Kanye West Greets A Big Group Of Trump Supporters Cheering Him On In Beverly Hills

Kanye West and Bianca Censori were strolling around Beverly Hills on Saturday (August 17) in a Cybertruck when they ran into a very curious sight. However, it was actually this curious sight that reacted excitedly when they spotted the couple, as a group of Trump supporters quickly swarmed the vehicle when they realized who was inside. It’s unclear if this group was at a rally of some sort, a casual gathering, a protest, or some other form of organized activity. Nevertheless, they started chanting Ye’s name, and he drove off when it became more about him than about old Donald. We know that he seemed to continue to support the convicted former president this year, so maybe they’re still buddy-buddy.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, recently made a blunt statement about Kanye West on Adin Ross’ stream. “He’s very complicated,” he said of the Chicago artist during his sit-down with Ross. “He’s a really nice guy. But he can get himself into trouble and get some other people, but you know. He’s got a good heart, he does. But he’s complicated.”

Elsewhere, Kanye West fans are witnessing yet another album cycle update itself in real time thanks to some new VULTURES 2 changes. Sadly for him and Ty Dolla $ign, these tweaks and fixes haven’t really turned people around when it comes to their assessment of the project’s quality. Many fans think that this is one of the more disappointing releases in the Ye catalog, and certainly one of the most unkempt. We’ll see if the third installment ever comes, but after these divisive drops, we know that many fans would rather just have him and Ty leave that in the vault.

Meanwhile, some other musical tweaks on Taylor Swift’s behalf suggest that she sent some shade Kanye West’s way on her new updated album. Particularly, it’s seemingly a reference to Kim Kardashian. But that’s mostly speculative despite their long history of beef, a history that makes it pretty hard to see this song title change as anything but a subliminal. Regardless, this Trump-related interaction shows that Ye still has some pull within that crowd for better or worse, and hopefully this doesn’t energize him to fire back in the same way he has for the past two years or so.

Pretty Vee Gets Cooked Online For Racist New Video

Pretty Vee has had a pretty hectic few months in the public eye, catching heat for her Sonya Massey comments and other online antics. Moreover, the most recent of these is a new video she uploaded online that depicts her, for lack of a better description, making fun of Asian culture to the tune of Megan Thee Stallion and Yuki Chiba’s “Mamushi.” The comedian dances and salutes in a pretty mocking way, and while it’s clear that it’s just meant as a joke and not an attack, a lot of people didn’t find it very funny. We’ll see if she responds to this backlash in any significant way.

Elsewhere, Pretty Vee recently stepped into the online space to defend B. Simone after a brief and unintentional social media spat with Soulja Boy. “Don’t play with me @souljaboy. You better play with them ones like this but not @thebsimone. Again she said what she said, now WHAT. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus you living creature [several crying-laughing emojis].” We doubt that this scuffle will escalate beyond an isolated viral moment, but it’s Soulja… We wouldn’t put anything past him.

Pretty Vee Faces Heavy Backlash For Offensive Clip

Back to Pretty Vee, though, she also went viral recently for making fun of her ex Rick Ross’ Vancouver incident with Drake fans during her comedy show. For those who didn’t catch that story, Rozay played Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss track at a festival in the city, and allegedly refused to turn it off at folks’ request. Then, a group of OVO die-hards confronted Ross and his entourage, resulting in a fight that the rapper feels the aftermath of to this day. In fact, one of these guys actually released a diss track against him, despite the sad reality that he will probably never respond.

Regardless, it’s not as sad as the reality in which Pretty Vee took things too far with this video. Her beef with Rick Ross will probably keep being a background narrative in their careers. But it’s clear that they can stir up controversy for far less than that. Let’s just hope that the next cultural exchange on Vee’s behalf comes with more respect and explanation.

