City Girls’ Yung Miami can’t seem to catch a break.

Lil Rod’s scandalous allegations against Diddy pulled the “Face Down” rapper’s name into the mountain of legal paperwork. Although she had continued to distance herself from her former beau, even denying claims of being a sex worker and allegedly transporting drugs at his behest. Somehow, Yung Miami still found herself at the center of another brewing legal matter.

Yesterday (April 6), Yung Miami was served with trademark infringement paperwork over her reported ‘Act Bad’ merchandise. A gentleman named Larry Taylor showed up at the rapper’s Houston, Texas, booking to give her a copy of the lawsuit.

In the now-viral video uploaded to his Instagram, Taylor explained that he was working on behalf of the alleged trademark owner, Charlie Cee (real name Charles Kenyatta Jr). Kenyatta, who owns Act Bad Entertainment, believes Yung Miami’s items conflicted with his company’s branding and overall likeness.

Yung Miami took to X (formerly Twitter) to refute the allegations. During an exchange with a user online, Yung Miami claimed that she never profited from the line.

In May 2023, as a member of City Girls, Yung Miami helped to popularize the phrase following the release of their collaborative song with Diddy and Fabolous.

Diddy is facing a new lawsuit, issued by Charles Kenyatta Jr. a.k.a. Charlie Cee for trademark infringement and breach of contract.

According to AllHipHop, Kenyatta is suing over the phrase “Act Bad,” stating he did not allow Diddy to use it for merchandise that was connected to his single of the same name. Diddy’s legal team is accused of ignoring emails in regards to the matter.

“The Certificate of Engagement and release Bad Boy Part 4 LLC contract was made and signed without the consent, assent or knowledge of Charles Kenyatta Jr.,” the lawsuit reads. “Plaintiff was entered into a contract with Sean Combs, owner of Bad Boy Part 4 LLC, without consent. The contract was sent to Plaintiff’s Entertainment Lawyer Andrew Covington on June 1st, 2023. The Plaintiff’s lawyer contacted defendant Sean Combs’ Lawyer Pamela Gurley and was told the contract was agreed by both parties. After that, Defendant Sean Comb’s lawyer stopped answering emails from Plaintiff’s Lawyer Andrew Covington.”

Adding, “Sean Combs made a song called ‘ACT BAD’ and wanted to [sell] Act Bad merchandise, a percentage of the net profits for recorded song and music video, also a percentage of merchandise T-shirts, hats, etc.”

Kenyatta is facing $10 million in damages. You can get more details on the suit here.

Diddy Faces Lawsuit Over “Act Bad”: Report

Diddy is facing a new lawsuit from a man named Charles Kenyatta Jr., who is accusing the Bad Boy Records founder of trademark infringement and breach of contract in New York. In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Kenyatta Jr., who is an inmate at Collins Correctional Facility, says Diddy infringed upon his trademark on “Act Bad,” by releasing a song by the same name, last year.

Kenyatta Jr. says Diddy stopped responding to emails from his lawyer after bringing up the trademark. “Sean Combs made a song called ‘ACT BAD’ and wanted to [sell] Act Bad merchandise, a percentage of the net profits for recorded song and music video, also a percentage of merchandise T-shirts, hats, etc.” Kenyatta explained in the filing. The filing adds that, being in jail, Kenyatta Jr. couldn’t sign the contract and therefore, Diddy should’ve forwarded it to his Power of Attorney. “Secondly, it was another person’s name on the contract that had to be removed. The percentage was not of Plaintiff’s liking, there was no upfront or advance monetary and it was a bunch of miscellaneous things plaintiff wanted to remove off contract.”

He further argued: “The defendant Sean Combs and John Doe had a scheme to illegally squeeze out Plaintiff Charles Kenyatta Jr. from the contract. Plaintiff’s lawyer told Defendant Sean Comb’s lawyer John Doe has no ownership of Act Bad and should not be on the contract. A few weeks after that the defendant Sean Combs and John Doe were on stage performing the song ‘Act Bad’ together. After defendant Sean Combs and John Doe signed contract without Charles Kenyatta Jr.’s consent, the defendant Sean Combs use of trademark caused confusion as to the affiliation, connection.” Check out Diddy’s music video for “Act Bad” below.

A new clip of Yung Miami and Diddy has hit the internet. In the clip, the collaborators are seen dancing to their hit track, “Act Bad.” The duo appeared to be in good spirits on their night out, despite some recent speculation about their relationship.

Earlier this week, the father of Yung Miami’s child appeared to call out Diddy in a Tweet. “@Diddy come get yo b*tch my n***a,” he wrote. Fans can’t be certain what prompted the Tweet, however, Southside and Yung Miami were just recently seen together. Diddy And Yung Miami Turn Up

Diddy was also just photographed with his arm around another woman, leading many fans to get upset. It’s unclear who the woman in the photo is, or what her relationship to Diddy is. Regardless, some fans were not happy that he looked to be enjoying a woman’s company outside of Yung Miami. Others called for users to leave both Diddy and Yung Miami alone, as they were never exclusive and even reportedly broke their fling off months ago.

