PartyNextDoor’s “P4” First-Week Sales Projections Are In

Last week, PartyNextDoor unveiled his eagerly anticipated fourth studio album, PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4). The project has since been met with plenty of praise from fans and critics alike, with many arguing that it’s some of his best work yet. The album is his first in four years and follows his 2020 LP PARTYMOBILE. It’s the third in his self-titled series, following his 2016 offering, P3.

While fans continue to hype the Canadian-born performer’s latest project, estimates on how it’ll perform in its first week have surfaced online. According to HipHop-N-More, it’s on track to sell 33–38k. This is a bit of a drop-off from what his last album PARTYMOBILE sold in its first week, 50k.

PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 On Track To Sell 33–38K In First Week

The announcement of PartyNextDoor’s new album made a splash, thanks in part to its NSFW cover art. It features a nude model bent over on a bed, which had all of social media shaken. The cover is so shocking that many even suspected it was some kind of April Fool’s Day prank, but alas, it wasn’t. The model in question is Lanazia Greene, who also goes by MaamiNextDoor. It was later revealed that she has a child with Haiti Babii, who took to social media to address the outcry over the scandalous album art. Fortunately, he didn’t seem too upset by the cover. In fact, he seemed happy for the mother of his child.

“I didn’t know my child’s mother stripped or did only fans or was a part of PND rollout,” Haiti Babii explained. “I’m not posting to shame or humiliate her because I know she’s living her dream.” What do you think of PartyNextDoor’s new album, P4? What about predictions that it’ll sell between 33-38K in its first week? Do these numbers surprise you or not? Did you expect it to sell more or less? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Future & Metro Boomin’s “WE DON’T TRUST YOU” First Week Sales Projections Are In

Future and Metro Boomin just set the rap world ablaze with their new collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU for a couple of reasons. All of them, though, have contributed to a lot of discussion, debate, and of course, a whole lot of play on digital platforms. Moreover, we now have the first wave of first week sales projections for the LP, and they are a pretty promising prediction. If the legendary Southern trap duo keeps their pace up, they are expected to move between 190K and 220K album-equivalent units. This would certainly land them high on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and points to a very likely No. 1 debut.

In addition, there’s one song whose viral status and rap game-shattering status has a big chance to land in the top three of Billboard‘s Hot 100 song chart -– and ironically, it’s about the Big Three. If for some reason you haven’t heard Kendrick Lamar’s guest verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” yet, then you’re in for a treat, so stop reading right now if you don’t want spoilers. Well, we already spoiled the former TDE lyricist’s surprise feature, but that’s beside the point. In his feature performance, he challenges Drake and J. Cole, dismissing their status as the “Big Three” of 2010s and current hip-hop and proclaiming himself to be the sole top dog.

Future & Metro Boomin’s Commercial Performance For WE DON’T TRUST YOU Is Great So Far

What’s more is that Future and Metro Boomin allegedly had plenty of reasons to welcome Kendrick Lamar’s shots here. For example, there are rumors that Future and Drake have beef right now, as people have pointed to specific lines on WE DON’T TRUST YOU as “evidence” of this. Regardless of fans’ excitement at another rap feud, this is all very speculative right now. As such, we just have to wait and see whether this develops in a battlefield or behind relatively closed doors, as nothing is safe from the Internet.

Meanwhile, Metro and Drake supposedly have their own rough patch to handle. Even though most of this article spoke on these alleged beefs, WE DON’T TRUST YOU is much more than just this narrative. Folks and the media are just going wild over this story, but there are plenty of bangers, standout lines, incredible production moments, and solid sequencing to make this album greater than the sum of its parts. As if all this wasn’t enough, Spotify announced that this is the most streamed album in a single day of 2024 so far. With another team-up full-length record coming from them in just a couple of weeks, if everything goes as scheduled, fans expect this reunion to get even better. Let’s see how it fares. For more news and the latest updates on Future, Metro Boomin, and their collaborative albums, stay up to date on HNHH.

ScHoolboy Q Gets First Week Sales Projections For New Album “BLUE LIPS”

ScHoolboy Q may have just crafted a gem of the 2020s with his new album BLUE LIPS, his first in five years. Moreover, fans have been very receptive to the comeback, singing the tracklist’s praises and breaking down all the intricacies within. Although this is still a very big release, it also feels like it really cements the TDE MC’s legend status rather than forge a new claim to the throne. Despite that, it seems like he will still make a big commercial impact and set up many more great albums to come. Furthermore, the first week sales projections for the LP are here via a HITSDailyDouble report.

