So the verdict is in, and Ahsoka is returning to Disney+. As reported in Variety, the Rosario Dawson-fronted Star Wars spinoff series is in development for a sophomore season.

The news broke after Jon Favreau announced a new Star Wars film featuring fan-favorite characters, The Mandalorian and Grogu, coming to the silver screen for the first time. ICYMI, Dawson came into the Star Wars universe after fans made the idea of her playing Ahsoka go viral. The feeling between the studio and Dawson was mutual and led to Lucasfilm casting her in the titular role. That’s what you call speaking truth to power.

In 2020, Dawson told Vanity Fair, “Someone tweeted me and fancast me. I retweeted back and I was like, ‘Absolutely, yes please’ and #AhsokaLives.’ And apparently that got the attention of someone who has been doing the Star Wars press for years. Marvel Studios Severes Ties With Jonathan Majors Following Guilty Verdict

Marvel Studios has cut ties with Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in various MCU projects, after a New York jury found the actor guilty of assault on Monday. The jury found him guilty of one misdemeanor assault and one harassment violation in his trial regarding an alleged attack on Grace Jabbari. A Marvel studio representative confirmed the decision to Deadline.

While he received two guilty verdicts, the jury also found Majors not guilty of intentional assault in the third degree and of aggravated harassment in the second degree. Altogether the trial stems from an incident during a cab ride in Manhattan back in March.

Today, a jury determined that pattern of abuse and coercion culminated with Mr. Majors assaulting and harassing his girlfriend. We thank the jury for its service and the survivor for bravely telling her story despite having to relive her trauma on the stand.”

Marvel is loading their Disney+ series for 2024. According to Comic Book, with What If…? season two set for December, three new shows will arrive next year.

The series on the way will be TV-MA Hawkeye spinoff Echo, set for January 10 release, Wandavision spinoff Agatha: Darkhold diaries, and X-Men: The Series, revival in X-Men ’97.

Marvel will also have new movies, with Deadpool 3 set for July 26. It may be the loan film released in the year.

Disney also has series for Ironheart, Wakanda, Wonderman, Daredevil, and more set for the future. Ultimately, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is holding to the plan of putting out shows at a pace where “each get a chance to shine.”

If you recall, a video went viral of a young Kodak declaring that he was on his way to an audition for a Nickelodeon show. However, Yak revealed that he didn’t actually audition for Nickelodeon but instead, Disney for the sake of meeting Zendaya. “I never did [audition for Nick],” he revealed. “I wanted to audition for Shake It Up so I could push up on Zendaya.”

Evidently, things worked out for Kodak Black in the long-run. However, the video shed new light on Kodak’s childhood. Jonathan Majors’ “Magazine Dreams” Has Release Date Scrapped By Disney

Magazine Dreams, an upcoming drama starring Jonathan Majors, will no longer be released on December 8. Speaking with CNN, Disney confirmed that the film did not currently have a release date. Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney, acquired the distribution rights to the film after it opened to rave reviews at Sundance. Furthermore, Disney’s live-action Snow White film starring Rachel Zegler has been pushed back from March 2024 to March 2025.

However, the decision to delay Magazine Dreams was widely expected by industry experts. Majors’ trial for assault charges begins in late November. That makes early December an inopportune time to promote and release the film. Furthermore, the film features Majors as an amateur bodybuilder who resorts to increasingly violent means to pursue his dreams. Given the charges that Majors is facing in court, Disney would likely face backlash for being “tasteless” if they were to release the film. However, Majors still appeared in Season 2 of Loki, which was released earlier this month. Despite this, his future as Kang in the MCU is still unclear.

Meanwhile, Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend of Majors, surrendered to police in New York this week after her arrest was sought for an assault against Majors. Majors filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari in June amid an investigation into assault charges she filed against him in March. Jabbari is accused of hitting Majors’ hand and face, as well as damaging his coat. The confrontation reportedly occurred in the back of a New York cab.

Jabbari was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief. However, the DA has reportedly told the NYPD that they will not prosecute Jabbari. Per TMZ, a spokesperson for the DA’s office said that they have “no intention of prosecuting Jabbari for the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023.” In short, the DA is not interested in pursuing their key witness for charges their primary defendant raised three months after the incident in question. It’s unknown if Jabbari will testify at Majors’ trial next month.