50 Cent Reacts To Lil Rod Attending His Shreveport Festival Amid Diddy Lawsuit

50 Cent’s “Humor & Harmony Weekend” event in Shreveport, Louisiana saw a lot of celebrities pull up to indulge in the festivities. He wanted as many people as possible there, and a recently viral clip suggests that he’s probably very happy with who came through. Moreover, Uncle Murda ran into Lil Rod at the shindig amid the producer’s lawsuit against Diddy, and Rod even called the executive out for owing him money for it. “Hey everyone was invited, it was the place to be that weekend. [shrug emoji] what you want me to do? LOL,” Fif reacted to this development online.

“I got my n***a that’s suing Diddy for all that bread,” Uncle Murda said at 50 Cent’s event while filming Lil Rod next to him. “Stop playing, n***a. My boy want that check, n***a. We want that money by Monday, Diddy.” “I’m from Chicago. We don’t play about our business. I want my money by Monday,” Rod added. Considering the ill will that the G-Unit mogul has for his Bad Boy counterpart, this isn’t much of a surprise. We’ll see what other Instagram antics follow when it comes to that rivalry.

50 Cent Reacts To Lil Rod Calling Diddy Out At His Shreveport Event

“Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday,” Diddy’s lawyer Shawn Holley stated to HipHopDX concerning Lil Rod’s claims. “His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with [Lil Rod]’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

Meanwhile, 50 Cent thinks that the silence on Diddy’s allegations on behalf of many celebrities suggests their compliance. “I’m the only person in hip-hop culture that has produced any hit television. Why wouldn’t I be the person to produce it?” he told US Weekly about his Sean Combs documentary. “And I’m not on the tapes. See, some of the people who have been around in the culture who are not saying anything. That’s because they’ve been to the parties… They don’t know what part of their experiences are on tape. So it keeps them quiet. And it looks like I’m the only guy, but I’ve been [saying] for years that something’s not right.”

Donald Trump’s “Collab Track” With Kodak Black & Fivio Foreign Leads To Twitter Uproar

Sadly, we got to that point in the 2024 U.S. presidential election in which Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are taking over the aux. Moreover, fans expressed shock at the former’s new “collaborative single” with Fivio Foreign and Kodak Black, “ONBOA47RD.” The title refers to Trump’s current bid to be the 47th president of the United States, and the two rappers are more than happy to endorse him for it. Of course, this track resulted in a lot of backlash from fans online, whether they were Republican supporters, strong opposers, or just fans of Fivio or Kodak’s music. Their issues ranged from the politics on display to the corniness of the track, among other criticisms.

As far as the song itself goes, it’s a pretty standard Fivio Foreign and Kodak Black performance with some sharp bars here and there and presidential references. The beat is unremarkable, but you’re wondering about that Donald Trump appearance, aren’t you? It’s an opening vocal sample from his RNC speech this year, his first since the assassination attempt on his life. “I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” he told the crowd. “I’m here today to announce a brand-new plan to deliver more opportunity, more security, more fairness.”

Trump, Kodak Black & Fivio Foreign’s “ONBOA47RD”: Listen

As for what portion from this speech the track “ONBOA47RD” sampled, here’s Trump’s statement: “I will fight for you with every breath in my body and I will never ever let you down.” Therefore, this becomes the latest extreme example of hip-hop engaging with politics this year, which is usually not that combative or decisive of a conversation. Instead, it usually looks more like Meek Mill’s questions for Trump’s opposition, Kamala Harris. He wants to ask the Democratic candidate about her time as a D.A. and her policies on crime. Check out more reactions to “ONBOA47RD” down below.

Fans React

Meanwhile, it seems like Lil Pump will release a pro-Trump track of his own, adding to the convicted former president’s arsenal of rappers. Kamala Harris has plenty of supporting MCs as well, with Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo leading most of the way forward. We’ll see what else the hip-hop world has to say about this chaotic and absolutely turbulent election. Will you bump “ONBOA47RD” or is it the weirdest thing you’ve seen happen this week?