According to this report, BLUE LIPS is expected to push between 30K and 35K album-equivalent units in its first week, based on day one streams and sales. While this might not seem like all that impressive compared to other big releases, it’s great to see that ScHoolboy Q can make a significant splash after so long out of the game. Of course, the cultural, critical, and fanbase impact was going to be there regardless, and it’s much more important than what any numbers suggest. Overall, the “Foux” spitter should be very proud of what he offered here, and of the success it’s bound to have.

(Jason Armond / Los Angeles Times via Getty Images)

Not only that, but projections indicate BLUE LIPS will be the highest-charting album to debut this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It will be interesting to see if ScHoolboy Q can top other charting 2024 releases as of late in the rap world, namely Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 1 and Yeat’s 2093. As for this week, it seems like Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time will nab another non-consecutive week as the highest-charting album in the U.S. You probably still haven’t forgotten the absolutely dominant run that this country record went on in 2023, and it looks like it won’t slow down just yet.

Meanwhile, if you’re curious, you can check out fans’ reactions to BLUE LIPS and see if you agree. What did you think of this new album, and how do you feel about these first week sales projections? Whatever the case, let us know down in the comments section below. Also, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on ScHoolboy Q.

“Vultures” First Week Sales Projections Increase Amid Distribution Drama

Say what you will about Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s new collaborative album Vultures, but it’s been the talk of the town all week. Moreover, whether folks are discussing some of their favorite moments or unpacking the controversies behind the release, everyone has something to say about the LP. If you remember last time we got projections for its first-week sales, this first installment in an allegedly longer series was expected to sell around 140K units. However, a new report from HITSDailyDouble on Friday (February 16) indicates that it’s now expected to sell over 150K units and debut at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with less than a full week of availability.

Furthermore, this last point will be quite an interesting one for Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign because of how difficult it’s been to put Vultures out. The album already disappeared several times from Apple Music after failing to appear on Spotify in the first place. This was due to various distribution issues, which since resolved themselves temporarily with a simple change letting the album back on the streaming platform. As such, many folks wonder what difference these removals and issues caused when it comes to the project’s bottom-line sales, streams, and marketing.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s Vultures Gets First-Week Sales Projections Update

Not only that, but Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign faced a whole slew of other technical problems with Vultures. Sample clearance issues, delayed live events, clearing verses… the list goes on. Still, it seems like the duo hasn’t given up yet and doesn’t mind continuing to deal with these headaches. They are apparently holding more listening parties for the collab album and for its supposed sequels, but this time, in Italy.

Meanwhile, with more live performances scheduled (such as for Rolling Loud California), we’ll see how much longer the Vultures train stays on track. Well, not having a clear track seems to be the point, so we’ll see how much longer they can keep this all up. If previous Ye rollouts are anything to go by, then this is just the beginning. On that note, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, and Vultures.

Yung Miami Unbothered By “RAW” Album Sales Projections Critics

The landscape of the industry has changed significantly in recent years, leaving many artists with lower first week sales numbers than ever previously seen in their careers. In particular, women working in music are having a difficult time keeping up with their male counterparts, and as a result, getting clowned online despite all their hard work and other achievements. We saw it happen to both Coi Leray and Chloe Bailey earlier this year. Now, it’s the City Girls whose critics are coming at them over their RAW sales. Regardless of what people like DJ Akademiks have to say, Yung Miami and JT don’t seem to be letting their projections get them down.

Earlier this week, we found out that the duo’s new arrival is set to move a total of 6K – 9K album equivalent units during its first seven days out. Compared to artists like Drake or Bad Bunny, these numbers are obviously minuscule, but as Caresha pointed out on Twitter, she’s not mad at the results. “That’s good for a b**ch who voice y’all hate and can’t rap😏,” the Florida native wrote on Monday (October 23) evening.

Yung Miami is Plotting on Her Haters

In another post, Miami made it clear that she’s keeping tabs on those who are throwing shade her way. “All of a sudden everybody hate me,” she posted yesterday. “I’m bookmarking everything ☺. I love to make a b**ch eat they words!” the “Twerkulator” artist further noted.

Even though the numbers for City On Lock (approximately 19K) were substantially higher than RAW, the former album actually stirs up plenty of emotional turmoil within Yung Miami whenever it crosses her mind. Ahead of their latest drop, the City Girls sat down together to discuss their past work, which gets the podcaster all up in her feelings over the untimely death of her baby daddy. Read everything Miami had to say at the link below and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Pink Tape” First Week Sales Projections Are A Potential No. 1, Young Thug Album Moves 88K

Lil Uzi Vert has been keeping us on our toes with teasers of his Pink Tape album for years now. On Friday (June 30), the highly anticipated effort finally hit DSPs, much to rap lovers’ relief. It came complete with 26 tracks and appearances from Don Toliver, Bring Me The Horizon, and Travis Scott. Perhaps one of the most well-received titles on LUV’s new release is “Endless Fashion” with Nicki Minaj. The Queen of Rap contributed a verse that she’s revealed was nothing short of “exhausting” to complete.

