Nicki Minaj Apologizes To Photographer After Attacking Him During Show

During Nicki Minaj’s recent San Antonio tour stop of her highly successful Pink Friday 2 trek, she did a double take at one point when she thought she saw a “Peeping Tom” looking up at her with a camera from within the stage set-up. Always one to act decisively and staunchly, she kicked the camera. “Ow that’s me! No!” you can hear the cameraman say. “This is one of the craziest things we’ve ever captured. Yall plz look @ this,” the Trinidadian MC captioned her Twitter post showing the moment off. However, on Instagram, she then clarified that she actually kicked her photographer Grizz by accident, as she didn’t recognize him and thought he was just a random creep.

Still, it’s not like Nicki Minaj doesn’t clash with her team often, as she recently blasted an assistant online for a food order she messed up. But at least they got to the bottom of things and were able to clear the situation up, and the initial clip of the kick is a bit funnier with this content in mind.

Meek Mill Offers Hefty Reward To Anyone Who Can Find Proof He Had Sex With Diddy

Ever since around the Lil Rod lawsuit against Diddy, folks have berated Meek Mill with a lot of attacks, jokes, and assumptions regarding his connection to the music executive. Moreover, while he continually denied any involvement, people continue to accuse him of having sexual relations with him. This is sad because people are focusing on the Philly rapper’s alleged sexuality as if it was a problem instead of the Bad Boy mogul’s alleged crimes. Nevertheless, when Meek asked a question about why many folks are stepping down as CEOs, people clowning him in the replies eventually led to a pretty lucrative offer on his behalf.

“I will personally give you a million dollars if these stories add up in anything weird …” Meek Mill tweeted on Thursday night (Septmeber 19). “it’s 2 things we can’t do in the trenches … it’s no way yall know what type of man I am. #cybertruck at 12 tap in lil buddy!” Meek hasn’t really commented much on the matter as of late though, and it’s anyone’s guess as to why. But we imagine he’s probably tired to death of all the jokes at this point.

The last public clowning that Meek Mill experienced came from Wack 100, who flippantly addressed the whole thing on multiple occasions at this point. Meek’s called him out on Twitter every single time, and Wack’s responded by posting alleged audio of his and Diddy’s supposed sexual interactions. We wonder how this discourse will evolve now that Sean Combs is officially behind bars and awaiting trial, but we can’t imagine it will change much. After all, this story is still as salacious, debatable, and explosive as it’s ever been, even if people hyper-fixate on other celebrities’ alleged involvement rather than the weight of the accusations themselves.

Meanwhile, the last Diddy update we got concerns an alleged claim from the late Kim Porter about Diddy’s alleged relationships with young boys. This comes from an alleged compilation of diary entries she supposedly wrote about their relationship, bringing up then-18-year-old superstars and rappers that he previously managed. But the book’s publisher provided no solid proof that these were actually Porter’s letters, so take that with a grain of salt.

Nicki Minaj Mocks Laid-Off Employees At Cardi B’s Record Label

Hundreds of Atlantic Records employees were in for a surprise when parent company Warner Music’s CEO, Robert Kyncl, emailed them today (Thursday, September 19). The media conglomerate announced a massive restructuring process for Atlantic that will include layoffs, warning them of some bad news moving forward. This is obviously no laughing matter, but Nicki Minaj barely held back in her shade. Many speculate that her dismissive reaction to this news on Thursday morning is because Cardi B is on Atlantic, and because the label has allegedly tried to sabotage Nicki’s career as a result of their beef.

For example, she recently went off on an assistant who made a food order for her, but just had one small issue: she didn’t conceal Nicki’s identity.

Elsewhere, Nicki Minaj continues to share about her life and beefs, whether combatively or in a more measured manner. She claimed to still not have U.S. citizenship recently, and while she didn’t talk about it more, a lot of fans expressed surprise upon hearing this. “I’m not a citizen of America. Isn’t that crazy?” Nicki shared. “I was born on a beautiful island called Trinidad and Tobago. But I’ve been in the States for many years. You would think that with the millions of dollars that I paid in taxes to this country that I would [get] an honorary citizenship many, many, many thousands of years ago.”

Regardless, Nicki Minaj is a massive icon and probably drove many Barbz to petition the U.S. government unprompted to give her what she deserves. Jokes aside, we wonder what her next revelation to fans will be, and what that story reflects. In this case, it’s partly about the biggest femcee rivalry since Minaj’s original rise and largely about the music industry’s competitive and merciless practices. Let’s see if any Atlantic employees come knocking at Heavy On It’s door… a label whose parent company Republic Records also had layoffs this year, funnily enough.

