Drake Previews New Music At His 38th Birthday Bash: Watch

Today is Drake’s 38th birthday, and to celebrate, he hosted a birthday bash in Houston last night. Footage from the event is now making its rounds on Twitter/X, revealing some of what the Toronto-born hitmaker was up to. He was surrounded by friends and family, who sang to him, brought him a massive cake in the shape of his birth year, and more.

He even previewed some unreleased music at the party, including one song reportedly called “Plot Twist.” As expected, it’s earned mixed reactions from listeners. While some can’t wait for Drake to drop the full version, others insist he’s fallen off, and expected more from him following his battle with Kendrick Lamar. Of course, there’s also speculation that Drizzy takes shots at the Compton rapper towards the end of the snippet, though this is unconfirmed.

“His new stuff just doesn’t hit quite the same,” one Twitter/X user writes in DJ Akademiks’ replies. “This was the one I’ve been waiting for. Sounds like he’s about to start talking his sh*t on that beat switch,” another says. Obviously, the mixed reactions here are nothing new and are to be expected considering the past few months. He earned similar responses from listeners of his new Chino Pacas collab, and pretty much everything else he’s dropped following his feud with Kendrick.

Fortunately, Drake has also been receiving a lot of love from his fans and peers in honor of his birthday. Earlier today, for example, Sexyy Red wished him a happy birthday with a sweet Instagram post. “Happy Birthday to one of the nicest most humblest person I kno LOVE U BD ENJOY YO MONTH,” she wrote. Her post was so kind that it prompted rumors about their relationship status, though as far as the internet knows, they’re just friends. Travis Barker’s Son Addresses His Alleged Baby Oil-Themed Party Amid Diddy Scandal

Landon Barker has responded to backlash for baby oil bottles at his birthday celebration at a club amid the Diddy scandal over the substance’s alleged nefarious uses in that case. He clarified that this was not his event and that he didn’t approve of having those bottles sent out to him. “I’d like to come on here and apologize and address the fact that people are saying I had this whole themed birthday party,” Travis Barker’s son began his social media address. “First off, I have not had a birthday party. My birthday party is next week. Now, what exactly happened was we all went to Nobu for my birthday. Me and my family and my friends. After Nobu, me and my friends wanted to go celebrate, so my friend contacted a club promoter.

“The club promoter then said, ‘Hey, this guy’s having a birthday party tonight. Do you guys want to come to this party?’ He said he’d give us a table and a bottle, make sure we’re all good to go,” Landon Barker continued. “So we’re like, ‘Okay, it’s my 21st, let’s all go out and do something.’ So we all arrive to this club, just me and all my friends. We go to the table. Everybody’s saying ‘Why didn’t you leave right away?’ And that was because I didn’t know what was going on right away. It was a dark environment and all I could really see was another table having flashing bottles being brought out. The bottles had flashing lights underneath them, so I wasn’t able to distinguish what they were.

“I’m just thinking they’re bringing out tequila with the bottles,” Landon Barker continued. “But I have no idea what’s going on at this point. And then they bring bottles out to our table, and that’s when I visibly noticed that they had light-up baby oil. I didn’t pick up the bottle once and I did not condone that. I just went to a club to celebrate my birthday and ended up in a bad situation.” “My apologies go out to everyone I hurt. This wasn’t my idea and I never wanted that to happen,” he added.

“Another thing that really keeps frustrating me is that people think that I curated for everybody to wear all white,” Landon Barker remarked in another video. “This is what was worn on my birthday,” he expressed while showing an image of the event, for which multiple individuals did not wear all white. “Formal attire is a white top and black pants for most people. It was like a fancy dinner. People just took their jackets off.”

Jack Doherty Reportedly Blew A Bag On A Very Brief Lil Baby Performance For His Birthday

Hopefully Lil Baby has something big on the way for fans, because some of them resorted to debating performance fees and celebrity associations amid the drought. For those unaware, he reportedly performed about seven songs or so at YouTuber and streamer Jack Doherty’s 21st birthday party. Not only that, but according to DJ Akademiks, Doherty blew a $200K bag to have the Atlanta MC take the stage. In the replies of the post below, you’ll see some folks clowning the content creator for this choice, clowning Baby for what they see as a fall-off, or clowning Ak and others for pocket-watching.

