Megan Thee Stallion’s Booty Moves Like Water In Latest “Bongos” Twerking Video

Even if Megan Thee Stallion isn’t your favourite female lyricist, we’re willing to bet that her body-ody-ody is one of the first that comes to mind when you think of talented twerkers. Her bootylicious antics were missed during her social media hiatuses throughout 2023. Luckily for her fans, she’s been back in full force since dropping “Bongos” with Cardi B. The duo’s second joint single has inspired plenty of twerking content to land on social media, much like “WAP” did back in 2020.

Both Bardi and Thee Stallion have been shamelessly shaking their booties along to the catchy track over the past few weeks. Interestingly, each woman has been dealing with stress from drama with Nicki Minaj and Tory Lanez respectively, but dancing and flaunting their figures for the world to see appears to be therapeutic for them at this time. On Friday (September 23), the “Big Ole Freak” artist continued her streak of posting salacious videos with another clip captured in the dance studio while she expertly moves her cheeks along to a “Bongos” remix.

“Hey hotties 😛,” Thee Stallion wrote in her caption, letting her bodacious behind do the talking. In the comments, her ever-loyal fan base has been sharing thirsty reactions, from confessing to screen recording the post in case the fashionista ever deletes it, to calling her out for giving their boyfriends the opportunity to see her looking so fine. “What muscle is this? Like what do we have to develop/work out to do this😂?” one user innocently inquired.

Elsewhere in the news regarding Megan Thee Stallion, fans are hoping to see the Houston native make an appearance with Beyonce during the RENAISSANCE World Tour stop in her hometown. Nothing is official just yet, but still, both the BeyHive and Thee Hotties would be more than pleased to see the two legends perform their “S*vage (Remix)” together. Joe Budden Calls Cardi B His ‘Girl’ After His Previous ‘Bongos’ Comments Left ‘Room For Gray Area’

Joe Budden is setting the record straight about his rumored feud with Cardi B, and retracted his past comments about her song “Bongos,” during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

“I don’t click on things when they can hurt me emotionally,” he said. “Cardi is my girl, so when the headlines is, ‘Cardi B Tears Into Joe Budden’ — come on, man. That hurts. That hurts my heart.”

“And I wouldn’t have been saying that directly to Cardi because I f*ck with Cardi,” Budden added. “I was talking to a few of you other people, but now I have to address the Cardi sh*t.”

A few weeks ago, Budden had upset the Bronx rapper by saying her collab with Megan Thee Stallion sounded like a “science project,” according to HipHopDX.

“I hate the song,” he shared. “It’s not better than any of the songs like it. ‘WAP,’ ‘Up,’ it’s not better than Cardi B feature. This is Cardi getting ready to follow-up her debut album… They not gonna spend the money to keep this rolling into the fourth and first quarter.”

Cardi eventually heard about Budden’s thoughts and shared some of her own during an Instagram live. “I just feel like he has an issue with me,” Cardi said. “And it was beyond the critique of ‘Bongos’ — it’s just you inviting b*tches who said the rudest, nastiest sh*t… when Mal and Rory say f*ck sh*t about you, you get so defensive and you want to clear it up.”

Still, it’s good that the two were able to clear things up.

Joe Budden Addresses Cardi B Beef: “That Hurts”

Earlier this month, Joe Budden discussed Cardi B’s new track alongside Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos,” on his podcast. He had some harsh words for the energetic offering, which managed to capture viewers’ attention. “The hook is not hookin’ for me,” he said. “There’s nothin’ in it to make it stay, one. And two… this commercialized ratchet has passed, it’s ghetto ratchet time. And neither one of them are ghetto ratchet on this song. We need a ‘Bodak Yellow’ now. This sounds like two women who can’t make a song.

After fans noted how hard he seemed to go on Cardi, he clarified his comments. “Y’all know I f*ck with Cardi,” he explained on a later episode of his podcast. “But I stand in what I said about the song.” Cardi then responded to the feedback, sharing that she felt as though his words went deeper than the song itself.

Joe Budden Says He “F*cks With” Cardi B

“I just feel like, it’s like he has a issue with me,” she explained. “And it was beyond the critique of ‘Bongos.’” Cardi went on to claim that Budden gets defensive when people come at him, but sees it as fair game to go after her. Now, Budden has addressed the situation, revealing that it was hurtful to him. “Cardi is my girl, so when the headlines is, ‘Cardi B Tears Into Joe Budden’ — come on, man. That hurts. That hurts my heart,” he shared.

He added that “there’s plenty of room for gray area” when there’s no solid communication, and noted that he thinks some of his words were taken out of context. “And I wouldn’t have been saying that directly to Cardi because I f*ck with Cardi,” he continued. “I was talking to a few of you other people, but now I have to address the Cardi sh*t.” What do you think of Joe Budden’s response to his recent beef with Cardi B? Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion’s “Bongos” Scores Top 5 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Debut

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are continuing to rack up impressive chart achievements for their new single “Bongos.” Earlier this week the song made its debut on the Hot 100. It landed at number 14 in its first week directly in the middle of a sea of songs from Olivia Rodrigo’s new album. While this is Megan Thee Stallion’s first appearance on the Hot 100 this year, Cardi has had another collaboration sticking on the charts for months. She teamed up with Latto for “Put It On Da Floor Again” which debuted at number 13.