Lil Rod Addresses Diddy In New Video: “I Want My Money By Monday”

Lil Rod’s lawsuit against Diddy is one of several filings accusing the Bad Boy mogul of sexual assault, harassment, abuse, sex trafficking, and other crimes. Moreover, it seems like Rodney Jones Jr.’s still waiting for his money and expecting Sean Combs to respond eventually, as he detailed in a new video. Uncle Murda ran into Rod at 50 Cent’s “Humor & Harmony Weekend” event, and teased him about being the one to sue Puffy for $30 million. Eventually, Jones Jr. said “I want my money by Monday.” It makes sense that the two men would be joking about this, as neither has much love for Combs and Fif is an even more ardent detractor of his fellow executive’s.

Furthermore, the last update we got on Diddy’s situation is another theory from the G-Unit mogul. “I’m the only person in hip-hop culture that has produced any hit television. Why wouldn’t I be the person to produce it?” he told US Weekly about the documentary he produced about the disgraced multi-hyphenate.

Lil Rod Calls Diddy Out

Elsewhere, Boosie Badazz thinks that other accusers like Cassie want even more money from Diddy, much like how Lil Rod is demanding his cut. “It’s just a mess right now,” he posited during his latest DJ Vlad interview. “It’s just a mess everywhere right now. Cassie and that side don’t sound too happy. I know she ain’t got no $30 million.”

Meanwhile, as far as Diddy’s legal situation, there haven’t really been much updates on his whereabouts or his moves. Instead, a lot of recent conversation revolved around Yung Miami’s Caresha Please confessions about their relationship. As for his numerous lawsuits on the table, we haven’t really seen much development in any of them. But all of that could change very quickly, so we need to simply keep our eyes peeled and keep asking for what’s next.

Dr Umar Accused Of Posting Fake Text Message From Kamala Harris’ Campaign

Dr. Umar Johnson is a very popular and often divisive voice in Black culture these days. Whether it’s his thoughts on the rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake or, in this case, his thoughts on politics, he’s always making waves for his staunch perspectives. But a lot of folks think that the psychologist and social media personality was too quick to hop in that conversation. Moreover, he posted a screenshot of an alleged text message that the Kamala Harris campaign sent him to link up, along with his enthusiastic response. However, many reacted to this post by doubting that this was actually from the Harris campaign. Did Dr. Umar fall for the trick or is he trying to make this conversation happen through some Internet hijinks?

“Hello Dr. Umar Johnson. [redacted] from the Harris2024 team,” the alleged text message from the Kamala Harris campaign to Dr. Umar began, sent at 10:30PM local time. “You are a big part part of the Black community. Can you help us by completing a Zoom meeting with VP Kamala Harris. Paying [redacted]. We are looking for about an hour of your time. Please advise if you would like to complete the Zoom call. Your help can get us across the finish line. HARRIS2024.” Scroll through the replies in the Twitter post below to see folks’ skepticism.

Dr. Umar’s Alleged Text Exchange With Kamala Harris’ Campaign

“Peace & PanAfrikanism,” Dr. Umar responded at 11:45PM local time. “I hope that all is well. I’m not interested in your money. However, I am very interested in having the zoom conversation with Vice President Harris to discuss our needs and her plans for the Black community. This zoom must be livecasted to the national Black community and may not be prerecorded. I promise to be completely respectful of the Vice President but I will ask direct questions about miseducation, mass incarceration, police brutality, economic strangulation, gentrification/migrant crisis, reparations & and [sic] the need for a federal anti-Black Hate Crimes Bill.”

Other figures like Meek Mill might share some of Dr. Umar’s sentiments. “I wanna ask Kamala Harris questions about her past as a da. Even if she had to be tough….” he recently tweeted. “All I hear is rumors of her. I would ask her 3 questions about black and brown men going to prison. And her views and try to help her understand from a survival standpoint point she may have never had to encounter!”

