Bree Runway is continuing to live her best life, after discovering that one of her favorite artists is a fan of her song, “That Girl.” Over the weekend, Christina Aguilera incorporated the track into her performance of “Glam” at her Vegas residency. Runway excitedly shared a video of the moment to social media.
“THAT GIRLLLL!!!!! IN YOUR SET?!?! get me on a flight to vegas NOWWWWW!!!!!!” Runway captioned. “I almost FELL when I heard my voice omg.”
Things got even crazier to kick off the year, when Aguilera herself hopped on and responded to a Rolling Stone tweet about Runway’s series of posts. “Come to Vegas anytime,” the pop star shared, tagging Runway with a kiss emoji.
“OHHHHH MY GOODNESS??? What is GOING ONNNNNNNNNN,” Runway continued. She then replied back to Aguilera, “SAY NO MORE MY GOOD SISTA,” with an equally-sweet crying emoji and a heart.
Runway also revealed that she used to help choreograph Aguilera’s “Dirrty” song for the band she was in during high school, making it feel like a truly “iconic” moment.
likeeee i choreographed dirty for me and the band i had in school, to eat our opps up and we did ?!?! Like do you know how iconic this shit is ?????
Christina Aguilera is no stranger to fame, and neither is she a stranger to love. For many years, the iconic singer has had a well-documented love life that has been a subject of public interest. Besides her chart-topping hits, Christina Aguilera has also garnered some attention for her romantic relationships. Her dating history, as far as we know, dates back to the early 2000s.
However, her romantic interests since then have actually been very few. Besides speculations and rumors about who she dated in the ‘90s, her first notable relationship was in 2000. From her backup dancer boo in 2000 to her current partner, here’s a list of the gents Christina Aguilera has been in relationships with.
The first of only a handful of her relationships, Christina Aguilera and her backup dancer Jorge Santos took a liking to each other. Subsequently, they began dating, marking the pop star’s first public relationship. It was young love, but it seemed quite potent while it lasted. According to MTV, Aguilera’s romance with Jorge Santos inspired two of her songs, “Infatuation” and “Underappreciated.” On the former, she sings about falling in love, and on the latter, she sings about a relationship losing its spark. The couple were together for two years, breaking up in 2002.
Jordan Bratman (2002 – 2010)
Shortly after her relationship with Santos ended, Christina Aguilera started dating music executive Jordan Bratman. After dating for about two years, the couple announced their engagement in February 2005. Nine months later, on November 19, 2005, Aguilera married the record producer. Following their marriage, the couple welcomed their first and only child together, Max, on January 12, 2008. Surprisingly, the “Dirrty” singer filed for divorce two years after Max’s birth.
Regarding the reason why she filed for a divorce from Bratman, Christina Aguilera told People, “Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it. I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up. When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer. That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.” Evidently, the decision was not an easy one to make for the popstar. However, it’s what she thought was best and most healthy. The couple share custody of their son.
The longest of her three public relationships, Christina Aguilera has evidently found the love of her life in Matthew Rutler. Their relationship has been going strong for over a decade now, and shows no signs of ending. Xtina met Rutler on the set of the 2010 film Burlesque, which she starred in. The couple started dating soon after, while Christina Aguilera was finalizing her divorce with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. After about three years of courtship, the MasterClass executive proposed to Aguilera on Valentine’s Day, 2014. Six months later, they celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Summer Rain Rutler. While the two have remained unmarried, the pair have been stable for over a decade.
Christina Aguilera has been churning out hits since the late 1990s. After rising to fame as a child star on The Mickey Mouse Club, she began a highly successful music career. Moreover, with her signature, powerful voice that could bring any house down, she quickly became a notable pop star. Since then, Christina Aguilera has topped the charts worldwide, and delivered many now-iconic hits.
During her almost three-decade-long music career, Aguilera has also notably changed her style. While her powerful voice has stayed intact, she has adopted multiple personas, switching up her sound along with them. However, with each new era, she has maintained her dedicated fans and gained new ones along the way. Indeed, Christina is widely regarded as a pop icon for a reason, and while she has an enormous list of incredible songs, these seven became gargantuan hits.
7. “Beautiful” (2002)
“Beautiful” is not only one of her biggest hits ever, but Christina Aguilera has become synonymous with the track. Regarded as her “signature song,” “Beautiful” is a moving, inspirational ballad focusing on the listener’s self-confidence. The Grammy-winning number is now considered an anthem of self-worth and inner beauty. Moreover, it is one of the singles that stamped Aguilera as an LGBTQIA+ icon. She has performed it on all her tours, and its empowering lyrics remain important for anyone who stumbles upon the song today. Without a doubt, Christina Aguilera has many hits, but “Beautiful” will always hold a special spot in her fans’ hearts.
