Despite the fact she hasn’t given The Barbz an album since 2018, Nicki Minaj remains a dominant force in the world of hip-hop. Since 2022 she’s been sharing collaborative efforts with Coi Leray, Lil Baby, Fivio Foreign, Ice Spice, and many others. On top of that, her solo efforts “Super Freaky Girl” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” have both gone on to achieve mass success on streaming. A few weeks back, the mother of one confirmed that her Pink Friday 2 LP will be arriving this fall, and since then, she’s been in full-time Queen of Rap mode making sure it’s ready for the world on time.

As HipHopDX reports, Minaj hit a major Spotify milestone earlier this week. According to a tweet from @chartdata, she’s now officially the first female rapper to surpass 65 million monthly listeners in the music platform’s history. The news is definitely celebration worthy, and not long after it came out, the Trinidadian was on her IG Story showing off a flashy new chain that’s surely helping Nicki commemorate her latest accolade.

In a brief video soundtracked to her “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)”-sampling single, Minaj showcases her “Queen Sleeze” pendant, made of both normal and pink diamonds. It’s currently unclear how much the fashionista paid for the newest piece in her jewelry collection, but what she makes from her upcoming drop and tour will likely bring her enough money to buy dozens of more braggadocios accessories.

As the official release date for Pink Friday 2 nears closer, Nicki Minaj has been spilling some secrets about the long-awaited album. Earlier this week she teased some unique sounds that we can expect to hear when her project drops in the fall on Live. REASON Says Heated Moosa Interview Wasn’t A “Rollout Move” For New Album

In the age of social media, it’s not uncommon to see celebrities pull off PR stunts to draw more attention to their projects. Cardi B and Offset is a great example of a couple who have intentionally turned their real-life drama into cold-hard cash thanks to the internet. Of course, there are also those who accidentally go viral while promoting their work, such as TDE’s REASON. The lyricist revealed earlier this summer that his next LP, Porches, is due out this coming New Music Friday (August 11).

During his customary round of press interviews, the 32-year-old got to talking about some of the artists he’s collaborating with on the album, also revealing that some features – specifically with Latto and EST Gee – fell through, seemingly as a result of his label’s slacking. Before long, TDE co-president Moosa got on the line, and he was quick to assert that they weren’t sure about signing REASON in the first place. Some assumed that the feud was all an attempt to stir up streams for the project, but on Tuesday (August 8) morning, the “Extinct” artist shut that down.

Doja Cat’s New Album Will Be Rap With Singing Hooks, She Confirms

Doja Cat has had a rocky few months online due to near-constant feuds with her fans. Just last month, she loudly denounced those calling themselves “Kittenz,” and reportedly began blocking those contacting her about their alleged abusive experiences with her new boyfriend, J. Cyrus. Even with all the drama, Doja still decided to share her “Paint The Town Red” single this past New Music Friday (August 4), which was surprisingly enough to land her back in the good graces of many.

The catchy song arrived alongside a devilish visual, which seemingly pokes fun at those who have been long suggesting that the “Say So” singer sold her soul in exchange for more fame. It’s often hard to tell exactly how serious Doja is being, but on Monday (August 7), we received what seems to be some trustworthy news on her upcoming album. “I was going to try to do something where the album was rap hooks with rap verses,” she explained, as per @BuzzingPop on Twitter.

This is a similar approach she took to making her incredibly popular 2021 LP, Planet Her, so it won’t be surprising to see her fourth studio project find similar success. We have yet to receive an official release date from the genre-bending creative, and though she previously announced the title as Hellmouth, it seems she’s since changed her mind and will be reintroducing her work under a new name in the near future.

REASON’s “PORCHES” Album Coming This Month, Doechii, SiR, And More Will Appear

We can hardly keep up with all the new music coming our way lately, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited to see so many of our favourite artists thriving. Those at TDE have caught our attention in particular lately – including REASON, who announced on Tuesday (August 1), that his next LP, PORCHES will arrive on August 11. Along with that news, the 32-year-old also unveiled the full tracklist and roster of guest features, who are seriously impressive, to say the least.

The 17-song-long effort will begin with “Faded Off Poor N Riches,” which includes an appearance from London Money, followed by titles like “Caucasian Estates” and “At It Again.” After that, we hear from SiR and Kiilynn alongside REASON on “A Broken Winter Break” before several more solo tracks come through. Further down on the list, names like Ray Vaughn, Doechii, and Zacari also appear.

Drake Confirms Nicki Minaj Collab On “For All The Dogs” Album

Drake and Nicki Minaj have given us some of hip-hop’s most iconic collaborations over the years, from Thank Me Later‘s “Up All Night” to Take Care’s “Make Me Proud.” In addition to those, we’ve also heard them team up with Lil Wayne on “No Frauds,” “Seeing Green,” and “Truffle Butter,” as well as Chris Brown on “Only.” We haven’t heard them reunite in several years, but on one of his first It’s All A Blur North American tour dates, Champagne Papi confirmed that #Dricki will be reuniting in the near future.

