Former NFL Star Braylon Edwards Praised For Stopping Attempted Murder

Police in Detroit have praised former third-overall NFL pick Braylon Edwards for intervening in an attempted murder at a YCMA. Edwards was in the locker room last Friday when he heard an elderly man arguing with several younger men about their music. After the altercation turned physical, Edwards stepped in. “And then I see the guy for what I was thinking was reaching for a phone underneath the victim grabs the back of the victim’s head by the hair. And he was about to slam it down on the counter,” Edwards told local media.

Speaking after officers arrived at the scene, Framingham Hills police chief Jeff King said that Edwards “absolutely” saved the man’s life. A 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder as a result of the incident. When asked why he intervened, Edwards said “That’s just what you do.” Edwards played eight years in the NFL and is a beloved alum of Michigan.

Elsewhere, the Ravens’ Mark Andrew was also credited with saving a life recently. During a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix, an unidentified woman suffered a medical emergency and became unresponsive. As onboard medical personnel feared the worst, unable to find a consistent pulse, Andrews offered the use of his diabetes testing kit. With the use of the kit, flight staff were able to stabilize the woman’s heart until the flight could land. The was first made public by Baltimore resident Andrew Springs, who was also on the flight.

However, Andrews has waived off any hero labels for himself. “In addition to the fast-acting flight attendants, the real heroes are the nurse and doctor who also happened to be on the flight. Thankfully they were able to provide the woman the quick assistance she needed,” Andrews said via a statement released by the Ravens.

DigDat Arrest: UK Rapper Facing Attempted Murder & Multiple Gun Charges

UK rhymers have been keeping just as busy as their American counterparts in crafting new music releases this winter, though for one of them, time in the studio has come to a sudden halt. Nathan Tokosi (better known in the industry as DigDat) was arrested and charged with attempted murder earlier this month. Along with charges for that crime, he also faces multiple related to guns. Foreign outlet News Shopper shared the story this past Monday (February 19), claiming that Tokoski tried to fatally shoot a man last November in West London.

Another accusation against the young rhymer is “possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable another to do so, as well as possessing three 9mm Parabellum-caliber bullets for a firearm.” It’s worth noting this isn’t his first run-in with the law. Previously, Tokosi was sentenced to 10 years at the age of 13 for unknown reasons, half of which he wound up serving. He violated probation in late 2022, resulting in a brief stint back in the slammer, making his way back home after seven months.

DigDat in Police Custody After Alleged Shooting Last Fall

In terms of his artistry, DigDat’s most famous release is 2018’s “Air Force,” for which he tapped Krept & Konan and K Trap to aid him on the remix. It inevitably peaked at No. 20 on the UK Singles Chart that December, generating plenty of buzz around the embattled creative. Witnessing someone with so much talent getting caught up in the world of crime is saddening for hip-hop heads, but they wish Tokosi the best ahead of next month’s sentencing. Four others have already been found guilty of murder in connection with the case – Ka’mani Brightly-Donaldson, Kammar Henry-Richards (Kay-O), Joao Pateco-te and Jeffrey Gyimah.

As one recording artist waits to find out if he’ll be sentenced to hard time for his alleged crimes, another is walking free. Kodak Black was happy to be heading home after being arrested (again) in late 2023, and he’s even more eager for the arrival of his second son on Friday (February 23). Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for any updates on DigDat and other rappers.

Digga D Uploads Chilling Video Of Alleged Murder Attempt Against Him

Digga D recently took to social media to share just how close his alleged recent close brush with death was. Moreover, the U.K. MC uploaded two pictures and a video that seem to depict an attempt on his life, and it’s chilling footage all things considered. One of these includes a video that quickly cuts out after you hear shots ringing out from outside the vehicle. In addition, Digga posted pictures of a Mercedes Benz SUV with bullet holes in it, showing presumed evidence of the attack. “Cherish God More,” he wrote as his post’s caption alongside a prayer hands emoji, acknowledging how lucky he is to have escaped harm’s way.

Considering the violent subject matter of much of the drill scene in the region, stories like these don’t get any less scary. It also came at what should be a celebratory time in the London rapper’s life, as he just released his album Back To Square One in late August. This new footage from Friday (September 15) shows that things could’ve taken a very nasty turn. Fortunately, it seems like the 23-year-old is safe and sound, and he elaborated on the experience on his Instagram Story.

Digga D Shares Haunting Murder Attempt Footage

“What soldier you know goes to war & don’t get shot or shot at,” Digga D wrote on the social media platform. “Most these punk uk rappers have experienced it & are embarrassed to talk about it cause they don’t stand on business! They rather just show u the good side. I’d rather show you the Real side. Remember death is a place of no return. Don’t go out wrong trying to impress a bunch of people that will forget about you. Whatever religion you are, keep praying no matter what Cherish God More CGM.”

Meanwhile, the “G Lock” artist might be moving away from this violent lifestyle, at least artistically. Recently, he declared that he was done with drill, and teased a more dancehall-inspired cut to shift gears. With this in mind, no matter what musical route he takes, we hope that he doesn’t face more situations like these. For more news and the latest updates on Digga D, keep checking in with HNHH.
