Beyonce Unveils Epic “Renaissance World Tour” Movie Trailer: Watch

There is some major breaking news coming from Beyonce and her team. The Houston, Texas singing icon is just a few months away from giving fans the Renaissance World Tour experience in movie theaters. We got word about a possible release date of December 1 on September 30, but now, that day is now official. Fader reports that pre-sales at chains including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark are open now. Originally, it was reported that only AMC would be playing the movie but the two other massive theater chains join in as well.

Beyonce titled the film Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce. What will be interesting to see is how it competes with the opposing empire, Taylor Swift. Her motion picture, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, will hit theaters very soon on October 13. Both artists are brands now, essentially, and each one has die-hard supporters. We have seen plenty of box office smashes when it comes to tour flicks and these should be as well.

Beyoncé Is Bringing Her Massive ‘Renaissance World Tour’ To Movie Theaters With A New Concert Film

The two biggest concert tours of the year, without question, are Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. Swift’s tour is hitting theaters via a concert film releasing soon, and now Beyoncé’s trek is getting the same treatment: Today (October 2), she announced Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé.

As USA Today notes, “In addition to concert footage, the film will include portions of the visual album for Beyoncé’s latest album Renaissance and a documentary-style account of the album and tour’s creation.” The movie is set to his theaters soon, on December 1, and tickets can be purchased here.

In the trailer, Beyoncé says, “When I am performing, I am nothing but free. The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged. You’re unique. Start over, start fresh, create the new — that’s what the Renaissance is about.”

The video description of the trailer’s YouTube upload reads, “RENAISSANCE: A FILM BY BEYONCÉ accentuates the journey of RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri. It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”

Beyoncé, the music sensation, is bringing her epic world tour to the big screen at AMC Theatres!

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is set to make a cinematic splash, and fans are in for a treat. Reports suggest that the music icon is finalizing a deal to bring her globally acclaimed tour to the silver screen through none other than AMC Theatres. The news was first reported by Variety.

What has the BeyHive buzzing is the behind-the-scenes look at Beyoncé’s mind-blowing Renaissance tour performances. On her birthday, Queen Bey issued a unique request to her fans: dress in chrome-shimmering silver. The invitation was accepted, and hundreds of thousands of concertgoers transformed into a “shimmering human disco ball.”

The tour itself stands as a testament to Beyoncé’s unmatched prowess, ranking as her highest-grossing journey to date. Hollywood’s top agency, CAA, is managing the negotiations, and there’s fierce competition to collaborate with the superstar.

The cherry on top is the rumored incorporation of visuals from Beyoncé’s Renaissance album. While she teased music video-style content when the album dropped, the full visuals remained under wraps.

Securing tickets for the Renaissance World Tour was no easy feat, given the overwhelming demand. Now, it’s turning into a must-see movie. Insiders are hinting that the movie could hit theaters around December 1.

There’s also speculation that the movie might be a secret project Beyoncé worked on with director Nadia Lee Cohen. Cohen has previously directed Beyoncé’s music videos for “Formation,” “Sorry,” and “Hold Up.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the movie, which promises to be a cinematic celebration of Beyoncé’s artistry and mastery of live performance.

We’ll keep you updated on the latest news about the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour movie, so be sure to check back soon!

Beyoncé Is Reportedly Planning A ‘Renaissance World Tour’ Concert Film For Release In AMC Theatres

Beyoncé‘s Renaissance World Tour is wrapping up this weekend, but Beyhive members who weren’t able to get tickets — or simply wish to relive the concert experience — may get the chance to see the critically-acclaimed concert on screen.

According to a report from Variety, the Queen Bey is apparently in talks to deliver a concert film based on the Renaissance World Tour. Variety reports that the publication spoke with sources with knowledge of the project, who said that the film would premiere through AMC Theatres.

Another source reportedly told Variety that mega-agency CAA reportedly had talks with major studios and streamers over the course of the past few weeks, alerting the key players to be ready to bid on a series of projects that Bey has been developing over the past few years. Such projects reportedly include “elements of her top-grossing 2023 live shows, elements of the long-gestating visual album Renaissance and a documentary-style account of making the record and building out the tour.”

The rumored AMC release follows news of Taylor Swift releasing a concert film based on her Eras Tour this coming October.

At the time of writing neither Beyoncé nor representatives from AMC have directly commented.

However, earlier this week, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, shared a post on Instagram congratulating her daughter, along with Swift, for the role their tours have played in stimulating the national economy.

How Much Did Beyoncé Make On The ‘Renaissance Tour?’

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is wrapping up this weekend with one final show in Kansas City (at least, for now). So, now is good time to see just how successful the tour actually was. Both Billboard and the New York Times recently posted breakdowns of the tour’s earnings, which are recapped below.

How Much Did Beyoncé Make On The ‘Renaissance Tour?’

So, according to Billboard, in her 11 July shows alone, Beyoncé grossed $127.6 million — the largest one-month sum for any artist since the Boxscore archives began in the mid-1980s. She followed up in August with $179.3 million over 14 shows. She had the leading tour in sales three months in a row, with only Bad Bunny and Elton John leading more consecutive months (she’s in a tie with Ed Sheeran, the Rolling Stones, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra).

