Chief Keef, Mike WiLL Made-It, & Sexyy Red Drop Off Music Video For “DAMN SHORTY”

Just over a month ago, Chief Keef and Mike WiLL Made-It, collaborated with Trap-A-Holics for their long-awaited mixtape DIRTY NACHOS. The rapper and producer tandem had been building up to this project for about a few years. In fact, the first single to be released for the project officially was “LOVE DON’T LIVE HERE,” which hit streaming platforms all the way back on June 15, 2021. Then, just a couple of months later of that same year, “HARLEY QUINN” dropped. Things would not ramp up again for the tape until February of this year with the self-titled track. Now, Keef and Mike are dropping the first music video and “DAMN SHORTY” is the first track up to bat.

The song had one of just three features on the 18-song tracklist and Sexyy Red was one of them. This marked the third time that Red and Keef collaborated. Before, the Chicago influencer laid down vocals for one track off the Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe). That was “Ghetto Princess,” but Keef also contributed to a remix of “(F My Baby Dad)” called “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Mama).”

Without a doubt, Mike WiLL Made-It and Chief Keef are some of the most respected artists we have in modern hip-hop. Both have contributed immensely to the trap rap/pop rap subgenres for over two decades. Each have worked with the best of the best and have numerous classics under their belts. We originally reported that the lead single for this new team effort would actually be previewing Almighty So 2. Chief Keef Announces “Hot Cheetos” Single For “Almighty So 2,” Fans Tired Of Constant Delays

There is a notorious bunch of rappers who are inconsistent when it comes to delivering on their album promises. Chicago’s Chief Keef is unfortunately in that group. While he is a highly respected and influential figure in the modern history of the genre, that is not enough for fans to excuse his shortcomings. In the 28-year-old’s case, die-hard listeners of his continue to impatiently wait for Almighty So 2.

People have been sitting around dying to hear what he has to offer on the sequel, but alas, it still is not here. If and when it does drop this year, Almighty So 2 will follow up on its predecessor nearly 11 years later. We say this year because Amazon Music and Genius have it slated for a release date in 2024. According to them, the project will be out on March 29. However, it is worth noting that Keef has not confirmed that. But, in addition to that news, the hitmaker has announced a single called “Hot Cheetos.”

The single will hit streaming on February 8 and we also have the cover art for it. Let us just say it is… interesting. It lives up to the title of the song, but Keef has fans questioning it. One says, “that cover is actually horrid.” Another adds, “Second picture is vile.” In addition to roasting the art, people are continuing to grow tired of the single announcements and want an album drop date. “Where’s the f*****g album,” someone says. “Imagine Carti, Kanye, and Chief Keef actually dropping,” adds another. Time will tell, but fans have something to look forward to at least?

What are your thoughts on Chief Keef announcing a new single for his highly-awaited LP Almighty So 2? Is the cover for “Hot Cheetos” one of the worst pieces of artwork you have ever seen for a song? Will this be the best song from the project? Do you actually think the album will drop in March? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Lil Yachty & Chief Keef In “Say Ya Grace” Music Video From Lyrical Lemonade: Watch

The new Lyrical Lemonade album All Is Yellow is finally out, and to name highlights off of it would be a much longer article than needed. Still, there is one track in particular that its team, artists, and fans seemed to take a liking to in particular: Chief Keef and Lil Yachty’s “Say Ya Grace.” Moreover, as expected from a creative like Cole Bennet, its visual treatment is pretty stunning from a technical standpoint, even if it’s not the flashiest of most complex presentation on paper. Some yellow tarps, filter effects, simple outfits, and cameos from Denzel Curry, G Herbo, and Big Sean make this a compelling package.

But all this is unsurprising if you’ve been following All Is Yellow‘s rollout, which contained no shortage of bangers as both singles and music videos. Take for example “Doomsday” with Juice WRLD and Cordae, which is a refreshing spin on old ideas in both lanes. For what it’s worth, Lil Yachty and Chief Keef still come through with a lot of charisma and personality in the video despite their simple set-up. Seeing MCs bring life to ad-libs and contrast their recording delivery is always a really fun part of visuals, and they don’t disappoint here.

Lyrical Lemonade’s “Say Ya Grace” Music Video With Chief Keef & Lil Yachty: Watch

Furthermore, while it’s Chief Keef’s only appearance on All Is Yellow, Lil Yachty also appears on the cut “Fallout” with Joey Bada$$ and Gus Dapperton. Back to “Say Ya Grace,” though, it’s a Sosa-produced cut that pairs an ethereal sample with icy drum patterns, and the two rappers provide all the energy necessary to take it over the top. Their vocal chemistry is potent here, and though we would’ve loved to hear more trade-offs, their matching tones are enough to satisfy. Hopefully it’s not the only collab that the two have in store.

Meanwhile, with other bangers like “Stop Giving Me Advice” from Dave and Jack Harlow, we’re excited to see how All Is Yellow ages throughout 2024. What did you think of the album and its accompanying visuals? Drop your thoughts in the comments section down below and check out the “Say Ya Grace” music video above.
