Long before she became named in the Diddy sexual assault lawsuit, Daphne Joy was born in 1987 in the Philippines. Since immigrating to the United States, she has received work as an actor and model, appearing in films such as Setup, Frankenhood, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, according to her IMDb. Joy has also launched a self-titled swimwear line, offering bold and breathable designs that accent the beautiful feminine curves of her patrons. The latest clothing drop is currently on pace to premiere on April 26, per Daphne’s Instagram.

Daphne Joy has also worked as a model and frequently appears in the advertising material for her swimwear collection. Her social media showcases a wide array of collaborators, including photographers and luxury brands. According to a write-up in Page Six, she also produces OnlyFans content, which can be accessed by the public for $24.99 per month.

Association With Diddy

While Daphne Joy’s true relationship to Diddy remains unknown, the pair have not shied away from showing each other love online. Jones claims that Joy is one of several women whom Diddy paid a monthly stipend for sex work as part of an ongoing legal case regarding sexual assault.

Lil Rod also claims that he was responsible for choosing sex workers to bring onto Diddy’s yacht for a January 2023 trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands and that Diddy forced Rod to engage in sex acts with these escorts against his will. As expected, 50 Cent has been viciously trolling his one-time baby mama along with Diddy on social media, poking fun at the sex work allegations and seeking sole custody of his son from Daphne Joy’s care. After repeatedly posting about Joy’s predicament on social media, Joy snapped back at 50 with a lengthy post accusing him of abuse and assault. She also accused 50 Cent of being a bad father, suggesting that she moved herself and their son Sire within a mile of 50’s residence in New York, only for 50 to visit ten times in the span of 2 years.

While it remains unclear if there is any validity to these claims, Joy also posted a response to Lil Rod’s sex work accusations on the same day, writing, “I am deeply hurt by the lies in Rodney Jones’ lawsuit. The claim that I am a sex worker is 100% false and character assassination. I am retaining an attorney to explore all legal remedies against both Rodney and his attorney.”

UMG Boss Lucian Grainge Wants Court To Dismiss Him From Lil Rod’s Diddy Lawsuit

The lawsuit against Diddy from Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, the producer accusing him of sexual assault and sex trafficking, doesn’t just include allegations against the Bad Boy mogul. Moreover, two big record companies appeared as defendants in this suit due to alleged liability reasons: Motown and Universal Music Group (UMG), plus a notable individual. This is the head of the latter organization, Sir Lucian Grainge, who reportedly requested the court via his legal team (which is also acting on behalf of these companies) for dismissal from the case altogether. Attorneys for all three parties, referred to as “the UMG Defendants,” reportedly filed a motion for this dismissal on Wednesday (April 24) and asked a New York judge to throw out all claims concerning them with prejudice, according to court documents reportedly obtained by journalist Meghann Cuniff.

“All of the claims against Grainge, Motown and UMG Recordings (the ‘UMG Defendants’) in the [second amended complaint] are lacking in any legally cognizable basis,” lawyers supposedly argued in court docs concerning the Diddy case. “Every claim [premises] on the untenable strict liability theory that when one enters into a commercial contract, the payor under that contract becomes liable for anything that the recipient of payment does with the payment.

“There is no law underpinning such theory and the baseless ‘general business partnership’ allegation in the [second amended complaint] provides no support,” the legal team reportedly continued in their argument in dismissal from the Diddy case. “The claims against the UMG Defendants are entirely bereft of legal merit and should be dismissed with prejudice.” Lil Rod’s lawsuit claims that Lucian Grainge helped Sean Combs engage in his crimes, which Grainge’s attorneys allegedly denied outright. “Plaintiff and his counsel (Blackburn) have blown up a $50,000 claim for underpayment for production services into criminal accusations against Sean Combs and his associates,” they reportedly expressed.

Diddy’s Lawyers Reportedly Plan On Bringing Up Rodney Jones’ Alleged Criminal History

According to new unconfirmed reports, Diddy’s legal team is taking new measures to combat the claims made by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against him. Moreover, for those unaware, Jones accused him of sexual assault and sex trafficking, explosive claims similar to others that came forward. However, these are only allegations and all of the accusations put forth have been unconfirmed by a court of law at press time and the validity of any evidence is also unconfirmed. This new report from the Daily Mail suggests that Sean Combs’ lawyers, in addition to denying all of Lil Rod’s claims in tandem with Combs standing by his claims of innocence, are supposedly pointing to Rod’s alleged criminal history.

