Earlier this year, Kanye West purchased a $1.5 million plot of land where the Cornerstone Christian Church stood in Los Angeles. When the purchase was first made back in March he seemed to insinuate that his original plan was to move his Donda Academy into the building. But with the Academy subject to numerous lawsuits for its various safety hazards and reported occupational discrimination, those plans never materialized.

Kanye West recently returned to LA after spending a controversial few months around Europe where he got into trouble numerous times. But since being back in California he hasn’t taken the chance to revisit the church he bought back in March. The building itself is reportedly in a state of total disarray and has been abandoned since earlier this year. Pictures of the building show boarded-up windows and trash discarded all around the premises. It’s unclear at the moment if West has any plans for the building going forward. Kanye West’s return to the US coincided with an exciting announcement for fans. He announced a new collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign called that was supposed to come out last week. The project was also supposed to include some fan-favorite leaks like “New Body” which features Nicki Minaj. But when the time came for the project to be released it never materialized.

Now, Billboard is reporting that the new release date for the project is New Year’s Eve. Despite the announcement Kanye fans aren’t particularly getting their hopes up given the rapper’s track record for making release dates. Chrisean Rock Blesses Her Son At Church, Blueface Confirms He Trusts His Co-Parent

Blueface and Chrisean Rock spent the better part of the 23-year-old’s pregnancy at odds with one another, but still, their son arrived healthily earlier this month. As the father of three expected, his co-parent has already been back outside living life as normal, just days after giving birth. While he slammed her for posing for fan photos with her hospital bracelet still intact this weekend, on Sunday (September 10) afternoon, Blue reacted positively to seeing his baby boy, Chrisean Jr., being blessed at church with his mom.

In the video below, the Baddies cast member and her loved ones surround the infant while speaking powerful words over his life. The pastor notably blessed Blue, who wasn’t present, as well, wishing nothing but the best for Chrisean Jr.’s future. Upon seeing footage of the special moment, the MILF Music founder tweeted, “That’s more like it, don’t leave his side. That’s a Blueface baby, hallelujah 🙏.”

Minutes after that, the California native retweeted an adorable photo of his little one from the ceremony. Chrisean Jr.’s face is hardly visible as he peers out from his teddy bear outfit, big brown eyes full of curiosity regarding the world around him. Some have already said that the baby resembles his mom, but time will tell which parent he truly favours more.

Later in the afternoon, Blue got some things off his chest in a lengthy tweet. “I trust Chrisean with my son,” he confirmed. “That’s it, nobody else. She’s actually very nurturing [and] caring, good with kids no doubt. [She’s] just a lil impatient [and] the baby NEEDS patience. Can’t just get up [and] go, ‘No more I’m being patient as hell.’ You don’t think I wanna get up [and] go rn? Timing not right,” the 26-year-old explained.

Chrisean Rock Gets Emotional While Donating To Her Church

Chrisean Rock recently paid her hometown church a visit, blessing her pastor with a heartfelt gift. In a new clip, the performer and reality star stands on stage with Dr. Mike Freeman, reflecting on a moving experience she had as a child. She explains that as a kid, she was still coming into her religion, but could still “feel the presence of God.” Chrisean also says that she didn’t question the concept of tithes and offerings, and felt “motivated and amped up” about the word of God. “It’s what you owe him,” she says of the donations.

“I didn’t have nothing to give,” she reflects, “and I was hungry.” Chrisean reveals that although she didn’t have much to offer the church, she still wanted to donate something. She explains that a man nearby gave her $5 to hand to the pastor. “This could be some McDonald’s money,” she recalled thinking about the donation. Chrisean then reveals that Dr. Freeman ended up giving her all the donations from that day’s service, later asking her what she planned to do with it.