Meanwhile, the Times’ Jenna Wortham notes that the Renaissance Tour has been an economy unto itself, generating as much for the US as the 2008 Olympics did for Beijing — nearly $4.5 billion (a lot of that had to be just in silver clothing alone).

With nine shows in September and one in October, she’s already got the highest-grossing tour by a woman in the Boxscore archives with $461.3 million (passing Madonna’s 2008-9 Sweet & Sticky Tour). Although the remaining shows have yet to be tallied, Billboard projects they’ll bring the overall total to well over half-a-billion bucks at $560 million. Beyoncé would officially be the only woman, only Black artist, and only American solo act among the top ten highest grossing tours ever. A queen, indeed.

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’ Going To South America Soon?

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour has been a spectacle from day one — from the over-the-top looks that have since become internet legend to Megan Thee Stallion practically bursting with excitement to perform their hit song “Savage” at their Houston hometown show. With just one dates remaining after Wednesday night’s concert in New Orleans (Sunday at Kansas City will be the final stop), it looks like the Renaissance World Tour is all wrapped up… or is it?

It wouldn’t be a WORLD tour if it just did Europe and North America, now would it? Eagle-eyed Beyhive fans spotted a social media post that suggests that the next region due for a Beyoncé takeover is South America.

Is Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’ Going To South America Soon?

According to a screenshot from Beyoncé fan account Ticketmaster’s Chile Instagram profile posted a cryptic image of a MacOS document folder titled “Eventos Ticketmaster 2024_Final” with a very purposefully chosen music tag: Beyoncé’s “America Has A Problem” remix with Kendrick Lamar. The song has since been removed but the post remains. Its caption reads, “Let’s start planning for 2024 🔥 If you knew the names this folder has 👀! What would you give to open this file 🔐?”

It’s hard to tell if the fan account’s screenshot is 100 percent legit, but let’s say that it is; it wouldn’t be surprising for Beyoncé to have a couple of stops planned in places like Brazil, where her fanbase is as fervent as anywhere else. Meanwhile, we’re sure the Beyhive would love to get a look inside that folder for confirmation their fave is headed to South America. For now, we’ll just have to speculate while waiting for an official announcement — but I’d be willing to bet one is coming sooner rather than later.

Super Bowl Halftime Show: 7 Best Performances, Ranked

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Usher will headline the 2024 Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. The performance will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, adjacent to Las Vegas, where the R&B legend has famously had a residency for the past year. This won’t be the R&B giant’s first appearance. Usher appeared as a special guest in the Super Bowl XLV Halftime Show back in 2011 alongside The Black Eyed Peas and Slash. Earlier this year, Rihanna took to the halftime stage, which is currently the most-watched Super Bowl performances of all time.

The Super Bowl Halftime Show has always been a spectacle for live acts, featuring A-list artists who condense their catalogs of hits into an epic show. “Legacy artists” who have made sizable contributions to music are almost always selected to perform. A grand production is to be expected when putting together a performance of great magnitude. There have been many legendary halftime show performances, while others have been more divisive. Before Usher takes the stage in February, we are counting down the seven best Super Bowl halftime performances. Ranked from least to greatest, check out the list below.

7. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, & Kendrick Lamar (2022)

Rappers played the Super Bowl halftime show before, but last year’s performance brought hip hop to the forefront. The show’s all-star lineup consisted of multiple co-headliners, including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. With an overwhelming amount of star power and hit records to perform, the first-ever hip hop halftime show certainly delivered. Each artist had their very own moment to shine before coming together to close the show with “Still D.R.E.” The guest appearances from 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak added further excitement, resulting in a successful celebration of hip hop at America’s largest sporting event.

6. Justin Timberlake (2018)

Perhaps one of the most underrated halftime shows is Justin Timberlake’s solo performance in 2018. It was his third appearance in a halftime show but the first of his very own. While it received mixed reception, Timberlake’s show deserves to be mentioned among the best halftime shows. He made a bold choice to perform a brand-new song, let alone start his show with it. However, Justin Timberlake’s presentation was filled with exciting moments. His performance contains some of the best choreography out of any halftime show ever. It was plenty extravagant despite the lack of pyrotechnics.

Timberlake utilized almost the entire stadium, even taking the time to snap a selfie with a fan. His crowd interaction made the massive arena show feel like an intimate concert. The show was a masterful blend of the N’SYNC vocalist’s solo hits. He even paid tribute to Prince with a rendition of “I Would Die 4 U.” Ultimately, Timberlake’s halftime show sits comfortably at No. 6 as it does not vocally stack up to the higher entries on this list.

5. Katy Perry (2015)

It is tough to beat entering the Super Bowl stadium on a mechanical lion. Katy Perry started her halftime performance with a bang and transformed the University of Phoenix Stadium to fit a unique aesthetic for each song. The imaginative production resulted in one of the most fun Super Bowl halftime performances. She not only rode a mechanical lion but took the NFL to the beach with “California Gurls” and flew across the stadium for “Firework.” Perry also brought out Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott, each bringing their best to the performance. Every moment of Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime performance was well-produced, epitomizing what a stellar pop star performance should look like.