Little more than 24 hours after Pink Tape made its debut, it’s being reported that it could mark the first No. 1 hip-hop album of the year. Uzi’s last LP, Eternal Atake, arrived to great success in early 2020. It subsequently moved 288K album-equivalent units and earned 400M US streams in its first week. At the time, it was the fourth-largest streaming debut the music industry had seen, so it’s no wonder the Philadelphia native took their time with dropping the follow-up.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape is a Hit

At the time of publication, Twitter is facing issues preventing us from receiving exact first week projections for Pink Tape. Regardless, knowing that the fashion icon could help hip-hop achieve such a major milestone is exciting.

It was thought that Young Thug might be the man for the job last month, however, he unfortunately fell short to Morgan Wallen after selling 88K. The country superstar has been topping the carts for several weeks now, but could very well be dethroned by Lil Uzi Vert in the coming days.

“BUSINESS IS BUSINESS” First Week Sales Projections: Young Thug Up Against Morgan Wallen For No. 1

Even from his cell in Cobb County, Young Thug is still running laps around the music industry. This past New Music Friday (June 23), the Atlanta-based artist dropped BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, his first LP since 2021’s Punk. He connected with several familiar faces on the tracklist, though fans seem to be enjoying Drake and 21 Savage’s various contributions the most so far. Others who appear throughout the 15-song effort include Future, Lil Uzi Vert, and Travis Scott.

On Monday (June 26), HDD unveiled their first week sales projections for Thugger’s album. His last project managed to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling a total of 90K. The 31-year-old’s latest work is likely to top that based on today’s estimate. BUSINESS IS BUSINESS could move anywhere from 95 – 110K album-equivalent units, giving it a strong shot at topping the charts. However, he’ll have some serious competition for country star Morgan Wallen.

Young Thug Could Have Dropped Hip-Hop’s First No. 1 Album OTY

The embattled crooner‘s One Thing At A Time is in the midst of a 12-week run as we move into summer, and it won’t be long now before we find out if Thug has the chops to beat him. Of course, Wallen isn’t the only competition that the So Much Fun hitmaker’s highly anticipated LP was up against – Coi Leray shared her sophomore effort, and Boosie Badazz celebrated his release from jail with new music as well.

Young Thug’s decision to drop an album this past weekend isn’t entirely surprising seeing as Gunna’s a Gift & a Curse arrived the Friday before. While the latter went the featureless route and sold a total of 83K, the YSL leader’s decision to work with names like Drake and Travis Scott on BUSINESS IS BUSINESS prove to be working in his favour in terms of racking up streams – and potentially the No. 1 spot. Which of the two albums do you prefer? Let us know in the comments, and read what others have been saying at the link below.

Gunna’s “a Gift & a Curse” First Week Sales Projections Surface

The way that the music industry has been treating Gunna over the past few months, it’s seemed as though the Georgia native would never be able to sell a record again. Despite all the critics though, he made a triumphant return this past New Music Friday (June 16) with his featureless a Gift & a Curse album. Thus far, listeners have shown the most love to “bread & butter,” which previously landed as a single, as well as “fukumean” and “back to the moon.”

Throughout his 15-song tracklist, Gunna addresses the countless snitching allegations that have racked up against him. He also makes it abundantly clear that he’s focusing on succeeding musically, the same way he was before the YSL RICO indictment last year. Despite his music causing clubs in Atlanta to come to a “complete stop” lately, the newly reported first week sales projections for a Gift & a Curse are actually quite impressive.

Akademiks Reveals Gunna’s Projected First Week Sales

According to DJ Akademiks, Gunna is on pace to move 78K album-equivalent units. His last project, January 2022’s DS4Ever did nearly double that, with 150K units sold, ultimately beating out The Weeknd for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts at the time by only 2.3K. It seems unlikely that a Gift & a Curse will come out on top, but it could make an appearance in the top 10 if things continue to turn in the embattled artist’s favour. Other new arrivals he’s up against include Killer Mike’s MICHAEL, Kiana Lede’s Grudges, and 6ix9ine’s surprise Reggaeton effort, Leyenda Viva.

While he waits for the final first week numbers to come in for his latest LP, Gunna has been keeping us entertained with a collection of music videos that help to tell his story. On Monday he delivered “i was just thinking,” and today he returned with “idk nomore” See that for yourself at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Lil Yachty’s First Week Sales Projections For “Let’s Start Here”

Lil Yachty just made a massive cultural splash with his latest album, Let’s Start Here. Moreover, the psych-rock album turned heads for Yachty’s diversion into a different genre for a whole project. Still, predictions for its first week chart performance indicate a modest start with a lot of potential for growth.