No matter where you fall on those debates, you might know the controversies attached to Jack Doherty, so to see this vitriolic reaction in some corners is unsurprising. It’s part of why some fans chose to roast the Lil Baby link-up and question why he would even agree to this. Back to Akademiks’ theory, though, he also indicated Baby’s alleged standard performance fees for huge concerts and compared it to this brief appearance, which some called unenthusiastic in the replies below.

The latest of these to pop up concerns his ex Ayesha Howard and how Anthony Edwards allegedly requested a paternity test from her. While this doesn’t concern the rapper directly, plenty of folks commented on the previous relationship and prompted another gender war debate over parenthood dynamics like these. However, this all remains alleged, so take all these theories and assumptions about their personal lives with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, other Lil Baby fans hope that his recent feature alongside Lil Yachty on Rod Wave’s “F**k Fame” will springboard into more consistent releases from him in the near future. Cardi B says she’s done drinking after going a little too hard in celebration of her 32nd birthday over the weekend. She shared a video of herself reflecting on the night on her Instagram Story the following morning. Cardi and her sister, Hennessy, had celebrated at a private party in Manhattan.

“I will never, ever drink again,” she began. After slurring her words, she joked: “I’m still drunk. I will never drink again.” When Hollywood Unlocked shared the post on Instagram, fans shared plenty of laughs. “When i saw her drinking that Henny out the bottle like water i knew this was coming,” one user joked. Another wrote: “I mean she had Hennessy straight out the bottle [laughing emojis] and if I don’t wake up from my birthday like this I didn’t do it right.” Other users brought up concern for her newborn baby.

Drake can’t catch a break online these days, although we doubt that this is bothering the biggest artist in the world… Right? Maybe we’ll see him respond to some recent jokes that came his way online over the outfit he chose for a friend’s birthday party recently. Moreover, the “Blue Green Red” artist wore a boxy suit which many compared to the oversized two-pieces that were popular in the 2000s. As you can see in the comments section of the Instagram post below, not many people were feeling this look, but they’re probably just hating. After all, ’tis the season.

But some folks wonder just how much the broader criticism of Drake is legitimate or just hating, such as the rumors around his supposed rejection of Super Bowl halftime show offers on multiple occasions. “If you took the time to write a rap that says ‘Big as the Super Bowl,’ then you understand the magnitude of the Super Bowl and you would absolutely do the Super Bowl,” Charlamagne Tha God recently speculated. “I don’t believe that. Moreover, he took to his Instagram accounts to claim that the NY Police Department shut down his party in Brooklyn for unknown reasons. Although, Carti did allude to a massive crowd at it, which you can see in a video clip down below. “NYPD SHUT ME DOWN,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “I TREID SOOO HARD TO CELEBRATE WITH YOU TONIGHT THE MUSIC WAS ABOUT TO BE INSANE I WAS OUTSIDE THE WHOLE TIME THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD LOCK ME UP IF I GOT OUT THE CAR ITS MY F***IN BIRTHDAY WTF.”

Elsewhere, Playboi Carti was recently at the center of a fan debate and discussion thanks to when he posted some private DMs between him and Lucki. Apparently, he felt like the Chicago rapper dissed him online, but the “Courtesy Of” rapper was quick to clarify this. “Like I said from the jump, I don’t dislike you,” he expressed. “You think, yesterday, because I bought a chain and I said, ‘crosses up,’ that I was sneak dissing you because you made a song that said, ‘upside down cross, tat’ on my neck,’ but it wasn’t that though. Travis Scott and James Harden were broing it up last night in Las Vegas, according to Sportskeeda. The Houston rapper and the Los Angeles-bred NBA star guard have been close pals for quite some time. Their relationship grew, especially when the Arizona State product played for the Scott’s hometown Rockets. In fact, James Harden describes his relationship with the Cactus Jack label head as one that betters them both. “We’ve grown a friendship, a friendship that’s grown pretty tight. We talk very, very often… give each other confidence”, Harden explained in 2019.

According to People, OBJ and Lauren Wood split back in September. The Baltimore Raven and Skims co-founder were also seen hanging out during a Super Bowl party.
