SZA’s ‘SOS’ Tour And Its Steep Ticket Prices Are Making Fans Really Nervous For Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ Tour

2023 is shaping up to be a very good year for concerts — but for some hardcore music fans, that isn’t exactly a good thing. In the past week, no fewer than three marquee artists have announced or have been rumored to be holding tours in arenas or stadiums next year, and considering the overlap in their respective fanbases, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, and SZA fans have been eyeing their budgets and figuring out how to bolster their bank accounts for the coming onslaught.

Using Jackson and SZA’s tours as a benchmark, fans are especially nervous for the prices on Beyoncé’s rumored tour, for which she’s allegedly making preparations but has not yet announced. “These SZA ticket prices make me very anxious for Beyoncé’s,” wrote one fan. Others, meanwhile, have made the tough choice and foregone the other two in favor of saving for Beyoncé. “me letting all the people spend all they money on SZA and Janet tickets so I can sweep these front row tics for beyonce renaissance tour,” joked another fan.

SZA announced her SOS tour with opener Omar Apollo earlier this week; that’s set to kick off in February. Meanwhile, Janet’s Together Again tour, also announced this week, launches in April supported by none other than Ludacris. And all that’s without a possible appearance from Rihanna, who is also rumored to be returning to the tour circuit next year after performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show. That GloRilla assistant job isn’t looking so bad now, is it?

Meghan Markle On Friendship With Beyoncé: “I Still Can’t Believe She Knows Who I Am!”

Every so often, Netflix unveils a new original series that takes the world by storm. While Tim Burton’s Wednesday is definitely one of those at the moment, another recent arrival is the Harry & Meghan docuseries. The first three episodes premiered earlier in December. Now, the latter half hit the streamer on Thursday (December 15), giving us further insight into the lives of the two former royals.

Additionally, in the second half of the hit documentary, Meghan Markle briefly discusses her friendship with Beyoncé. As PEOPLE notes, the two previously met in 2019 after both working on Disney’s The Lion King remake. Paparazzi caught photos of the two hugging at the premiere. At the time, Queen B reportedly whispered “my princess” to the mother of two.

Those who saw the pair’s first meeting noticed an immediate “familiarity” between them. So much so, in fact, that many refused to believe that weren’t already kindred spirits. At the same time, Prince Harry was chatting it up with Jay-Z, who had some advice for the couple.

“The best advice I can give you, [is to] always find some time for yourself,” Hov told Markle and her husband.

Elsewhere, Beyoncé previously showed tons of love to the Suits actress following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. The conversation aired back in March of 2021. It found them discussing things like losing police protection, the strain they’ve felt on their relationships with royals, and their daughter, Lilibet, who was still in utero at the time.

After the emotional interview aired, Beyoncé posted a public tribute to her on Instagram. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” the Houston native wrote. “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

As it turns out, the Lemonade hitmaker also sent Markle a private text with even more kind words. In the docuseries’ latest episodes, we see the couple working side by side at home when the California native announces that she’s gotten a text from her famous friend.

“I still can’t believe she knows who I am!” she went on to gush about her sweet message from the vocalist. “She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”

Prince Harry responded, “that’s well said.” No doubt!

Check out the trailer for the second installment of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan above. Afterward, let us know if you’ve tuned into the docuseries down in the comments.

Beyoncé Is Hosting A ‘Club Renaissance’ Secret Show In Los Angeles This Weekend

Forget the visuals, Beyoncé fans are about to have a new obsession over the next couple of days. She’s the latest artist to partner with Amazon Music for a special performance. However, while the Amazon Music Live series has included names like 2 Chainz and Megan Thee Stallion, Queen Bey is apparently looking to do something a little different, inspired by the concept behind her latest album, Renaissance.

Since the album takes inspiration from the underground club scene of the late ’70s and ’80s that spawned the electronic dance music movement, Beyoncé will be hosting a Club Renaissance event in Los Angeles this Saturday, December 17, and Sunday, December 18. And like the old raves that influenced her house-and-techno-tinged album, the location will be kept a closely guarded secret. It’s a 21+ event (sorry, Blue Ivy, it’s past your bedtime) and the non-transferrable tickets will be limited to one per person.

While details are secretive, there may be a possibility to get a preview of the rumored stadium tour that Bey’s supposedly been preparing for. Among the rumors are reports that she’s been requiring her crew to forego alcohol and do periodic check-ins to ensure a safe work environment. Since Club Renaissance is an Amazon Music event, though, don’t be surprised if at least one of the performances live streams on the app.

