BabyDrill Asks “What’s The Ticket” On New Single & Music Video: Stream

BabyDrill might be one of the hottest names in the game in 2024, and it looks like he wants to kick things off strong. Moreover, he just released a new single and music video, exclusively on YouTube at press time and not on streaming services, titled “What’s the Ticket.” Furthermore, it follows previous singles like “Watchin Now” and other big moments from the rapper’s breakout 2023, which hopefully translates into better material moving forward. This new cut is a solid indicator of that reality, displaying his penchant for warbled but charismatic flows. Not only that, but the Atlanta MC makes sure to pace himself appropriately throughout his verses to break up their progression.

Meanwhile, the instrumental on “What’s the Ticket” is a dark and menacing one with ghostly synth pads, a very faint and simple melody building off of them, and a hardened Southern trap drum pattern. It doesn’t evolve or go in any significantly new direction, so you know it’s meant to emphasize BabyDrill’s verse and wordplay. On that front, his lines are more vivid and impactful than anything else, but he still has sharper ones in the bag. “The city full of lollipops, stay away from suckers,” the “WHAT’S THE MOVE?” spitter warns after the first chorus. With eclectic ad-libs, lyrical focuses on street proficiency and larger success than his rivals, and a very light additional synth melody for the chorus, this song will make you feel untouchable on a late night drive.

The pair has been denying the rumors since they sparked back in August, though fans have had their suspicions ever since. Halle Bailey has announced that she and DDG have welcomed their first child together, a son, Halo. Prior to Saturday night, Bailey never confirmed she was pregnant. She made the announcement on Instagram while sharing a photo of herself holding her infant’s hand.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son..,” Bailey began in the caption. “Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”

Lil Baby is one of the biggest rappers out right now, but he’s not always down to indulge in that celebrity status with admirers. Moreover, a fan recently uploaded a video in their car of them passing by him in his own car, and when they started talking to him, he simply beckoned the fan to keep it moving, as he was already holding up traffic. In this TikTok clip, the user seemingly called the Atlanta MC “rude” in the caption and said that “Moneybagg Yo could never,” possibly suggesting that he’s better with fan interactions. It was his birthday recently, but it seems like even that cheer couldn’t pick his patience up.

However, this is a very understandable reaction from Lil Baby, as folks can’t expect famous folks to always be in that zone. Of course, there are limits and decent values of respect, but none of that really seemed to apply in this on-the-road situation. Regardless, the 29-year-old definitely has much bigger things to worry about on his mind, especially when it comes to feeding his wider fanbase as a whole. Recently, he let his listeners know that he’ll be “gone” until his new album comes out, so hopefully that means it’s right around the corner.

In the clip below, fans think that the cries heard at one point before someone asks for the camera to “Cut!” is their child together. It’s a bit of a stretch, but considering the quick move to cut the clip– and the fact that the video does cut right there– it’s a bit too suspicious while taking into account these rumors.

Of course, DDG and Halle Bailey haven’t really said much about these rumors other than vaguely clapping back at trolls who think they know everything. Also, Halle in particular recently thanked her “real supporters” amid this speculation, so it’s possible that she just doesn’t want to entertain people hyper-obsessed with this narrative. While there have been plenty of possible hints and valid theories, it ultimately won’t matter until they make things official– if they ever will. Maybe this is all a big misunderstanding and the couple just doesn’t know how to tell fans that their hopes won’t come to fruition.

While Yung Miami is trying to stay balanced amid this drama, Lil Baby is apparently hard at work on his next album. He recently said that he’s “finishing it up,” so fans should expect a drop sometime in 2024, whether in its first quarter or for the summer. While It’s Only Me was by no means the “350” spitter’s most beloved project, he hasn’t lost his potential for hits, introspection, and cutting flows. Moreover, adult content creator Lil D recently claimed to Adam22 of No Jumper that he found out that the rapper actually watches his videos. Apparently, a common associate of both men knows that Baby watched some of her videos with D before getting together, something that she later told the latter. It’s quite the bizarre flex to make, but nevertheless, it’s a way to market oneself and whatever one does through a big celebrity co-sign. It’s just not exactly the type of thing that the Atlanta native would probably be a proud fan of.

Furthermore, Lil Baby would have to try really hard to avoid Lil D, considering that he’s now roped into Adam22 and Lena The Plug’s relationship dynamic. They made adult content together and now seem quite close, so it definitely hasn’t been as beef-heavy as the Jason Luv situation. Still, this causes a lot of debate among social media users, commentators, and the like. That’s something that unfortunately is not likely to go away anytime soon.

Conor McGregor’s Fourth Child Is A Baby Boy

Conor McGregor announced the birth of his fourth child earlier today. “My baby boy is born! Mammy and baby doing amazing, 8.1lbs of prime Irish double champion beef! ,” McGregor wrote on Instagram. Dee Devlin, McGregor’s long-time fiancee, gave birth this morning after McGregor announced she was in labor last night. The pregnancy was announced back in June, with the couple already sharing three kids – Conor Jr, Croia, and Rian. Later in the day, McGregor shared another update. “Another chunky healthy boy into the world. Dee, you are my hero ,” the MMA fighter wrote on social media.

McGregor and Devlin have been together since around 2008, which also marks the start of McGregor’s MMA career. The couple met at a nightclub in Dublin right before McGregor began to pursue his MMA dream. They got engaged in 2020 and plan to have a wedding in Ireland in the coming years. As for their other kids, McGregor has previously said that Conor Jr is already starting to perfect his MMA moves.

The birth comes amid speculation that McGregor is gearing up for his return to the UFC. In October, McGregor officially rejoined the USADA drug testing pool. Returning to the Octagon after two years battling a leg injury, McGregor had previously been reluctant to rejoin the pool. This led many people to believe that he had been using steroids during his rehabilitation. According to the UFC’s agreement with USADA, a fighter who rejoins the testing pool must remain in it for six months and pass two random tests before they can fight again. While appeals were made to eliminate the six-month waiting period for McGregor, the anti-doping agency held firm.

It’s unknown who McGregor’s first fight back will be against. Many assumed that it would be against Michael Chandler after the two went head-to-head on The Ultimate Fighter. However, McGregor has spent his time away calling out anyone and everyone who comes to mind. That said, many people are now eyeing UFC 300 as McGregor’s return. That would give him plenty of time to fully recover, as well as arrange a fight for himself.

Uptown wrote a piece about this in March and the Queen firmly stated her position on the matter.

“And by the way let me make sure I say this because you know how they like to twist my words, the same way I feel I should have already been on the cover of American Vogue, so should Lil’ Kim, if we being all the way one thousand.” She continues, “If this is what your magazine represents, “influence.” … If we being honest because every single any female rapper when we, when myself or Lil’ Kim goes on the internet, every day we see our influence. … So I’m not gonna say it’s about me only, right, and not give that woman her just due about what she did.”