Tia Kemp and Rick Ross don’t really like each other very much, and things between the former couple and coparents of an 18-year-old got even more contentious over the years. What for? Well, pretty much every reason you could think of. Regardless, things between them don’t tend to turn in dark directions since they just keep things to social media trolls and other attacks. But Kemp’s recent accusations against the rapper, accusing him of participating in murder and putting hits out on people, might make this an even more combative and irreconcilable relationship moving forward. Hopefully none of this is true and they can handle this behind the scenes.

The arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs sent pop culture into a frenzy, or at least, even more so than what the conversation around his allegations entailed. As such, many folks looked back throughout history to put previously innocuous moments into this darker context, even if most of the accusations against him remain unverified. For example, the Internet resurfaced a clip of Jennifer Lopez on The Wendy Williams Show back in 2015 per InTouch Weekly, about 14 years after Jennifer and the Bad Boy mogul broke up. When Wendy proposed that they could reconcile, J.Lo shut this down as the camera cut to her mother Guadalupe Rodríguez, who made a dismissive hand gesture and seemed to mouth “It’s done.”

Of course, this is pretty ironic considering another resurfaced clip that re-emerged recently of Jennifer Lopez looking back on their relationship… In a way. Moreover, during an interview with Big Boy, he asked her whether or not she would save Ben Affleck or Diddy if she only had space for one on a life raft. “I’d let both of those motherf***ers drown!” the superstar expressed amid raucous laughter from everyone there.

This was before Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s romantic reconciliation, which is even more ironic now considering their current break-up. Nevertheless, it’s been bizarre and almost frightening to look back at moments like these with the shroud of Diddy’s allegations in mind. Sometimes, these situations come up when it comes to romantic relationships, whereas other tales center around the music industry and other interpersonal business moves. In any case, there will probably be much more reevaluation of all this in the coming months, whether in the courtroom or in the court of online public opinion.

Meanwhile, Shyne recently became the latest Bad Boy affiliate to comment on Diddy’s arrest. “This is someone that destroyed my life,” he told reporters. “But do I take any joy or any satisfaction with what he is going through? Jay Critch Gets Into “1 Vs 6” Brawl With Trollers In New York

Overall, Jay Critch comes across as one of those MCs who stays to himself for the most part. He’s rarely causing drama in the public eye and seems pretty humble. Unfortunately, the Brooklyn veteran has occasionally gotten tangled up in some street fights here and there. It’s nothing that’s too out of the ordinary in general, but for some reason that’s what seems to be a reoccurring thing here and there. For example, around this time two years ago, Critch went viral for getting into it outside of a New Jersey nightclub alongside some of his boys.

Ironically, the Humble Giant is making headlines for the same reason again as video footage below shows. It isn’t much, as the clip is only five seconds. But it appears that Critch was jumped in the streets of New York as an assailant hits him in the face with what is said to be his shoes. Like the NJ debacle, there isn’t any word on how things unraveled. But unlike last time, we have some physical evidence of Critch and one of his alleged “6” attackers jawing at each other after the fight online.

He then replies, “@jaycritch I beat you out ua sneakers before they even got there, and I let you have ya chain”, he began. “I took it off ya neck…. Later, to try and put away any doubts that Critch wasn’t telling truth, he added on his IG Story, “End of story!”, with his aforementioned quote above. Maybe this time we will learn the cause of this brief and viral clip.

Stephen A Smith became the latest sports commentator and celebrity to give his two cents on the Shannon Sharpe Instagram Live scandal. “Shannon Sharpe was having sex,” he remarked on his show. “That’s what he was doing, okay? He was getting it in. It’s just that it wasn’t for everybody to know. And evidently, you know, he was on Instagram Live and didn’t know. As a result, although no video was seen – thank the Good Lord – we heard quite a bit. We heard quite a bit. Initially, he thought his stuff was hacked and then, obviously, he came out and told what transpired. And that was that.

“From that point forward, you’ve had people speculating as to whether or not was he gon’ get fired, was he going to get suspended, et cetera, et cetera,” Stephen A Smith continued. “Again, he works on First Take. I’m the executive producer for First Take. So if something was gon’ happen to him with regards to ESPN, I’d be one of the first to know. Let me be the first to say that Shannon Sharpe committed no crime. It wasn’t some sex tape that he meant for everybody to hear. That’s not how he rose. I [got] to know him personally. That’s not who he is, that’s not how he rose, okay? So let me get that out of the way first.

