Moreover, body cam footage from 2021 surfaced online of a police officer pulling him over for speeding in his home city of Atlanta. During their interactions, Thugger pleads with the cop to not give him a ticket because he just got his license back and can’t deal with another speed bump. In fact, he even challenges the officer to a foot race, but he stands his ground and explains to him why this is important. Overall, it’s an incredibly regular conversation to have, and it’s nice to see that this wasn’t confrontational, presumptuous, or aggressive in any manner.

Furthermore, rappers in Young Thug’s position -– or frankly, Black U.S. citizens on a daily basis -– are far too often the subject of discrimination and undue persecution in the nation’s many facets of the legal and criminal system. Of course, the law is the law and accountability must stand, but it’s not hard to see when folks take it too far. One example of this is how the Atlanta trap pioneer is held to a double standard when it comes to his “gang ties” that are part of the image behind his music. Regardless, the last update that we got concerning his innocence or guilt in the YSL RICO case was a recorded 911 call. The most recent hearing in Young Thug’s trial played this audio, in which the caller claims that he is the shooter in an incident. It’s unclear how much prosecutors or the defense will pursue this specific case or if it will simply be general reference for the larger proceeding. Either way, there are a lot of conflicting narratives at play.

Still, many folks decided to clown his situation or speak negatively on it, including one Benji Blue Bills during a recent Instagram Live session. Specifically, he decided to take aim at the Opium boss’ attempts to get out of the arrest, and blasted this as bizarre movement from him. They have some issues to work out among themselves, so this is probably just an extension of that tension.

While Playboi Carti doesn’t have anywhere near the level of legal troubles as some rappers out there, he’s still had his issues. One of which was a 2022 arrest after being pulled over for speeding. But he wasn’t just driving a few over the speed limit. According to the officer who pulled him over he was going 133mph down a stretch of road with a 55mph speed limit. The extremely fast speed probably has something to do with why the incident resulted in his arrest.

Now nearly two years later, body cam video of the incident has surfaced online. In the video, Carti attempts to justify his driving but the officer who pulled him over isn’t having it. Surprisingly, fans in the comments seem to understand just how dangerous Carti’s behavior was. “Lmao can’t even be mad at the cop n*gga was gunning it,” one of the top comments on the post reads. Others came through with jokes about the whole situation. “Should’ve used the baby voice he would’ve walked,” one fan jokes in reference to Carti’s notorious high-pitched rapping. Moreover, recent news emerged that a Georgia state trooper pulled him over for speeding, which he said was because of the woman in his passenger seat. However, in video footage of the incident, we never see the woman in question, so it’s unclear if it’s really his wife or not. Regardless, according to Live PD Hardcore, an officer made a traffic stop after they saw a Range Rover speeding on the Atlanta highway.

“You just flew past my door at a very high rate of speed. You drove on the shoulder back there and almost struck that car,” they told the rapper, and asked him to exit the vehicle. “She was getting on my nerves,” T.I. responded, referring to the unidentified woman in his passenger seat. “I apologize. She was getting under my skin. I just wanted to get home as fast as I could so we can get out of the car, and I can go to my space and she can go to her space.” Again, we don’t know if this is Tiny, but unless this exposed an even more scandalous story, this is the next best theory.

Furthermore, T.I. struggled to provide the car’s registration because he apparently bought the Range Rover that same day. While footage of this came out in early December, the officer’s dash cam video doesn’t have the specific date of the traffic stop. Still, the trooper confirmed some information with the car dealership’s owner, and dismissed King and Domani’s father with three citations. As of writing this article, he has yet to address this situation publicly, so hopefully that means that everything smoothed out both in terms of the pull-over and the argument with Tiny.