6. “Feel This Moment” – Pitbull feat. Christina Aguilera (2013)
Christina Aguilera was not left out of the dance-pop craze of the 2010s. She was a featured act on Pitbull’s single, “Feel This Moment,” an anthemic club banger. The single follows through with its title, detailing the positives about enjoying one’s life. On the track, Pitbull raps about success, while Aguilera lends her powerful vocals to the chorus. Furthermore, the song was praised for its interpolation of A-ha’s iconic single, “Take On Me.” The single not only cracked the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10, but it was also certified quadruple platinum. The EDM-inspired track also found a large audience in many European countries.
5. “Ain’t No Other Man” (2006)
Aguilera has switched up her style and image a few times throughout her career. After shedding off her cutesy teen pop star image for a darker, raunchier look, she switched things up again in the mid-2000s. Her fifth album, Back to Basics, saw her adopting a more vintage style. “Ain’t No Other Man” was the album’s lead single and was praised by fans and critics alike. Also, the song’s 1920s sound and music video were lauded and fit perfectly with her large voice. The Grammy-winning single peaked within the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
4. “Lady Marmalade” – Christina Aguilera, Mya, Pink, & Lil’ Kim (2001)
Upon release, “Lady Marmalade” polarized critics. However, the song quickly became a commercial success, enjoying significant radio airplay in numerous countries. The collective single by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and Pink has become one of the most timeless hits in their discographies. While there seemed to have been trouble on the set of the music video’s shoot, it wasn’t reflected in the finished product.
Notably, “Lady Marmalade” is a sexier, raunchier, and campier version of the original hit of the same name. Each singer delivered their lines in their signature fashion, with Lil’ Kim spicing up the track with a much-needed rap verse. The successful track peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the UK Singles Chart.
3. “Say Something” – A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera (2013)
After the success of “Moves Like Jagger,” Christina Aguilera churned out more hits in the early 2010s, including “Say Something.” The collaborative single with the duo, A Great Big World, eventually went on to achieve a 6x platinum certification. Furthermore, the emotional ballad received great praise from fans and critics alike. Aguilera’s stirring vocals were particularly singled out for acclaim, as well as her appearance in the music video. It may not have topped the charts in many countries, but it sold considerably well worldwide.
2. “Genie In A Bottle” (1999)
Considered her official debut as a solo singer, “Genie in a Bottle” marked the first of many chart-topping hits for Christina Aguilera. After gaining moderate prominence as a child star, she became famous after singing on the soundtrack for Disney’s Mulan. Following the success of the single “Reflection,” she came out swinging with the suggestive single “Genie in a Bottle.” Now considered one of her signature songs, Aguilera became the face of the “good girl” teen pop image of the late ’90s. The song soon after took over the world, topping the charts in 21 countries.
1. “Moves Like Jagger” – Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera (2011)
After a moderately successful late-2000s, Aguilera shot to the top of the charts with “Moves Like Jagger.” The iconic track by Maroon 5 has now been certified diamond and is easily the biggest hit of Aguilera’s career. It is also one of the best-selling singles of all time. Maroon 5 and Aguilera bounce off each other effortlessly, and the impeccable dance number boasts some solid vocals. “Moves Like Jagger” also succeeded greatly in Europe, topping the charts in multiple countries.
Latto and Sexyy Red recently remixed Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants,” and Latto just aligned with food-related subject matter in a much more literal sense. On Thursday, October 12, Latto and Christina Aguilera joined forces for a Just Eat ad that must have had an extraordinary budget.
In an Instagram Reel posted by Latto and Just Eat, a UK-based online food delivery brand, Latto and Aguilera are swimming in Victorian-esque gowns and icy jewels while singing in a mansion that could also easily pass for a museum. Latto raps in her always-confident flow, which is complemented by Aguilera’s bonkers operatic range.
“Did somebody say just eat?” Latto spits. “Oh, you thought it was just burgers and fries? / They got more flavors than you tasted or you heard in your life / Ooh, this is what the app do / It ain’t only fast food / Switchin’ styles like opera to rap, too / Yummy!”
Latto continues to impressively make Just Eat’s expansion into grocery delivery sound like any of her past hard bars about much more compelling things and inserts her playful lyricism with lines like “I’m a bad girl but my takeout badder / What you mean, dude? I could cop a taco platter.” To top it off, Aguilera’s final falsetto shatters a chandelier. In other words, money well spent by Just Eat.
Christina Aguilera, often called the “Voice of a Generation,” hails from Staten Island, New York. Her vocal prowess became evident early on, leading her to performances that hinted at the superstar she was destined to become. Embracing her role as a mother, she’s often spoken about its profound impact on her personally and professionally. In all her narratives, authenticity remains a hallmark, making her not just a musical icon but a relatable human being.
Business Ventures & Philanthropy
Aguilera’s influence isn’t confined to the recording studio or the stage. She’s delved into the worlds of fashion, television, and fragrances, each venture mirroring her distinct persona. Her stint as a judge on The Voice introduced her to a new generation of fans, while her fragrance line became an international success. Additionally, on the philanthropic front, Christina has always advocated for various causes, notably world hunger. Leveraging her global reach, she’s made significant strides in raising awareness and funds. This further proves that her heart is as grand as her voice.