“Chrisean, what?” he asks her, in shock at the massive offering. “That’s how you gave it to me,” she says. As the pastor repeatedly asks her if she’s sure she wants to donate so much, Chrisean insists. “That’s what the lord put on my heart,” she reveals. Kanye West took his daughter North to church on Sunday alongside his wife, Bianca Censori. Paparazzi caught the three attending a service in Los Angeles together. West wore a white undershirt underneath a black zip-up jacket with matching black pants.

West reportedly married Censori, who works for West’s Yeezy brand, in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills back in January, although the marriage was not legally certified. He and Kim Kardashian finalized their divorce in November 2022 and continue to co-parent. A source for ET recently reported that Kardashian is “fine” with Censori being around their kids. “Bianca has been around their kids,” the source told the outlet. “Kim, ultimately, just wants Kanye to be at peace. So if Bianca helps with that, then it’s fine.”

Appearing on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast in December, she broke down into tears while discussing their dynamic. Last year, Kanye West was almost constantly in the headlines. Whether for feuding with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, or proclaiming his adoration for Hitler and his Nazis, there was no shortage of drama attached to the father of four’s name throughout 2022.

As December came to a close, however, reports surfaced claiming that the rapper is missing. According to his former business manager, Thomas St. John, Ye has been unreachable for several weeks now.

Some initially speculated that the 45-year-old could just be laying low after a chaotic year. Others immediately expressed their concerns. After so many tumultuous headlines surrounding West for months, the sudden silence feels undeniably jarring to fans.

Now one week into 2023, the father of four’s name began making rounds on Twitter. Specifically, people questioned where he could possibly be. “So are Britney Spears and Kanye West for real missing??” one user asked, addressing another ongoing dark pop culture theory regarding the “Gimme More” singer.

According to, to another tweet, Ye may be safe and sound in his happy place – church. “Eagle-eyed fans of [the Yeezy founder] spotted [him] at church after some time of missing rumours,” a post from Saturday (January 7) says.

In the accompanying photo, a man closely resembling West is seen wearing an army green jacket and a baseball cap with jeans. He stands with at least two other men, with reports stating they were conversation at the chapel.

At this time, it remains unclear if the apparent image of the Atlanta-born creative is recent. Following St. John’s prior claims, many accused him of spreading “fake news.”

Last month he revealed in court that Ye went missing as his former manager was attempting to sue him for breach of contract. The former reportedly agreed to pay the latter a $300K monthly retainer, though an “aggressive” meeting between the two ended those payments.

“[St. John] needed a guarantee that [West] wouldn’t abruptly abandon the commercial relationship, in addition to the financial costs and hazards associated with committing to [Kanye West] as client,” a lawsuit obtained by AllHipHop says. “But Mr. St. John offered to settle for a contract lasting at least 18 months.”

Billy Woods Drops Ethereal New Album, “Church”

Billy Woods is well-respected as one of the most elaborate and mysterious lyricists working today, with an inspired cult following that’s built up an independent empire for the New York native. He’s had (as usual) quite the prolific year, with a new album in April titled Aethiopes and a stand-out appearance on Earl Sweatshirt’s latest, SICK! Now, Woods has dropped a surprise project for fans produced by Messiah Musik that hits all the abstract hip-hop notes you’d expect.

Press around Church describes it as “an exploration of memory, faith, marijuana, and fate,” and explains that it tackles “the price of love and the cost of doing business.” Woods coasts through these topics with the same craftsmanship and narrative detail he’s known for, weaving verses that feel strung out and disjointed while keeping you in the track’s trance. Production-wise, the album is generally quite abstract and choppy with its atmospheric use of samples, soundscapes, and off-beat drums. There’s variety, too: boom-bap-turned-jazz-pastiche on the opener “Paraquat,” the lumbering and disorienting “Fever Grass,” and the trippy cloud rap on the closer “Magdalene.”

That last track features rapper Elucid, known for collaborating frequently with Woods as of late under the name Armandhammer. Church also features AKAI SOLO, Fat Ray, and FIELDED. Billy Woods is known for these extensive collaborations, such as his project with The Alchemist, Haram, in March of last year.
