Future and Metro Boomin are on a heater. We Don’t Trust You, their collaborative studio album that dropped on March 22, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Future and Metro Boomin followed that up with We Still Don’t Trust You, a “completely separate body of work” that’s all but guaranteed to also debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Between the two, Future and Metro Boomin have released 42 songs in three weeks.
Still, Metro Boomin won’t rest.
On Friday evening, April 12, Metro a 65-second visual for “All My Life” featuring Lil Baby — one of 25 tracks from We Still Don’t Trust You. The behind-the-scenes video hits all the appropriate notes for a behind-the-scenes video.
There are various shots of luxurious cars, including but not limited to a Tesla Cybertruck. While someone is lighting up in the studio, Future can’t stop vibing to his own “All My Life” bars about selling out Madison Square Garden while his peers can only sell out Barclays Center, flying to Japan, taking a Xanax (“I’m so f*ckin’ high, I can’t even see straight”), and “Ballin’ on this sh*t like Johnny Manziel.”

Lil Durk is someone who has grown into a bonafide superstar over the last couple of years. Although he started out as a pioneer in the Chicago drill scene, he has been able to find mainstream success. Co-signs from the biggest rappers in the entire world have given him huge gains. Overall, he can make his albums go number one while also being one of the most streamed rappers in the world. It has been incredible to watch this growth take place, and there is no doubt that fans have loved growing alongside him.
As it stands, Lil Durk is currently on the Its All A Blur – Big As The What tour with J. Cole and Drake. He is the opener for the two, and he has been trying to do something special with every new city he visits. In fact, that is exactly what he was able to accomplish while heading to Pittsburgh. In the news report below, you can see that Durk brought 20 kids from a local school on stage. Moreover, after their performance, he gave the kids $100 and they looked mesmerized by the cash.
As the person in charge of the kids explained, Durk was extremely gracious with them. He was eager to meet with them and speak to them directly. Not to mention, giving them all $100 each turned out to be a sweet gesture that they will all remember for a very long time. Hopefully, they spend it on something nice for themselves, as they most definitely deserve it.

As if the night couldn’t get any more epic, Drake has decided to add another name to the fold. On February 5, the “First Person Shooter” rapper took his Instagram official to announce that Lil Durk will officially join the tour soon. Following Lil Durk’s recent win at the 2024 Grammys for Best Melodic Rap Performance, this is the perfect way for him to kick off his year.
Although Lil Durk hit the road in 2023 for his Sorry For The Drought Tour, he was forced to cancel multiple dates due to health concerns. With his health seemingly in a better place, Lil Durk can reunite with those who could not catch him live before. It also allows him and J. Cole to perform their now Grammy Award-winning collaboration, “All My Life,” nationwide.
At this time, it is unclear if Lil Durk will be a fixture on the tour until it wraps up in mid-April. So, be sure to stay tuned for further details. Continue below to view the It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? schedule.

Drake And J. Cole’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?’ poster
Lil Durk and J. Cole took home the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for their collaboration, “All My Life,” at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. Together, they beat out fellow nominees Doja Cat (“Attention”), Burna Boy and 21 Savage (“Sittin’ on top of the World”), Drake and 21 Savage (“Spin Bout U”), and SZA (“Low”). It makes Durk’s first-ever Grammy win and Cole’s second.
Fans on social media were happy with the result. Responding to the Recording Academy’s announcement on Twitter, one user wrote: “Lidurk deserves it. Kudos. Hard work pay.” Several others remarked that it was “well deserved.”
Lil Durk & J. Cole Perform At iHeartRadio Music Festival
Durk previously discussed the collaborations with Cole during an interview with The Nadeska Show, last July. He described the rapper as a “legend.” “He went super crazy,” Durk said at the time. “It’s so crazy because we’d been talking for like, two years, and he’d always be like, ‘Send me a record.’ And I’m like, ‘I gotta find the right record.’ I’m glad I waited two years. In my eyes he a legend. If you have a chance to do a song with a legend, it be like, will you send them something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you gone make it stick. So that’s why I never just sent him a record. Cause I’m like, ‘I want something that’s gon’ stick.’ As soon as I did the record, he was the first person to pop in my head. Like, I got it. I believe in timing. Timing is everything.”
Elsewhere during the ceremony, Killer Mike swept his award nominations, Victoria Monét took home Best R&B Album, among other results. Be on the lookout for further updates on Lil Durk and J. Cole as well as the rest of the 2024 Grammy Awards on HotNewHipHop.