Meek Mill Goes Viral For His Tough Questions For Kamala Harris

It seems like the absolutely chaotic 2024 summer we’ve had so far is getting Meek Mill slowly but surely back into electoral politics after years of advocacy and other politically, legislatively, or socially relevant work. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter with a tough question that he wants to ask Kamala Harris. For those unaware, the “5AM In Philly” MC explained how he doesn’t really know a lot about either Harris or her opponent, Donald Trump, beyond what the media has told him and the theories that he came across. As such, it looks like he chose to share that process of discovery, personal research, and policy evaluation with his followers instead of focusing on it himself.

“When I was locked up tv programming taught me every detail about ‘stormy Daniels’. That was when I learned the art of programming ….” Meek Mill had ranted about Trump. “My X has turned back to trump life again … i never did a history check on trump he even been to my hood with ot7 mobbing! He got shot at basically put his middle finger up after a bang out got hit in the head nobody ran. hope you get well too we get shot at a lot! Got indicted. still running for president! Who is this guy trump fr I know some wild guys but wtf lol just my thoughts!

Meek Mill’s Question For Kamala Harris

I’m not endorsing anybody I know nothing about politics …” Meek Mill continued. “He was owning building. I was living in north Philly in poverty getting shot at. Seeing death going to jail for environmental s**t … all I see on phones and tvs is trump. it’s like tf is this guy.” “I wanna ask Kamala Harris questions about her past as a da. Even if she had to be tough….” he said of the Democratic candidate. “All I hear is rumors of her. I would ask her 3 questions about black and brown men going to prison. And her views and try to help her understand from a survival standpoint point she may have never had to encounter!”

Furthermore, the irony is that Meek Mill endorsed Josh Shapiro to be Kamala Harris’ vice presidential running mate. Does he know about her campaign or not? We’ll see to what extent the Philly rapper will learn more…

DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Took 20 OVO Affiliates To Michael Rubin’s White Party

Michael Rubin’s recent Breakfast Club interview was controversial for many reasons, but one particularly interesting part of the conversation was when he talked about Drake’s attendance at his Fourth of July White Party this year. Moreover, this led DJ Akademiks to claim that the OVO mogul took 20 of his close associates, including his bodyguard Chubbs, to the event, and was the only one allowed to do so as everyone else had a tight one-guest limit. Not only that, but Ak claims that The Boy did so because he wanted to determine the temperature of his industry peers, since this bash went down about two months after the Kendrick Lamar battle ended.

Furthermore, Michael Rubin admitted that he banned Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” at his White Party due to Drake’s attendance. “It was true,” he said of these rumors about the diss track’s blacklisted status. “I just didn’t think it was appropriate, so I said, ‘Hey, let’s not play anyone’s music that’s feuding with anyone here.’ That was a me decision. I just thought it wasn’t the appropriate thing to do.”

Elsewhere, though, a lot of fans don’t really care about this alleged intimidation tactic, and are just looking forward to whatever Drake does next. They already have their theories, as his recent Top Gun references have fans sleuthing as to how this could connect to a potential album’s possible theme. In addition, this also contributes to a lot of tiresome, albeit still captivating and interesting, discourse around the Kendrick Lamar battle that a lot of people would just rather ignore or leave behind at this point. But with so many unanswered questions, who can blame consumers for wanting to stay up to date.

Meanwhile, many rumors emerged about how people treated Drake and how he treated others during the White Party. Lil Wayne, for example, shouted GloRilla out as the only person to say hi to him at the event, which is odd considering the footage that surfaced of Drizzy speaking to Big Glo and how his tight relationship with Weezy continues to this day… Right? Well, other rumors are pointing towards that maybe not being the case, although it’s entirely possible that Tunechi was just talking about people that he hadn’t met in person before. Either way, this is a celebrity mystery that we will likely never confirm the details of for sure.