Is an awards show really an awards show if Bad Bunny isn’t there? It increasingly feels like the answer is no, and he was recognized at the GLAAD Awards for using his ubiquitous platform to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Puerto Rican megastar was presented the Vanguard Award by Ricky Martin, who praised Benito as “the most-streamed artist in history is loudly standing with trans women and the entire community” while letting “LGBTQ people dance, sing, love, and live lives authentically” (as relayed by The Hollywood Reporter).
THR also translated Bad Bunny’s acceptance speech from Spanish to English:
“I always say I don’t do anything expecting an award. I don’t do music for an award, I don’t do videos, my appearance [for an award]. I do everything because of how I feel and that’s all I have done. I believe that following my heart has led me to where I am, following my heart has brought me here receiving this award, surrounded by such beautiful people. I believe that when you have a good heart and you give love, that’s what you receive back, and that’s what I’ve wanted to do all this time with my music, with what I represent, with my space, with my concerts, with my shows, with all I do. That’s all I want to do. Give and receive love.”
Aguilera was given GLAAD’s Advocate For Change Award, and Pope received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. When the honorees were revealed in early February, Varietyreported that Aguilera has “helped raise over $500 million toward HIV research with MAC cosmetics,” and GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis explained why Bad Bunny deserved to be this year’s Vanguard recipient.
“Bad Bunny uses his role as one of the world’s most popular music artists to boldly shine a light on LGBTQ people and issues, including transgender equality and ending violence against trans women of color,” Ellis said. “By consistently advocating for our community, elevating our stories, and demanding action from anti-LGBTQ leaders, Bad Bunny redefines the positive influence Latin music artists can have within the LGBTQ community, and has set an example for all artists.”
Previous GLAAD Vanguard recipients include Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher, and Janet Jackson.

Chaka Khan found herself at the forefront of the music news cycle last week after appearing on an episode of the Los Angeles Magazine Presents: The Originals podcast. On the show, she was asked about Rolling Stone‘s recent list of the all-time best singers, and she threw shade at vocalists like Mariah Carey and Adele.
Now, Khan has explained herself.
In an Instagram post shared last night (March 5), Khan broke down what happened and offered an apology, writing:
“Recently, I was asked about a list of the ‘greatest singers of all time’ and instead of questioning the need for such a list, I was pitted against other artists and I took the bait.
As artists, we are unfairly put into ‘boxes’, ‘categories’ or on ‘lists.’ Being an artist or musician is not a competition. It’s a gift, for which I am truly grateful.
It was not my intention to cause pain or upset anyone. To anyone that felt this way, I sincerely apologize.
Thank you for all the love everyone has shown me, unconditionally. I have always been about empowering others and I started a foundation for that very purpose. I will be announcing soon.
Empowering all artists is most important because we truly are the architects of change…and change begins within the heart. I love you all and God bless – Chaka.”
Over 20 years have passed since Pink and Christina Aguilera released their pop-hit “Lady Marmalade,” but the beef continues to stew. In a recent interview on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, the 43-year-old dished out on drama that ensued on the set of the music video shoot. “Lady Marmalade,” which was a part of the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack, also featured Lil’ Kim and Mya. The 2001 track allegedly deepened a feud between the two popstars, which continues to unravel today.
In the interview, Wallace opened up the dialogue regarding Pink’s relationship with Xtina. Pink described the ongoing problems to be a conflict between two different personalities. “I think the shade,” she explains, “where people get it twisted with me is that if you ask me a question, I’m gonna answer it honestly. I’m going to tell you my experience of how it happened. And to me that’s not shade that’s just honesty.” The “Try” singer continued to say, “now, I should know better by now that total honesty doesn’t work in this world. People want to hear nice things, and they want you to clean it all up for them, but it’s just not my way.”
Pink Dishes Out On Christina Aguilera Feud
Pink continues to describe her experience of how the “Candyman” singer had wanted to fight on the set of “Lady Marmalade.” Allegedly, the whole ordeal commenced after Pink sat in Xtina’s chair, which provoked the star to want “to shut down the entire production.” “And I didn’t know I was sitting in her chair, Pink told Wallace, “and I’m also, I’ve been, I was homeless at 15 like, you can’t talk to me any kind of way. And so, I’ve you know, you picked the wrong one. But that’s over, it’s over.”
Although Christina’s attempt at a brawl hadn’t gone through, Pink continues to hold negative sentiments about the collaboration project. Just last week, she spoke with Buzzfeed about her disliking of the whole “Lady Marmalade” shoot. Specifically, she put the blame on “some personalities.” While Pink denies stirring the pot, she does remain certain of her version of the truth. “I’m not “shading” someone by telling it over and over and over what actually happened,” she tweeted in response to the matter.