Fyre Festival Organizer Wants 50 Cent To Replace Ja Rule For Second Iteration

If you hadn’t already heard, Fyre Festival 2 is allegedly taking place next year, and already has some big developments underway. Moreover, TMZ recently caught up with the festival’s organizer Billy McFarland over the weekend and asked him about the supposed follow-up to the disastrous first iteration that landed him in prison. He says that this next festival will fully live up to the first’s promises, and he apparently has hard dates already lined up for April 25 of next year in Mexico. However, the most important and interesting part of McFarland’s new statement (which you can check out by clicking the “Via” link below) came later… That is, if you’re a fan of hip-hop and rap beef.

Billy McFarland asked 50 Cent to replace his former Fyre Festival partner Ja Rule to spruce up the entertainment department. Apparently, live music will be but a small part of this second iteration, amid other luxuries like scuba diving. In addition, he also claimed that 3,000 people already signed up to stay at the island they rented. But McFarland’s words are particularly curious because of Fif and Ja’s long-running feud, and because of his own issues with the latter.

For those unaware, the last update in Billy McFarland and Ja Rule’s dispute over who messed Fyre Festival up was the former’s boxing challenge to the latter. Here’s how he proposed it: someone was willing to pay $350,000 to see the two battle for 15 minutes, and all that money would go to all the employees that didn’t receive payment for their work during the festival. Maybe 50 Cent is the one willing to cough up some cash to try to embarrass his sworn rival some more…

As for 50 Cent and Ja Rule… Do you really need an explanation or update? They are always clowning each other and mocking each other online, whether it’s for sports teams losses or other hip-hop fare. If the G-Unit mogul were to participate in Fyre Festival 2, that would be a pretty big slap in the face to his Murder Inc. nemesis. But then again, they’re used to those jabs…

The Joe Budden Podcast and its titular host recently discussed the Shannon Sharpe scandal on their show. “That’s what people are saying,” he responded to Flip’s assessment that Shannon Sharpe wanted to prove non-heterosexuality rumors wrong. “Let’s slow down, because both of those are very important points and I don’t want to breeze by either of them,” referencing Parks’ skepticism that this was an accident. “People are saying that he did this in response to some of the allegations and rumors that have been attached to his name.”

“I’m not all the way mad at that,” Joe Budden said of Parks’ idea that Sharpe went Live intentionally to promote his Nightcap podcast sponsors, which are erection pills. “My problem with what Flip is saying, if that’s true, and the rumors are right that he’s responding to something… Oh, f**k, I don’t even want to be the one to say it, but I’ma say it. The problem with that is that I don’t think that people were saying that Shannon Sharpe is gay. Yeah, [they were], but that’s reckless Internet chatter. I think what they was saying is that Shannon Sharpe is bi. I don’t think anybody doubts that Shannon Sharpe was sleeping with women. But in today’s society, if you’re not part of that community, you might view that as gay.

NLE Choppa Is Livid Over Complex’s Best Rappers In Their 20s List

Complex recently put out yet another hotly debated list of the 20 best rappers in their 20s right now, and the hot takes and backlash flowed like boiling water. However, for all the outraged fan reactions and discussions, it seems like no one took this list more personally and seriously than NLE Choppa. He recently took to social media to vent about his exclusion from the list, although he made it clear that he did not mean to disrespect anyone on it or discredit their deservedness. The Memphis native flaunted about his success at a very, very young age, and posited that there are very few people in his space that are reaching the highs that he is.

Of course, whether or not you agree is up to you, but NLE Choppa feels like the publication should’ve made a 21 best rappers list as to not boot him off, since he feels as deserving of praise as his peers. Still, we doubt that this will slow him down in any way. The 21-year-old has done a great job of battling bigots who are mad at his support of the LGBTQIA+ community. Some queer-baiting accusations followed, but that’s just part of the industry promo machine.

Elsewhere during the clip above, NLE Choppa also hinted at big things coming from him in October once he wraps up this current era. For those unaware, his latest contribution to it is “SLUT ME OUT 3” with Carey Washington. Not only does the track provide a sonic switch-up from previous installments, but it’s also somehow dirtier than ever. We’ll see whether or not these next releases follow these footsteps, go back to tried and true formulas, or bring something else entirely to the table as a new approach.

We’re sure that many rappers in their 20s probably feel like NLE Choppa to a certain degree. But he has a unique penchant for boldly standing tall against criticism.
