Blueface Reality Show Announced Despite Rapper’s Arrest

The Zeus Network has announced a new reality television show hosted by Blueface just hours after the rapper was arrested. Rap Queens West will see Blue trying to find the “most individual female rapper”. The winner will receive a $1 million recording contract with Blue’s label, MILF Music. Furthermore, the entire announcement video was a parody of the iconic opening to Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The announcement also noted that auditions for the show were now open and that anyone could apply to appear on the series.

However, much of the reaction to the show centered around the fact that Zeus announced the show mere hours after Blue’s aforementioned arrest. “They’re gonna have him on Zoom in a cell😭,” one person replied. Others questioned the show’s prize given Blue’s history. “How they gone get a million dolllar record deal and he ain’t even paid back the millions he owe the club 😂😂😂,” argued another. Additionally, several people were seen referring to the show as “America’s Next Chrisean Rock”.

Blueface Arrest: What We Know

However, as mentioned, the show’s announcement was somewhat dwarfed by news hours earlier that Blueface had been arrested. First reported by his manager, Wack 100, Blue reportedly turned himself in after a parole violation. This was later confirmed by his mom, Karlissa Saffold. Per XXL, the parole violation stemmed from his 2022 shooting charges. Blue is currently serving a three-year probation sentence after pleading guilty to shooting a man at the club.

While Blue, who was seen to be in high spirits in a video of his arrest, is yet to address the situation, Saffold placed the blame on the mothers of Blue’s children. “Jaidyn got him one charge, Rock got him the one that violated the other. That’s why it’s so quiet. Praying everyone now understand why I didn’t want them together. Because parents want the best for their children. I love them all but not together. Praying for everyone to listen to their parents,” Saffold wrote on social media.

Earlier today, Blueface’s mother Karlissa Saffold confirmed that he was arrested, following rumors sparked back one of Wack 100’s Instagram posts. According to her, the “Thotiana” rapper is in custody for charges brought about by the mothers of his children, Chrisean Rock and Jaidyn Alexis. She shared a lengthy Instagram Story about the debacle, claiming to “love them all but not together.”

“Jaidyn got him one charge, Rock got him the one that violated the other,” she explained today (January 12). “That’s why it’s so quiet. Praying everyone now understands why I didn’t want them together. Because parents want the best for their children.” Unfortunately, however, Jaidyn doesn’t appear to have taken her message lightly. The “Barbie” performer fired back with a brief yet powerful Tweet. “Karlissa for the love of God shut the f*ck up,” she wrote.

Jaidyn Alexis Tells Karlissa Saffold To “Shut The F*ck Up”

While it’s no surprise that Jaidyn is fed up with Saffold, it’s not too often that fans see the up-and-coming rapper clap back. Saffold wasn’t about to let the remark slide, however, and proceeded to put her on blast in subsequent Instagram Stories. “How you hollering for the love [of] God ain’t never even been baptized?” she questioned. Saffold went on to post a screenshot of Jaidyn’s Tweet, turning the tables on her. “She ain’t call me no liar so who need to [shut] up,” she wrote.

“Imagine spending your 27th birthday behind bars for a BM that got a girl friend, kissing in front of yo kids, hollering to yo momma to shut up for the love of God. Oh okay [thumbs up emoji] this is a oxymoron,” she added. Saffold even went on to share a clip of Jaidyn holding what appears to be a bottle of alcohol behind the wheel of a car. Playboi Carti Arrested For Speeding In 2022 In Newly Leaked Footage: Watch

While Playboi Carti doesn’t have anywhere near the level of legal troubles as some rappers out there, he’s still had his issues. One of which was a 2022 arrest after being pulled over for speeding. But he wasn’t just driving a few over the speed limit. According to the officer who pulled him over he was going 133mph down a stretch of road with a 55mph speed limit. The extremely fast speed probably has something to do with why the incident resulted in his arrest.

Now nearly two years later, body cam video of the incident has surfaced online. In the video, Carti attempts to justify his driving but the officer who pulled him over isn’t having it. Surprisingly, fans in the comments seem to understand just how dangerous Carti’s behavior was. “Lmao can’t even be mad at the cop n*gga was gunning it,” one of the top comments on the post reads. Others came through with jokes about the whole situation. “Should’ve used the baby voice he would’ve walked,” one fan jokes in reference to Carti’s notorious high-pitched rapping. Kodak Black May Be Forced To Serve Jail Sentence Originally Pardoned By Donald Trump

Plenty of strange happened between the world of politics and hip-hop during the Trump era. From his on-stage appearance with Lil Pump where he famously mistook his name for Lil Pimp to Kanye West being invited to the Whitehouse which spawned numerous meme worthy moments. But one of the most interesting moments came when Trump faced pressure from the hip-hop community to commute the sentence of Kodak Black. He eventually caved to that pressure and Kodak was released.