“Imma give away one thing off the album in Detroit tonight, ‘cuz I got a lot of love for Detroit,” Drake told his audience on Saturday (July 8) night. “So Imma have to tell you, like, me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in like, a really long time,” he revealed, causing the crowd to loudly cheer and applaud. “I got a lot of love for her.” The father of one didn’t share any further details, but over on Twitter the Queen of Rap celebrated the news with a throwback photo of the Young Money members.

Tyla Yaweh Shares Feel-Good “SUMMER VIBES” Single Ahead Of Sophomore Album

Lil Uzi Vert has likely finally secured the genre’s first No. 1 project of the year, and we’re awaiting the latest from names like Drake and Travis Scott. Outside of the most popular chart-toppers, other creatives are putting out tunes that set the perfect “SUMMER VIBES,” such as Tyla Yaweh’s feel-good song that dropped on Friday (July 7).

The Florida native’s latest single will appear on his highly anticipated Heart Full of Rage 2 LP, a follow-up to his 2019 debut. As Broadway World reports, it’s due out via Epic Records on August 4, 2023, and fans can’t wait to hear what Yaweh has in store. “‘Heart Full of Rage 2’ ups the ante in every way, boasting an exciting array of collaborators and exploring all the different shades of RAGE (an acronym Yaweh lives by: Release All Good Energy),” the outlet explains of the upcoming album.

Tyla Yaweh is Bringing the “SUMMER VIBES”

“It dives further into the budding superstar’s influences., mixing his signature melodic cadence with rock and emo, pop, and hip hop sounds for an album that is uniquely Tyla Yaweh,” they added. “SUMMER VIBES” marks the 28-year-old’s first solo single since last December’s “MILE HIGH.” Over the past few months, we’ve heard him collaborate with HotBlock Jmoe and Almost Famous on “Role Play” and “Unsick,” respectively.

Post Malone Confirms “AUSTIN” Album Release Date & Tracklist

Now that he’s comfortably settled into his role as a first-time father, Post Malone is eager to get back to his full-time career as a musician. Since sharing Twelve Carat Toothache in June 2022, a lot has changed for the New York-born star, from his physical appearance to the operations of his day-to-day life. Much of that is likely to come up throughout his fifth studio album, AUSTIN, which he announced in May.

On Monday (June 26), Posty confirmed the release date for the project – July 28th – via Twitter. “My new record ‘AUSTIN’ has 17 songs,” he excitedly shared along with the other news. “Here’s a snippet of one of ’em, I love you!!!” the “Congratulations” singer’s message ended. Beneath, a 30-second teaser reveals what’s likely to be the album’s next single, as well as the complete tracklist and cover art.

Post Malone Announces 5th Studio Album, Teases Song Snippet

The highly anticipated release will begin with “Don’t Understand” and “Something Real,” two new songs before we move into familiar territory with his first single of 2023. Other interesting names we can’t wait to hear include “Novacandy,” “Too Cool To Die,” “Socialite,” and “Texas Tea.” Interestingly, no features are included on the list. Seeing as Malone frequently collaborates with friends in the industry, it’s likely he’ll begin to reveal who he’s worked with as AUSTIN‘s debut nears closer. On 2022’s LP, he connected with Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Gunna, The Weeknd, and others.

Ahead of sharing today’s tracklist, Post Malone has given fans two singles already this year. The first, “Chemical,” hit streamers in mid-April, and already has over 134M streams on Spotify. Drake Announces “For All The Dogs” Album To Accompany New Poetry Book

Even this deep into his career, Toronto native Drake always finds new ways to surprise his fans. After giving us two incredible features on Young Thug’s new BUSINESS IS BUSINESS album, the father of one has mostly been focusing his energy on preparing for his quickly approaching It’s All A Blur tour. Prior to that kicking off in Houston next week, Drake gave fans an update on the poetry book he’s been working on in tandem with Kenza, revealing that it’s called Titles Ruin Everything.

To share that news, Drizzy took out ads in papers like the New York Times and the Toronto Star, and it wasn’t long before fans noticed a QR code on them. As Complex notes, scanning will take you to titlesruineverything.com, where the Scorpion rapper confirmed that along with his book will come a new album called For All The Dogs. No official release date has been shared at this time, but the news is making waves across the hip-hop community this afternoon.

Throughout his 15-song tracklist, Gunna addresses the countless snitching allegations that have racked up against him. He also makes it abundantly clear that he’s focusing on succeeding musically, the same way he was before the YSL RICO indictment last year. It seems unlikely that a Gift & a Curse will come out on top, but it could make an appearance in the top 10 if things continue to turn in the embattled artist’s favour. Other new arrivals he’s up against include Killer Mike’s MICHAEL, Kiana Lede’s Grudges, and 6ix9ine’s surprise Reggaeton effort, Leyenda Viva.