Meghan Markle Was Absolutely Floored To Receive A Touching Beyoncé Text In A New Documentary Clip

Despite Beyoncé’s status as one of the most important women in the music industry, she’s known to be quite a down-to-earth, caring friend. After she collaborated with Madonna for a “Break My Soul” remix, the Renaissance performer sent the iconic singer a thoughtful thank-you note.

In the new documentary Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, a scene spotlights Beyoncé’s kindness. The clip has been circulating Twitter, and it depicts Meghan Markle discussing her communication with the “Love On Top” singer.

“Beyoncé just texted,” she says, prompting Prince Harry to gasp. Markle says Beyoncé is “just checking in,” which bewilders Harry. “I still can’t believe she knows who I am,” she says. She explains, “She said she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.” After a pause of absorbing such an insightful message, Harry says, “That’s well-said.”

One reply to the video reads: “ACTUAL ROYALTY was literally shocked that Beyoncé texted, that is power.” Another read: “‘she knows who i am’ girl bye you’re a whole princess [crying emojis].” Other replies admire the eloquence with which Beyonce shared her feelings and thoughts with Markle.

Gunna, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Uzi Vert & More Featured On Jay-Z’s 2022 “Year End Picks”

Rap superstar Jay-Z has released a list of his favorite tracks from the year, and some of the most popping artists are included. Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, Drake, and more made the playlist’s cut, which is currently available to stream on TIDAL.

Showcasing his diverse taste in music, the “Big Pimpin’” rapper’s picks for 2022 featured a mixture of genres. From Bad Bunny and Burna Boy to Vince Staples and Glorilla, it’s clear that Jay-Z is keeping up with the latest music trends and styles.

Showing love to his wife, the Brooklyn native listed multiple songs from Beyoncé’s latest Renaissance album. “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” and “PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA” earned their spots on the list, proving to be Jay-Z’s favorites.

Giving a nod to himself, the billionaire included his collaboration with Pusha T and Pharrell WIlliams “Neck & Wrist.” Released this past April, the single spent two weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Jay-Z also took notice of SZA’s S.O.S. and Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, with songs from both projects featured on the playlist.

Tapped into the current rap scene, he also listed several 2022 hip-hop hits like Gunna’s “Pushin P” and Lil Uzi Vert’s viral social media single “Just Wanna Rock.”

In 2019, Lil Uzi Vert signed with Roc Nation after having a dispute over the release of Eternal Atake. Fans launched a “Free Uzi” campaign that year after DJ Drama and Don Cannon allegedly blocked the album’s release.

The Philadelphia rapper has often shown his gratitude for Jay-Z, who he appears to consider a mentor. In 2020, Lil Uzi Vert revealed that he helped him get to the bag.

“Jay-Z and Des helping me get 100 million dollar deals Forreal.” he wrote at the time.

JT Says Nobody Can Compare To Beyoncé: “Not A Soul”

2022 was another busy year for the City Girls. Although they didn’t drop a full-length project, they still managed to stay relevant.

Dropping two successful singles, “Top Notch” with Fivio Foreign and “Good Love” with Usher, the rap duo made it clear that hey aren’t going anywhere.

In August, they also made an appearance on DJ Khaled’s “BILLS PAID” alongside Latto. The song served as a single to the record producer’s thirteenth studio album, GOD DID.

One artist who had a monstrous year yet again was none other than Beyoncé. Dropping her dance-infused album, RENAISSANCE in July, the Houston native was effective in continuing her streak as one of the most dominant artists of the 2000s.

As a result, she appeared all over the Billboard charts once again. Shortly following its release, all 16 tracks from the album landed on the Hot 100. One half of the City Girls, JT, took to her Twitter account yesterday (December 13) to share her thoughts on the “Crazy In Love” singer’s greatness.

The tweet came in response to a post asking the Twitter-verse who, out of all the new singers, could pull off Beyoncé’s performance for her 2004 hit, “Check On It.” The 30-year-old was to-the-point with her response. “Not a soul, next,” she wrote.

Of course, the fellow performers are no strangers to one another. Just last year, the pair shared a bonding moment together at a Fourth of July party reportedly thrown by Michael Rubin.

While taking to Twitter the following day to detail a conversation between the two, JT couldn’t contain her excitement.

“I love Beyoncé if I didn’t feel like I made it no other day tonight I did! She told me I was beautiful & she’s proud & to keep going! God look At my life….I came from nothing at all,” she wrote.

The “Act Up” rapper was certainly appreciative of the kind words.

What do you think? Do any of the new pop singers compare to Beyoncé in your mind? Sound off in the comments below.