As Karlissa Saffold narrowly avoids conflict with law enforcement, her son is also doing what he can to stay out of trouble. Video From Marquise Brown’s 2022 Speeding Arrest Released

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown received a less-than-ideal welcome to Arizona after being traded to the Cardinals last year. In August, the wide receiver was arrested for speeding. Reportedly, Brown was going 126 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. After being detained on Arizona State Route 101, Brown was booked into Maricopa County Jail for a Class 3 misdemeanor. The punishment for Brown’s arrest was not made public. Furthermore, Brown was not punished by the NFL for the incident. “We are aware of the situation regarding Hollywood Brown and have reported it to the NFL office as required,” the Cardinals said in a statement. “We will comment further as appropriate.”

Brown was traded on Draft Day 2022, moving from Baltimore to Arizona along with a third-round pick in exchange for a first-round pick. While the move reunited Brown with his college quarterback Kyler Murray, he had a down season in the desert. He was unable to replicate his 1000-yard season from 2021 and finished the year with 709 yards and three touchdowns. However, 2023 should be a bounce-back year following the departure of the previous WR1, DeAndre Hopkins. Despite this, people are once again talking about Brown’s arrest after TMZ obtained and released the arresting officer’s bodycam footage.

Brown Arrest Video Released

The video shows the arresting officer acting incredibly aggressively with the NFL receiver. After pulling Brown over, the officer moves to Brown’s vehicle and begins attempting to open the door while demanding that Brown “get out of the car right now.” When asked “why the hell he was going that fast,” Brown explains that he was going to football practice. As the officer continues to chastise Brown, Brown, who appears very compliant and polite, repeatedly explains that he is “new here.”

The officer appears calmer once back in his cruiser with Brown, referring to him as “bro” and explaining how to identify the carpool lanes, which Brown was also reportedly driving in. It’s not an especially exciting arrest video, as Brown is very compliant and eager not to anger the officer. That’s a major contrast to the recently released arrest video of DJ Hernandez. In that arrest video, the former college QB is seen asking officers to “shoot me” before being tased as he tried to approach them.

Jordan Addison Cited For Going 140mph In A 55mph Zone

Jordan Addison, a rookie wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, has reportedly been cited for reckless driving by Minnesota State Police. According to law enforcement officials, Addison was stopped on I-94 outside Minneapolis at 3:07AM on July 20. A state trooper had caught Addison’s Lamborghini Urus traveling at 140mph in a 55mph zone. The rookie was cited for speeding and reckless driving. “This remains an open investigation,” MSP officials said.

Of course, there has been a lot of focus on football players and dangerous driving in the last few months. An investigation found that, despite tragic deaths in January, a culture of reckless driving appears to have emerged at the University of Georgia. Furthermore, former Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs is looking at 3-10 years in prison after he killed a woman in a 2021 car crash. It is believed that Ruggs was going 120mph when he struck the vehicle driven by Tina Tintor. Tintor and her dog burned to death in the resulting crash.

He finished 2022 with 875 yards and 8 TDs, down from 1593 yards and 17 TDs the year prior.

He joins a receiving core that is looking to put on a more complete display compared to last season. Addison is supposed to be the headliner alongside Justin Jefferson, who is widely regarded as the best wideout in the league. It’s unclear if Addison’s citation will affect his presence at training camp. However, it’s far from the start to his NFL tenure that he was likely hoping for. As for the incident itself, the Vikings released a brief statement. “We are aware of last night’s traffic incident involving Jordan Addison and are gathering additional information,” the team said.

In February, Brown pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of excessive speeding. Brown was arrested in August of 2022 on these charges. According to police, the Cardinals receiver was caught going 126 mph in a 65 mph zone. The NFL star was driving a 2020 Mercedes during the incident. The incident took place in Maricopa County.

In 2022, Brown finished his first season with the Arizona Cardinals. After spending his first three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, he was traded to Arizona. Brown competed in 12 games for the Cardinals. Grabbing just three touchdowns on 709 receiving yards. The speeding incident took place before the 2022 regular season began. However, an incident of this magnitude could’ve still weighed heavy on the Arizona star. With so much happening in his life, it’s easy to say that Brown was distracted in 2022.