As it turns out, “Bongos” had an even more impressive debut on other charts. The song hit the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this morning and climbed even higher. The track debuted at number 4 making it their second collaboration to reach the top 5 following “WAP.” WAP topped the chart back in 2020 during the same week it reached number one on the Hot 100 itself. The pair have managed to find success with both their collaborations and as individual artists on the charts. Listen to “Bongos” below.

Will Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion Make A Project Together?

In interview with Complex’s new interview with Megan Thee Stallion, writer Jessica McKinney wondered if Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion considered recording a joint project after the success of their past work.

Naturally, fan accounts on the app formerly-and-forever-known-as Twitter ran with Megan’s answer, posting that the two women “might” have a joint EP on the way. Of course, this led to the assumption that they are almost certainly releasing a shared project, but as with most things on social media, the truth is a little more complicated. So…

Will Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion Make A Project Together?

Cardi and Megan are now two-for-two when it comes to their history of teaming up for high-profile collaborations. Their 2020 collab “WAP” was a juggernaut, spending four weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, while their latest, “Bongos,” entered the Hot 100 just outside the top ten and is likely to rise in the coming weeks. With that kind of a track record, it’s no surprise that fans are now wondering if there’s more were that came from.

However, if you take a look at what Megan actually said, it sounds like any sort of project would just be a natural effect of how productive the two have been together. “So I’ve done two songs for her,” she said. “And now I feel like I’m in a space where I know exactly what songs I want her to do for me. So we’re really building a little EP already… So if she wanted to do a little EP, I would definitely be so down to do that, but we are making enough music to already have that.”

So, while the two rappers likely have recorded or will record enough music to put together a short project, it doesn’t sound like there are any immediate plans for one. For one thing, Cardi is gearing up for the release of the follow-up to her debut studio album Invasion Of Privacy. Meanwhile, she has already said that she plans to drop a joint mixtape with her husband Offset and an album in Spanish, so her schedule sounds pretty full for the time being.

Still, Cardi and Meg’s chemistry is such that a joint project would probably be pretty well-received among most music listeners, so if they did decide to go all Watch The Throne, I’m sure they’d have plenty of folks tuning in.

Megan Thee Stallion Says She’s Off Social Media & In A “Fresh Space”

Megan Thee Stallion says that she’s starting a new chapter in her life, one absent of social media. She discussed the feeling of being in a “fresh space” during an interview with ET published on Tuesday. The discussion comes after she performed alongside Cardi B at the MTV Video Music Awards to showcase their new collaboration, “Bongos.”

“I feel like I’m in such a fresh space, like everything about me is new,” Megan told the outlet. “My attitude, my vibe. I feel like I’m starting a new chapter in my life. I think I’ve just gone through so much and I’m at a point where I don’t care about a lot of stuff. I’m just so comfortable with myself. I’m like, ‘OK, at this point, girl, what’s the worst thing that can happen?’ I’m just into taking risks right now.”

Megan went on to say that being off social media, she hasn’t been taking inspiration from anybody because she’s got “no clue” what’s going on. “I don’t have any inspiration from anybody out right now [because] I feel like as an artist, you see other artists doing things and it’s like, ‘Oh my god, I got to keep up,’” she added. “I have no clue what anybody’s doing, so the music that I been making, it feels good to me.” Megan also says that her lack of an online presence meant she didn’t even know about the rumored drama between herself and Justin Timberlake.

Either way, Megan says she’s reached a place where she is truly in love with herself. “I always like to think of myself as a confident person, I always [act] that I didn’t care about much, I was nonchalant, but it took me to go through things where so many people were talking about me constantly, to where I had to realize, ‘OK, maybe you’re not as nonchalant and carefree as you thought you were,’” she admitted. “So, I had to take a step back [and] reevaluate myself. I had to get in a comfortable position with myself, and now I genuinely can say that I’m in love with Megan. I’m in love with Megan Thee Stallion.”

Megan Thee Stallion Says She “Loves” Working With Cardi B: “It’s So Much Fun”

Megan Thee Stallion says that she “loves the creative freedom” that Cardi B allows her during her collaborations. Megan reflected on their collaborative process and her friendship with Cardi during a new interview with Billboard. The piece comes after the release of Megan and Cardi’s latest single, “Bongos.”

“It was so much fun!” Megan said of getting in the studio with Cardi. “Every time me and Cardi link up, it ain’t nothing but laughs and a whole party. Both our teams absolutely love each other. Everybody hangs out on their own time anyway, so it kind of felt like we was going out every morning. Oop, Cardi had me waking up so early for these damn — lemme not even curse — Cardi had me waking up so early for these shoots!”

From there, she revealed that Cardi would have her up at 3:00 AM to start getting ready for the music video shoots for “Bongos.” Of working with Cardi, she later added: “Speaking to the collaborator part like, she literally just let me do me. This is the second time she’s sent me a song, and I’ll be like, ‘Friend, can I do whatever I want to do on the beat? I’m finna put two verses on here, all right?’ She always let me do whatever I want to do creatively. I just appreciate that so much because sometimes people try to give you a direction and they want you to do what they want you to do, but she’s like ‘Megan, what you think?’ She’ll ask me what I think about this song like, ‘OK, how you think we could make it better? What should we do next? Just do whatever you wanna do and then we’ll piece it together.’”

Megan and Cardi first made waves as collaborators following their 2020 single, “WAP.” The track generated the largest number of first-week streams in Billboard history after release. The RIAA has since certified it eight-time platinum in the United States.