Yung Miami confirmed her breakup with Diddy in April during an interview with The Cut. “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single,” she explained. “That’s not my man,” she continued, “We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were f***ing with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it.” Despite their split, Yung Miami and Diddy continue to appear close, even making out last month. Diddy Gave Diageo A Warning About Racially Sensitive Vodka Flavor

The relationship between Diddy and spirits giant Diageo fell apart last month. The rapper filed a lawsuit against the brand amid claims of racism against their partners. Shortly following that suit Diageo officially cut ties between their company and Diddy. According to HipHopDX, information from the lawsuit was made public yesterday that added some specific context and details from the legal proceedings. The suit alleges that Diageo mismanaged the rapper’s two alcohol brands DeLeon Tequila and Ciroc Vodka.

Included in the lawsuit’s allegations are claims that Diageo released a racially insensitive flavor despite being warned about it. “Diageo presented Combs with a watermelon-flavored version of the tequila, despite Mr. Combs’s objections and efforts to educate Diageo about the racial history and connotations relating to watermelon,” the suit reads. It also includes claims that Diddy’s brands were limited internally to just “urban audiences. “Cîroc and DeLeón continued to be described as “urban brands” within the Diageo portfolio.” The suit also includes an email Diddy wrote to Diageo’s former president expressing many of the same sentiments. The email spoke to the necessity of diversity and inclusion but according to the lawsuit its sentiments were ultimately ignored.

Diddy’s son Justin Combs was just handed down two charges stemming from a DUI arrest last month. He’s facing a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence and another for having a blood alcohol content higher than 0.08%. Justin’s arrest sparked beef between his mother and Diddy as she called out his parenting and influence.

Musically, Diddy put out his summer anthem last month. The track “Act Bad” sees him collaborating with City Girls and Fabolous. The song also ended up being used as evidence when Diddy was targeted by Justin’s mother following his DUI arrest. What do you think of Diddy’s allegations in the Diageo lawsuit? Young Rapper Accuses Diddy Of “Jacking” Her Song

Diddy dropped his new track alongside City Girls and Fabolous last week, titled “Act Bad.” He called the track the “song of the summer” on his Instagram page, however, one up-and-coming Queens rapper, Swinderella, has other ideas. An associate of the artist, Emilee Grey, claims that Diddy’s song copies Swinderella’s 2020 song of the same name. Swinderella also took to her own Instagram page to chime in.

“The industry will really send people to bite your whole entire swagg!” Grey wrote. “You never know who watching you, they not creative enough, they’re not organic enough!” The associate went on to say that Swinderella “DID ACT BAD 2 YEARS AGO,” adding, “DAMN you even stole the INTRO aesthetic.” Grey continued, saying, “The industry will be nothing without the underdogs,” and, “SWINDY YOU’RE NEXT.”

Swinderella Associate Says “Act Bad” Came Out 2 Years Ago

Swinderella wrote on her Instagram story, “They keep telling me I need a hit whole time I got em and the billionaires stealing my whole shit.” She’s also gone on to share posts accusing Diddy of stealing her track various times. Diddy hasn’t publicly responded to her claims at this time, and it appears as though no legal action has been taken.

Earlier this month, Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day accused Diddy of stealing songs from the group and using them on his 2006 LP, Press Play. “Diddy took 3 songs from us and put them on his album,” she claimed on Twitter. She added, “His song with Christina [Aguilera]. His song with Nicole [Scherzinger] from [Pussycat Dolls], it’s still d woods voice saying it’s bad boy bitch in the beginning & after love w Keri Hilson. All of those we recorded.” O’Day also previously claimed that Diddy has “mismanaged artists & stolen their money his whole career (including Danity Kane).” When Diddy hinted at bringing back his series Making The Band on social media in 2019, she also shared her thoughts under his post. “You had making the band because of US!” she wrote, adding, “Dare you to bring the true STARS back and show you can FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED.”

Yung Miami Sets The Tone For “Act Bad” Summer In A Super Tiny Swimsuit

When the City Girls and Diddy teamed up with Fabolous to drop the “Act Bad” music video earlier this month, many were surprised to see the father of six getting wilder than Yung Miami and JT for the camera. In the time since the catchy potential song of the summer landed on DSPs, we’ve also seen Caresha step out with Sean Combs to sit courtside for an NBA game. At the time their famous faces were seen on the jumbotron, aptly naming them “Mr. & Mrs. ‘Act Bad’.”

They were dripping in designer duds while at the game, but in her free time, Miami is making it clear what her vibes are for the coming months. From the looks of things, the rap diva will be spending plenty of time outside, showing off her bodacious body. Her Twitter profile has already been lighting up with videos of her throwing it back in the club at 3 AM and salacious, flirtatious messages to Moneybagg Yo’s partner Ari Fletcher. On Monday (May 29), she turned up the heat some more, sharing a clip of her saucily strutting through what looks to be a luxurious hotel pool area.

Yung Miami Reminds Us How to “Act Bad”

The mother of two wore nothing more than an ultra-tiny black one-piece swimsuit, the words “Act Bad” written across her chest. While Caresha’s front is fully under wraps, nearly her entire backside is on display in the thong-cut garment. “God d*mn! Miami said, ‘That’s a motherf*cking thong, b*tch!’” a friend recording behind the camera yells out. The City Girl nonchalantly walks past two people while showing off her goods, both of whom awkwardly stroll away as she proudly lets her star power shine.

It remains unclear what else Caresha, Diddy, and their other collaborators have in store to promote their new single, but knowing them, it definitely won’t be lowkey. Would you be brave enough to wear Yung Miami’s “Act Bad” swimsuit in public? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture/hip-hop news updates.