Latto Takes Heat From Ice Spice Fans Amid Disappointing Sales Projections

Latto’s new album Sugar Honey Iced Tea got a lot of love from her fanbase and from the wider hip-hop sphere… But comparison is the thief of joy. Moreover, some of her rival fanbases online, including that of Nicki Minaj and her big beef opponent Ice Spice, clowned the project’s first week sales projections, which point to a number 17 debut on the Billboard 200 chart with around 27,000 in album-equivalent units sold. Of course, this isn’t the worst chart debut of all time for an artist of the Atlanta femcee’s visibility, but it certainly isn’t making the big commercial splash that she and many others likely hoped for.

Numbers aren’t everything, but the fact that Latto has these feuds with other female rappers makes her (and them) an easy target for ridicule and clowning when things don’t go perfectly. But everyone would benefit from remembering that, beyond the very tip-top of the game which is still seeing diminishing returns compared to years past, pretty much every artist in the mainstream is finding it more and more difficult to get their sales numbers up without a massive and calculated backing campaign from the industry. For example, Ice Spice’s Y2K! debuted with 28,000 in first-week sales at number 18 on the Billboard chart, and despite it being about half the runtime of Sugar Honey Iced Tea, it still puts both LPs at pretty much the same level of commercial success for now.

Latto Haters Clown Her (And Fans Defend Her) Over First Week Sales Projections For Sugar Honey Iced Tea

Instead, what will really differentiate a lot of these albums and narratives is longevity and how these femcees and other artists across the industry will maintain their momentum or squander it. In Latto’s case, she’s got a tour coming up very soon that could help in this regard. Find more reactions to Sugar Honey Iced Tea‘s sales projections down below.

More Fan Reactions

Meanwhile, this is what Ice Spice had to say about her and Latto’s beef. “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare,” she expressed during a recent interview. “It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me. I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U The S**t’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of s**t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re talking about something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me… again.”

Playboi Carti Trolls Adin Ross By Including Their Phone Call In A New Leaked Track

Playboi Carti still hasn’t dropped a new album, and apart from his “officially shared” material over the past few months, plenty of unofficial leaks also surfaced. A recent unreleased track appeared online and raised many fans’ eyebrows for how it seemingly disses Adin Ross by using an alleged phone call recording of the streamer in the intro. As for the quality of the song itself, it’s basically a more low-key version of what you’d expect from this Carti era, but there’s not enough context to really tell whether this is a troll or a genuine diss. Either way, he’s definitely leaning into the bit, and we can’t imagine that Adin is too happy about this considering the money that the rapper finessed from him after their failed livestream.

Furthermore, this isn’t the first time that an alleged Playboi Carti leak has seemingly dissed Adin Ross and the higher-ups at the Kick streaming platform in the past. “I scammed a billionaire, woah,” he raps on an unreleased leaked version of “Type S**t” with Future, Metro Boomin, and Travis Scott. It’s a bit of a weird flex, but a notable line regardless.

Playboi Carti Includes Adin Ross Call In New Leak

Meanwhile, Adin Ross is not happy with Playboi Carti at all (for understandable reasons), and is even campaigning against his new music. He said that the Whole Lotta Red creative’s last “single” on social media, “KETAMINE,” is “trash” and “damage control” for all the new security footage that Adin released of their livestream moment. Of course, fans on either side have their reasons to clown their fav’s enemy, and most of them probably are just enjoying the antics and find the whole thing funny. But we doubt that things will ever get super serious between a content creator and an antisocial artist.

Don’t think Carti 2 is happening anymore,” Adin Ross expressed concerning his failed efforts to link up with Playboi Carti again. “I have a theory that Carti was just texting me to kind of just keep me in the position where I’m not gonna be on his bad side, where I’m on the internet talking crazy, if that makes sense. To get the heat off his name type s**t. I think I got played, but hey bro, it is what it is. Because I was texting his phone and he stopped answering out of nowhere. I have the warehouse footage. I’m about to just release it. Once I get the confirmation that we’re not doing part two. Is that blackmail? I mean dude, I kind of got scammed, so I’m blackmailing a f***ing scam so you can’t blame me.”