Lil Durk’s messages of positivity are stronger than ever. The Chicago MC is back with some new versions of his feel-good smash hit, “All My Life.” Of course, we all know the original song features a terrific verse from J. Cole. But, Durk wanted to bring some new sauce and sure did that with two remixes. The first of the two-pack brings on Nigerian multi-talent, Burna Boy. Then, on the second rendition K-pop boy band, Stray Kids enters the mix.
It is worth mentioning that neither edition includes a different beat to fit each artist’s respective style. The same triumphant production from Dr. Luke remains. So, if you were hoping for that sort of change, you will not be happy. But, if you still enjoy the beat, then it is a win-win. However, what is unique about the Stray Kids inclusion is that J. Cole is removed from it to make room for all of the bandmates to shine.
While it is not as surprising to see Burna on a track with Lil Durk since he does do a lot of crossovers into hip-hop, Stray Kids is an enticing mixture. More and more rappers are beginning to dip their toes with artists from Asia, like Jack Harlow. It creates new and exciting ideas to keep rap fresh. Hopefully, others take these examples and run with it.
What are your initial thoughts on these remixes from Lil Durk, Stray Kids, and Burna Boy? Which version sounds the best to you so far? Are any of these improvements on the original with Durk and J. Cole? We would like what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Lil Durk, as well as all of the hottest song releases.
Quotable Lyrics From (Burna Boy Remix):
Call me what you want, but don’t call me weak All my life, they tryna put me on my knees (Ayele oh oh, Ayele ko ko) All my life I try not to waste precious time, waste my precious time I choose to speak life Why they plot to take my life over food and wine?
Lil Durk undoubtedly had one of the biggest hits of the summer. His J. Cole collaboration “All My Life” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and certainly made a cultural impact within the realm of hip-hop. After their first live performance of the song together last month at iHeart Radio Festival, the song shows to have longevity months after its release. Tonight (October 13), Durk and Cole have opted to take their song international with a fresh new remix pack.
In the remix pack are two new versions of “All My Life,” one featuring K-Pop group Stray Kids, and another with Afro-fusion superstar Burna Boy.
Burna opens the new version of the song, rapping about his rise to fame, going from a Nigerian staple to an international sensation.
“Head f*cked up as a young buck / Seven years couldn’t leave my continent / Came to America, sell out stadiums and turn up / At any time,” says Burna on his verse.
Durk and Cole’s verses remain the same as the verse on the original, but thankfully, many fans lauded these bars from the jump.

Burna Boy is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Lil Durk had a hit on his hands this past summer. His J. Cole collaboration “All My Life” was in heavy rotation on the radio and streaming platforms these past few months. The song even reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. But despite the two rappers’ musical chemistry and the song’s undeniable impact, the two had never performed the song live together.
Until last night (September 22), that is. At iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas, Durk performed a comprehensive set of his several hits. During the set, he surprised fans by bringing out Cole for a performance of “All My Life.”
Though this was only the first time the duo has performed the song together live, the two matched each other’s energy well. The audience cheered when Cole arrived to the stage, and maintained their good spirits as the two performed the song.
While the two have a clear admiration for each other, Durk admitted in an interview with Complex that he felt Cole outrapped him on the song.
“The number one thing, he smoked my ass on that, for one,” Durk said. “Barely. That barely happens. But shoutout to Cole…We made it happen.”
It’s been odd to think about the fact that one of the year’s biggest hits so far hasn’t been performed by both its artists on the same stage. After all, isn’t that a surefire way to get a crowd excited and energized, especially at a music festival? Well, that’s what Lil Durk realized for his Friday (September 22) set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. As the Billboard mainstay “All My Life” started to play, J. Cole emerged to thousands of fans excitedly cheering for his surprise appearance. The two rappers embraced for a moment, went close to the crowd, and got them bouncing for the chorus drop.
Furthermore, it’s great to see that Cole and The Voice were able to make this happen, even a while after its release. The two spoke very fondly of their respect for each other before and after their collaboration came to light. It proved to be a major standout on Lil Durk’s album Almost Healed, with both MCs operating at top form over one of the project’s most notable instrumentals. Compared to the Chicago drill artist’s other work, it’s emblematic of how tender, honest, and emotive that LP can be.