But following recent legal trouble Kodak Black may end up having to serve that sentence anyway. Last month, Kodak was found in his car with the engine still running and signs of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine present. As a result he was arrested and charged with a number of crimes, headlined by cocaine possession. He’s been in jail ever since and will remain there for two more weeks until a hearing to evaluate reinstating his previously commuted sentence. According to AllHipHop, that hearing is due to take place on January 22. It could result in the sentence that Trump delayed being served anyway.

Kodak Black Could Serve Previously Commuted Sentence

After his arrest, Kodak’s lawyers filed for a 90-Day drug treatment program. It was an attempt to try and help the rapper overcome addiction issues. But it was only a few days later that the judge shut down that proposal. In his decision he described Kodak as a “danger to the community.”

That decision came after Kodak’s lawyers attempted to dispute the cocaine charges. They claim that what police thought was cocaine was actually Percocets. Despite that claim, the judge wasn’t any more likely to allow him to enter the drug treatment program and hasn’t yet altered the original charges. Kodak released his last album When I Was Dead in November of last year. The project featured the hit song “Lemme See” which has more than 8 million streams on Spotify. Moreover, he spoke on Quando Rondo’s recent stint on federal drug charges, for which he nabbed a $100K bond. Vlad asked the 41-year-old why Rondo’s career is struggling with these legal issues despite his artistry and industry support. For this, he had a pretty nuanced and empathetic answer.

Furthermore, Boosie sought to emphasize how he can relate to Quando Rondo’s situation and his run-ins with the law. He said that his past collaborator’s behavior reminds him of his own when he was also a young artist with a troubled background. Specifically, the Trill Entertainment affiliate agreed with Vlad that the Savannah, Georgia native should consider moving to another city to stray further away from his volatile path. Terrence Shannon Jr, Illinois Basketball Star, Arrested On Rape Charge

Terrence Shannon Jr, a star guard for the Illinois Fighting Illini, has been arrested on an outstanding rape warrant in Kansas. Shannon Jr turned himself in to police in Lawrence over an alleged sexual assault incident that reportedly occurred in September. Shannon posted a $50,0000 bond and returned to Illinois, where he was subsequently suspended from team activities. This was in accordance with university policy. “The University and [the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics] have shown time and again that we have zero tolerance for sexual misconduct. At the same time, DIA policy affords student-athletes appropriate levels of due process based on the nature and severity of the allegations. We will rely on that policy and our prior experiences to manage this situation appropriately for the University and the involved parties,” Illinois’ athletic director said.

The charge stems from an alleged incident when Shannon Jr traveled to Kansas to attend an early-season football game. Illinois officials noted that Shannon Jr was “not in Lawrence on official University business, nor was he a member of the University’s travel party.” Police in Lawerence have been investigating the allegations since September but only chose to charge Shannon Jr this week.

Terrence Shannon Jr Proclaims Innocence

Since posting bond, Shannon Jr proclaimed his innocence through his attorney. “Since September, when these allegations surfaced, Terrence has cooperated with law enforcement throughout the investigation, declaring his innocence from the beginning. Now, several months later, my office learned that formal charges were filed against him yesterday in Lawrence, KS. In less than 24 hours, my client responded, and he voluntarily surrendered to local authorities for processing and release. Terrence is innocent of these charges, and he intends to take his case to trial,” Mark P. Sutter said.

Shannon Jr is the nation’s 8th-best scorer at 21.7 points per game. However, with Shannon Jr suspended, Illinois will need to play around his absence as conference play begins. Ranked No. 11 in the latest AP poll, Illinois is 9-2 on the season, only falling to then-No. 4 Marquette and then-No. 17 Tennessee. Illinois ends their non-conference slate against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday. They then properly open Big 10 play against Northwestern on January 2.

HoneyKomb Brazy Out On Bond But Facing Federal Gun Charges

Alabama rapper HoneyKomb Brazy has a LONG history with the justice system and that doesn’t seem like it’s going to end any time soon. He was sentenced to 15 years in jail for gun charges back in 2020, though he only ended up serving 18 months of the sentence before he was released. He was returned to prison following a parole violation for drug possession after being released where he spent more than a year.

While Brazy was back in prison his grandparents both died as the result of a house fire. While the news was initially reported as an accident further investigation revealed that it was actually the result of a shooting. Four men were arrested for executing the shooting which police believe caused the fire after striking an oxygen tank. HoneyKomb Brazy Granted Bond

Earlier this month, HoneyKomb Brazy was arrested once again in his native Alabama. During a traffic stop, he and two men were found in possession of two guns. As a convicted felon, Brazy wasn’t allowed to have the guns and was arrested as a result. He’s been hit with charges for illegal possession of a firearm. That comes in addition to the drug charges he had dished out against him following the arrest.

In the month that he was free leading up to his most recent arrest Brazy was busy. The rapper was able to release some new songs. The biggest of the bunch were “6 O’Clock” and “Letter To God” both of which have racked up tens of thousands of Spotify streams.