Furthermore, the outlet reports that Diddy’s legal representation is allegedly pointing to a reckless homicide conviction that Rodney Jones received back in 2003. In addition, defense lawyers in this specific case are apparently alleging that Rod also faced multiple assault charges that eventually resulted in dismissal. Tyrone Blackburn, Jones’ attorney and a staunch proponent that Puff will be indicted soon, responded to these allegations via a Page Six statement. In it, he claims that this is merely an attempt from the defense team to distract from supposedly harsher upcoming consequences, and that Rod pleaded guilty to this because he didn’t have proper legal representation.

“I am sure you know that a charge is not a conviction,” Blackburn said of Diddy’s team’s claims. “So, running this story on behalf of [Diddy’s camp] is problematic and calls into question your integrity as a journalist. Mr. Jones’ July 2003 reckless homicide occurred when he was 17 years old. He was driving a vehicle with his cousin in the passenger seat. The police pulled him over, but he was afraid and drove off. It was pretty typical behavior for a young black boy in Chicago when pulled over by the police. As a result, he totaled the vehicle, and his cousin, who was his best friend, died.

“He has to live with the guilt of the death of his best friend and family member for the rest of his life,” he continued. “But don’t let that stop you from running this story and getting your clicks. [Diddy’s] legal team can do nothing to distract from the fact that he will be indicted soon.” One of the Bad Boy mogul’s attorney’s previously claimed to TMZ that Lil Rod is “a liar who filed a $30 billion lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday” along with the team’s other denials of any and all wrongdoing. Lil Rod Hasn’t Talked To Diddy Investigators For Testimony, But Is Willing: Report

The federal investigation into Diddy’s alleged criminal activity amid his various sexual assault lawsuits is still a mystery, but supposed reports on it paint a potentially explosive picture. Moreover, according to TMZ, federal authorities have not yet contacted Rodney Jones, also known as Lil Rod, to offer sworn testimony for this process. For those unaware, Jones put forth one of the couple of lawsuits against the music executive, and his shocking claims roped celebrities like Usher and Meek Mill into the mix. Of course, it should be emphasized that this is an unconfirmed report based on secondhand claims, so we still have to see whether he actually participates.

Furthermore, this follows other reports about another Diddy accuser apparently cooperating with this investigation from the FBI. Cassie’s lawsuit against him sparked this current wave of scrutiny and judgement, whether that’s from the general public, the music and business entertainment industries, or now law enforcement. She reportedly joins others in that cooperation, but until there is an actual federal case prepared against the Bad Boy Records founder, we won’t know for sure. Also, there’s the possibility that these will only be interviews, and that some of these accusers might not want to appear in a public-facing trial.

While these are a lot of moving and unconfirmed parts to consider, it stands the reason that Diddy’s accusers would be of the highest priority when it comes to who the federal investigation wants to talk to. TMZ also claimed through their alleged sources that Rodney Jones is willing to cooperate if the FBI asks him to do so. However, according to their report, he feels patiently satisfied with the federal raids on the rapper’s homes. These specifically centered around a sex trafficking investigation that, if true considering their alleged nature, would relate to some of the claims that Lil Rod put forth.

Meanwhile, authorities haven’t formally charged Sean Combs with anything, and he denied any and all accusations against him. Interestingly, his settlement with Cassie didn’t prevent her cooperation, if reports are true, and he still faces plenty of civil lawsuits whose allegations haven’t seen a conclusion. Paparazzi spotted Cuba Gooding Jr. in South Beach, Miami, on Easter Sunday. In a photo published by TMZ, he appears to be checking his phone on the back of a golf cart. Two unknown people are sitting up front. The picture comes after Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ named him as a co-defendant in his sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy. Additionally, police raided Diddy’s nearby Miami property just days beforehand.

In Jones’ lawsuit, his lawyers allege Gooding Jr. “began touching, groping, and fondling Mr. Jones’ legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks, and his shoulders.” It also says Jones “was extremely uncomfortable and proceeded to lean away from Mr. Gooding Jr… He rejected his advances and Mr. Gooding Jr. did not stop until Mr. Jones forcibly pushed him away.”

Gooding Jr. hasn’t broken his silence on Jones’ lawsuit but hasn’t been seen with Diddy at all as of late. Diddy, for his part, has denied the allegations stemming from the lawsuit. “His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines,” a statement from his lawyers reads. It further argues: “We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”