Here’s what Lil Durk most recently had to say about the collab in an Apple Music interview. “Shout out to J. Cole,” the “Pelle Coat” hitmaker began. “Even just to have that type of music out, just on a positive level, feels super, super good. I think that the J. Cole feature was definitely unexpected for my fans. He went super cr*zy. And it’s so cr*zy, because we’ve been talking for two years. He always be like, ‘Send me a record,’ and I’m like, ‘I got to find the right record.’
“And I’m glad I waited two years, because in my eyes he’s a legend,” he continued. “So if you have a chance to do a song with legend, do you send him something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you’re going to make it stick? So that’s why I never just sent him a record, because I want something that’s going to stick. As soon as I did the record, he was the first person that popped into my head. I’m like, ‘I got it.’” For more news and the latest updates on Lil Durk and J. Cole, come back to HNHH.
It might seem silly or too soon to start thinking about which songs from 2023 will get nominated come next year’s awards season. Still, if you’re going to entertain yourself with that notion, “All My Life” by Lil Durk and J. Cole seems like a surefire prediction. Moreover, the track is a perfect blend of contemporary style, timeless messaging, and impressive lyrical displays, bridging all sorts of worlds within hip-hop. What’s more is that the collaborators spoke for two years before finally landing on this record in particular. During his latest interview, Smurk expanded to Nadeska on how the song came about.
“He went super cr*zy,” the Chicago MC said of the North Carolina native’s performance on the cut. “And it’s so cr*zy because we’d been talking for, like, two years. He’d always be like, ‘Send me a record.’ And I’m like, ‘I gotta find the right record.’ Man, I’m glad it wasn’t three years. In my eyes, he a legend so if you have a chance to do a song with a legend, you either send them something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you gon’ make it stick. But that’s why I never just sent him a record. ‘Cause I’m like, ‘I want something that’s gon’ stick.’ Yeah, as soon as I did the record, he’s the first person that popped into my head. I’m like, ‘I got it.’ Yeah, that’s why I believe in timing. Timing is everything.”
Lil Durk On Waiting For The Right J. Cole Collab Record
Of course, this is far from the first time that Lil Durk praised J. Cole’s performance. “I had to listen to it like four times,” he said of the verse. “You know I ain’t super big on lyricist-type rappers. With Cole, [he] was one of the ones, like him and Jay, you gotta play them 50 times to catch what they’re saying. Like, if you listen to Lil Wayne right now, and you heard some s**t ten years ago that you just catch onto today. But he definitely gave me one of them verses and I appreciate it. ‘Cause he ain’t even have to, for real. He could’ve gave us anything.”
Meanwhile, Cole’s manager Ibrahim Hamad clarified rumors that The Voice paid him almost a million dollars for the feature. While he quickly called cap on that number, such a moment this year was surely priceless for many fans. One can only imagine what other dream track team-ups Durk is waiting for the perfect moment for. For more on Lil Durk and J. Cole, stay up to date on HNHH.
A rumor is floating around that J. Cole got paid $1 million for his feature verse on Lil Durk’s “All My Life.” According to Cole’s manager, Ibrahim Hamad, that’s cap.
To give the true story, Lil Durk spoke with Zane Lowe about his new song on New Music Daily on Apple Music 1. He explains to Apple Music where the song came from, why J. Cole had to be on it, and what his fans can expect from his upcoming album, “Almost Healed.”
Speaking about the single, Durk reveals the inspiration came from his mood.
“Whatever mood I’m in, I just go to the studio and just make the music, you know what I’m saying?” Durk said. “I just feel like a positive vibe went up with Dr. Luke, you know what I’m saying? That’s the first song he played and I just felt it and I’m like, ‘Man, I want J. Cole On this.’ And I made it happen. I’ve been talking to him, checking up on him, just seeing how you doing. You wait for the right moment for him to ask to be on the song.”
Durk also revealed J. Cole is one of the rappers that he looks up to. “He like one that I looked up to that give out a positive message to. Him, of course, like HOV. Swizz. Yeah, Swizz got me and Hov connected, so that’s how we started talking, you know what I’m saying? It’s just about relationships, about energy, and about keeping the vibes together.”
Fans yearned for the full release of “All My Life” when Durk first teased it with a viral Instagram sample that lit up the internet. As J. Cole skillfully delivers his reflective stanza, the track’s mellow piano melody establishes the mood. Durk duets the chorus with a children’s chorus before delivering his verse.