ATLANTA, GA – OCTOBER 18: Lil Yachty attends a concert after party at Onyx Nightclub on October 18, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.(Photo by Prince Williams/Wireimage)

Furthermore, reports predict that Let’s Start Here will push anywhere from 19,000 to 24,000 copies in its first week. Of course, these copies are album equivalent units taking into account streaming, physical sales, and more. However, some may consider these numbers underwhelming. After all, Yachty’s last studio release Lil Boat 3 sold around 30,000 copies in its first week.

Still, numbers don’t show just how awe-inspiring, thoughtful, and creative Let’s Start Here is. Overall, the album is a hazy but vibrant exploration of mental isolation, love, idiosyncrasy, and finding yourself in a world full of feedback static. While Yachty’s vocal performance is odd in the traditional sense, his animated and hazy voice fit well on the trippy instrumentation. Many already made their jokes on Twitter: Purple Floyd, The Wock Side Of The Moon, the whole nine yards.

Moreover, the team behind Let’s Start Here shows how deeply Yachty rooted himself in all kinds of music over the years. For example, the album features Fousheé, Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, Diana Gordon, and Justine Skye. Also, it includes producers, collaborators, and band members including (and related to) Yves Tumor, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Magdalena Bay, MGMT, Alex G, and Mac DeMarco. While the Atlanta native certainly deserves all the praise he’s getting, let’s not forget he didn’t do it alone.

Also, Lil Yachty recently spoke on what this album means to him at a listening event.

“This album is so special and dear to me,” he remarked presumably before the album played. “I think I created it just because I really wanted to be taken serious as an artist, you know. Not just some SoundCloud rapper, not some mumble rapper. Not some guy that just made one hit. You know, I wanted to be really taken serious because music is, like, everything to me. You know, I respect all walks of music, not just rap and hip-hop, everything.

“So I think I wanted to make something to show the world just how great it was to me,” Yachty continued. “If we just gonna be honest, I mean, I had n***as that were copying the swag. I just felt like ‘Okay, cool, everyone can do this, that’s fine, but I’m gonna show y’all what y’all can’t do.’ You feel me? That’s what’s on this other side. I hope y’all are good, I hope everybody got the shrooms in your body. You feel me? Like I said, just no flashes, and… see you n***as on the other side.”

Still, what did you think of Lil Yachty’s first week sales projections for his new album, Let’s Start Here? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for the latest album drops, numbers discussions, and more amazing music.

SZA Compares Drake To Regina George As “SOS” First-Week Sales Projections Surface

In the midst of SZA’s sophomore album, SOS, finally making its long-awaited debut, the TDE vocalist has been doing her share of press to promote her work. Among other recent interviews, she sat down with Audacity to chat about not only her music but also her love life.

As you may recall, the Ctrl hitmaker was previously name-dropped by Drake during his guest appearance on 21 Savage’s “Mr. Right Now.” The Canadian raps, “Said she wanna f*ck to some SZA, wait / ’Cuz I used to date SZA back in ’08,” on the Savage Mode II track.

During her chat with the outlet, SZA confirmed the long-standing rumours about her and Drizzy. Interestingly, she also compared the father of one to a Mean Girls character. “I feel like Drake has a Regina George quality to him,” she said.

“It’s just kind of like, ‘Have you or anyone you know been personally victimized?’ He’s like a cool kid, you know. When you’re the popular kid in school, it’s entertaining. It’s entertaining, but you sometimes are taking losses in the midst of that entertainment.”

Speaking on the lyrics about her, she specifically noted, “The honesty, I respect that. But I definitely laughed real hard… I cackled.”

Even with their past history, SZA maintains that she and Drake have “always been cool.” She told Audacity, “It’s never been weird. It’s never come completely out of the blue.”

Thankfully, the Scorpion artist had the good sense to warn her before dropping the song. She also says that any mention her ex makes of her has been positive, and no negativity comes from him.

“I’m grateful for that and I think highly of him, and I think it’s really weird that as all these years went past, I am an artist now and I wasn’t then and he’s King Drake,” she said.

Elsewhere in the news, the first-week sales projections for SOS have arrived. As HDD reports, the new album is due to sell 275 – 300K copies in its first week out.

In comparison, her first album, Ctrl, did approximately 60K upon its arrival. If the numbers are accurate, SZA’s project will be among the top 10 biggest debuts of 2022.

If you haven’t already, stream SOS here. Additionally, check back in with HNHH later for more music news updates.