4. Bruno Mars (2014)

Bruno Mars’s 2014 Super Bowl halftime show put his performance skills on full display. At this time, he was a relatively newer artist, but he didn’t perform as such. He started his halftime show with a skillful drum solo before launching into “Locked Out of Heaven” and numerous other hits. Mars’s effortless flare and chemistry with his band made for one of the best halftime shows. He even brought out the Red Hot Chili Peppers, adding a rock element to his already thrilling stage performance. His final song, “Just The Way You Are,” paid tribute to the United States Armed Forces as a touching end to an exuberant performance. An excellent singer, dancer, and overall performer, Bruno Mars’s solo halftime show placed him among the legends.

3. Prince (2007)

One of the best Super Bowl halftime shows came from Prince, who delivered an exhilarating performance. On a stage shaped as his iconic “love symbol,” Prince provided an electrifying display of his skills as he shredded on his guitar while interacting with the crowd via call and response. The fireworks show added another dimension to his stage production. Very few artists looked as comfortable performing in front of a packed stadium than Prince, making the Super Bowl feel like his own concert. He brought his legendary halftime show to an end in a momentous way. Prince ending his show with “Purple Rain” while it rained onto his purple-lit stage is nothing short of iconic. A halftime show to remember, Prince’s 2007 performance remains at No. 3 as he also performed many covers instead of drawing from his expansive catalog of hits.

2. Beyoncé (2013)

Before she would change the game with a surprise album, Beyoncé performed a sensational Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2013. Widely revered as one of the best live performers of all time, she displayed why she deserves that title. Vocally, it is the best Super Bowl Halftime Show ever as she effortlessly ran through songs like “Love on Top,” “End of Time,” and “Halo,” which she ended with.

Her voice and choreography were on point, but Beyoncé took things to another level by surprising the audience with a Destiny’s Child reunion. The iconic trio did not miss a beat as they came together for “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women Part I,” and “Single Ladies.” Beyoncé’s solo halftime show outranks her performance with Bruno Mars and Coldplay simply because she performed less songs during that 2016 show. Her ability to belt high notes, dance complex routines, and still interact with the crowd is second to none. Beyoncé has since kept her status as a performer with her show-stopping appearance in the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show and this year’s Renaissance World Tour.

1. Shakira & Jennifer Lopez (2020)

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show was everything one could ever want in a performance. The perfect combination of global pop stars, the two ran through countless hits with seamless transitions. It is undoubtedly the best overall production as J. Lo and Shakira pulled out all the stops with their dancing, set design, live band, pyrotechnics, and special guests. It is difficult to fit so many hit songs into a 13-minute performance, but nobody did it better than Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

Each of them separately had their moments to shine as they performed medleys of their biggest singles. Shakira danced mapalé, played the drums, and crowd surfed while Lopez pole-danced on a skyscraper-like structure. They even brought out Bad Bunny and J Balvin, creating a truly celebratory moment of Latin music and culture. Jennifer Lopez’s daughter, Emmie Muñiz, appeared to sing “Born in the U.S.A.” to comment on the U.S.-Mexico border crisis. Lopez also wore a cape with the Puerto Rican and American flags, representing unity. There was not one dull moment in Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s unforgettable Super Bowl halftime show, which is why it deserves the No. 1 spot.

Beyonce “Mute Challenge” Fail Gets Houston Concertgoer Smacked In Hilarious Video

Since Beyonce first flew to Europe to begin her RENAISSANCE Tour back in the spring, her loyal fanbase has been impressing the “Halo” hitmaker. Before she even asked patrons to wear their best silver attire to shows throughout the month of September, many stepped out in over-the-top ensembles, many of which Queen B applauded from her post up on the stadium stage.

This week, the Southern starlet put on a rousing performance in her hometown of Houston, where plenty of celebrities stepped out. Lizzo and Monaleo met for the first time while awaiting Bey, and Moneybagg Yo also brought his lady Ari Fletcher out for a night on the town. Aside from those notable names, tens of thousands of locals also crowded into the concert. As TMZ reports, some of them weren’t afraid to throw hands when it came time for the famous “mute challenge.”

Beyonce’s Hometown Show Involved Some Violence

When the Destiny’s Child alum gets to the part in “ENERGY” ordering everyone to be silent, the audience remains as quiet as possible. Some cities have been far better at this than others, but there were high hopes for Houston to be one of the best. In fact, one person in the crowd was so intent on pleasing Bey that the smacked another person around them for snacking on popcorn during the big moment. “Shut the f**k up,” she added while striking the culprit, who laughed the altercation off. It’s unclear if the two know each other. Regardless, it doesn’t seem as though the night was totally ruined for either of them.

Beyonce has been the centre of attention for months on end thanks to her RENAISSANCE World Tour, reminding us once again why she’s known as one of the greatest entertainers of her generation. While fanfare continues to surround the mother of three amid her final few performances, Plies has made it clear that to him, Britney Spears’ living room dancing videos are just as captivating as what Queen B has been serving up over the past few months. Read what the rapper had to say about his dream girl at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news.
